APRIL 19, 2025 Attending Hogwarts with both of her best friends was something that she would always cherish. She was glad that their mother was so willing to send them to the school in London, leaving her time to will her mother to let her go as well. Thus, the reign of the Kolstad twins and herself had begun, or somewhat begun. Now with the second term almost over, she felt like time was flying by. Before she knew it, the three of them would be graduating, and she didn't know what to expect.
However, she wouldn't dwell on that today, not when she was attending the Flower Festival. Already wearing a flower crown and sporting a henna tattoo, she made her way to the maze that was nearby, entering at her own accord. Usually, she was great with mazes, but today, this one proved difficult. She made her way through, turning in directions that she thought would get her out, but alas, it felt like she was getting deeper and deeper into the thicket. And just as she turned a corner - BAM! - she slammed into someone.
She stumbled backward, catching her footing before she landed on her ass, rubbing her arm in which had hit one of the thorns and scratched her when she attempted to save herself. "Shit," she hissed before looking up at the person. Was she a little sad it wasn't Steve or Nora? A tiny bit. But she knew this person; they were in the same house. "Shit-I'm sorry. Are you okay?" she questioned, concern in her voice.

Kinsey was happy to give the flower festival a try. She'd never heard of it before, but this year the school was doing some sort of an event with it and it seemed fun. She was glad for the chance to be out of the castle and relaxing. It was nice to be able to blend into a crowd now. All the attention that she got after the attack was mostly gone now and Kinsey was definitely glad for it. She didn't like being the center of attention for a good reason. Being the center of an attack was even worse. Today she decided to try out the maze. She'd never done one before and was curious. Kinsey wandered around on her own, not really stressing about leaving or anything, just taking in the sunshine happily. That is, until she ran into someone as she turned a corner. Kinsey took a step back, dazed. Apparently the girl had been going much quicker than she was. She extended a hand to the girl, "I'm fine," she answered easily. "You? Sorry I didn't see you there," Kinsey told her. She didn't really know whose fault it was that they collided, but she didn't care. "You okay?" she echoed the other girl's question. @cameron

She had seen this person around, did she know their name? Not really. Did she care? Again, not really. But she knew them - they had been attacked by that girl? Shit...what was her name?! The girl seemed fine, and even confirmed so, and apologized for having not seen her there before returning the question.
She shrugged her shoulders, "I'm fine - just a little scratch. I've had worse," she said with a laugh. "You're....Kinsey, right?" she questioned, doing a little victory dance within her brain as she remembered the name that had been spoken all over the school for a while after the engagement party flop and the attack.

Well, at least the girl wasn't hurt. That was definitely a good thing, even though she didn't recognize the girl. Interesting, though not really surprising. With so many more people at the school this year, she didn't really pay attention to everyone like she should. That and the fact that she had quite a few personal problems she'd been dealing with for most of the year. She smiled, "Well, I'm glad you're okay." Then the girl said her name, asking if she was Kinsey. Kinsey smiled and nodded, "Yeah, that's me. Sorry, I don't know your name ..." Kinsey actually felt bad about that, even though most people in the school knew who she was after everything that happened with Riley recently. @cameron

'Well, I'm glad you're okay. Yeah, that's me. Sorry, I don't know your name...' Cameron wasn't that surprised that the girl lacked knowing her name. The blonde was good at listening and remembering things. There were times when she had seen the brunette walk into the Common Room and greeted by name — even seeing the woman made the name pop into her head. So her not knowing her name, she would have been surprised if she knew her name.
She smiled, noticing that the girl looked guilty. "I'm Cameron - Cammie...It's okay; we've never officially met. I've head people refer to you by your name...I have a good memory," she said with a laugh.

At least the girl wasn't offended that Kinsey didn't know her name. She introduced herself, admitting that the two of them hadn't actually ever met before, which did make Kinsey feel a bit better about things. She just didn't want to seem like the kind of person that didn't care about others, she'd just ... had a pretty hard year, all things considered. She smiled at the blonde, "Oh, well it's nice to meet you Cammie." She smiled as she glanced at the maze around them. "So, you have any idea where you're going in here? I'm pretty sure I'm completely lost." Kinsey chuckled, trying to decide which way she should try next. @cameron

One moment in time To carve our names with fire With everything on the line Watch the world ignite This is a revolution We are rising up Cameron was a wallflower and was used to people not knowing her name. The only people that mattered were those that she deemed worthy of remembering it or knowing it for that matter. She had more friends back in Ilvermorny, and more people knew her name from there. But Hogwarts, it had become a whole different playing field. It was harder, there were more people, and Cammie just kept to Steve and Nora. But that didn't mean Cammie didn't know how to listen, and she had a pretty good memory. She was better with faces than names, but if she saw a lot of the person and heard their name - it was the best of both worlds. It helped that Kinsey was in her house. 'Oh, well it's nice to meet you Cammie. So, you have any idea where you're going in here? I'm pretty sure I'm completely lost.' A smile appeared on the blonde's face, and she shrugged her shoulders. "I thought I knew. I guess I was wrong. At this point, I might have to wait for the event to end, and they come to rescue us." A snort left her lips, followed by a laugh. She pointed in a direction, "I came from that way. And that was a dead end," she added, pointing in another direction; "It's this area here that has me lost."@kinsey ● i am so sorry... It was nice to talk to someone new, to be able to smile and joke around with someone who wasn't out to get her but was just nice and sweet. It was something Kinsey definitely wasn't used to, but she wished she could be. She wanted to get back to the version of her that trusted people and actually believed they were good. Maybe Cammie could help her with that. Kinsey chuckled with her, "I'm right there with you. I came from that direction," she pointed down a different avenue before rolling her eyes and shaking her head, "So at least we can rule out three places. Let's see if we can't figure this out together. Let's try this path," Kinsey suggested, grabbing the girl's arm and pulling her for a split second before letting go. Kinsey was trying to be friendly, not controlling. @cameron

One moment in time To carve our names with fire With everything on the line Watch the world ignite This is a revolution We are rising up Cameron was regretting coming through this maze. She had gotten lost a few times now, but each time it had been easy to backtrack. Now, with so many paths surrounding her, she was at her wit's end. Running into Kinsey was like a saving grace of some sort. Revealing the dead end, thus, resulted in Kinsey saying where she had come from. The blonde nodded her head, letting out a breathe, that ruled those out. Kinsey was quick to point this out before saying that they should try and get out of the maze together. The blonde nodded her head once more, "Let's go." The words came out just as the brunette grabbed her arm, pulling her a little towards the path she had pointed towards before letting go. That was all Cameron needed to follow. "Hopefully, we don't run into another part that has like a thousand different ways to go," she breathed out before shaking her head, "But at least we know we're close to the end. Mazes usually save the hardest part for last."MADE BY VEL OF GS

Kinsey was actually pretty happy to have someone to go through the rest of this maze with. While doing activities like this could be fun, in her experience it was always more fun when you had someone to do it with. So running into Cameron was perfect! The pair of them started making through their way, Cameron muttering a hope that they wouldn't run into a million more dead ends and Kinsey chuckled. "Well, if we're close to the end it might be extra tricky then. How about we mark the path we take?" she asked, pulling out her wand. "I'll transfigure something at every turn we make so that if we have to backtrack, we'll know what we already did. How does that sound?" She was just planning on changing the color of a patch of grass or something. Nothing big. As long as Cameron liked the idea. @cameron
