Andy wasn't surprised his face flushed when she mentioned the greenhouses being a great place to hook up. But at his other words, but that she would have liked Brazil, she smiled a little. "Well, I'm sorry you didn't get to utilize them, due to having a girlfriend. Missed opportunity," she added. As for Nevilles greenhouses being at the school, Phil laughed and said that he imagined someone would have found the killer plants or that they'd hear about them overtaking the school. Andy nodded, "yeaaahhh... let's hope it doesn't come to that. I could use some killer plants though," she stopped suddenly, clearing her throat. "Anyway."She was happy when Phil said that Neville would want to see her and everyone else. She felt a little tickle in her throat, and she cleared it, looking down a little. "I really miss him," she said softly, chewing on her bottom lip afterwards to try and keep her emotions in check. "I think that's why I avoided coming, really.. that and..." she paused. "Anyway, I just don't want to be there and him be entirely impossible to speak to," she added. "Is that selfish?"As for his talking about plants making him sound cool or not, he said he knew what he was and that not many people could put up with him. He said he wouldn't blame her from trying to hide a yawn and she continued to shake her head. "Well, then consider me a plant nerd," she said firmly. He said he didn't imagine seeing red to be good at anytime, and then stumbled a little at the mention of bleeding. She realized that might have been hard for him to hear, and pursed his lips to the side. "A vial is nice. Maybe that way it could stay in the soil. And experimenting is good. It leads to better things," she suggested. He asked how hit-witch training was going, and if she'd busted any bad guys, and she laughed about his comment at the bar. "Yeah, honestly I hate when people drink too much. Victoire Weasley got married because of that," she said, pausing to look at him with a look of... well, judgement, pretty much. "She's insane," she added, then continued walking. "And it's going well. I have busted bad guys, actually. An auror friend of mine and I actually did a case with my violin floating next to us serenading us," she laughed loudly at that, which was a normal Andy thing to do, but it was funny! "She's awesome."At the mention of Vik, there was a soft 'that...' which came out of Phil that made Andy feel her chest tighten. Phil continued, and Andy turned around to look at him, stopping her walk again. Her face was a little concerned, but at his joke about 'growing' a wife she felt her lips curl into a smile again. "That would be creepy," she suggested. "And yeah, thank you. It's been fun. He comes from a muggle family, so it's been nice to see the muggle world a little more with his help," she explained. She paused, face shifting into one of seriousness, "and I don't think you'll need to grow a wife," she said firmly. Phil was... Phil. He would find someone amazing. Which was... a hard thought. Someone else being with him. But really, Andy wasn't amazing and Phil deserved that anyway, right? @phil

April 20,2025
Phil’s face remained red as Andy smiled and apologized that he didn’t get a chance to go out into the ‘hook up’ spots as she called them because he had a girlfriend. “Please, I was too busy in the greenhouses. M-maybe if you had decided to just came to Brazil too somehow.” He joked, as he was the only one invited for the foreign program. It probably wasn’t a joke he should have made since they weren’t together but they were close enough he presumed still. Andy claimed that she hoped it didn’t turn out that Neville’s plants would become a problem years down the line. Still she joke, or at least he assumed she joked, about needing some killer plants. She tried to change the subject after that, possibly knowing how he might have felt. “I happen to know a store that doesn’t know a thing about their seeds if you’re actually looking.” It was reassuring to hear that Andy had been missing his, their father, he didn’t doubt it but he was also sure his father would like to hear that sometime too. The second part of what she said did cause a moment of concern. That she had been avoiding the manor because she had been missing Neville and trailed off. Phil could only assume she was talking about the chances of running into him. “Yeah, I check in on him everyday but I’m typically locked in the greenhouses for the rest of the day. I wouldn’t even notice if someone came to see him.” Phil explained, part true and part to explain in his own way that he would be out of the way for any visit Andy wanted with Neville. “Not at all,” he replied as Andy asked if it was selfish to hope he would be awake when she visited. “I hope he’s awake too as most of the family if not all should be there, I’m sure he’d hate to know he missed out on it.”
