April 23rd Andy had seen Vik at the flower festival on the nineteenth, then Phil the next day, and now it was three days later and she had decided to come home and see if Vik was around. They hadn't really talked when they saw each other last week... the apartment was still a mess from when they came home that night. Flowers everywhere, dead now, messy cushions. They had gotten wrapped up in each other all over again without really discussing it as mature adults. She didn't know what she was going to do about that. On the one hand, she thought they should take things slow now. On the other, the lived together so... and Vik was Vik. He was hilarious, adorable, loving and had to resist. She didn't expect him back so soon, though, since it was the middle of the night and he usually worked into the early morning with Rai. But when she heard the door open she spun around, "Vik, hey-" she paused, walking toward him, "what's wrong?"@vik

Things were suddenly right again with Andy. Sure, they hadn't really talked about anything, ad he kinda felt like he should, but why? When things were just so smooth between them, why would they need to mess it all up with talking. He just wanted to be with her, all the time ... except for with whatever happened a few weeks ago. That was weird, but he kind of felt like he was past it now, and Vik was glad for that.
He was out late, like normal, but today something was wrong. He finished a business transaction with someone a short while ago. He was helping them find things they needed on the black market. As thanks for his services, they gave him a drink. Vik didn't think anything of it ... until now. He was only feet away from them and something was terribly wrong. This was not the place to deal with it though. Vik apparated automatically, surprised when he found himself in front of his house. He staggered in, stunned when he saw Andy there. Was he hallucinating now? He clutched his stomach. "Something's, I don't know." He collapsed to his knees. "Andy," he groaned. Vik didn't know what to do, he could barely think anymore.

He really didn't look good, and she started to walk toward him before he even spoke. "Something's, I don't know." As Vik started to collapse Andy was at his side, catching him and kneeling down beside him as he said her name. "Vik? Vik, Vik, talk to me," he shifted so she could hold him up with one arm and use the other one to gently tap at his cheek. "Vik where were you? Tell me anything you remember," she begged, her voice panicked but somehow she was entirely in control. If someone had hurt him on purpose they would pay for that very, very dearly. For a moment she thought that maybe Elaine had something to do with it but Vik wasn't a part of Heliopath, Ouroboros or anything. But... he was half-blooded and adopted by a prominent pureblood family. Was Elaine angry with them for taking him in?

Everything was starting to feel dizzy to Vik now. His head was ringing, his stomach aching with sharp pains. He heard Any talking to him, but her voice seemed fuzzy. He looked at her, but her face was starting to blur around the edges. He blinked repeatedly, trying to clear his vision. What was she saying? He heard her ask where he was, whatever he remembered. "Knockturn Alley," he choked out, his head pounding and the pain in his stomach was getting worse. "Maybe ... poison?" He couldn't hold himself up at all anymore. He collapsed entirely in her arms, breathing heavily.

Knockturn Alley. Poison? He collapsed in her arms. "Vik! No, you have to stay awake," she didn't how how poisons worked but she figured that passing out was not a good sign. Was it like a concussion? He should stay awake so that the poison didn't spread faster, right? Or was sleeping better because poison spread more if your heart was beating quickly? She had no idea what to do.

Ugh, he just felt worse and worse. Vik started to sweat, his body shaking as he did so. He wasn't going to stay awake much longer. He knew that. The thought made him feel even sicker. Then a thought occurred to him. "Andy," he started, his voice desperate. "Can't go ... to Mungos." he choked the words out, hoping he said them clearly enough for her to understand. Everything was going fuzzy now. Not just the outlines of things. A moment later, he was unconscious.

"What? Vik? Vik, why?" but he passed out in her arms. She gasped slightly as he did, leaning back so that she could support his weight. She bit her lip, her eyes moist. Okay, okay. Vik was passed out now, he couldn't go to Mungos because he was doing a shady deal, he was in her arms, and she had no idea what to do next.
She finally shifted to put him on the ground, then whipped out her wand in order to levitate him to the couch. Once he was there, she immediately put a cold wash cloth on his head and did the only thing she could think of.
She left.
Not to ditch him, of course, but there was only one person she could of who could maybe help her and wouldn't ask too many questions... Andy barely knew her, but Callisto and her shared a nephew, so that had to stand for something, right?
---
She returned with Callisto, who did a short check up of Viks unconscious body and then returned with a potion, one that she was supposed to give Vik every three hours for two days and then Callisto would come check on him again.
Once she was gone, Andy collapsed onto the floor herself due to exhaustion, leaning against the edge of the couch. It had been what... ten hours? He was breathing but still asleep.

Vik groaned. He hurt so bad, and he didn't remember why. He didn't remember where he was or what as going on with him. All he knew was that he felt like he had dragon pox and chicken pox and the flu and ... well, basically a combination of all sicknesses known to man. He felt like crap. He couldn't open his eyes, but he wondered if Andy was still here. She was the person that found him, right? "Andy?" he mumbled, not entirely sure if he was awake or asleep, though if he was hurting this bad while he was sleeping then what was the point in waking up? He moved a hand, trying to find her with it, still not opening his eyes.

