April 25th, 2025 Gabriel had always wanted to perform at the Phoenix Theatre. What performer didn't? He was excited for today because his class was able to take a tour of the Theatre as an end of semester treat. The group was standing right off stage, but Gabriel and a few others were standing on the stage looking around at the current set they had up. They were told not to climb to the upper level, for safety reasons, so Gabriel was turned away from the audience looking up at the top where some of the techies were working on the set.

It was another day at work for Cassandra. She was working on a scenery piece for their upcoming production, and the actors were elsewhere, working on lines, or choreography. The piece was a large board mounted so that it would stand upright. It was placed just off center, with a few other pieces that were just about done, and not quite dry. She had done the basic shapes, but wanted to check to see if the layout looked right from the different angles of the audience. The easiest way to get around the seats - in her personal opinion - was as a cat. The spotlights had been set up by the tech crew in just the right way, per her flirtatious request, and she soared through the seats unseen.
Right when she was finishing up her check using different angles, and distances, a group of students came walking onto the state. "What?!" thought the girl. That was when she remembered what her boss had told her. They were expecting a class of actors from WADA, who were coming by for a tour. It was exciting, because not long ago. Not in their exact shoes, but she remembered well, coming to this theater, and others, and thinking about what a dream it would be to work in a marvelous place like this. In short, she was living the dream that her younger self had thought up. She was working at the Phoenix Theater, of all places, and she was an independent artist outside of that. She watched the group on the sate carefully as she started on her way back up to them. No one seemed to notice as she flawlessly jumped onto the stage and morphed back into her human self "Please do not touch that" She said - in a thick French accent - to a younger boy whose fingers were about an inch away from her masterpiece. "It is not dry yet"

Gabriels eyes were drawn away from his view of the second level of the stage when a... cat? What? It appeared as if out of nowhere and turned into a woman on the stage. She spoke in a French accent to one of his classmates, who blushed and ran away from her, back toward the students who were in the wings getting a tour talk about the rigging system. Gabriel crossed over to the cat lady. "It's beautiful work. You painted this?" he asked, nodding his head toward the piece in question. He wasn't much of a painter but he had always admired the skill and was required to do a scenic painting segment in his stage hand class at school. He looked at her work, eyebrows raising slightly in admiration. He had always wondered how the artists of the world has such amazing hand-eye coordination. He did too, sure, when dancing.

The boy scurried back to the herd of students. Perhaps she had been too brash. But the stupid child should have learned by now to respect art, and not to touch it. Even if he had just touched it, no one would have noticed. But Cassandra always put her best foot forward when it came to her art, inside the theater and out. Another boy, who was also on the state, but seemed to be previously preoccupied in watching those above, working things out, crossed over to her. "Oui, I am the artist" [[Translation=yes]] She smiled and moved closer to the piece, with cat like silence. Her hear feet pointed, and she moved on the balls of her feet. "You are from WADA, no?" She observed, spotting the other students who were on the state, moving back to join the tour. "Do you paint" She motioned to the board that she had just started with a few strokes, to get the placement right. He wasn't a bad looking young man, if she said so herself.

She said she was the artist, confirming, and he grinned. Her smile was bright too, which wasn't surprising to him. As an artist it was amazing when someone liked your work. She asked if he was from the school and he nodded, "I am, yeah. Second year musical theatre," he explained. She asked if he painted and he shook his head with a small frown. "No, sadly, I do not. My talent lies in performance. Which would definitely be bland and flat if it wasn't for painters like you," he complimented. Really, he could perform in a black box theatre, sure, but as an actor he preferred the environment of a full fledged set with all the workings of the lights and moving pieces. Muggle theatre was amazing too, but magical theatre had a crazy charm all on it's own. "Did you attend W.A.D.A. as well? Or somewhere in France?" he had no idea if France had any schools like that.