Andy explained that he could consider her a plant nerd and Phil nodded and laughed. He was glad to have something in common with someone he cared about so much, even if they weren’t together anymore. She also agreed with his suggestion, even helping with an idea and just saying that experimenting was good. “It’s all I really do, toy with new or old plants to see what happens or how they can be used differently. Nothing ground breaking yet but it’s still fun for me.”
He couldn’t help but laugh as Andy complained about the drunk customers even explaining that Victoire had gotten married recently because she had gotten drunk. “Wait, really?” He got out through the laughs. “I’m sure the rest of the Weasley family loved to hear about that.” His laughs finally subsiding, he didn’t want to sound mean to someone he knew even if he and Vic never talked much besides the few family get togethers they shared. Since the last war the Potters, Weasleys and Longbottoms got together every so often. Not so much now with everything going on, though. “It does seem a little crazy, hopefully it all works out for her.” Andy went on to talk more in detail about her work as a hit-witch. It sounded rather interesting, “I can only imagine that was an interesting site, two kick ass witches and a flying violin.” Phil explained trying to be supportive even if he did sound awkward using the words kick ass. even he could feel how awkward that felt for him.
Phil got through talking about Andy getting back out there better than he expected. He didn’t like the idea but he also was the one to call things off when everything was just too much for him in his life. Now that he felt more stable it wasn’t like he had a right to feel hurt about it. He just needed to be happy for a friend. “That’s good, getting out and seeing more of the world. Muggles can always be interesting, even just figuring out how they get by without magic is a sight.” He kept up his smile and happy tone, genuinely happy she was enjoying her time. Even if he wasn’t with him, he didn’t deserve Andy anyway. With all that she had been through she still got up and was out there doing things and seeing the world. Phil crumbled instead, life got hard and he just hid away in a greenhouse for so long. She deserved someone who would show her more of the world like that. “We’ll see but don’t be too surprised when you get an invite to the Phil Longbottom and Petunia Peatmoss wedding.” He joked, yet he didn’t see himself meeting anyone anytime soon. Hell, he hadn’t left the manor in sometime and the first person he ran into was his ex. If that wasn’t a sign he didn’t know what was.

Phil said that he was too busy in the greenhouses. Which, for a second, made her think that he meant busy with HER in the greenhouses. But then he continued the joke, suggesting that maybe the 'hook up' spot would have been utilized by him if he had come to Brazil. She turned red too, now, and forgot for a moment how to use her mouth and vocal chords? "Huh, yeah," she finally got out, with a little chuckle and clearing of her throat. It was hard for her to think about the time that he was in Brazil. That was when she felt she was at her darkest. Her brother was worse than ever, her temper was out of control. Her ability to handle even the most basic of emotions was all sorts of wrecked. Now, she was... well, probably just as bad but at least she learned how to keep it together in public. She still felt her blood turn black when those dark thoughts crept in. At his suggestion about buying seeds from his bad supplier if she really wanted something dangerous, she chuckled a little, but her thoughts were still a little too dark to commit to the emotion behind the laugh. "Yeah, hopefully they don't just give me a tulip," she suggested, joking. As the conversation shifted to Neville, though, she was able to realign her emotions with the moment at hand. He spoke about checking on his dad, but locking himself in the Greenhouses... basically she could go without seeing Phil, if she wanted to. At least he didn't think she was selfish for wanting Neville awake when she was there. "Yeah, he hates missing out," she added solemnly. It was probably killing Neville to not be teaching this year. At least Phil was laughing, though. That sound was enough to keep bringing her back from the brink of the sadness that surrounded their family right now. He said that all he really did was play with plants, even if it didn't discover anything groundbreaking. "It's important to do what you enjoy," she said. Even if what she was enjoying at the moment was selling out Victoire. He laughed, saying her family would love to hear about that. "Oh, I'm sure it was in the Prophet somewhere," she suggested. "Yeah... I mean, either they broke it off quick enough or she's happy with the guy, not sure. He works at the Ministry and went with -" she stopped. Neville had gotten sick before this whole Order split situation... did Phil even know about anything of that? She cleared her throat, looking away for a moment, pretending to be really interested in the nearest flower. "What kind is that?" by way of distraction she asked, but she actually didn't know. As for him calling her 'kick ass', she laughed out loud with one, "Hah! You shouldn't say kick ass. You can't pull it off," she laughed a little louder, shaking her head. "But thank you. It probably was a sight to see, too bad I can't see myself," she shrugged. "I hope you never have to," she added, not realizing how incredibly serious that sounded all of the sudden. Talking about Vik was clearly the most awkward route they could have taken, so she made sure to focus on the plants around them more as they went. Richard was happy just watching them talk and sniffing whatever interesting thing they passed from his current perch. Phil complimented her seeing the world and watching how muggles get by without magic. "Yeah, it's been... educational,"[/b she suggested. As for Phil growing a wife, he said she shouldn't be surprised to receive an invitation to his plant wedding. She laughed, only a little. "I'm serious, you won't be marrying a plant," she shook her head, chuckling still. "If you did, I'd probably check you into mungos psych ward. Don't worry, I'd visit. Richard would want to see you, after all."

