Jan. 18, 2025 Anna was starting to get out into the swing of things again. Almost a month ago she and Lucy went off in search for Oscar, and all they found was his ring. Losing Oscar was really hard on Anna. She'd lost it, basically losing all desire to care about anything, but she'd had great family and friends around to support her and help her know that she wasn't alone. Her heart still ached for Oscar and she thought of him almost all the time, but she was getting to a point where she could function again. Next week she was going to start going back to Auror training again. However, this weekend, she'd agreed to meet up in the Three Broomsticks with her Aunt Ginny. Anna was excited to see her, sure that she was doing much better now that Uncle Harry was back. Not that they could talk about that in public, but she was happy for her aunt. She walked in and looked around the place. When she didn't see her aunt, Anna found a booth and slipped in as she waited, smiling as she glanced around. Even though it wasn't a Hogsmeade weekend and all the students couldn't be around, she loved this place. It was comforting to her. Ginevra Molly Potter

Harry was back. HARRY WAS BACK! She wanted to scream it from the rooftops, but she wasn't allowed. If she revealed that he was back, things wouldn't go smoothly. She had been sworn to secrecy, and she hated it. Only a small handful of people knew some family and friends knew, but the rest of the world didn't. She had to play the grieving wife that just learned her husband was dead when he wasn't.
She hated it, but she had to live with it for a little while longer. Luckily, she was able to see him around Hogwarts, now that they both worked there. Ginny had been offered a job a while back, by the current Headmistress, and she was reluctant to take it. But Ginny talked Harry into doing it, and he did the same to her. She mostly agreed because she wanted to keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't run away again. Though–he was under the disguise of another, which was a little shitty, but oh well. He was back, that was all that mattered.
But now that she taught at Hogwarts, she wasn't able to run into a lot of the regular people. Instead, she had to contact them to meet up, like her niece Anna, who was going through a horrible bit of trauma with the disappearance, and possible death, of her lover. Ginny had been lucky; she hoped the same would go for Anna.
She entered the place, snow covering her boots as she kicked them off and looked around for her niece, smiling as she found her. It was funny, the last time the two had spoken, it was Anna saying that she wanted to be a professor, and here Ginny was doing just that. "Anna!" she called, waving towards her niece before making her way over to the booth that she had found. "How are you?" she questioned, once closer, and slowly removed her coat before slipping in across from her.

Anna closed her eyes, enjoying the familiar sounds and smells of the Three Broomsticks. It felt nice to be out and about. After basically hiding herself in her apartment for the last month, being out was good. Hard, because she saw Oscar in so many of the things around her, but good at the same time. She was trying to focus on the positive now. Which meant, she was trying not to think of him when she was out in public. Like today, but that was harder said than done. Easier when she closed her eyes though. Anna sat in her booth with her eyes closed and a smile on her face until she heard her Aunt's voice calling to her. Anna opened her eyes, grinning and waving back as Aunt Ginny approached her. "Hi. I'm doing ... pretty well, all things considered," Anna answered honestly. She was still a bit of a mess, but at least Uncle Harry coming back gave her something to be happy about. "How about you? Flying professor at Hogwarts. Do you love it?" It was much easier to talk about other people than herself. Ginevra Molly Potter

The girl seemed lost in thought when she approached, but the moment she spoke up, the ginger's eyes open, and she started grinning and waving in her greeting. Ginny slipped into the both just as Anna concluded that she was doing pretty well with everything considered and she understood. Her husband had returned and Anna's lover, or husband, had disappeared himself. She felt for the girl; she knew exactly what she was going through. She hoped that the girl knew that she was there for her.
'How about you? Flying professor at Hogwarts. Do you love it?' Ginny laughed a bit and nodded her head, "I've been great. A little stressed - I never saw myself as a professor, I can tell you that. I hated school. But being there, teaching younger kids how to fly...it's amazing. And I get to ride a broom again," she said with a smile. Since Ginny still had the memories of her younger self to hold onto, it felt like forever since she had touched a broom - she missed it; "What about you? How is the training going?"

