@thursday the last thing sunday remembered was that he'd turned a movie on. he knew for sure that he'd pressed play because he could recall seeing the world with the words scroll across the screen for at least a few seconds before he'd drifted off to sleep. what he didn't know was how long he'd been asleep. it wasn't a deep sleep he fell into, it was restless and broken as he twisted and turned on the couch, the rug that had been thrown over the back of the couch was now tight around his body. restless sleep wasn't anything new to him, his sleep was often short, broken and light in the days after the full moon and today was no exception. he awoke with a start as the credits rolled across the screen of the tv across the room and he dragged his hand across his face.
sitting up he did his best to try and untangle himself from the rug, doing what he could to get rid of it because he already felt like it was hotter than the sun. everything felt heavy as he moved it and there was an ache that had seemed to settle against his bones while he'd been sleeping. that wasn't normal. normally the days got easier and he started feeling better, not worse. he rested his head into his hands as he sat on the couch, feeling like he was sweating through every layer of clothing he was wearing. "what the hell..." he muttered to himself as he coughed suddenly, sharp and loud as he covered his mouth with his hand, the realisation of what might be wrong with him slowly dawning on him.

It was late at night, and Thursday could hear a movie playing, none of her siblings were the 'early to bed' types. Most of them tended to stay up late, so she had no idea who would be out there, just because any one of the seven other kids could be out there. Some were more likely than others. Thursday had lost track of time as she played an online video game, talking with others who were up late, or rarely, depending on where they were from. Finishing the raid that she was on, she decided a midnight snack was in order. Maybe then she would go to bed. Or maybe she would play some more. We would have to wait and see.
Thursday wasn't in her pj's yet, but she was wearing a pear of brightly patterned leggings, and an over sized vintage ban shirk that probably belonged to one of her brothers at some point. Perhaps they had grown out of it, or just given up on getting it back, she wasn't sure. She loved being one of the smallest members of the family, while she wasn't one of the youngest, she often though of herself as one...mostly because of her size.
As she silently crept of of her room and down the hall, she heard someone talking to themselves as the sound of movie credits floated to her. She entered the living area just in time to see her youngest brother, Sunday, coughing and looking not so good. "Hey Sun, you feelin' alright" Seeing him up wasn't uncommon, Thursday was a night owl, and she knew that her brother had a hard time sleeping.

@thursday he heard thursdays voice before he realised she was there. he dropped his hand from his mouth and lifted his head to look up at his sister. he nodded his head just a little, though he was sure his face gave away everything he was feeling in that moment. he chewed the inside of his lip for a second before he pushed himself up off the couch, folding his arms across his chest lightly as he took somewhat of a step back from her. "yep.. got too hot, stupid rug and all." he said as he glanced at the couch he'd been sleeping on, the rug now crumpled over the cushions. he coughed into his hand again as he stepped behind the couch, keeping one arm crossed across his chest, some sort of physiological barrier.
"it's nothing.." he tried to brush it off, hoping that she was tired enough to buy it and would leave him alone so he could go hole up in his room for the next day or two, at least until he felt somewhat better. the only problem was he'd been feeling crappy for days but had put it down to his full moon recovery, aches and being tired were normal, he'd not taken any notice of the fact that they were some of the symptoms of the disease that was keeping them locked down in the uk. he lowered his head so he could wipe his forehead against his shoulder, still feeling like he was weating more than possible and he took another half step back.

Thursday was quiet when she moved around. She knew that. That was why she did her best to announce her presence, before she scared any of them. It didn't seem like she had scarred her youngest brother. But the coughing definitely did come from him. She saw him take his hand away as he looked at her. He defiantly didn't look too well, but he nodded his head nonetheless.
He stepped away, and she recognized the movements of closing into yourself. She did it regularly, especially on really bad days. He was defiantly not feeling well. "it's nothing.." Thursday cocked an eyebrow at him. "Are you sure, it doesn't sound like nothing" Still she didn't move closer. The siblings weren't in the tightest of quarters, but they still lived fairly close to each other. If one of them got sick, it wouldn't be hard for it to be passed around. Some would take to it better than others.
Thursday decided that it would be better to figure out what it was and if they should be concerned. "I think we should take your temperature" She moved to where she knew a thermometer was. Their worried mother had sent them a lot of useless things. But now, some things seemed less useless. She pulled the thermometer out, thank goodness you didn't need to use magic to use it. She walked up to Sunday, being careful not to get too close. "Here, take your temperature and I'll make some Basil and Ginger tea." She wasn't one to like tea too much, but their mother had sent some to help prevent getting sick.

