 LATE MARCH 2025
IT WASN'T LONG BEFORE FLORA had the guts to finally send out an Owl to see Jamie again. Their conflicting schedules meant they weren’t able to see each other as often as they wanted to, and considering how they met, Flora was always anxiously excited to see Jamie. Jamie was an exact replica to the Lowell, in appearance, both being werewolves and all, but she was simply a few years younger than the Australian. Plus the Lowell had more stories to tell her friend regarding her job aside from her troubles and worries. Their plans had soon formed a sort of friendly...Date? A regular date? Who knew? But whatever it was, Flora knew they'd have a good time.
This time of year was when Spring seemed to roll around, but back home in Australia, March marked the time of Autumn, a time when the sun would finally disappear and rain would hit them...Incredibly hard. Autumn had always been Flora's favourite time of year, considering she burnt less under the rays of the sun and it was fairly easier to fall asleep to the sounds of the rain hitting against her window. Bundled in a small jacket and casual attire, Flora waited for Jamie outside the entrance of Leaky Cauldron that tied Diagon Alley and the muggle side of London together, arms folded as the brisk spring air hit her face.@jamie & changed to fit our new plot!

Jamie was running just on time, which meant she felt like she was running late. She had gotten caught up in taking notes on her and Sienna’s project – they had finished brewing a new batch of the modified Wolfsbane and Jamie had a good feeling about it. Then again, she had a good feeling about all of them, so maybe her gut wasn’t something she ought to be following when it came to potioneering. Either way, she’d left a copy of some notes for Sienna to look over whenever her coworker had the chance, and left so she could meet up with Flora. She had neglected to tell the other woman she was going to be coming from the magical side of Leaky Cauldron, which was going to make things a little awkward, but Jamie was beginning to embrace the awkward in her life. She had done it better when she was in school – finding random half siblings was awkward! – but as an adult she was more self-conscious than she had been.
Jamie ducked through the door of the Cauldron, and smiled when she saw Flora waiting outside. She grinned to herself as she snuck up behind the other woman, hoping to keep out of sight before reaching to put her hands over Flora’s eyes. “Guess who?” It wasn’t like Flora would guess anyone else – she was supposed to be meeting Jamie, after all – but it was still funny!

HAVING ENOUGH CONFIDENCE TO ASK out a certain…adorable blonde felt like a lot of work just for one week, for the werewolf anyway. It was ironic, given her job and the tedious jobs she was given, having to return back to the werewolf hotel for inspections, be ultimately sniffed out by the other werewolves and rush her day to end up seeing another werewolf family to sign under the official registry. Let’s just say, Flora had enough on her plate, and adding in time for others hadn’t particularly been a major thought…until now. Flora hadn’t expected someone to sneak up behind her, but the familiarity of the voice and even the palms that covered her eyes and…of course the scent…was enough to draw a smile across the Australian’s lips.
”Uhm…” She trailed off, biting her lip at who she could refer to. ”Tallish blonde? God I hope a famous actress.” Flora’s hands rose to touch Jamie’s, moving them up so the Lowell could turn, seeing the grin on the blonde’s lips. Flora feigned a frown, pretending to show her disappointment, but she couldn’t feign it for long, her excitement only took over. ”Hey.” She greeted, stepping to embrace her friend.

Flora didn’t seem bothered by Jamie’s joke, returning with a joke of her own. “Not a famous actress, sadly,” Jamie said with a dramatic sigh. “Or tallish. I guess you’ll have to settle for one for three.” She ignored the warmth spreading through her hands at Flora’s touch, choosing instead to focus on hugging her friend as tightly as she could manage, laughter still on her lips from earlier. “Hi. I’ve missed you.” It really had been too long since they’d gotten to spend any time together.
“Are you ready to have some fun?” Jamie asked enthusiastically, distracting herself from her own ennui. She could find joy in basically anything she did with one of her friends, but going bar-hopping wasn’t something she’d ever felt comfortable doing before. When she was just graduated from school she was too concerned with her public image, and then she hadn’t had anyone who wanted to try something like that. Now with Flora she had someone who was willing to let loose a little – and spend copious amounts of time with a potentially-drunk Jamie.

