he grinned a little as monday asked about a measuring cup and he shook his head with a little vigour. "we don't measure things when we cook. we cook by feel. taste. smell." he said as he finished pouring the flour into the bowl and he tapped the sides of the bowl to make it flat ontop. "yep, when they're done pour them into the bowl and i'll mix it." he said as he set the bowl of flour and sugar closer to monday so she could put all the wet ingredients in it easier. he wiped his hands on a towel as he looked at thursday as she started to tell him about the game. "puzzles? something like solve the puzzle to kill the monster and solve riddles to find treasure?" he asked her, wonderinf if asking somewhat silly questions would keep her in their world just long enough to eat something before she crashed.

"We don't measure things when we cook," Sunday stated. "We cook by feel. Taste. Smell."
"Well, maybe you do," Monday giggled at her younger brother's complete disregard for measurements or ratios. She was at least trying to be professional about it; he was throwing caution to the wind and doing what he wanted with it. Still, it wasn't as though any of them had been to culinary school, and half of the ingredients they had on hand were either some vegan substitute or another or the least vegan thing possible… Some experimentation was probably necessary. If the whole batch of batter sucked, they didn't have to eat it.
As she worked on getting all of the wet ingredients together, Sunday and Thursday were conversing about Thursday's game. Thursday seemed a little sleepy, saying "puddle" rather than "puzzle" initially, which nearly caused Monday to drop an entire egg into the bowl as it was because she was trying not to laugh.
Even in Thursday's sleep deprivation, the game sounded interesting: a puzzle game with adventure and monsters. "Puzzles?" Sunday asked. "Something like solve the puzzle to kill the monster and solve riddles to find treasure?"
"That sounds really cool," Monday agreed, finishing getting the wet ingredients together in their bowl, washing her hands, and putting the things that they would no longer need back in their respective places. Careful not to spill anything, she poured the wet ingredients in with the flour and then cursed softly. "…Sun," she sighed, "did you already put the baking powder in?" Or was she the one who had screwed it up just then?

Having your brain travel from present to fuzzy made keeping track of the conversations quite hard for Thursday. Laying her head down felt good, and here eyelids were just so heavy. "something like solve the puzzle to kill the monster and solve riddles to find treasure?" "Sort of," She mumbled. "with many solutions." The idea was that there would be many ways to solve the problem in front of the player. Each person would, therefore, play the game differently. And if someone wanted to play the game again, they could make different choices, for a different result with the same puzzle. She had been working on a flow chart for quite some time, and it made sense to her, but explaining was a bit difficult at the moment.
The girl let out a tired "yayyyyyh" in response to Monday saying that it sounded cool. Though the late response may have been a lack of sleep. Thursday was quite smart, and usually on top of things. Sleep deprivation was a serious downfall to that.

he looked at the bowls of the wet mixture and dry as monday poured them both together and he ran his hand through his hair. he honestly couldn't remember what he'd put in there. "uh i can't remember." he said with a confused laugh. "i guess if there's none they'll be really flat and if there's double they'll be really fluffy?" he said as he got the fry pan down from it's sport hanging on the wall and he started heating it up on the stove. he looked over at thursday and he nudged her knee gently with the egg flipper. "stay awake. fifteen more minutes. you can do it!" he said with a grin. "ready to cook them mon?"

As particular as she could be about things, Monday wasn't about to throw out the batter that had just been made and waste it all over some baking powder just to make certain that the correct amount had been put in the first time. It didn't help things that Sunday couldn't remember whether or not he had put baking powder into it, either, but they would just have to take their chances on putting in a little bit more. Fortunately for them, this wasn't Potions class; it was cooking, and the possibility of adding a little bit of baking powder beyond what seemed really necessary wasn't going to cause anything to explode.
Since Sunday couldn't remember if he'd put it in, it also seemed likely that there wasn't any baking powder in the pancake batter, so Monday didn't hesitate in adding some in. She was careful to err on the side of adding a little bit less than she might have put into it otherwise, but she hoped that it wouldn't negatively affect the pancakes. Thankfully, she wasn't sure if Thursday would even pick up on it if they were to taste a little funky; though she had been explaining her game to Sunday, her excitement about the food was delayed by what had to have been tiredness.
Sunday got down the frying pan and started to heat the stove. As he waited for it to get to the right temperature, he nudged Thursday in the knee with the spatula to make sure that she didn't fully fall asleep. "Stay awake. Fifteen more minutes. You can do it!" he urged her, grinning.
Monday had to laugh a little, and she was still laughing as Sunday asked if she was ready to cook them. "Yep," she nodded to him, carefully pouring out enough batter for the first pancake into the pan. It probably wasn't the best way to go about it, she realized, but it was quick. "I'll let you flip, 'kay? Just don't flip them on the floor or anything."