@thursday he nodded when she asked if he was sure. "yeah." he said as he tucked his hands against his chest lightly. "probably the afters of the full moon, you know." he said, trying to brush it off so there was a chance she'd let it go and let him crawl into his bed. when there was a few seconds silence he wondered if she'd be willing to let it go, to take his word and that would be that but that was wishful thinking. he bit back a groan when she suggested using that contraption his mother had sent them, but it was muffled by him coughing into his shoulder.
he dropped his arms from his across his chest when she held out the thermometer and he took it into his hand, pressing the little button that made it work and he used it like she'd asked him to. there was no point in arguing, after all there was every chance that she'd chase him down or spell him into place so she could do it herself. he shuddered when the ginger and basil tea was mentioned and he shook his head quickly. "normal tea, thanks." he said, his voice cracking slightly as he voiced his objection to the concoction that his mother had sent them. "39." he said as the thing beeped and he put the small machine down on the table next to the couch.
what came next he didn't expect. it was sudden, there was no chance to cover his face as the sneeze shook him, blew from his nose and the flames that erupted from him hot and fast. it shocked him, though it only lasted a second but it was long enough for the couch to start burning. his eyes widened a little as he, without thinking, reached his hand out to try and pat the flames out. "shit." he said, pulling his hand back when it burned, grabbing one of the cushions that wasn't burning instead, trying to extinguish the burning before the whole house smelled the smoke, or they got soaked by the sprinklers.

Sunday was sure that it was nothing, and him being a werewolf, meant that he did seem to be sickly around the full moon. She understood that. It had been sometime, but it was still recent enough that something could be coming from that, but she didn't want to risk it. There was a nasty sickness going around, and she was worried that any of her siblings would get it.
Thursday stood for a moment as she watched her brother take the thermometer from her hand and into his. He pushed the button, and satisfied that he would use it, she moved to go and make the tea. "Normal?" She confirmed as she put a kettle full of water on the stove. "Comin' right up" This would have been easier if she could use magic like her older siblings. But the water was already fairly warm coming out, and the stove heat was on high. She waited and listened for the beeping of the machine and heard her brothers temperature read out. That sounded like a fever to her.
She turned to address her youngest brother with the confirmation that he was truly sick. He must have something, hopefully it was just a summer cold. With a gasp, her worst feat had come true. The shock of fire literally exploding fro her brother didn't last too long, Thursday quickly grabbed a wet hand rag that someone had used for drying dishes. She hurried from the sink to see her brother trying to pat the fire out with his hands. He then tried another cushion. She came close and patted the fire with a cooler, and wetter solution. Holding her hands there she looked from there brothers red, hot hands to his face, her eyes still wide. There was no way she was going to get to sleep now. Feeling the blood pumping through her body she took a break "No kidding." There was a slight smells of synthetic material burning. She looked from the now blackened couch. After taking a few deep breaths, she laughed a little "Maybe try aiming next time" She smiled at her brother, who was, now, confirmed to have Hag's Fever.

@thursday the smell of the burnt couch was bitter in his nose and he didn't think he'd ever smelled anything like it. apparently expensive couches didn't smell like roses when they burned. who knew. this wasn't good. it wasn't the end of the world but it wasn't good. they'd been trying to avoid getting sick. he had siblings something like this would be horrible for. he was slightly lucky, his affliction just made him a monster once every month. it didn't make him susceptible to nasty germs. he closed his hands into fists, wincing slightly as the raw skin folded with his fingers but the burns weren't bad, he doubted he'd even feel them in the morning. "how about i walk around with a bubble on my head?" he asked as he coughed into a fist and looked at the couch. "think we can tell mum one of her hippy products did this?" he asked as he started trying to walk around her, not getting too close, so he could try and retreat to his room to suffer this out on his own.

If their other siblings were not alerted to the sounds the two were making, the smell definatly would get someones attention. That is, as soon as they entered the main living space. Staying up in the penthouse for most of the time was all for naught now. The Weekly's had avoided the illness so far, but now it had hit. She knew that some of the kids would take to it worse than others. It would be best to keep it away form them.
Her brother coughed again, and Tursday went over to the steeming water and poored it from the kettle to a mug with a tea bag in it. Making a note of the time, she would need to allow it to steep. She wasn't a big fan of tea - it wasn't sweet enough for her - but she knew how to make it. She laughed as he mentioned a bubble over her head. "I thought you would prefer just your room, but I'm sure we can find a head bubble on the internet. I'm sure Tuesday would know a good flame retardant spell to enchant it with." She smiled sympathetically at him. This wasn't going to be fun. After this, she would need to keep an eye out for symptoms, and keep herself locked in her room. That didn't sound horrible though.
"think we can tell mum one of her hippy products did this?" She laughed. "I'm piety sure I saw some sort of ghost pepper byproduct in the kitchen yesterday. We can blame that" What else would cause fire breath? She chuckled, not even sure if the item she saw was a prank from one of her siblings, or something that heir mother had actually sent. She knew of at least one care package that the woman had sent her poor children.

