I'll try to make our hearts beat in time, Even though your rhythm might not be with mine
APRIL 19, 2025 With everything bad that has been happening in the world, Daisy was glad to see something good coming from it. With the attack on Hogsmeade Village over the Christmas holiday, the idea of a fundraising event hosted to help rebuild the village was something she needed to go to. Luckily, her aunt and uncle weren't opposed to her going and signed a permission form that allowed her to attend with the rest of the school, something that made her giddy with excitement. She was ready to smell the roses and enjoy herself with her classmates and the entire school. Luckily, when the weekend came, she was prepared — scrambling around the girl dorms of Slytherin getting ready in a floral themed outfit, pushing her long blonde hair back so that it was out of her face but still flowing down her back. She smiled at herself in the mirror as she applied minimal make-up before joining those that were attending the event to head over. They were going by portkey, the easiest way for those that did not know how to apparate yet and she was giddy. And with one blink, they were off, disappearing in a swirl and scream before appearing outside of the festival, some still standing and others falling to their butts, the latter being what Daisy had done. Standing up, she brushed herself off before they all made their way into the festival, and each of them disappeared on their own. Along the way she bought a flower crown made of daisies, fitting she thought, before making her way to a maze of flowers. Slowly she made her way through, smelling the flowers as she went. It was soon that she realized that she was lost, looking left and right in a timid matter. She took a deep breath, "It's okay Daisy...I'm sure someone will come looking for those lost before the end of the event. Hey, you never know...maybe you'll find your way out before that happens," and with those encouraging words, she continued through the maze, stopping to smell a patch of roses with a smile. She continued like this for some time, the sounds of other people walking around filling her ears, even the sound of laughter and giddy screaming – as if someone had come up behind them and scared them – was heard from where she was currently moving. She frowned, perhaps she should follow the laughter or maybe even the scream? Perhaps those people will know how to get out, or at least, allow her to tag along to help find the way out. She shook her head, no – it’s probably a couple snogging in the maze, and she did not want to witness that. She was facing the left and quickly spun around to head right, heading straight into a warm body and sending herself flying back, landing on her back against the ground. She groaned, slowly moving into a sitting position and her world was a little blurry as she rubbed the back of her head, which had semi-hit against the ground. “Sorry,” she breathed out, “I should know better than not to pay attention to my surroundings.” Then again, how had she not heard the person walking in her direction? Was she that distracted by her thoughts? OPEN THREAD!

April 19, 2025 Oona had never seen so many flowers in one place, and she especially hadn't seen as many magical plants anywhere larger than the Hogwarts greenhouses. Yet there she was, inside the largest greenhouse she had ever seen, surrounded by flowers and… knowledge. It was wonderful, and she had no idea where to start!
After exploring for a little while, Oona decided that the hedge maze looked most interesting to her, if only for the challenge of finding her way out of it. Hopefully, she thought, it would be difficult enough to be fun and not incredibly obvious from the start.
She started to work her way through the maze a short time later, walking with calculated steps but never once fearing getting lost inside of the rose bushes. As she walked, she could hear some others taking the maze less seriously than she was—inevitably throwing her off course.
Oona frowned, realizing that she would have to retrace her steps. She started to do so, counting in her head as she went. So focused on her steps, she didn't realize that she was going to run into someone else until it was too late to do anything about it.
She looked up at the sensation of bumping into somebody else, realizing that the person she had hit was Daisy Cresswell, a girl in her own year.
"Sorry," Daisy apologized. "I should know better than not to pay attention to my surroundings."
Oona nodded. The same had gone for her, too. "It's alright. I was counting," she shrugged, holding out a hand to assist Daisy from where she had fallen on the ground.

The moment she made eye contact with the person that she had run into, she recognized them. They were in the same year as her, just a different house. If she remembered correctly, her name was kind of weird and not easily rolled off the tongue. O...Oona! Yes, that was it!
The girl also seemed to have been lost in thought, saying that she had been counting and that it was alright, before holding out her hand to Daisy. She smiled, embarrassment filling her, "Thanks," she breathed as she took the outstretched hand and was pulled to her feet. Once standing, she brushed off her bottom and grimaced. "Well, that's going to bruise," she breathed out to herself, but it was probably loud enough for the other girl to hear.

April 19, 2025 Daisy thanked her as she accepted her hand and got back to her feet. Oona was glad that they were about the same size; she wasn't the physically strongest person in the world, but it did take her a little bit of effort to help pull the other girl to her feet again.
"Well, that's going to bruise," she overheard the Slytherin say something about how she was going to end up bruised as the girl dusted herself off.
"Are you alright?" Oona checked cautiously. "I haven't hurt you, have I?"

She dusted herself off, brushing at her butt and her pants. It was then that she heard the girl speak, asking if she was alright and if she had hurt her. Daisy snapped her attention up and shook her head, "Oh no. I'm not hurt. A bruise is nothing, are you hurt?" she questioned, her voice sounding cautious as she stood to her full height to address the brunette.

April 19, 2025 Daisy, realizing that she had been spoken to, focused her attention on her. "Oh no," she said, shaking her head in response to Oona's question, "I'm not hurt." She added that a bruise was "nothing", although Oona begged to differ; a bruise was still a sign of injury, though at least she got the notion that whatever their collision had caused wasn't severe enough to have to go find a Mediwizard. "Are you hurt?"
Oona shook her head in reply. She was unhurt. "No," she assured the blonde, "I'm not hurt." She hadn't so much as fallen.