The boy stated that he was into musical theater and Cassandra smiled again "I love the musical theater, so much better than just words" Having grown up around music and dance, it was no wonder that she felt this way. He then complimented her art once again and she drew closer to him still "You flatter me." But she wouldn't, not take the compliments. He was cute, and he was complimenting her, what more could she ask for. She shot a quick glance to the tour, who seemd to be talking about different charms that were used backstage. The boy didn't seem to have noticed, that was good, she like him and wanted to keep him to herself as long as she could.
"Did you attend W.A.D.A. as well? Or somewhere in France?" the boy asked her. It was a good question. There were a lot of performing schools in France, but no magical ones as prestigious as WADA "Yes, I graduated from WADA just last year." She hadn't been out long, but she had definitely climbed in the art world. Her personal pieces were going into local galleries in Paris, where her personal studio was. Not to mention her job here. So, unless she was wrong, and the one she was talking to had just started the performing school, it was possible that they were going to school at the same time.

She said she loved the musical theater, that it was better than just words. He nodded, ”music makes a statement that words just... can't,” he agreed. That was why musical theater was so beautiful. It took feelings to a whole new level, it elevated emotion. She said that he flattered her when he complimented her again, and he grinned with a little shrug. ”Credit where it's due.” Gabriel was fine with just chatting with the girl for now, not worrying about his tour group.
She said she graduated just last year and he nodded, he didn't remember her exactly but to be fair he was pretty deeply ingrained in his first year studies and it was hard to focus on anything else. ”Awesome! I'm Gabriel, by the way. Gabriel Ollivander,” sure, he was a little proud of his last name and most people knew of it, even if they didn't grow up there.

Cassandra blushed as the boy complimented her. He defiantly was cute. Though she was at work, she was not above a little flirting. The fact that he was into theater was the perfect bonus. He did seem younger than she was, but that never stopped her before. She glanced at the backdrop boards that she had been working on. They weren't her favorite pieces, but they were for a good cause. Then the boy introduced himself. It was only nice to return the politeness. "It is a pleasure to meet you Gabriel, I am Iris Moreau." That was the name that she signed on her paintings, and did her shows under. "What year are you at school?" It was always fun to talk about school. She stayed longer, just so that she could take some extra classes.

”Iris,” he nodded, taking in her name. She asked what year he was, saying it was nice to meet him as well. ”I'm a second year,” he explained. ”I'll be honest, I don't see a lot of the tech majors because we're always trapped in a rehearsal room while they're getting the beautiful sets ready. Plus, first year I didn't do as many shows so that's probably why I missed you around,” he explained. He was sure he would have noticed her if he had been paying attention but, alas, first year was first year and he was incredibly into other things.
His tour group started to gather up again, and he held a finger up to her to listen to the professor. ”We'll take a lunch break now. Go ahead and get food back in the green room, or go out and get some. You have thirty minutes to meet back here,” the professor said. Gabriel smiled, turning back to Iris. ”Guess I have some extra time.”

So he was a second year. That meant that they had both been at WADA for her last year at the school. She did take dance electives so she understood what he was talking about. "I know how that is. I took dance classes my first year." She didn't have much time when it was getting closer for her to graduate. She was also too busy trying to become an animagus. "It's a shame we didn't meet at school" Oh the damage they could have done. They still could do some damage.
The group of students, just off the stage seemed to gather, and the boy held up a finger and the two listened to the one who was obviously in charge. The professor told the group that they would be breaking for lunch. It was about that time. ”Guess I have some extra time.” Gabriel had said to her. Smiling, she looked up to the cat walk and yelled up to one of the stage hands in French, He responded by lowering the spotlights that were aimed at the stage. "Guess you do." She purred as she slid closer to him. "Are you feeling hungry?" She inquired, slightly looking at the boy almost as if he was prey. Almost.

She said that she took some dance electives, so she understood the grueling schedule of performers. And, just being a stage tech of any kind she would understand that too. He nodded, "what dance classes did you take? Did you like them?" He loved dance classes. Singing was his strong suit, acting second and dance third, but he still loved every second of it. Especially jazz and tap. He was better at jazz out of the two, but he was happy to do a tap-dance anytime he could pick up a routine.
When he said he had some extra time, he looked up as she shouted in French to someone who was pointing a light their way. Then she confirmed that she noticed he had the extra time, and took a step closer to him asking if he was hungry. He raised an eyebrow at her, and his lip raised up in a small smirk as well. "Yeah, food would be nice, Iris." he gave a small bow and gestured toward the door, suggesting that she lead the way out.