It was no secret that Thursday was tired. Late nights were common for her, whether for fun or study. She rarely did an all nighters like this. She was just so enveloped with her project. Creating a video game had a lot put into it. Everything with a game had to be created. Every background, character, item, notification, and rule. When she had started the project, there was nothing. Just the coding program that she had learned. She really had come a long way sense then. She had done so much, but still had such a long way to go.
The sleepy middle child half listened as her siblings talked about the making of the breakfast food. With so many siblings, all around the same age, there were bound to be disagreements on how things should be done. Though, the Weekly kids all seemed to work well enough together that little things are quickly resolved. She caught on the words "flat" and "fluffy" from her youngest brother. Neither sounded too bad to the pink haired one. If they were flat, they were more like crepe's and if they were fluffy, well that was never a bad thing. She had a number of fluffy stuffed animals in her room. She gave a sleepy smile. Her bed sounded so good right now. All warm and soft and big. She could curl up under the covers and dream the day away. Wait, what were they talking about again?
The girl head the clanking of pans as her brother moved around the kitchen. She registered the sound, but stayed where she was. She soon felt something hard and flat pushed into her knee. Followed by Sunday's voice. "stay awake. fifteen more minutes. you can do it!" She, once again lifted her head, eyes not quite wanting to stay open. The girl gave a yawn, while also trying to say "I'm awaaaaaake"
With the promise of food coming soon, Thursday kept her head lifted. She looked around and watched her sister poor some batter into the fry pan. "I'll let you flip, 'kay? Just don't flip them on the floor or anything." she gave a tired giggle "That would be funny" she drowsily said. Trying to stay awake more as she knew that it would be time to eat soon.

when monday said she'd let him flip he grinned a little and went hunting through the drawer for an egg flip. he wouldn't have been opposed to trying to flip them in the pan, like the fancy chefs did but he wasn't sure that he was awake enough for that yet. plus he didn't think his siblings would enjoy pancakes that had landed on the floor. so he went for the safer option and that was the egg flip.
"okay, i'll try to flip them onto the floor." he said with a bit of a grin as he started to pour the batter into the hot frypan. this was the worst part, the waiting for them to be cooked. he didn't have the most patience of his siblings and it did take a while for them to cook, he just hoped they cooked quickly enough for thursday to eat them before she really fell asleep on them.
"oh i believe you." he said as thursday said, rather dramatically, that she was awake. he looked back at the pan and saw the start of little bubbles forming around the edge and he gripped the egg slice in two hands, doing his best to force himself to wait. he looked at thursday and grinned a little. "it would be funny would it? so you want your pancake with a side of tile?" he said as he glanced to the floor beneath their feet before he got to work flipping the pancakes.

The good thing about Thursday's pulling an all-nighter during the summer, Monday supposed, was that she didn't have to worry about, say, making breakfast for herself or being functional enough for a day full of classes. As soon as the pancakes were ready, she could eat her breakfast and then go to bed. Assuming that none of their other siblings would bother her for any reason (and Monday would do her best to make sure that they wouldn't), Thursday would be able to rest and return to something of a normal sleep schedule.
For the moment, at least, Sunday kept prodding Thursday awake, not that she seemed fully aware of what was going on. It was almost funny how funny she found everything all of a sudden, including the thought of Sunday's flipping the pancakes onto the floor. Sunday said that he would try to do that, then, and Monday glared at him when he brought it up a second time and asked Thursday if she wanted hers with "a side of tile".
"If you flip them on the floor, you're eating them, Sun," Monday warned him, and she watched the batter that much more carefully. "I will wrestle you for that spatula if you even try…"
@thursday @sunday OOC: I'm thinking we can start to wrap this up?

Thursday watched as her brother poured the batter into the hot pan, the sizzling was comforting to her, and soon the smell of baking batter filled the kitchen. As the better sizzled away. Saturday said that he believed that she was awake, but his tone said otherwise. She gave a sleepy smile in his direction. Shaking her head when he asked if she wanted some tile with her pancake. "Too crunchy, just sweets is....are fine." Wait....that didn't sound right. Had her English gone now too? Once the food was in her, she could crawl into her nice cozy bed and sleep the day away. Staying up late wasn't anything new for the young part-vampire, but she usually made a point to get to bed before too late.
The pink haired girl laughed as Monday ensured that the pancake didn't find it's way to the floor. She laughed at herself as she thought. "hehe.....Momday" She laughed again, tired, but the girl was one of the oldest of the group, and was a good second mom for many of the young ones, especially Thursday.
@sunday monday meadow weekly OOC: Once Thursday eats, she's gunna go to bed and crash!
