25TH FEBRUARY 2025
IT HAD BEEN SOME TIME since Edrik Krum had returned to his family home. It felt weird to do so while Iliana and Helena were in Hogwarts, because then it would just be Edrik, Irina and their parents. Now with all of them being a little older, they didn’t really have much in similar interests aside from one another’s well-being and Edrik’s rise in his Quidditch career. Now he was at a stump, unsure of what to do or who to turn to since the team was failing incredibly bad this season. Unknown teams were ahead of them for Merlin’s sake! As he greeted the welcoming elf, the eldest only hoped their father wasn’t home. He didn’t need a lecture from the man today. Especially with the latest sports headlines, Edrik was doing his best to avoid his father. Owls, visits in his apartment, visits at promotions, the whole lot.
Maybe he needed a career change, Quidditch wasn’t for everyone, and Irina was the perfect person to talk to about it. She loved Quidditch back in their schooling times and she was a far better player than Edrik, not that he wanted to admit it, but it was simply true. Strolling into the living room of the house, Edrik shrugged off his jacket, recalling the times he would be running with a smaller Iliana or Helena on his shoulders. It was if he could envision it before him, but it was simple memories. He moved over to the couch, lifting one leg over it to hop into his seat. Merlin, he remembered the countless times Mother would yell at him for doing that. Irina Rose Krum & you asked and i provided! i guess daddio viktor can join also since,,,gurls are at school lolol

Irina had just finished up at work for the week and decided to spend some time at the Krum family home to get away from the city. What had happened to Trixie was affecting her more than she was expecting it to, so she hoped a weekend away would do her some good. What she wasn’t expecting when she walked in the front door was to see her elder brother Ed sitting on the couch with a forlorn expression on his face. Immediately, Irina sensed what was up; it was the same expression that many of his teammates wore recently, as their season had been going ...well, poorly was the nice word for it. Daniel didn’t really talk about it, and since he dealt with his emotions very differently than most people, Irina let him be. Ed however, was different; he was her brother and decidedly not an empath, but she wouldn’t push the subject if he didn’t want to. “Fancy seeing you here big bro,” she called out, dropping her bag by the hallway and going over to join him in the living room. She sat on the big plush chair, legs tucked up underneath her. “How’s things?” she asked casually, letting him decide the course of this conversation @edrik

SOME WEEKS HAD ALSO GONE by since the latest sport article for each of the teams and while Edrik was excited to return to the family home…He wasn’t looking forward to hearing his father’s comments. So when Irina made her presence known, dropping her bag in the Krum hallways and joining him on the chair nearby him, Edrik forced a smile out of himself. ”Irina…Where have you been hiding?” Edrik of course had spoken to his sister, but hadn’t exactly seen her since…his birthday? When he took Tia out on that date? At least that’s what he last remembered.
”Things have been…Odd.” He admitted, hand raising to wipe at his eyes. ”Did you see? About the Quidditch league?”

Irina shrugged. “Not hiding exactly, just not in the living room until I heard someone else come in,” she said lightly. She looked at him sympathetically as he asked about the Quidditch league. “Of course I’ve seen; you do remember I’m dating one of your teammates - you know, your best friend?” she reminded him with a small smile, trying to make him laugh at least a little. Needless to say it had NOT been a good year for the Arrows, and she knew it. “You’re a pretty young team, and your coach up and left right before the season started. You were bound to hit some bumps in the road,” she told him, reaching out to take his hand. “Let’s think of it as a rebuilding year of sorts, or at least that’s what you’ll tell Papa,” she added. “I assume that’s partly why you’re here?” she asked, leaning her head to one side and looking at him pointedly. She knew Ed always prepared for the worst when it came to Quidditch and their father, but as he got older Viktor did seem more sympathetic to his childrens’ happiness. She hoped he wouldn’t be too hard on Ed at any rate. @edrik

AFTER WIPING HIS EYES, EDRIK kept his gaze on his sister, forcing out a smile with her starting response. It was common for Edrik to owl his sister every now and then, but more so uncommon to find her in their family home. Especially when the two Krum’s respectively had their own apartments. Edrik alone while Irina was..with..Tia. Awkward. At her joke of a reminder, Edrik quietly chuckled. ”I haven’t forgotten unfortunately.” The jab was playful, and like the next person Edrik was surprised when he discovered Daniel and Irina’s relationship — but just felt upset when they hadn’t informed him sooner.
The joke was needed for the elder Krum considering how terribly their team was doing. He could see it in the faces of his team mates, how much they hated playing now and the shift in coaches wasn’t helpful at all. ”Yeah. Some bumps…Not a complete failure for the rest of the season.” He reinforced, shuffling a bit so one leg was tucked under him. He smiled down at their hands though and her comforting words, but to their father, words were nothing in comparison to actions. ”As if the old man will listen to that anyway.” Edrik then nodded at her assumption, considering that was the whole reason for his trip here, to listen to the harsh words of Viktor Krum — everyone’s old and favourite legendary player. ”Unfortunately.” He added in.
”I don’t expect him to go easy on me, especially after the last…few games.” Games were it was pretty much the Krum’s fault for losing. Daniel didn’t really admit it either, but Edrik and even the whole team knew it was his fault.

Irina sighed and inched closer to Ed, a sympathetic look on her face. “Stop blaming yourself Ed,” she told him sternly. “It takes a team to win or lose a Quidditch match, not just one player. Just because you happen to be Keeper doesn’t mean all those goals are your fault. What about the Beaters, who are supposed to be directing Bludgers away from their players? Or the Chasers, who should be working to get the Quaffle out of the other teams hands? Or the Seeker, who should try and catch the snitch as quickly as possible?” she asked him, resting her chin on her hands as she looked up at him. “ See, it takes a TEAM. Plus, Dad is as familiar with loss as anyone - do you not remember the stories about the 1994 Quidditch World Cup? Dad got the Snitch, but Bulgaria still lost anyway,” she reminded her brother. Viktor had told them that he had quickly realized the Bulgarian Chasers were far outmatched by the Irish, and from stories of the children whose parents had been in the game, Irelands chasers that match had been a wonder to behold. “First things first, you’ve gotta get up and wipe that negative attitude off your face,” Irina declared, standing up and putting her hands on her hips. She looked outside to where a half-finished makeshift pitch their dad had been working on was. “You really believe you’re that bad? Show me,” she challenged. While Irina had never been on the house Quidditch team, she had flying talent that had been passed down from their parents. “Come on Krum, you going to forfeit to your baby sister?” she asked, jutting out her lower lip and staring him down. @edrik