The boy asked her what dance classes she had taken and Cassandra smiled. "I took a couple ballet, along with a modern dance class" Her mother was a ballerina. Because of this, she had always felt like she was expected to take some dance. That was fine, She was always one that loved to dance. "I would have focused more on dance, if my true calling didn't end up being this." She motioned to her finished painted set piece. 2D art was always her strong suit. But she loved to talk about the theater, any aspect of it. "What have been your favorites?"
Cassandra asked if the boy was hungry, and he responded that he was. This wasn't what caught her attention the most, but the smirk that acompanied it. Perhaps they would have time to do more than just eat. "This way" She purred as she lead out of the theater and to a food cart not far form it. "This is the best food around."

She said she took ballet and he shook his head, shuddering a little. ”Oof, never was that good at ballet,” he admitted. He could do it when the occasion called for it, but it was definitely not his favorite class. Cass looked liked she had the right form for it, so she probably did pretty well. She said she would have focused on dance if it wasn't for the set painting, and he turned back to look at it with a nod. ”I think you made a good call,” he complimented.
She asked what have been his favorite classes, dance he assumed she meant. ”I'm a big Jazz fan, mostly Bob Fosse. Tap is cool too,” he suggested with a nod. He didn't want to say he was 'good', but those were the ones he liked.
She agreed to food, suggesting the way he should go. He raised an eyebrow at her with a small smirk, ”alright, alright,” he agreed happily. They arrived at a food cart and he turned to look at her, ”what should I get? What's the best?”

Cassandra noticed the boys reaction at the term Ballet. She wasn't surprised. Not many men enjoyed Ballet as a dance form, but there were a small few. Cassandra had grown up with a ballerina and had been dancing and mimicking her, and the others in the company since she was little. It was a natural love for her. When she had mentioned her true calling, painting, was the better choice she laughed "It helps me stay close to the theater." The theater had always been a home away form home. With her parents both having jobs in it, it was often that they both traveled, and they took their perfect little girl with them. Cassandra literally grew up in the theater, and there was no way she was leaving it any time soon.
Cassandra naturally moved the conversation away from her, and he had answered about his favorite dance classes. She hadn't taken the classes, but had seen performers show off those styles through showcases that she was required to go to while she was at school. "They always looked so much fun" She commented about the styles. As he raised his elbow, the girl took it, widening her smile as she led him outside.
Arriving at the food cart, there weren't too many people out luckily, and so they were able to order quickly. The truck was a German street food food truck that was run by a couple who had moved to Ireland with the hopes of one day having a successful free standing restaurant. For now, they were satisfied with a successful food truck. Cassandra knew that he couple and their workers were muggles, but they had found that this spot got them a lot of repeat service. ”what should I get? What's the best?” The boy had asked. "My favorite is the Döner. But it's a lot of food. If you are not that hungry, I would get the bratwurst." She smiled at the boy, still holding his arm and greeted the owner with a smile, gesturing to give them a minute "And I'll buy. I know what it is like to still be in school" She purred.

She said that ballet helped her stay close to the theater and he nodded, "that's singing for me, more than dance. But I love both," he explained. Just not ballet, of course, has he had already said. He didn't feel the need to restate that, though. She said that jazz and tap looked fun, when he brought up that he liked those dances the most. As she took his arm, he laughed. "Yeah, they are fun! I think that upbeat stuff is more my style. That way I'm moving so fast that no one can tell if I miss a step," he suggested, still chuckling.
Once at the food cart, she suggested a few things depending on his hunger and offering to buy. "Oh! No, seriously, that's okay," he paused, shaking his head, "Alright, alright. I'll let you, but only because you make a cute cat," he joked. He turned toward the owner, "the bratwurst, please," he ordered. He looked over at her. She looked so... comfortable here.