Phil laughed for a moment as Andy spoke of the shop, saying she hoped they didn’t just give her a tulip. “I guess you would just have to get creative to make it sound scary.” Phil remarked with an added laugh, “this is my special tulip with razor sharp leaves.” It wasn’t a pleasant idea to make such a pretty flower sound scary but it was all just for laughs anyway. “That or just ask for something harmless and you might have a better chance of getting a dangerous type of seed.” Phil would have told Andy to be careful but he was sure they were just kidding. Andy knew enough about plants just from listening to him to be able to pick out something if she really wanted it. “Yeah, tell me about it.” Phil replied with a sigh as they talked of Neville, “I can’t wait for the day when he’s better but I know he’s going to insist on knowing every little thing he missed. It’s going to be hours and hours of going over everything."
Andy stated it was important to do what one enjoyed and Phil just nodded for a moment. “Exactly, it’d be nice if I had some proof I wasn’t just wasting my time but it’s still fun nevertheless.” He explained with a smile, he’d figure out that flower out one day and a use for it. “Well, hopefully they are both happy. How ever it ended up.” Phil stated after Andy cut herself off. He wasn’t sure why but he wasn’t exactly going to press the issue. Phil was just happy to be talking to Andy once more that he didn’t want to ruin it with whatever Andy might have been avoiding telling him. Andy quickly looked over toward a rose and asked him what kind it was, either it was a way to change the subject or she genuinely wanted to know. Either way Phil was more than happy to answer, “Rosa eden, I believe.”
The laugh from Andy didn’t help the awkwardness he was feeling in his choice of words but he didn’t regret it one bit. Anything that made Andy laugh was worth it, even him looking like an idiot. Phil eventually joined in as Andy spoke. “Hey, it was worth a shot.” Phil got out through the laughter. She thanked him before saying that she was probably quite a sight but she couldn’t see her self before saying she hoped he never had to either. “I don’t plan on doing anything worthy of having a hit-witch coming to find me so I think I’m safe. Besides you’ve always been a sight to see that just extended to hit-witch work too.” Phil realized he kept saying more and more stupid things. He went red again for a moment, really needing to think of the things he said before just blurting them out.
“I don’t doubt it, I’ve thought of seeing how they live a number of times, I just can’t imagine going without at least one thing magical in a day. Still, they do it somehow.” He replied as they were interesting to him at times. They were still human after all but so different to the magical world. “Thanks, just make sure they take care of my plant wife too, I’m sure she’d be worried sick that I was locked in some room and St.Mungos and no one was around to water her.” The joke continued more than he thought it would but Phil was alright with that. “Just try not to laugh at me too much in my padded room.”