Anna smiled as her aunt talked a bit about how she was doing. She deserved to be happy, doing a job that she loved and Ginny teaching flying made sense to Anna. "I'm glad you enjoy teaching that much," she answered with a smile. Teaching was what Anna actually wanted to do. She'd love to teach charms or transfiguration someday, but in order to do that she needed experience, which was why she was working to become an auror. Now she had an ulterior motive too. She wanted to be able to finding missing people, and catch people who might be taking people. She shrugged when her aunt turned the questions to her. "I went back to training this week. It's ... weird being out in public again. I get super emotional very easily and I hate it. I wish I could turn off the emotions and just do my work, but I can't stop thinking about him and imagining him everywhere I go." If this were anyone else, Anna wouldn't admit as much as she just did, but this was Ginny. She just went through a very similar experience with Harry being gone. Ginevra Molly Potter

My power's turned on starting right now I'll be strong I'll play my fight song And I don't really care if nobody else believes Ginny never thought in a million years that she would be teaching at Hogwarts. But when she was contacted about doing it and having spoken to Harry about it - they agreed it would be a better fit than her current job at the prophet. A job that she lost passion for when she lost her memory. At least, Harry was there teaching under a guise. And he seemed to be having the time of his life, and as long as he was happy - so was she. After all that time of worrying about him, thinking he was dead, having him back was perfect. When she revealed to her niece that she enjoyed it, the other girl stated that she was glad she did. But when Ginny changed the question on her, she seemed to shrug it off. Revealing that she had gone back to training and even admitted to how she felt about Oscar's disappearance. Ginny frowned, "Still no word?" she questioned softly, her voice filled with sadness. She knew what Anna was going through, losing someone that you loved dearly - it hurt. She knew exactly what her niece was going through, and knew what to avoid when talking to her. Though she didn't want to treat her niece like she was avoiding walking on broken glass, something a few people had done when she had lost Harry. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Anna shook her head at her Aunt's question. "No word. It's like he vanished. We found his tent and I have his ring," his wedding ring. Anna gestured to the chain around her neck, the one that had Oscar's wedding ring looped in. "But other than that, he's disappeared and I don't know what to do." She wanted to search, but there was nowhere else for her to look. So Anna was trying to get on with normal life. She was trying to pretend like she wasn't so hurt, like she didn't miss him every day. Being around Lucy helped, but not entirely. She still missed the love of her life. "Do you ... have any advice?"

My power's turned on starting right now I'll be strong I'll play my fight song And I don't really care if nobody else believes It seemed like Anna was going through the same thing that Ginny had. Except, unlike Ginny, Oscar didn't leave behind a note. He just vanished without a trace, leaving the young woman behind without a clue of anything. Sure, Ginny was still upset that Harry had once again abandoned her, and slowly, time trickled by, and she grew more worried. Even when he turned up 'dead,' she still had hope, but a part of her felt like it was real. That he was truly and utterly gone this time, and that he wasn't coming back. Seeing Anna's brokenness as she said that she found his tent and ring, but that he only disappeared and she didn't know what to do, she frowned. She could see the same broken person in Anna, that she had seen in herself that Harry had been gone. 'Do you have...have any advice?' Ginny frowned deeply, trying to think of the best thing to say in this situation. "Have you reported him missing? Did you ask his family?" she questioned, unsure of exactly Oscar's side of the family. Were they alive? Or were they dead, just as Harry's had been? "Besides talking to others and asking about him...my best advice is not to give up hope."MADE BY VEL OF GS

It was nice to have someone to talk to. Not someone who told her that everything would be fine, or that she just needed to move on already, but to have someone who really understood. Someone who would let her express herself without any judgment. That was her Aunt Ginny. She nodded at Ginny's question, "I have reported him missing, but he doesn't have any family. They've all passed away." According to Oscar, she was his family. Which was part of what made the current situation so difficult. There wasn't anyone else who would know where he was. No one apart from her or his bosses. She forced a smile when her aunt told her not to give up hope. "I'm trying. I just feel so helpless. I wish there was something I could do." But that was the sad part of the whole thing. There was nothing she could do that she wasn't already trying to do. Ginevra Molly Potter

