Ever since leaving Hogwarts, Edrik knew he would miss going to the festival and enjoying whatever festivities there was in store for him. With Iliana returning home for the winter, she had a tendency to bug both Edrik and his younger sister Irina, in an attempt to convince the two of them - as well as their parents - to join the younger Krum for what she would like to call…A day of fun. And eventually everyone caved in.
As hours passed and Edrik seemed to lose both his siblings and his parents, he wandered around, a sweet filled crepe in his hand. Thoughts crept his mind, especially around Tia who the Krum desperately wanted to see and talked too, but never found the chance. With his mind else where, it took a few minutes before Edrik heard the outburst of screams, dark eyes watching as a flurry of people pushed and rushed past him. With the roars of dragons making their presence, the Krum felt his eyes widen while his hand which held his crepe loosened, dropping the sweet treat to the floor. ”Holy…” He muttered, cutting himself off.
His mind worked a little faster than his body, internally yelling at him to move while his body played catch up. He knew the first priority would be his family, but with them somewhat spread out the festival…Edrik knew he would have to fend for the safety of others and himself…alone. As he ran, the Krum bumped into a few brave wizards, those who had their wands ready and were conjuring up plans to fight back against the dragons. Knowing that his father would be disappointed with his cowardliness, Edrik knew he wanted to help while prove himself as the man he truly was. Drawing out his wand too, he nodded in the direction of the stranger wizards, asking on what exactly he could do himself

Irina had been wandering around some of the booths of the Winter Festival; she had originally come here with her family of course, but they had all wandered off on their own. She had invited Daniel to come and join him, but it was rather crowded today for some reason, so she wouldn’t blame him if he decided to stay home. She was glad they had gone on their own before this on a weekday; it had been blissfully NOT crowded, which benefited the both of them very much. Still, she kept reaching down to grab a hand that wasn’t by her side, and she paused, debating whether to try out the Patronus messenger to see if he was coming. She had been working on it with her mentor, Lilith, as the way of communication was easier than trying to write something down if you were in the middle of a tomb or cavern and needed assistance. She had been able to get it done twice with near perfection, but a few other times it had come out garbled, and therefore useless. Sighing, she pulled out her wand to try the message, but was interrupted by sounds of screaming. “Wha…” she trailed off as she spun around and looked upwards. A dragon, a giant beast of a thing, was flying overhead, spitting tendrils of fire in its’ wake. Irina let out several colorful swear words her mother would probably chastise her about, then ran towards the action, where she knew her family would be headed. Her father had after all, handled a Chinese fireball when he was just eighteen years old, he was certainly skilled enough to help with this. And so was she. “Protego!” she cried, holding an invisible shield bursting forth from her wand over her head as some rooftop debris rained down towards her. The debris bounced harmlessly away and Irina breathed a sigh of relief. “Expecto Patronum,” she cried, concentrating on her recent trip with Daniel to bring forth good memories. Her Patronus, a bounding Northern Inuit Dog manifested, keeping in front of her as she ran. “Dragon...attacking Hogsmeade…” she panted, and sent the Patronus off to her boyfriend. She did not want him to hear she was at Hogsmeade when this attack occurred second hand; they had promised to be honest with each other, always. Finally, Irina spotted a familiar curly-haired young man, his wand aimed at the towering dragon above. “Ed!” she called, skidding to a stop next to him and covering his back instinctively. She supposed those Defense Against the Dark Arts class had done her good after all. “Where’s Papa, Mama? Where’s Ana?” she cried out, shooting up another shield to protect the pair from falling debris. Mentioned: @daniel @edrik , @viktor , @iliana

