HOGSMEADE WEEKEND WAS ALWAYS RUE’S favourite time of the week, month, or even year. At least, when it was spent by Mina’s side in Seventh Year. Rue couldn’t remember much about their past considering the numbness of her own potions, drugs she had taken and even the secret stash of her father’s own medication, but she was sure nothing like ‘Hogsmeade weekend’ existed in Ilvermorny. But now Rue was twenty-one. An old age for a child or any kind of student, but still a stupid young adult to the eyes of elderly wizards and warlocks. Youngsters never won. Hair blown into messy waves, Rue’s hands were stuffed in their pockets, hand gripping tight on a concealed potion. Rue had a new client today, which they were supposed to meet somewhere in the village, but where, the Weiss couldn’t remember. Simply because…Well. Rue was high out of her goddamn mind. Selling to people always made her feel rather uneasy, which was odd considering they were always discreet and one of the best liars to walk this god-forsaken earth anyway. It was probably because deals were done in disclosed areas, places with fewer people around, or with simply no one at all.
Sunglasses pushed up the bridge of Rue’s nose, the Potioneer turned a corner, which lead them into an alleyway that would draw two different streets together. It was there she stopped, hoping the client could follow the riddle Rue had placed together in their owls back and forth. Rue didn’t know much about them, aside from their gender (female, which was a surprise for once), and the possible hint of an idea that they were a student. Who else requested to meet in Hogsmeade for Merlin’s sake? Rue leaned against the walls of the tight alley, a free hand gripping tighter at her jacket to warm her up a little more. Even though Rue loved Hogsmeade for the excitement it brought (as well as the dangers of wandering amongst it while high as hell), she always hated how cold Scotland was. And Rue thought London was bad.

Through a vine of information, Isabel had gotten a way to contact someone that dealt in the black market - drugs - to be exact. It had taken a lot of threatening to get this contacts information to speak with them, and when the informant finally gave it to her - she contacted them. Through a few owls, they decided on what she wanted, where they would meet, and how much it would cost. Isabel was not a drug person, but anything to numb the pain...right?
They had agreed to Hogsmeade during the weekend that was spent there, and a riddle was placed to find the exact location of the deal. She brought the money, and quickly slipped from the group that she had been following, and followed the riddle - the very riddle that leads her to an alleyway. Slowly, she walked down it, clutching her jacket closed as if this were a trap that would end her life - especially after the attack during the Christmas holiday.
"Hello?" she hissed out, trying to find the person that she had yet to see. God, did she get the riddle wrong? Was this a trap?

wonder how i got by this week. RUE DIDN’T ALWAYS LOVE SETTING up visits with her clients. She never really knew their names nor what they looked like, which was nice considering she only knew what they wanted, when and how they would like it instead. At least that’s what she gathered from the detailing in the Owls they would share. It was nice, being anonymous for a small amount of time, until the meeting would commence. Rue wasn’t the type to speak with confidence unless she was high or had a drink or two, and it was typically something she envied Mina for. That girl could speak for days, but that’s why Rue loved her.
Standing what felt like sometime, Rue was almost relieved to hear a female voice. She pushed herself off the bricked wall, hands still shoved deep into the pockets of her hoodies, dark eyes — with pupils blown incredibly wide — hidden behind the frames of her sunglasses. ”Hey.” She called out, not having seen the face just yet. ”Guess you weren’t too stupid to understand the riddle then.” She said, laughing quietly to herself. Merlin she was funny when she was high. (She wasn’t.)
