Oscar had a point, one Lucy has thought about and was worried would come up. She knew Anna wouldn’t see it that way, she’d always see Oscar and think of the man she married. But there was a chance that Oscar would never see Anna in that way ever again, even if he decides to go along with what everyone was telling him and try to lead his own life. All the circumstances that lead to them falling in love never existed to him. She was a stranger and there was no telling if they’d fall in love again. “don’t take this the wrong way or whatever. But if you’re not that guy anymore, don’t stick around. Don’t put her through that. I just got her back.” Lucy has better things to do with her time than babysit Anna again. “Take the time you need to figure it out, but once you do, don’t pretend to spare her.”

A large part of Oscar wanted to slam his head into the bar with his frustration. Lucy told him if he wasn’t the guy Anna fell in love with, he ought to leave, but there was one glaring problem – he didn’t know if he was. He didn’t know what parts of him Anna had fallen in love with, and what parts of her he had fallen in love with. He understood Lucy being protective of her sister, and not wanting to put her through an ordeal like this was normal, but it was still hopelessly confusing. “I will,” Oscar said miserably. He wished there was someone in his corner – anyone who could tell him about anything, and care for him just as much as they cared for Anna. Right now that was a futile hope, but he could still wish for it. “I just want this to turn out right.” What ‘right’ was, he didn’t know.

Oscar agreed that he would leave if things didn’t work out but then he said that he just wanted everything to be right. While it seemed so much easier for him to just leave now, she wanted Anna to be happy. “listen I might regret this, oh god I already do, but I’ll help you with Anna, if you need it. I know her. I know what she loves about you. Maybe I can offer some clarity.” why the hell would she offer that? Damn Anna! Lucy likes to boast about not having a weakness but then there was Anna. Sharing a womb had really bonded them. She stood up, Anna was probably wondering where she had snuck off to. “I need to get back. I think it’s best you don’t mention that you might leave to Anna.” hopefully he had already put that together on his own. She slapped down a galleon to more than pay for her drink, and then patted his back absently before she made her exit.