Phil said that she'd have to get creative to make the tulip sound scary and she laughed, kind of surprised that he was suggesting it. "Well, if you wanted a little fun maybe you could help me hybrid it into something more dangerous," she suggested. She was only half joking. She was sure Phil would never help her out with something violent, which was a shame because he probably would be pretty good at it. "Okay, so I'll ASK for a tulip and they'll give me something deadly. Got it. Secret plant language," she chuckled. As for Neville, Phil said that he'd have to spend hours going over everything that he missed while he was sick and Andy smirked a little, nodding, brow furrowing too. "Yeah... Well, I'll come help you with that. You can tell him about the plants and family and I'll tell him about... other stuff," like the Order and all of that. It would definitely be a lot to catch up on. Phil spoke about plants and how he wanted to see his work wasn't a waste of time, and she shook her head. "It's not," she answered, softer than she meant to. She didn't ever want him to feel like he was wasting his time. For a second, she had the impulse to place a hand on his shoulder or something and give him a big speech about how nothing he ever did was a waste of time to her. But, naturally, she did not. She shrugged as he said he hoped Vic was happy and her husband. She liked Vic, but didn't really care that much about her life outside of Heliopath... as rude as that was to think. As for the rose, he said what it was and she scoffed, turning toward him to raise an eyebrow. "Don't say 'I believe' in that voice like you don't know what it is," she chuckled. "Have some pride," she added and actually nudged him with her elbow. Sure, it sounds cliche, but the point where her elbow touched his side felt like her blood suddenly turned warm from there and spread throughout her arm for a split second. He said it was worth a shot to try calling her a bad ass, and she shook her head. They were doing a lot of laughing together on this little maze walk, which was an incredible feeling, really. He said that he didn't plan on doing anything that meant she'd have to come find him for work, but added that she was always a sight to see whether it was hit-witch work or otherwise. Her face turned red too, and she even noticed the reddening in his. She cleared her throat, a little awkwardly. "Th-thanks," she sputtered out. Since when could she not take a compliment with grace? As they spoke about muggles, Phil was curious about how they lived without magic. She laughed, "it is hard... you should try it for a day. See what happens," she suggested. "I'll help you sometime," she added, then shook her head and started walking again. The jokes about his plant wife were funny enough, and made her smile. "I'll bring her to Mungo's too and put her next to you," she suggested. "The healers can manage taking care of her. And I'd never laugh at you," she explained, "you didn't laugh at me while I was there. Though, admittedly, my situation was a tad more serious," she laughed. @phil

Andy suggested that he could help her create some kind of hybrid tulip that might be dangerous in some way. Phil probably could but he didn’t like the idea. Some plants were just naturally dangerous but to take something that was just a simple flower and turn it into something else. That just didn’t sit right with him. “I don’t know, I don’t see how a tulip is going to be that dangerous.” Phil thought not wanting to outright say no if he could to Andy. “If anything I’d suggest doing the opposite. Take devils snare for example. Have it grow faster but more controlled so it doesn’t go everywhere and then make it so it doesn’t hurt people but just actually snares them. Keep them from moving.” It was an idea and Phil was more comfortable with taming a dangerous plant into something more usable than making a tulip a weapon. He laughed a bit as Andy called asking for a tulip the secret plant language. “Who knows, maybe it was and I just didn’t know any better.”
“That sounds like a plan, if we take turns it’ll cut down on how swore our voices will be.” He joked, even if it was his father they were slightly joking about. It was all in the thought that he would be healthy that day. That and Andy just made stuff like this easier to talk about. Probably because she knew his father or that she had been adopted after all and Neville was technically her father too. As Phil spoke about him seemingly just wasting his time with his plant experiments with nothing new to really show for it. Andy said he wasn’t and he nodded. “I know, just wish I had more to show for it than just a greenhouse full of random plants.” Phil laughed, “one day maybe.”
As Phil identified the flower Andy turned toward him and teased him slightly for saying that he believed what it was. Like he didn’t actually know for sure. Saying for him to have some pride before nudging him with her elbow. It was only just her elbow but it was a nice bit of physical contract. Something he smiled more about than the teasing. After so long of even not seeing her, it was just nice to feel her touch, even if Andy was just using it to mess with him a little. “I didn’t want to show off too much, since you only seem to remember four types of them after all.” Phil joked, returning the elbow nudge this time.
There was a moment of silence as both of them realized what Phil had said so causally. He hadn’t meant to say something like that even if it was the truth. Phil had always thought Andy was beautiful in most anything she did. Still now wasn’t the time for that kind of statement. Especially when this was the first time they had seen each other in awhile. She cleared her throat and thanked him slightly as he could tell her face had gone red. His felt like it was just as red honestly, if not more. “No-no problem.” He got out even more awkwardly, he just wanted to crawl in a hole at the moment and hide from how stupid he was.