FLORA GIGGLED THEN, THE EMBRACE between the two of them held up for long. Just like the Lowell enjoyed. She loved hugging Jamie, she was always warm and her scent always sweet. At least to Flora anyway. ”I’ve missed you!” She responded, with a little more excitement. ”Have you been hiding from me?” She joked, narrowing her eyes in Jamie’s direction before laughing it all out again. Fun wasn’t exactly the word to use for what the two would be getting up to. More like, was Flora ready for a night she wouldn’t remember? Because she was.
Drinking hadn’t always been the Lowell’s strongest suit, sure she would have a beer or wine every so often, maybe go out with a few colleagues from the different divisions but she would usually stop after three or four drinks. So the plan to bar-hop with Jamie for the night was met well…Until the werewolf realised she would need to actually exceed her limits. Considering she had finally gotten through piles of paper work for different duties alongside her colleague: Goyle, a time of letting loose was necessary anyway.
”Ready? I was born for this.” She said, clenching her fist as she showed how determined she was. ”Just…Before we set off…Forgive me if you see anything you’re not used to.” From what she heard back in Australia with her colleagues there…Flora was a terrible drunk. ”—Aside from that…Shall we start in Leaky, or start else where?”

Flora asked if Jamie had been hiding from her, and the blonde shrugged her shoulders helplessly. She had been accused of hiding in the back room of Slug and Jigger’s, but that was also where she did her work, so she wasn’t sure it could be held against her. She was a good employee who wanted to do the best work she could, and she couldn’t help that.
The other woman went on to say that she was born for this, which made Jamie snort. She didn’t think that anyone was born for a life of drinking incessantly, not even the people who thought they were. Jamie’s eyes widened when Flora said Jamie would have to forgive her if she saw anything she wasn’t used to. “Are you really that bad of a drunk?” Jamie asked, small smile pulling at her mouth. She was actually kind of excited to see what Flora was like inebriated; she seemed like she would be fun. “Leaky’s right here, so might as well start here. Maybe we can go to the club after we’ve drank a little?” Club Indigo seemed kind of intimidating, and Jamie thought she’d need to be a little tipsy to be comfortable enough to go there.

THE SHRUG OF JAMIE’S SHOULDERS was enough to draw a smile and even a laugh out of Flora, especially since she knew the reasons. Work! They had both been busy with it and it had stopped them from having some sort of time together. ”I’m not…incredibly bad.” She knew her boundaries…Sometimes. ”But I’ve heard pretty bad stories when I get far down the line.” Since Jamie had a fair point, Flora turned to face Leaky, walking up to hold open the door for Jamie.
”Club Indigo?” She asked, assuming straight away. ”I’ve heard it’s…something. Have you been before?” In the four years Flora had lived in London, she had actually never set foot inside of the London club, more so the simple pubs and bars.

far down the line, though, which had an easy solution. “We’ll just have to make sure you only get a little past tipsy, then.” Of course, that was easier said sober, but Jamie was hopeful somehow they’d be able to keep from making complete embarrassments of herself. Luckily neither of them were the kind that would attract paparazzi.
“That’s the one.” Jamie nodded. She didn’t know of any other clubs, but… “I’m not exactly the club type,” the Hufflepuff said. It wasn’t all that surprising to people who knew her, but she still blushed a little admitting it. “Too loud to have a good conversation.” And that many people drew the claustrophobia out of her. “Leaky first, though,” Jamie said, pulling Flora towards the entrance to the pub. Firewhiskey seemed like a good way to start out the night.

FLORA GRINNED, KNOWING THAT GETTING ‘a little past tipsy’ wouldn’t be the case at all. If mistakes were made, she would be passing the line of black-out drunk for sure, just to forget any mistakes made during the night. ”Only if you keep me safe while I’m wilding out like a mad woman.” She added. Things were easier said while sober, but Flora hadn’t had a drink in a small while. She preferred smoking after all.
Nodding in understanding alongside Jamie, Flora cracked a smile. ”Neither am I. I do love a good bar though.” Drinks and smokes tended to pair well, especially after rough days or nights. Jamie was right though, clubs were too loud for no reason. ”I feel they play the music so loud that when you’re actually…Interested in someone, you’ll head out with them. You know?” She suggested in observation. Nodding again, Flora let out a quiet laugh as Jamie pulled her along to Leaky.
The Lowell reached forward, pulling open the door and stepping to the side, allowing Jamie to enter in first before following shortly behind. ”Firewhiskey on your mind?” She asked. The werewolf was somewhat craving the burning drink.
