She said she didn't know anyone else and honestly, Dan wasn't about to go on a hunt for her. He went through his stuff on his own, mostly, and as much as he wanted to help others he wasn't sure that he could really do much. Plus, with his own ability he just didn't have the energy to go around searching for people. She asked if he knew anyone, which he expected. He shook his head, "not really... I kind of keep a small group of acquaintances," he admitted. He wasn't really ashamed of the fact, since he had been that way even before his powers came into fruition a few years ago. When he looked back, he knew they had always been there but now they were just... awake, really. It could have been the same thing for her. "In the mean time I'd say don't experiment, maybe..." he considered, "a power like yours is much more dangerous than mine. Sure, it should only have good implications but you never know." Great, now he was going to freak the kid out. maxima ruqayyah greyback

March 30, 2025 “Not really… I kind of keep a small group of acquaintances,” Daniel told her about any possible leads as far as Healers were concerned. It was almost funny to Max that she might have had more connections than Daniel did. She—antisocial as she had always been—with more connections than a Quidditch player! She appreciated his honesty, though; she would just have to work to find someone who would be willing to even discuss it. Maybe the nurses at Hogwarts knew someone? That was one route. Or Jamie? She was at St. Mungo’s enough… “In the meantime I'd say don't experiment, maybe…” It wasn’t an unreasonable request, nor was it one that Max thought that she would have trouble following. “A power like yours is much more Danielgerous than mine. Sure, it should only have good implications but you never know.” Max knew. She couldn’t take any chances, and she didn’t want to. She didn’t want to have that burden on her shoulders if she could avoid it. Besides, it was easier to pretend that the ability that she had—however it had come about and whatever she could do with it—wasn’t there. She could do that. Understanding Daniel’s point, she nodded quickly. “I-I’ll be careful,” Max promised him. Then, she cracked a small smile again. “I haven’t got people lining up, you know?” The one good thing about her power, if there was one, was that she already knew that she could control it. If she didn’t touch anyone’s injuries—or if she just used magic in the “normal” way—then she would be in the clear.
“But, er… I’ll look for Healers. Somehow.” Maybe there was someone who knew something about all of it—why people like her and like Daniel were how they were. Max didn't know for certain, but she at least had to try.

She said that she'd be careful, smiling again. She said she hadn't got people lining up, which caused him to give her a little smirk as well. "Then it should be easy," she was lucky that she couldn't sense when people where hurting, as far as he could tell. He could sense that. In fact, they might make a good team in that regard, but he wasn't planning on being on a team with anyone. She said she'd look for healers and he took the last sip of his drink, swallowing quickly to speak. "Start at the school, the nurse staff. They're smart, they can help," he hoped. He cleared his throat and moved to stand, "I should get going now. Maxima," he leaned forward on the table for a moment to bring himself a little closer to her, "there is more to you than this. Don't forget that."maxima ruqayyah greyback(the end)
