Friday lived for fun, he lived for excitement and at times he lived for the annoyment of his siblings. He didn’t mean any harm by it, it was all in the name of good fun. He couldn’t help that some of his siblings were sticks in the mud and couldn’t take a joke. Friday didn’t really have an official summer in Europe last year. It was a little too hectic trying to get everything in order and settling into the new place with his siblings to find the time to have fun. That was partly why he was going to make the most out of this summer. That meant that one of the first things that needed to happen was a massive house party. Problem was that some of his siblings didn’t like that idea. Again, the sticks in the mud that hated fun. Friday was sure he had made a complying argument for why the party was needed but in the end he had only won over a sibling or two to his cause. If the others didn’t agree because they didn’t want to bother or because they actually hated the idea Friday wasn’t sure.
Still, Friday wasn’t going to let something as small as most of his family saying no stop him from throwing a party to celebrate summer properly. All he had to do was plan around them. Hide the preparations and wait. The waiting was the hardest part but finally around the middle of June he knew what day to pick. The whole family had decided a few days prior that they would go to some vegan restaurant on Friday. Possibly to annoy him since he hated vegan food. More he just preferred normal food to the vegan trend. Vegan pizza being just a terrible thing in general in his eyes, how could someone ruin something so good.
With the date now set for June twenty seventh Friday could actually prepare. This also worked as with the recent accident at the Quidditch championship maybe it would help people cheer up. Still, that was Friday just trying to find more reasons to throw the party he was already going to have. Friday found a band rather quickly. While he didn’t like just throwing his parents money around unlike some siblings he still used it when he needed too. Friday also was friends with one of the recent graduates so since they could do magic legally he called in a favor. The invitations were sent out the day before and once his family left for dinner leaving him behind he set things up.
Being a penthouse it was already big and it was a magical one at that so everything was far bigger inside anyway. Friday was kind enough to lock all his siblings doors. Not before filling Tuesday’s room with coats like he said he would when he first pitched the party idea. It was mostly a joke that evolved into just something that needed to happen. Everything was set up now, music ready to play from the band, food and drinks which he wouldn’t doubt would be spiked in no time. A long with many other magical things as well as party games. all he had to do now was wait both as people started to show up and the look on his families face. He was prepared to hide from the siblings who got upset of course.

June 27, 2025 It was a Friday night a few weeks after the accident at the Quidditch finals, and Friday had had the idea to hold a massive house party in the penthouse. As the eldest of her siblings, Monday felt that she had an obligation to put her brother's plans back into perspective. Some one hundred people, including the British Minister for Magic and some of their fellow Americans, had just been killed, and it didn't really feel appropriate to be going wild.
Along with the rest of their siblings, minus Friday, Monday had been out to dinner at a vegan restaurant. Unlike him and some of the others, she didn't completely hate the lifestyle in which they had been raised, though even she would have been lying if she had said that she stuck to it all of the time. Their parents—and their mother, especially—were still very into that sort of thing, and Monday had lived with it for her whole life.
The restaurant really hadn't been bad, though Monday was eager to get home. As she walked in the door, it was clear that Friday had done as much as possible to make the penthouse a party venue. He was really doing it. "Okay, please tell me you didn't invite the whole school…?" she questioned Friday, warily looking around at everything he'd set up while they were out.
@friday and anyone else!

Friday stood there proud at what he had created while he waiting for people to actually show up. It would be a rather weak party to celebrate summer and have some fun if no one showed. He doubted many would turn down the chance to have some fun, free food and drinks but who knew really. The door opened and he saw Monday walking in and he smirked slightly. She took a moment to look around the penthouse before speaking to him. All Friday could do was laugh at first. “Not the entire school. Just most.” Friday explained as he avoided inviting any student from the third year or lower. It seemed like a good cut off point to him. “So what do you think, have I helped change your mind, since it happened anyway. This is going to be great.” Friday explained, excited about what he thought this whole party would be like. That and for the reaction from the rest of his siblings.

Tuesday was locked up in his room, headphones on, and didn't even notice what was going on down below. He was reading Pride and Prejudice, which honestly wasn't his favorite but... here he was. He pulled off his headphones, finally, standing up to stretch in his high vaulted room. He heard... music? What was that? He grunted with annoyance and set his book aside, leaving his headphones around his neck and tucking his music player into the pocket of his sweats. He was wearing a sweatshirt too, ultimate comfort engaged. He came down the stairs and as he did his expression turned exasperated. upon seeing his siblings, he raised his eyebrow at Friday. "This was you, wasn't it," he sad flatly, crossing over toward Monday in an attempt to wrap his arms around her waist from behind. If she'd let him, he'd rest his chin on the top of her head as per usual. @friday monday meadow weekly

