James had honestly forgotten, but he didn't admit that. Why would he? It wasn't like he was deaf. He just forgot things from time to time. And who's to say that she was heading toward the Ravenclaw Tower, anyway? It didn't seem likely that she wasn't, but again, the Gryffindor didn't want to admit that. He then shook his head as she asked him if he was going to the dorms.
"Nope, I'm going to the Great Hall," he said, thinking this was obvious. They were a bit of the way from the Hall, but still, he would have thought this to be an easy decision. He had honestly been lost in his own little world when she had told him she was heading to the Ravenclaw Tower.
@priscilla OOC: Yes, it was a mistake on my part. But I'll roll with it.

"Nope, I'm going to the Great Hall," James replied to her, and it was then that Priscilla realized that he must have been headed into the Great Hall as she was walking out of it from dinner, rather than simply trying to catch back up to someone or something like that. It made sense, and it also frustrated her. She had been so worried about trying to ditch the guy that she had ended up conversing with him—all for him to tell her that he wasn't even going in the same direction as she was.
It would have been something that most people would have found humor in, though Priscilla was admittedly frustrated with herself for not having asked before. It had been only a few minutes, at most, though she could have saved herself that precious time.
At the risk of having James think that she was totally stupid—not that she actually cared—she decided that she could extend her kindness a few moments more to wish him a nice meal. "Enjoy your dinner," she offered, her words rising almost as though they were a question.
@james OOC: It happens!

James found Priscilla odd. He didn't quite know why, but she seemed harsh. Like she thought she was better than everyone else. But he also had no intention of learning about her family. That wasn't something he cared to do. He hadn't been paying attention for a few moments and he almost missed what the Ravenclaw said. "Oh, well, I'm only going to study or work on a letter, but eating may come later, so thank you anyway," he told her.
He could tell she wanted to leave, but he wasn't sure he wanted to. "Are you going to study?" he asked. "Or sleep?" he was quite curious. He'd keep her around just a bit longer. He wasn't sure why, but the Gryffindor needed something to distract him from the Purifiers. They were always on his mind, and he just had to keep them out of his head. And the mix of fear and anger he felt for them.
@priscilla OOC: Of course!

"Oh, well, I'm only going to study or work on a letter, but eating may come later, so thank you anyway."
Blinking, Priscilla nodded her head in acknowledgement. She wasn't really bothered by when or what he chose to eat. Unless he was actually a vampire and was secretly keen on sucking her blood, she didn't care. It made her no difference what James did with his life, in fact; he was just another student at Hogwarts, and she would be free of the castle soon enough to begin her married life.
"Are you going to study?" Priscilla questioned if she had misheard him. "Or sleep?"
What business was it of his? What did he care what she did with her time? Was he just so fascinated by her? "Merlin's beard," she muttered in utter disbelief, resisting a laugh. "…You know I'm getting married, don't you?"
