LIFE HAD BEEN INTERESTING IN the past few weeks, months or even the last year for Ares Lestrange. The year anniversary of his stupid parents had come and gone, he had joint custody with Callisto, given rights to see his son, revealed some deep secrets from Mina, listened to the stupid stories of his patrons daily and…was still insane alongside the Purifiers. Their last mission had been a success, an infiltration on Azkaban, a distraction (as well as destruction) at Hogsmeade and a whole bunch of things. Ares remembered the news headlines for weeks, how everyone feared the actions of the masterminds behind it. It was just a shame people didn’t know Elaine the way the Purifiers did, Merlin she was incredibly smart. It was also one of the reasons why Ares envied as well as adored her. She had a clever mind, one he craved to have but didn’t have the patience to obtain it in all fairness. But what Ares hadn’t been expecting was a note from Elaine, left in his apartment after his shift at his legal job, requiring him to attend a meeting by Elaine’s side and other Purifier members in the secret base immediately. Notes like such were normal to receive and it only meant something was up her sleeve.
Ares took off fairly quickly, flickering off all the lights in his home — having no intention to return home that night. Soon, he stepped through the connecting mirrors that led up to Ares entering the Purifier’s base and rounded the corner for the small meeting room. No one had turned up yet, which only meant maybe the Lestrange was early to arrive, so he waltzed over the couch, sitting down and crossing one leg over the other. From boredom that crept out of no where, Ares’ fingers tapped at the light bulb on the table side, intrigued at how the light flickered just from his magic. Merlin he loved being talented.@rivune, @amani & lets go!

For forty-eight hours of the past seventy-two, Amani hadn’t stopped working for anything other than the casual eating, drinking and showering. Growing up, he’d moments like these without blinking to think of the consequences, his youthful body ready and prepared to take on long journeys so his experiments could find a conclusion faster than expected and he’d be free to pursue other angles of knowledge. However, nearing his forty decade of life, the middle-aged man didn’t have as much vitality. What he did have was hate, vengefulness, and a sick desire to bring down everybody he’d always seen as targets. It’s why he continued working on his last potion, blind to the screams of the two unimportant, worthless guinea pigs he’d found himself after days in the streets of London. Finally, he watched as his research found the most successful result. Barely grinned at that, shrugging it off as another success; its real worth would be proven in the field, once it got permission to be used, if it did ever. He had grown restless to their ponderous pace, and though Amani knew the importance of waiting, the clock was ticking just as fast as his biological one. Careful hands took care of taking off his apron, a shake of his wand sending it off to a basket in which later he would have it washed. In that specific corner of the room, protective spells had been lifted so as nowhere else might be infected with the mixture of ingredients and possible - unwanted - results. He did mean to rest before, as it wasn’t an urgent task. He was one fortunate man when settling for sleep, eight hours of well-deserved awaiting him. His satisfaction could hardly be measured, since he would rather have his ambitions tested on the field as opposed to celebrating early. His chambers were guarded to the point only few could have access should they want it, without asking for permission; which is why he wasn’t so alarmed as he was curious when the doors opened, and even in his slowest state he took hold of his wand. Relieved, however, upon seeing it was an owl, and recognizing the little animal. “Payment is on that table, don’t touch anything else.” His voice sounded hoarse but he sighed before caressing the owl’s head, then proceeded to read the letter. Finally, something even better than working inside his chambers. *** “You are spending the evening with me.” Amani’s voice sounded serious, albeit slightly changed from the usual. He was a fine man even with the Polyjuice Potion changing him to a white, blonde, mid-30’s man. Instead of feeling naked or different, however, he had the posture of somebody who was extremely self-aware, and didn’t want to lose time with anything unnecessary. Furthermore, there was suitcase on his left hand; black, discreet, just perfect for his disguised self. “She has sent me this letter, which-” He showed them the note lying between his fingers of his right hand. Ares Lestrange and Patricia Dolohov. Both belonged to fine families, of which he hoped their relatives had managed to pass values such as patience and carefulness. “mentions the device we have used at Azkaban. I take it you’re both aware of every valuable information regarding that mission.” He made a pause, then offered the letter for Ares. It was best to have them both read it before leaving. “Our job is investigating its origin.” He wouldn’t explain what he’d brought to help. Himself and his wand, both were obvious, but the suitcase contained a handful of potions - all of which he’d been careful not to let slip his personal mark. If it were to fall on the wrong hands, he wanted to make it as distanced from him as possible. ares edward lestrange @rivune