IT WAS NEWS WHEN A FAMILY AS LARGE AS THE Weekly's arrived in a wizarding community. Jimmie had heard from her father, because he knew everything, but she had not expected them to be so brazen. The news of a party circulated quickly, and normally Jimmie would give it a miss, but this was not a normal party. It was an opportunity. A way to find out anything and everything about a family named 'Weekly' and an opportunity to get out of her house, which had become incredibly cramped as of late.
Fending off another headache, Jimmie ran a self conscious hand down the front of her pinstripped shirt before she entered the large, lavish penthouse, a bottle of fizz-popping fruit wine. The alcohol content was pitiful, but it was quite expensive, as far as she'd been told when one of her great aunts had gifted it to her one year. She was stiff in posture as she entered the main room, still relatively quiet for a party. Then again, Jimmie had not come late. She was bang on time, eager to be out of the house.
"I'm not early am I?" She said awkwardly, the bottle hanging at her side, she brandished it as a last resort. The three mismatched strangers could have been anybody. They did not look related. "I brought booze." She held out the bottle, shaking it slightly, eager to be liberated from it. "It won't get you drunk, but it's supposed to make you dizzy." The music was pulsing, loud enough that she felt it in the back of her throat. "I'm Jimmie."

Thrusday wasn't in the mood to eat much today. The her siblings all decided to go out to eat, and she really wanted to stay behind, but then they would bring food back for her. The best thing to do was to order something small, and tasty. Eat some of it, then pick at the rest until they decided to go home. They all went, and luckily she was able to get away with it. At least no one mentioned it to her.
They arrived back at the penthouse to see that there was a party about to start. Friday had done it again. Thrusday wans't much of a party goer. As Monday and Friday conversed, Thrusday had half a mind to just run and hide in her room and play some video games. But then she saw it. The counter was filled. She really wasn't dressed for a party, so she rushed off to her room to change. She passed Tuesday who had staid home and hurried off.
She tossed a few things around her room, not really feeling like any of them were right for this kind of event. Maybe she should just stay in. She had sweets here. But then she would be depleting her own personal stash, while there was a perfectly good stash that she could add to her own. That was when she got the idea. She silently tiptoed to her brother Tuesday's room. He wouldn't mind. Coats? She rifled through his shirts until she found a good and long one. She stole the shirt, and took a few of the fluffier coats with her too. He wouldn't mind. If he really did, he'd know where to find them. Rushing back to her own room with her loot, she threw on the oversized shirt and tucked in the sleves so that it became a tanktop for Thrusday. All she needed was a belt to tie around her waist. After that, it was the perfect party outfit. Bearfeat, and short dress, Thursday quickly made her way to the counter, and started to help herself.

As Friday spoke with his sister Monday he noticed as Tuesday came down the stairs. Now that Tuesday was out of his room he could fill his room with coats. In fact if the enchantment placed by his graduate friend worked like it should, Tuesday room was filled with random coats the moment he left it. That would be a fun surprise and he wasn’t going to ruin it. Tuesday walked over to the both of them, saying this was all Friday’s doing. Which he wouldn’t be wrong. “I gave you all a chance to agree with me, most of you just decided not to. So I had to plan this all myself.” Friday joked, acting like he just had no other choice but to put on the party even with the family mostly saying no.
Someone else came through the front door of the penthouse and Friday was excited once again. Not because of who she was but mostly because she was the first not family guest to make it. Granted he wouldn’t say that out loud. It might have come off a little rude. The girl asked if she was early before waving a bottle of booze as she explained what it was. She offered her name as well, Friday didn’t know her name wise but did feel he knew her from The Gryffindor common room. “Hi Jimmie.” Friday greeted her with another smile. “I’m Friday and these are my siblings, Monday and Tuesday.” He introduced them by name and pointed at the person when he said their name so she would know who was who. Having names which were days was cool and all but it gave little to go on who was possibly who.
Friday took the bottle from the girl as it seemed from her movements of it she didn’t really want to be holding it all night. “I’ll go put this with the other drinks. Feel free to hang out with these sticks in the mud, follow me or just do whatever you like.” Friday left the newest guest to drop off the bottle of whatever the hell it was, he was too carefree to be worried it was something bad from a stranger. On his way he found Thursday coming down the stairs, having slipped in when he wasn’t looking and headed to the snack table. “Thursday!” He exclaimed for a moment as he got closer. “I knew if I put out a bunch of sweets I could lure you out.” Friday smiled, finally placing the bottle with the other drinks he had ready for guests.