She heard the small muttering of her name and whipped around, sitting up on her knees. She saw his and move, barely, and she quickly took it. She leaned toward his face, using her other hand to brush the hair off his forehead, gently stroking his hairline. "Vik, I'm here. It's okay. I'm helping you," she told him, a slight quiver in her lip, "you're not at Mungo's. A healer I know helped me. Can you... Can you open your eyes?" she squeezed his hand, biting down on her lip and chewing on it.

Vik gave a breath of relief when he felt her take his hand. He knew how it felt to have Andy's hand in his. He could sense her nearby. She touched his face, speaking gently and Vik smiled. "Thank you," he mumbled, truly grateful that she was at the house when he needed her. If he got there and it had been empty ... he would have been in a lot of trouble. She spoke, promising that he wasn't at the hospital, saying she had a healer friend come to help. Then she asked him to open his eyes. He nodded to show he heard her, then blinked his eyes open a few times. "'s bright in here," his voice was soft, but he was still happier when he saw her pretty face.

His eyes fluttered open and he said it was bright. She frowned, "okay, one second," she removed her hand from his face in order to grab her wand out of her pocket. She flicked it and half lights in the room turned off so that it would be a lot more dim than it was a moment before. She replaced her wand and turned back to look at him, "is that better?" She didn't mind being in the dark, she was used to darkness. Come to think of it, so was Vik, in his line of work. Her frown stayed on her face, turning into a little bit more of a pout. "Why did you have to go getting yourself poisoned for there, podmore? I need you around here," she told him, her tone slightly chastising even if it was flavored with affection. She replaced her hand that was stroking at his hairline to go back to doing that. "Rai came by. She said she'd be back tomorrow. I think she might murder someone," she chuckled. Though, that was her game not Rais. She figured she'd let the girl do her investigating... and then take the war for herself.

Vik didn't mean to make her turn off the lights, but he also couldn't deny the fact that it was much easier to keep his eyes open when it wasn't so bight. A half smile crossed his lips as she turned back to him. "Much better. Thanks Andy." He still felt like something had chewed him up and spit him out, but at least the bright light was gone. He considered that a win. "Sorry. Didn't mean to," he mumbled, his eyes closing again when she went back to touching his hairline. That was so relaxing. Made him want to go to sleep, but he didn't want to wake up and have her already gone, so staying awake also sounded like the best option. "Good thing you were here." Vik's words were slurred, but he barely noticed. He nodded when she mentioned Rai coming by, then glanced up at her and rolled his eyes. "Rai's all talk. Besides, she doesn't know where to look." Wait, did she? Vik couldn't remember what he told Andy when he got to the house. Maybe she would know where to go.

He said the dark was better, thanking her. Hearing him say her name just made her heart ache at the fact that he was in any pain at all. It was near impossible to take in the fact that he was hurt at all. He said that he didn't mean to get poisoned and she chuckled slightly, still rubbing her hand across his hairline. He said it was a good thing she was there and she shook her head, he seemed barely conscious. But at the mention of Rai he looked at her, rolling his eyes. "She'll figure something out at least, I'll take care of the rest," she suggested. She sighed, "honestly, I told her to let me deal with it, but... well, she's worried about you. We are," she explained. "You didn't really give us any information to go off of, Vik... got any clues for me now?" she almost added 'and I promise no one would get hurt' but she was done making that promise.

Vik wasn't entirely sure if he was fully there with Andy. Yes, she was with him and he could hear what she was saying, mostly. In all honesty, he was still a bit out of it and sometimes her words blurred in his ears. Was something wrong with his hearing now. He did hear when she said that Rai would find out something and shed take care of the rest of it. "You don't need to, 's fine Andy," he argued. He didn't want her getting into any trouble on his account. Her or Rai, but Rai wasn't here for him to tell that to. "I'm awake, I'll be fine," he argued. He wasn't used to people worrying about him. At least, people his age. His adoptive parents worried for him, but they were supposed to, weren't they? It was expected. He shrugged, then groaned, "It was a deal. Helped a customer and they gave me a drink for thanks. Happens all the time. Don't normally get poisoned though ..." He closed his eyes for a second. "How long was I out?"

He said it was fine, which proved in a way how little he knew her. Well, if he really thought that saying that would change anything. he said he was awake, and that would be fine too and she shook her head. "No, that's not good enough for me," she said sternly. She leaned forward, pressing her forehead against his. "If you were really feeling better then you'd show me," she whispered. She was kind of taunting him, because a part of her thought that if he tried to act on any physical emotion then it would be even more clear how sick he was.
She perked up when he started to give the clue that she was wanting. A deal.... he was poisoned. That's... she cleared her throat, "almost two days," she answered, her throat catching. "I'll find a cure first, then I'll deal with them." Her voice was so harsh, her tone so deep that it was almost an unfamiliar sound.