Finally getting passed their awkward moment they went back to talking of muggles as Andy suggested he give the muggle world a try, just to see what happens. “I just might, always wanted to see how they handled their plants without magic.” Phil replied as Andy said she’d help him sometime. “That’ll be fun, you can help me not look like an obvious wizard.” He joked but he never spent much time around muggles and that was always a fear that he would just look weird in comparison. “Thanks, I’m glad to know me and my plant wife can count on you in our time of need.” He joked as Andy got a little serious taking about her previous visits to St.Mungo which he had been there for and she was right he never laughed at her during that, he never could. “This is true, fine you have some permission to laugh at me but only a little.” Phil added with another laugh as they continued their way through the maze.

He said he didn't see how a tulip could be dangerous, and she felt a tiny bit guilty. She knew Phil was a pacifist in most regards, which was one of the reasons that they hadn't worked out. He said that he'd suggest doing the opposite, and a part of her just started to sink. He wanted to take something deadly and make it less so. That was exactly what he wanted to do with her, wasn't it? Whether he said it out loud or not, she knew he felt that way. She almost argued. Almost spoke up and said that he couldn't change her. But she didn't. They weren't in any sort of position for her to start fighting with him right now. Or ever again. Even if arguing did give her kind of a weird rush. He chuckled at her joke about the secret plant language of the black market and she was able to replace her smile too, but she still had that sinking feeling running from her shoulders down to her toes. As they spoke about telling Neville about things going on, they said they'd take turns so their voices wouldn't get sore. "A team again. He'll be thrilled," she joked, her tone a little dry to go with the humor. Neville and Hannah really did have a difficult time when Phil and Andy started dating, she knew that. She always felt guilty for the trouble she caused them. As Phil spoke about his plants being a waste of time, he said he knew it wasn't but he wished he had more to show for it. "What do you want to accomplish with it? Discovering new species that are beautiful, useful, both?" she asked, then suddenly felt a sharp pang of guilt for pressing him. "I mean, you can keep that to yourself. Just think about it, right?" she added slowly. His smile when she nudged him with her elbow gave her the slight feeling that maybe he was thinking something similar to what she was thinking. That this was nice. That being close was nice. He said he didn't want to show off, since she only remembered four types of flowers. Then he nudged her back, and she shook her head, "be proud of who you are. If we were talking about boxing moves I'd show off plenty," she countered. She probably wouldn't... she wasn't all that confident showing off violent skills in front of Phil. Though, for a brief moment her mind pictured them laughing together while she showed him a choke hold or something. In the moment after he complimented her and she thanked him, she felt like her skin was turning red as blood. He sputtered out a 'no problem' in the most awkward, sweetest way possible which just made her feel even more flustered. Richard eyed them both from Phil's shoulder, then shook his little green head. The poor guy probably had a lot to say about these two. He said he wanted to see how Muggles handled their plants without magic, suggesting she could make him not look like an obvious wizard. "Yeah, exactly," she agreed. He said that he was glad to know he and his 'plant wife' could count on her and she grinned, shaking her head a little. He did say she had permission to laugh at him a little, though. "I'll take that. Oh, I think we're almost to the center of the maze," she realized. There was a faint pink glow up ahead. She squinted her eyes to try and get a better look, but then sped up her pace, "come on," she encouraged him. She turned a corner, then another one, and suddenly they were there, in the middle of the maze. There was a canopy of vine overhead, making it darker here than anywhere else, and the glow was coming from a lush bush of pink roses that seemed to glow in the dark. Her jaw dropped. @phil

Phil attempted to laugh as Andy joked about how his father would be thrilled they were a team once more. He knew what she was getting at, it had been awkward for his parents to learn they had started dating especially after Andy had just been adopted into the Longbottom family. No matter how Phil attempted to explain that his feeling for Andy started well before all the adoption plans. “Yeah, that or he might just faint after waking up.” It was an odd thing to joke about but there relationship then and now was odd enough already. Andy asked about the plant he was working on, wondering what he hoped to accomplish with it. Yet quickly explained he could keep it to himself if he wanted. “Why wouldn’t I tell you? Even if I did have a plan for it in mind. It’s not like I have some worries about you stealing my work, like anyone would want it.” Phil joked, he was just toying with plants. If anything someone might be interested in how he got a jungle plant to grow in Europe. Yet, Phil would share any knowledge of plants he had with just about anyone who would listen. “I already said you're welcome in the greenhouse anytime you like.”