June 27, 2025 Friday corrected her. He hadn't invited the entire school to the party, but he had invited most of the school. That could have meant anything from a dozen people that they happened to know to everyone but the first-years, and Monday could only hope that it was closer to the former. He asked if he had helped to change her mind, since he had kind of gone ahead with the party regardless.
The answer to that was not really, Monday thought to herself, though Tuesday came down from his bedroom just in time. "This was you, wasn't it," he stated to Friday. Whatever had happened while the rest of them had been out, it must have been… interesting.
As Tuesday approached her, Monday leaned into him slightly, glad that he had sense. "How was your book?" she asked him, trying to think through how they were supposed to handle this party without a brawl. Thursday had already dashed off.
In the meanwhile, a voice that Monday vaguely recognized spoke, though it wasn't one of her siblings. She looked at the door, where one of the other girls in her own House and grade level stood. She looked completely confused at the circumstances in which she had just found herself, which wasn't too surprising, though she mentioned that she had brought alcohol with her. "I'm Jimmie," she introduced herself.
Friday greeted her first, introducing himself—as well as her and Tuesday. "She's in our grade, Dorcus," Monday reminded him with a laugh, though Friday had already begun to run off with the alcohol. It wasn't as though Monday had actually spoken to Jimmie outside of class, but she knew who she was. "Welcome to our place, I guess?" Monday offered in Jimmie's direction. She didn't really want to have to play hostess all night, but she was right there.
Thursday ventured back out in a shirt that Monday immediately recognized as one of Tuesday's. She turned her head upwards to look at him and gave him a small smile. "Should I, uh, go get changed?"

THERE WAS A MOMENT WHERE SHE COULD HAVE simply disappeared and none of them would have noticed. And then the beat passed and they were forced to acknowledge her existence, or at least booze. Jimmie's brows pulled together as she regarded the ball of energy, his lazy hand pointing at his siblings. Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Jimmie hadn't expected this and she snorted, her eyes lighting up with intrigue.
The booze was taken from her hands and ushered away and she found herself muttering with sarcasm, "Where's Wednesday and Thursday..." And then Friday crowed happily that Thursday had indeed arrived, and Jimmie's mouth dropped open without tact. Her hand groped in the back pocket of her fitted trousers, pulling out a little notebook with a tiny little quill stuck in the binding. She was, after all, always working. "The days of the week..." She shook her head. "This is too good." And then she was playing with the end of the quill, ink swelling at one end expectantly. She was looking for a victim, anybody who would let her write all of this down.

June 27, 2025 Monday watched, unamused, as Jimmie pulled a notebook and quill from her pocket. She had heard it a million times before that their names were unusual or even laugh-out-loud funny, and she didn't appreciate it.
"The days of the week… This is too good."
Yeah, it was really cute, Monday thought to herself. She wasn't sure how far her eyes would roll into the back of her head, but they were awfully close to it. Almost eighteen years of those kinds of comments had made her tired of it. Those just happened to be their names, and it was no different for them than for anyone else. "Look, if you have a problem with us," she reminded Jimmie tensely, taking a step forward towards her, "you know you're more than welcome to leave." The door, after all, was right there, and she quickly gestured to it in case Jimmie had mysteriously forgotten. "I didn't realize our brother had invited the press to his little party," she acknowledged, "and I don't know who you think you are to waltz into our home like some… sleazy tabloid reporter, but you can get out right now if you think we're gonna put up with that sh*t."

CURIOSITY PIQUED JIMMIE'S FINGERS ITCHED TO take notes. It wasn't every day that a whole new family landed in the wizarding community and not only had a name like 'Weekly' but named their children accordingly. However, Jimmie didn't expect to be challenged so early. She reared back, her nose upturning as she gripped her notebook defiantly to her chest, her mouth dropping open at the harsh American onslaught. She looked undeniably affronted.
"I never said I had a problem with anybody," Jimmie retorted, her chin jutting forward as she stood her ground unmoving. She was just stubborn enough to stop herself from being afraid. She'd never been in a physical altercation before. Never had any reason to. "I've never met a family called 'Weekly' with names that are days of the week." She gestured with open hands, laughing boldly. Jimmie crossed her arms and sniffed, the notebook tucked under one arm.
"I work for the school newspaper, but I can quote you on that, if you'd like." She said stiffly, grinding her teeth as she flicked her sharp blonde hair over one shoulder. "But hey, you sound like you've dealt with bad publicity before." Jimmie lifted her brows brazenly. "I can leave if you're gonna call your lawyers." And then she snickered, like it was no big deal, like this was being blown out of proportion. She couldn't burn too many bridges before they'd even made it through summer, but the article was going to be written. Whether the angry american named 'Monday' liked it or not.

