March 4th, 2025 Nora skipped into the Great Hall, looking for someone to sit next to for dinner. Her eyes fell on Eibhleann. They were the same year and house, therefore roommates. Nora had just started at Hogwarts this year, so she didn't know everyone super well but she tried. She slid into the seat next to the girl, reaching forward to grab some food for her plate before saying anything. "I'm not sure why they cook the meat so well done, it's a sha- aw! Nevermind," on her plate appeared a stake cooked rare, and she grinned happily at it. Those elves were so nice! How they knew what she wanted and where she sat was a magical mystery, but Nora was happy that they cared so much about her well being. She turned to look at Eibhleann. "What's up?" her French-Canadian accent sounded odd saying those words, but she learned the lingo from the Americans mostly. @finnigan

The evening had neared and the sound of students chattering filled the great hall. The young Irish girl picked her place toward the end of the table with her fellow sixth years and began to fill her plate. This evening she had decided to go with lamb shank and roasted vegetables, a mixture of protein and carbohydrates. After filling her plate she placed it carefully in front of her and drizzled some gravy on top. Eibhleann had always tried to keep healthy, it helped with her training. Although the Gryffindor student was definitely partial to some cake, particularly lemon drizzle cake.
The brunette dug into her meal, carefully cutting up the lamb and tearing it away from the bone. Eibhleann turned her head to see who had sat next to her, her facial expression remained blank as she saw it was the recent transfer student Nora. The gryffindor could hear her waffling on but took no notice before she directed a question at her. Eve snickered slightly at the way the phrase sounded in her accent before she swallowed her food, “I’m grand, I just got down here. I’m planning on having my dinner and then desert before I go back to the common room..” Eibhleann didn’t know Nora well, they shared a dormitory together but had never really had an actual conversation.
Eibhleann looked at the gryffindor with her pale blue eyes, “What about you?” Her harsh Irish accent was usually hard to understand but usually most of the British students caught on pretty quickly. Although she wasn’t sure if Nora would understand her, but then again sometimes Eibhleann didn’t understand Nora’s accent.
