Sav has kept in contact with Anna Weasley since he saw her at the Fudge engagement party last month. After she had confided in him he felt the desire to be there for her even though he knew that there were definitely people who could help her more than he ever could. He didn’t know anything about this sort of thing. But he knew that he and Anna had been friends and that he wanted to continue that friendship. She needed friends and honestly so did he. He had his guy friends. But Sav wasn’t good at being friends with women. Anna was a good person to befriend. So he sent her an owl and asked her to meet him in Hogsmeade for lunch on the Saturday of the March Hogsmeade weekend. He stood leaning over the fence that looked out onto the Shrieking shack in the distance. It always interested him. Mostly because it was a place he could take girls and almost always get a kiss out of the deal.

March 29, 2025 The past month went by relatively quickly. Anna was back in the swing of things when it came to auror training and she was doing very well there. She still missed Oscar a ton, but it was starting to become a constant ache instead of a sharp pain, which was a relief, though a sad one. She hated the fact that Oscar wasn't there anymore, that she was having to try and readjust her mindset to get used to the idea of never seeing him again. It was sad. And terrible. However, she was glad that after attending that engagement party, she had someone to talk to again, outside of work. Sav was a good friend. He let her talk about all her problems to him at the party, he was a good listener, and he was reaching out to her. In the very least, that means she hadn't annoyed him by confiding everything in him, which she was definitely glad about. When she got his owl, asking if she'd meet him at Hogsmeade for lunch, Anna was actually excited. It gave her something to look forward to that week. They'd agreed to meet close to the Shrieking Shack, so when she arrived at Hogsmeade to see him leaning up against the fence, Anna smiled. "Hey stranger," she greeted as she moved to stand beside him, looking at the old place. "Fancy running into you in a place like this." She was just teasing. Anna was actually in a very good mood that day and it was showing. @sav

Sav laughed when Anna appeared at his side and teased him about running into him at a place like this. He rolled his eyes and chuckled back at her. “yeah. Fancy meeting you in the place I said I’d meet you.” He smirked. He looked over at her. She looked great, she looked better and happier than she had the last time that they saw one another at the engagement party. He was glad to see that. He knew how hard she had life right now but he was still glad to see her smile. “I’m glad work doesn’t have you too busy to come to the village.” He admitted. He had kind of thought that she wouldn’t be able to make it.

It was nice to be able to make someone smile. All too often lately Anna felt guilty whenever she interacted with people. Most of them felt bad for her about Oscar's disappearance (if they knew about it), and others just seemed to be able to tell that something was wrong with her. She wished she was better at hiding her emotions and feelings, but apparently she just wasn't. "I thought you were going to run into someone else on the way or something," she teased, not knowing why, but feeling a desire to prolong the topic just a little more. She rolled her eyes, "Training keeps me plenty busy, but I can make plans and say I'm not available during those times, you know." Especially if she did it ahead of time, like she did for this. "So how's your last year going now?" Sure she saw him a month ago, but that was a month ago. She wanted to talk to him about now. @sav

“And forget about you? Never.” Sav smirked. He knew that she was kidding, but just like she was feeling about it, it was fun to play along, and Sav liked to make people laugh as often as he could. He was a jokester, sometimes a prankster, mostly just when he was with Hugo though. He liked to have a laugh and a good time. Life was too serious not to make fun of it sometimes.
She said that work kept her busy but still allowed for time off and he nodded. “are you enjoying it at least?” He asked. He knew that Anna wasn’t completely sold on her job, but she was sticking with it, and that showed a lot of dedication and maturity, he thought.

Anna smiled, chuckling when he answered right back. "I feel so special," she retorted, but she was also pleased at the same time. It was nice to feel wanted, even if just by a friend, and she definitely considered Sav a good friend. He'd been there to talk to her when she really needed someone. He was still there for her now, which Anna really appreciated. At his question, she nodded. "I am. I thought going back would make me want to quit, but it hasn't. I guess I have a new motivation for wanting to be a good Auror now?" When she said it out loud, she felt like an idiot. She wanted to be able to find people, to protect others from dark wizards like she hadn't been able to with Oscar. Anna wasn't quite sure if anyone else would really understand that. "You ready to get out of Hogwarts yet?" she teased lightly. @sav

Sav gave another little chuckle when Anna said that she felt so special when he teased that he could never forget about her. They both knew that it was meant as a joke, but he meant it seriously. He and Anna had always been friends, Sav was friends with most Weasleys. But since their talk last month, she had started to mean a great deal more to him. He eagerly waited for her owls and letters.
Sav nodded. It made sense that she wanted to work harder now. She probably wanted to avenge Oscar. Or at least be able to help if it ever came to that. And auror training was the best way to do that. She asked if he was ready to be out of Hogwarts and he nodded with a sigh. “so ready. Academia has never been my strong suit.” plus he’d be away from his mom. Most kids went to school to get away from their parents. Savs mom was always around. “so have you ever been over there? Wannah explore a bit?” he nodded towards the shack.

It was so easy to talk with Sav. He knew her, he knew about the struggles she was going through and how hard things were, but he still treated her like a normal person, not like she was going to break. He still was there for her, ready to distract her with a good time. She was starting to realize that she'd missed out on what could have been a best friend relationship. At least she could have it now with him. She chuckled when he admitted that academia wasn't his strong suit. "I'm not surprised. You always seemed to excel more when it came to quidditch and the practical approach to things," Anna answered. He was one of the best players on the team, after all. That's why they made him captain. The next thing she knew, Sav was gesturing to the Shrieking Shack, asking if she'd ever been in there. "I ... haven't," a sly smile grew on her face, "but I've heard stories from people who have. It's supposed to be quite an adventure, so I'm in." Besides that, it was obvious that Sav was interested, so she wasn't going to stop him. @sav