The Krum family had all decided to spend the day at the Hogsmeade festival which was a delight to Viktor. Since two of his children had already grown into fine adults themselves they didn’t get much time for all of them to be together. This had only lasted for an hour, possibly an hour and a half before everyone seemed to go there own way. They all wanted to see something different and he couldn’t blame them, there was a lot to see after all. Eventual it was just down to his wife Elena and himself walking Hogsmeade. He trusted his younger children to be fine on their own. “You know I vas here as a child and it looks the same besides the things for the festival.” Krum explained to his wife while they walked around. It was very similar to how he saw it when he was just a visiting student. The only difference was the added festival things and it was far more crowded than usual. “With Hermione I assume?” Elena asked teasingly as she was well aware of his past.
Viktor was just about to reply till the peaceful time at Hogsmeade was broken. People had started to scream far off with more joining and getting closer. Viktor had expected this to be some attack from the purifiers or some other group and had already reached for his wand. Looking around he found the true cause, something possibly even more terrifying as the shadow of a number of dragons flew by. While he was familiar with dragons this wasn’t one he particularly knew but it did remind him of his times as champion for Durmstrang. “Viktor, the kids..” Elena said in a panicked tone, Viktor having already started to worry. “It’ll be okay,” Krum reassured her as they decided to split up and look for their children or help whoever needed it. Yet he would be lying if he didn’t say his children where his top priority.
It didn’t take much long till Viktor caught sight of two of his children, Edrik and Irina back to back protecting one another. The feeling of fear for them was replaced with the warm moment of being proud before going back to worrying about the dragons attacking Hogsmeade. Running up to them he joined in putting up yet another barrier as he got his bearings on how best to help in the situation. “It’s good to see you both having each other’s back. Did I tell you I fought a dragon once?”

With his wand held high, Edrik and the few other wizards amongst him sent spells beyond spells to irritate and begin their attacks on the dragon. Concentrating immensely, his mouth open as he stood his ground, the Krum felt something collide against back — leading him to be rather relieved when it turned out to be his younger sister: Irina. ”Rina…” He breathed, huffing slightly, taking in some air for himself. ”Thank God you’re okay.” He paused, looking up at the dragons that flew over them.
”I-I don’t know! We all split up since we wanted to see different things! Ana said she would be meeting a friend today…” The male Krum couldn’t help but fear the worst, his family being in danger and worst of all, Iliana in grave pain considering she was the youngest with still a lot to learn. But it was like out of instinct, as moments passed with both the Krums protecting one another and others nearby when their father turned up. Edrik watched as his father ran up close by them, slowing once they were all near each other. ”Dad!” He yelled, a smile on his lips. But eyes slowly widened as more debris began to fall.
Pushing past his sister, with his wand held Edrik yelled: ”Protego!” Breathing a sigh of relief when the two of them were left unscathed. ”A million times.” He chuckled, dropping his wand by his side. ”Did I tell you I saved your life just then?” The brunette couldn’t help but be slightly cheeky towards his father, but nevertheless he hugged him, thankful that he was okay. ”Where’s Mum? Iliana?” He asked, once he detached from him.

Irina's head whipped around at her fathers' voice, eyes widening as he made his way over to his elder children. "Papa!" she screamed, frozen as the debris fell and almost hit him. Thankfully, Edrik's reflexes were quick, and protected their father as he joined the pair. "Less bragging Mr. Most Charming Smile Award winner," she cracked, trying to give them a second of laughter before they faced the danger that was in front of them. The dragons above them screamed, and a plume of fire shot over their head. "How did they get free?" she asked, more to herself than anything else. They were angry about something, that was for sure. But...she knew of a few dragon keepers at the Reserves, they were dedicated to ensuring the peace and safety of both humans and dragons alike. How could they let this happen? It certainly shook Irina's trust in the dragon reserves, that was for damn sure. "Papa you fought ONE dragon, there are more than that here," she added tightly; she was of course well aware of how Viktor had done against the Chinese Fireball all those years ago. But these dragons were no Chinese Fireballs. "You hit it with the Conjivictus curse, I remember. But that dragon was chained; not flying all over the place," she reminded him. She exploded a bit of falling debris into a shower of pebbles with a Confrigo curse before it could hit anyone. "What's the plan?" she asked. Ed had already checked on the welfare of their other family members; she wanted to form a plan so they could work together. @viktor @edrik
