Ooh, Jamie was thinking of working with the wolfsbane potion. That made sense! "What kind of changes would you make to it? I'll be honest, I don't know that much about it and I feel like kind of a jerk, since you have to take it and all," she frowned. How could she let someone she loved deal with something so often and not even know the details about it? It kind of seemed like a dick move to her and not something a girlfriend, or whatever, would ignore like she had. Honestly, she felt kind of bad she'd never even seen Jamies wolf form, even from a distance. When Andy mentioned that she beat people up, Jamie suggested that she was an 'avenging angel'. Andy laughed, shaking her head and giving Jamies hand another squeeze. "Yes, more dramatic but it also sounds like I'm dead," she pointed out, lifting her free hand to tap the tip of Jamie's nose.

“Honestly, Andy, I just don’t want to have to gag on a potion I’m taking once a month for the rest of my life.” Jamie wrinkled her nose. “I really can’t overstate how bad it tastes. Like, really bad. I’m surprised I haven’t heard an entire speech on it from Lily.” That girl could get going when she wanted to, and the bad taste of Wolfsbane was certainly a topic Jamie thought was worth rhapsodizing on. “And don’t feel bad for not knowing. I don’t think anyone’s asked about it before without me bringing it up first.” It was a sad reality: most people didn’t think about things that didn’t have a direct, immediate effect on their life. It didn’t mean they were bad people – just that there were too many things in the world for any one person to be able to think about them all. “You don’t have to be dead to be an angel!” Jamie insisted, squeezing Andy’s hand tighter. “Trust me. You’re my angel.” Jamie couldn’t believe how sappy she was being, but it was Andy. She had saved Jamie in more ways than one, and for that she was an angel.

Jamie said she didn't want to have to gag on the potion, to which Andy nodded sympathetically. She didn't really even know how bad it was. Jamie tried to explain by saying she couldn't explain, which was really explanation enough. "Lily probably doesn't take it. Just runs around eating people," she suggested with a grin. Lily Potter was one of the most insane people she had met, and she had met herself in kill mode. That was saying something. Different kinds of insane, of course, but still. Jamie told her not to feel bad for not knowing but Andy's frown grew. "Still, I should have asked. I think about myself too much," she waved her free hand. Jamie would protest, but it was true.
Jamie said that she didn't have to be dead to be an angel, her angel. Andy shook her head again, smirking just a little but in reality she was starting to feel the weight of her sins bearing down on her. Being with Jamie was like a breath of fresh air, a lungful, but Jamie didn't know her deepest, darkest secrets. Jamie didn't know the routine Andy had created for herself. Andy shook her head, "well, I'm nothing compared to you. And don't argue," she added quickly.

Jamie nodded in assent when Andy said Lily probably didn’t take the Wolfsbane Potion. “Hopefully not too many people. I would hate to have to visit Azkaban.” She didn’t think Lily was really that reckless, but really, visiting Azkaban was not her idea of a good time. Andy moved on to say she thought about herself too much, and Jamie shrugged her shoulders. People were wired to think about themselves first – it wasn’t something to be mad about, just something to recognize in case you got too far into it. “If you’re insisting you’re in the wrong, then at least know I forgive you.” To Jamie, there was nothing to forgive.
Again Andy insisted that Jamie was in the wrong, and Jamie just gave her an amused smile. She and Andy saw things very differently for two people who were so close, but it was comforting instead of chafing; there could be good in more than one kind of person. “Consider me argued out.” Jamie paused. “How about you show me what I’ve missed, huh?” Jamie tugged on Andy’s hand so they could go further into the Alley, a smile on her face for what felt like the first time in forever.