My power's turned on starting right now I'll be strong I'll play my fight song And I don't really care if nobody else believes Hearing that her niece was going through something so close to home had made Ginny's heartbreak. She knew just what the woman was going through, though the only difference was that the ginger before her still had her memories - something that Ginny lacked when Harry disappeared. But from the sounds of it, Oscar just vanished without a trace. When she questioned about reporting him missing and if he had a family to contact, Anna confirmed that she had reported him missing but lacked family. She frowned deeply, nodding her head. 'I'm trying. I just feel so helpless. I wish there was something I could do.' Ginny's heart continued to break with each word, seeing a mirror image before her. She felt her hands reach out, clasping the youngest girl's hands in her own. "Don't give up. Even if you feel like there is nothing you can do, don't stop. Are there places he frequented? Anywhere he might have gone that you haven't looked? Anyone he might have turned to that you haven't spoken to? Did he have any friends?"MADE BY VEL OF GS

Talking to Aunt Ginny about her situation gave Anna more relief than she could have possibly imagined. She was tired of trying to hold in her feelings, of pretending that everything was fine when it definitely wasn't. Sure, Lucy and others who were close to her knew how much of a struggle the past few months had been, but not everyone did. To others, Anna hoped that it seemed like she'd kept herself together. After the initial grief, that was. The thing was, Aunt Ginny was probably one of the only people in the whole world who could truly understand what Anna was going through, despite the fact that she'd lost her memories. At the time of his disappearance, she didn't know that Uncle Harry would come back. She didn't have any proof that he would. He'd disappeared in a somewhat similar way to Oscar. She looked into her Aunt's eyes as the woman took her hand and answered her, telling her not to stop. Anna felt the tears start to fall from her eyes, but she appreciated the help her aunt was giving her. This was the relief she needed, the support. She needed someone to tell her to keep fighting. "I'm looking into it," she answered. "I don't know everywhere he used to go in France. Most of the people he cared about are no longer ... there." Most everyone he loved was dead, except for Anna. "His best and closest friend died last fall. I'm still reaching out to people at his school. I think I already did everything I can in respect to his work and the job he was on when he disappeared." Her following those tracks was what led her to his lost wedding ring. Just thinking of that made the tears fall harder. "Do you have any other suggestions?"

Ginny found herself frowning deeply at her niece, it seemed that she had done everything that could be thought of. She sighed, "Have you talked to your Aunt Hermione yet? Perhaps she could put favor in and get someone to look into his case? Maybe bump him up the priority list in the missing person cases..." It was Hermione that made sure that Harry was the top priority when it came to looking for him; perhaps she could do it again for Anna? "Other than that, I think you've done everything that you can..." she breathed out softly to her niece, knowing she likely didn't want to hear that there was nothing else that could be done. @annelise ● we can wrap this up if you'd like! Anna's eyes widened at her aunt's suggestion. "I ... hadn't thought about that before. Thank you. I'll be sure to reach out to her soon." Honestly, how could she have missed that? Of course Hermione knew what was going on with Anna. She knew she'd been struggling, knew that Oscar was missing. Was she waiting for Anna to ask for help? Had she already taken some of these measures? Anna wasn't sure, but she knew she should reach out to her aunt to find out. She nodded when Aunt Ginny said it seemed like she'd done everything she could. That's how Anna felt. She'd reached out in so many ways, searched so many avenues. She didn't know what else to do, which was part of the reason why she'd asked. Anna forced a smile. "Thank you. I'm sorry our conversation had to be so serious. Maybe next time we can have a normal conversation." She leaned forward and hugged her aunt. "Thanks again for meeting with me." Ginevra Molly Potter(You wanna end it?