@thursday somehow he came to the realisation that she probably wasn't going to let him slink back to his room before he'd at least taken some of the tea down his throat. he watched her move to finish off the tea and he dropped onto one of the armchairs that were placed around the room, resting his head in his hands while he sat there, waiting for the inevitable which would be another sneeze of fire or a cough of some other horrible liquid that he didn't want to imagine. he rubbed his fingers into his eyes tiredly as he heard her say they could probably make a flame retardant bubble. that sounded like a plan but if the flame couldn't leave the bubble .. he didn't want to know what would happen to his face.
"scrap that. bed is better." he said as he lifted his head from his hands to look at her. he nodded when she suggested they blame it on one of the hot chilli's their mother had sent them. "nothing to say it doesn't cause fire breath." he said as he pressed his face into his shoulder to muffle another cough. he could feel his throat starting to burn and he was dreading how much worse this was going to get before he felt better. probably by the time the next full moon came around by his luck. "just send me to the vet and be done with it." he said, trying to work a smile onto his mouth as he laughed a little but it descending into a cough.

Thursday always thought of her self as one of the youngest. Being the youngest girl, and surely one of the smallest. It was rare that she had a chance to play big sister. She felt a sort of confidence from it, something that didn't come to her very often. She moved to poor and steep his tea as he said that his bed would be best. She laughed and agreed "Thought so" He had gone and made himself comfortable again, covering his face with his hands. She heard a muffled cough as.
Thursday finished making Sunday's tea and brought it over to him. "Then we'd have to obliviate a perfectly good vet." She handed him the mug. "Drink it, then you can go to bed and sleep it off" Unfortunately it would a bit more than just sleeping this one off.

@thursday he reached up to curl his hands around the warmth of the cup she'd handed him and he nodded his head a little. "one teeny spell for an eternity of peace." he said as he took a sip of the drink she'd made him. thank god she'd listened and hadn't made one of the fancy, fruity and horrible tea's their mother had sent over for her children to try. plain old tea was still the best, at least for sunday. he closed his eyes as he took another sip, his body threatening to make him fall asleep then and there in the chair but he blinked himself awake. "you're all gonna vote me off the island .." he muttered into the cup lightly as he took another sip. "friday will turn my room into something else .. coat closet." he said as he coughed into his shoulder, his grip on the cup waining a little as he did. "you'll see ..."

Thursday gave her brother the cup of tea, making sure that he started to drink it. Then she went back to the kitchen area to quickly clean up and put away what she had pulled out to make the tea. "you're all gonna vote me off the island .." she heard him mutter. He continued to talk about how his room would be turned into something else, by Friday. "you'll see ..."
Thursday came back to him, and settled on a couch that was close to him and smiled, curling into a ball as he seemed to become lethargic. "I don't think so. Where would we find another Sunday?" She half teased. "You'll be fine, you just need to rest."

@thursday the tea was hot and it felt nice while he drank it. though he couldn't say it would help keep him awake for very long. he could already feel his eyes closing as he listened to his sister clatter around in the kitchen as she cleaned up the mess she'd made while making the tea. he finished the cup as she came back into the room and he set the glass on the floor next to the couch he was curled up on and he rested his head against the arm of the chair. he'd go to his bed after he rested his eyes for a bit. he would. "i'm sure there's some british orphan mum and dad could add to their brood .." he mumbled as he forced his eyes open again to look at his sister. "maybe the next sunday could be a sister .." he said as he brought his hand up to rest under his chin as he laid there.

After cleaning things up in the kitchen, Thursday returned to find Sunday in a comfortable position with his eyes closed. She noted the empty mug near by. He was mumbling about how they would replace him. "maybe the next sunday could be a sister .." She chuckled, "Mmm, no I don't think so. I like being the youngest girl." While she was technically a middle child.
She looked at her brother for a moment of looking at her brother she moved to him, poking his cheek "Hey Sun, I think it's time for you to go to bed"

@thursday when she said she liked being the youngest girl he smiled just a little. "so make sure they adopt an older one?" he offered her as a solution to that problem, even though it probably wasn't much of a practical one. he knew somewhere in the back of his mind that even if he did somehow manage to succumb to the non deadly disease he'd caught, they'd not replace him anyway. well he hoped that somewhere in the back of his mind.
he could feel himself falling asleep on the chair and he forced his eyes open to look at his older sister when she poked his cheek and he nodded a little. it did feel like the right time to go fall into bed. after all if he could just sleep for a hundred days he'd wake up and feel as human as he usually felt. "okay." he said agreeably as he dragged himself off the couch and he started to walk to his room, though the line wasn't exactly straight.