ARES WAS WAITING QUIETLY FOR Elaine to turn up, provide some news and then he would be on his merry little way. It was normal for her to do so, with a few members or with the Purifiers as a whole, but what he hadn’t been expecting was company way before Elaine’s arrival. He most definitely hadn’t been expecting to see a woman with cloth covering her eyes. ”Ares Lestrange.” He introduced, attempting a smile at her. ”No news from Elaine just yet, but hopefully that’s due to change.”
And just as Ares spoke, another burst through the door with a man who abruptly seemed to speak about what they would be getting up to. The man seemed to be the eldest out of the three of them, not that the Lestrange minded, but Ares was more curious about the letter he had. ”That mission was one of my favourites.” Ares thought aloud, reminiscing of just a few months back. ”Investigating the origin huh?” He repeated, grin growing across his lips. Elaine had saw Ares was fit completely for this mission, but the Lestrange had an advantage for them. He just wasn’t sure he should mention it just yet.

Amani hadn't yet caught up with the dynamics between the two other purebloods, but should he have, it's fair to suppose it wouldn't improve on his current mood. He needed them focused, for as much as they were not in a rush, he knew better than to leave the head of the purifiers waiting. Miss Dolohov had a fair point concerning their possible actions, though he would rather stick to the most discreet of plans. Warranting attention was something the organization should do with an ultimate interest, as opposed to constantly, or so he thought. But for now all three of them had been chosen for the mission, and he was willing to play along. "I might know some of the people who have worked with it, but the ones involved with its creation is closely guarded information. Papers, however, are a whole other deal." The Wizarding World hadn't yet achieved the muggle-level of technology, which he was thankful for. It made their lives easier. Made it all that much easier to track stuff like this, because aside from protective spells, there shouldn't be much on the way of guarding - and all three of them were talented wizards in their own rights. ares edward lestrange @rivune

THE LESTRANGE SMILED IN THE direction of the woman, the mention of the Dolohovs family bringing up past memories of when Ares’ father would speak of their alliances with many other families, rejoicing in their pureblood ideologies. Sounded like bullshit to him, but the woman hadn’t annoyed the Lestrange yet.
He listened in, keeping quiet as the two conversed amongst one another but the woman’s inclusion of extracting information from people instead of records was music to Ares’ ears. He was a frontliner, a person who sought out the dangerous means of achieving information and even resorted to torture if he needed to do so. It was as if Elaine had picked him for the right role. Slapping his knees to indicate he wanted to speak, Ares grinned at them both.
”Torture and obtaining information could have been my middle name.” He grinned, folding his arms. ”But unfortunately my parents lobed me with Edward.” He stood then, reaching over to the elder man. ”I might have an advantage in this area. A little friend who might be a record keeper…For these kind of things I believe.”

The thing about working with teenagers is... well, they were teenagers. Amani made peace a long time ago with putting young adults in the same category, well aware of their impulses. He knew better than to believe his companions for this task would understand the art of waiting. There was something of youth that carried constant traces of risk - of jumping first and only then checking to see what's underground. He would rather believe Elaine had chosen these two for a reason, but he couldn't risk having records erased because somebody else found out they were on its trails. It was a game of balancing options and never playing too much on only one lead.
For the time being, Amani decided he would follow whichever idea they had, so long as he could nitpick to his heart's desire. "Who is that friend and how will we get to them? He stared at the young Lestrange, wondering what were the things he was most skilled at. "Remember we only have one chance at each idea. If anybody with opposite interests finds out we are on their lead, any information could disappear just like that-" With a snap of his fingers to illustrate his points, he gave the other two the necessary space to tell them what they envisioned. ares edward lestrange