Saturday was 100% down with going to the vegan restaurant that night, even if he had forgotten it was happening until his sister knocked on his door and woke him up on their way out of the penthouse. He loved vegan food. He appreciated the lifestyle that his parents lived and tried to have their kids live. But being a werewolf, he didn’t suit the lifestyle well. He still did his best, though. And he was more than excited to spend the evening filling himself up on carbs and vegetables with his siblings. It was almost like being at home with their mom's cooking. She wasn’t the best chief, but Saturday would eat anything.
When they arrived back at the house, he was ready to go crawl back into his bed and smoke a joint, but it seemed his brother had other plans. They walked into a party happening in the penthouse. Saturday smiled a bit, this could be fun. It didn’t really change his plans either, who said he couldn’t smoke during a party? He was about to walk into his bedroom to get his own party started when he heard Monday raise her voice. “Mo, come on. Just forgot it. Everyone laughs at our names. We laugh at our names.” it was absolutely ridiculous that they were named after the days of the week, it was something they were all used to, but that didn’t change much, especially for those who had grown up with other names. Instead of leaving to his room like he planned, he followed Thursday over to the drinks. Getting cross-faded never hurt. Plus, he could imagine she wasn’t keen on the goings-on.

As Thursday rejoined the party space she crossed paths with Friday. He seemed excited to see her coming down again. She smiled, but her greeting was lost when she really got a good look at what was there. “I knew if I put out a bunch of sweets I could lure you out.” He was right "You know me too well Knight" She moved and gave her brother a thank you hug before diving at the counter. The first she saw were the blood lollipops and she gasped "You are the best!" She should have worn something with pockets. But she slid one of the lollipop sticks on the top of her ear so that it would stick there as she grabbed a cupcake and immediately started to devour it.
Unaware of the drama happening else where, Thursday fave a chocolate smile at Saturday as he walked over "Hey Sat. Want some" She offered the untouched pastie that was in one of her hands. Maybe she should grab a plate. In all honesty, she didn't intend to stay for too long, but she would have her fill first. Her plan was to eat, then escape to her room for some video games. But then she saw it. A the glorious item in the center. But she would wait. If she pretended that it didn't exist, maybe she could find a way to smuggle it back to her room.

June 27, 2025 "I never said I had a problem with anybody," Jimmie clarified, though it was a little too late for that to be of much use. "I've never met a family called 'Weekly' with names that are days of the week." Yeah, her and the rest of magical Britain, Monday thought, though there were also plenty of people who were perfectly cool with their names' uniqueness.
"I work for the school newspaper," Jimmie added, "but I can quote you on that, if you'd like." What was she going to do with that information over the summer? Duplicate hundreds of pamphlets and send them by owl? Monday could already see the headline. "But hey, you sound like you've dealt with bad publicity before."
"Mo, come on," Monday could hear Saturday chime in, telling her to drop the subject. They laughed at their own names, but that was amongst themselves. Given the fact that there weren't many other people around with their same names, they had a tendency to interchange their first and middle names when they had to—it was easier than explaining their entire lives to strangers, especially when some of her siblings had had other names previously.
"I can leave if you're gonna call your lawyers," Jimmie continued to mock her, laughing.
Monday felt her blood boiling beneath her skin as Jimmie snickered. It was one thing to laugh with her siblings for their parents' very "Hollywood" choice of names, but they weren't the ones who had asked to be named after the days of the week—plus a No-Maj scientist, for good measure. Boldly, and without looking back at her siblings' reactions, she took another step towards Jimmie. "I don't have to call a lawyer to do this," she pointed out, launching a right hook at Jimmie's face.

Friday barely gave anyone a chance to be in on the party, as far as Tuesday was concerned. He pressed his chin onto Mondays head as she asked how his book was. "Wonderful, of course," he answered softly. Books were precious to him, and therefore he treated them with care, even in discussion. As the first guest arrived, Tuesday rolled his eyes and stayed in his place. He didn't really feel the need to greet Jimmie, not in a malicious way, but just because he didn't think it was necessary. Then, OF COURSE, Thursday showed up wearing one of his shirts and a belt. He grinned, offering her a little wave as she made her way to the counter to start snacking and whatnot. "Looks good, kid," he called over as other conversations were happening. Her and Jimmie started... something. He stayed behind Monday, but not pressed against her anymore. It got to a point where Saturday tried to step in, but Tuesday knew how stubborn Mon could be. As Monday took a step forward, so did Tuesday, stills standing directly behind her. As Mondays fist launched forward, Tuesday caught her wrist with one hand and wrapped his other arm around her waist to gentle lift her off her feet and pull her one step back. "Let's go get a drink, MnM," he muttered softly, calmly. monday meadow weekly
