“Oh, you mean like any normal person? Merlin Breeny, are you sure you’re okay?” Renard said sarcastically, adding to the ridiculousness that they were constantly thrown. Even thinking about being forced to marry at this early of an age drove him up the wall. If it happened, it happened, obviously, but there were constant ‘reminders’ whenever they were all together. They didn’t dare say anything to him when he was there on his own because he could easily walk out and not see them again for several months. Leaving Bryelle though wouldn’t be fair to her, and he could only imagine what sort of things they would subject her to. “Because I think popping children out as soon as possible without giving a damn about my career is the best thing either of us could ever do. Screw wanting a little independence here or there,” he added, chuckling a little to himself. She continued on to say that she wanted to do exactly what he had been doing, and he nodded his head. It was a good plan. The job didn’t even have to be something illustrious. All it had to do was pay the bills and then some, and the rest of the money could be used to continue that aforementioned comfy lifestyle. But there was always that possibility that he would hit it big at the casino, and turning that option away wasn’t something he wanted to do yet. He enjoyed the stress it brought, as strange as that sounded. “I don’t know about you, but I’m getting hungry. Leaky Cauldron should be calm by now, since all the parents waiting for the train will be gone,” Renard mused as he stood up and headed towards the front of his apartment to grab his jacket again. “If that’s still fine with you?”
