Saturday Weekly was made a werewolf out of the revenge of his werewolf father when he was around 1 year old. He has no memory of the event, nor how it felt or what happened to his father afterwards. He wasn’t able to even comprehend what the things he was going through meant until he was around 5 years old. The staff at the orphanage had tried to explain it to him time and time again but he only started to really understand when he was around 5. Before that point, he mostly just cried, and screamed. And reported that he was sick. He heard from the people who worked there that they felt so sorry for all the pain that he had to go through, and he knew his mother was jailed for not reporting it sooner. As far as his father who had forced his upon him, they hadn’t managed to track him down.
Transitions were kind of a normal part of his life, and he had become resigned to them and numb to the process. He started being given wolfsbane potion when he was given to the orphanage and that helped make it all easier to understand and easier to handle. He knew he had the worst of it as a child and by the time he was adopted, he was used to it and thanks to the people that helped him in the orphanage, he knew the best ways to prepare for it so that he didn’t have to be confused or uncomfortable, and could just do his thing for a night and then forget it happened and go on with his life with minimal interruption.
Recently, he found that the use of marijuana, including CBD, during the days before and after his transformation really helped the same, if not better, than most pain potions he had been given as a child. So, he’s been trying to switch mainly to this method of pain management. Being at Hogwarts he spent the full moons on his own in the forest, mostly just chilling in a tree thanks to the use of wolfsbane potions allowing him to keep his human mind during those transformations. It’s been a little harder in London, but with the use of magic and the continued use of wolfsbane (and the support from his siblings) he’s been able to make it work with minimal complications.
Overall, this is a lifestyle that Saturday would never have chosen for himself, but since it was forced upon him, he’s glad that he’s been able to make it work out. And recently, since he’s been really getting the hang of it, and feels more comfortable in his skin (and fur).