“Which is just another reason I won’t be getting into a boxing ring anytime soon with you.” Phil teased for a moment as Andy explained she would show off her boxing skill if given the chance just like he should show off who he was. “I’d miss you by a mile because I be to scared of hitting you and you’d have me knocked out in seconds because of how good you are.” Which sounded just like how that would play out for Phil and he was almost fine with that. He didn’t like the being knocked out part but he couldn’t imagine ever hitting Andy.
While they joked about him getting locked in St.Mungos for growing a wife and Andy looking after them she pointed out they seemed to be near the center. He had been curious just what the center might look like. All he could make out was a pink glow which was promising. Andy sped up her walk and Phil just watched her move further. At least till she encouraged him to come along. With that he walked faster too. Turning the corner into the center of the maze it got darker. Vines blocked the sky as best they could while luminescent pink flower lit up the space. It was indeed a sight as he looked around also noticing Andy’s reaction on her face and just how the glow from the flowers made her look even more beautiful. “I-it’s definitely a sight.” Phil got out barely as he looked away from her, he didn’t need to be staring. It would only make this even more awkward if she caught him.
Looking back to the flowers Phil was now attempting to figure out just what type they were and if it was magic or the flowers themselves that were emitting the light. “I knew this maze would be great.” He avoided the pun of saying it would be amazing, he had made a fool out himself enough already. He started wondering if they would mind if he took one of the roses home with him, more focused on that than anything else. “As long as I made it to the center I knew I’d end up surrounded by many of the things I love, plants, the roses and...” he stopped his absent speaking just in time, it wasn’t as fast as it had liked but good enough as he went red. Something hard to tell with how close he was to one of the roses, quickly he looked back to Andy and couldn’t think of anything for a moment or two. “I...I...I just realized what time it is.” Walking back closer to Andy he gentle put Richard back on her shoulder. “I’ll, umm, see you for dinner in a few days. I'll have to take the short cut.” With that he apperated our of the maze, and out into the front yard of the Longbottom manor, missing his room completely as he hadn’t been able to focus. Just sitting in the grass and calling himself an idiot in his mind for the next few minutes.

Phil said Neville might just faint after waking up, and for a second Andy wasn't sure what he meant by that. Maybe just joking that the sight of the two of them together once more would cause that reaction? Weird. "Uh, yeah. Something like that," she said. As far as the plant, Phil said he didn't have any worries about stealing her work because no one would want it. She just shook her head, smiling a little at his self deprecating humor. He said she was welcome in the greenhouse anytime she wanted and she felt a small lurch in her throat. Greenhouses, Phil, that used to be her happy place. Her safe place. "Thank you, thanks," she managed to get out. Of course she could absolutely destroy him in a fight, he was right to not want to chance it. He said he'd miss her because of being too scared to hit her and her brows furrowed. "Oh, don't be like that. It'd be a fair fight, I'd give you a chance," she countered. "But if hitting me is too hard for you then I understand," she chuckled a little. She'd never make him really fight her. It really was an incredible end to the maze, and Richard looked just as thrilled to see it as his owners did. Andy looked around in awe, faintly hearing Phil speak of it being a sight. She nodded s he continued about how the maze would be great. Her eyes started to shift toward him, finding his face as he listed the things he loved. She felt that pull in her stomach again, the one that made her sick but exhilarated at the same time. His face turned red, and she immediately looked away. She felt like she had interrupted a private moment by looking at him. Then he turned toward her and she looked back at him. She opened her mouth, swallowed, then closed it again. He moved toward her and she nodded at his words, accepting Richard as she cleared her throat. "Yeah, yeah of course. I'll see you," and he vanished. She felt like a vine had wrapped around her hear and was trying to yank it out. She cleared her throat again. "Okay then, Richard. Let's get out of here..."@phil (End <3)
