31ST MARCH 2025
MERLIN. IT HADN’T EVEN BEEN six months since Calliope had obtained her last wand from that famous Ollivander’s store in Diagon Alley before she had gone off again and broken it. The breakage went unnoticed, considering how intoxicated the Fleming was and how much she hated her brother for allowing her to get there. In fairness, they did meet on the streets of Hogsmeade and not inside Hogs Head. He wasn’t allowed after all. Stupid child rules, Eli was legal! At least she thought so. It’s the best wand created! She remembered hearing from the owner and her son. What a load of bull. Thank God Cal was talented in something like wandless magic, but she knew with her different jobs, she would need a wand. Couldn’t have people knowing her talents after all. Twirling one half of the broken wand in her hand, the Fleming strolled down Horizon Alley, planning to head to Diagon after she ran her errands here. Familiar store signs caught the girl’s attention, until she passed by one store she didn’t notice at all. She did a double take, taking a few steps back to have an inspection. The window sported a ‘newly opened’ sign, while the outdoor decor showed its uniqueness.
”The Queen's Wands and Woodworks.” She read aloud, eyes gobbling up the title of the store. Was it Merlin’s luck that she had stumbled across the place? Calliope’s eyes shone bright with yellow hues to sport her excitement and she had to cough to blow out and stabilise her control with her ability. By then, eyes turned emerald green and her usual pale blonde hair colour soon trickled into a deep golden. What was she, a cartoon character? Stepping towards the door, a pale hand pushed forward, the sound of a welcoming bell triggering off above her. The place was fairly spacious, at least enough for the Fleming to curiously take a peek of things. There was a wall of wands, perhaps the owners best creations? And even equipment lying around. But she saw…No owner.
”Hello?” Cal decided to call out, her accent still heavy despite the odd year or two she had already spent in the United Kingdom. She hated it here when she first arrived, but since then as well as the opportunities she had and eventually…Dropped, the Fleming grew some kind of liking to it.
