Thursday wasn't much of a party girl, but Friday had known the right thing to do to get her to stay out. The party was now in full swing, and many people were there. There were some that she recognized, and some that she didn't. She wasn't much into socializing at big events, so she safely found herself in a corner, close to where the food was. She had a blood lollipop tucked into her ear as she munched on a chocolate cauldron cake. This was good. She would need a plan. A plan to take a good amount of the sweets, without being noticed by everyone else, and get it back up to her room, or further away from the people. They were eating it all. She wanted to save some of it for herself....for later. Was it selfish. Yes. Did she feel bad about stealing from Friday's part that he should have had in the first place. No.
The girl was very good at not being noticed, she was a soft walker, and with no shoes on her feet, if was doubly so. She had scared a decent number of her siblings before. She could get back and forth without noticing, but it was really hard to do that with a cake. This beauty sat further in, and was practically untouched. The beautiful tower sat two tiers tall and was covered in the richest chocolate frosting that you could imagine. She knew. She had already had a slice of cake. It was to share, so it was no wonder that others were already digging in. But she wished that there was a way to smuggle it away. Maybe Saturday could help her. But she knew that a werewolf that was high as a kite, wasn't necessarily the best for stealth, and they might drop the cake, which would be worse than just leaving it there. Thursday hadn't eaten too much, that day, and she really was hungry....now that there were sweets.
She finished what was on the plate and took the lollipop from her ear and started to suck on it, contemplating. She crossed her free arm across her small slender body, covering the belt and part of the band insignia on the over sized shirt that she was currently using as a dress. How would she do it. The Ravenclaw had already had many ideas, most of which led to her being discovered by a sibling who would not approve, or the cake getting taken from her or destroyed.
That was when someone came up to talk to her. She jumped a little bit and looked to see who it was. So that's what that felt like.

▲ This party was absolutely bumping! Steve had made appearances at a few of the secret parties held at Hogwarts the previous year, but this was the first out of school one he had made his way into since arriving in the UK. There had to be some irony here too, where the hosts were a motley crew of American witches and wizards: he wasn’t a stranger to the Weekly family, but at the same time found them all completely fascinating. They were all freaks like him and Nora, to a degree, and he had missed out on really getting to know any of them during the school year. Being the outsider amongst the outsiders really put a stop to that, and Steve found that he had to do more explaining about where he was from, than actually have a meaningful conversation with anyone. The amount of people that had never heard of the Lake Memphremagog magical community in Canada was baffling, let alone even knowing where or what Quebec was in Canada. But that was then and this was now, and he had spent the early part of the night making his way to familiar faces and chatting up anyone that was willing to lend an ear. A few drinks and a lot of cookies later, and Steve found himself trying to hunt his sister down, wherever she may have disappeared to. Knowing Nora, she was probably trying to get someone to lift her up onto a ledge she could hang off of and show off from. There wasn’t really a crowd formed anywhere to indicate that she was the center of attention, so he turned around to head back to the dessert table again. That’s when he smelled it. Even with everything in the air right now, the hint of blood was just strong enough that it made him turn his head, where a tiny girl only a few feet away from him was standing with a blood lollipop in her mouth. Instinct had him closing the gap immediately. “Where do they have those hidden?” Steve asked her, eyes flicking between the lollipop and the dessert table. A real blood pop wasn’t going to be standard fare at a normal party, so either this was the girl’s own supply or they were somewhere hidden so the average person wouldn’t be subjected to type-whatever blood. @thursday ● 395 ● Don't Forget Me by Red Hot Chili Peppers MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Thursday was startled, by someone talking to her. That was what she got for hyper focusing on that cake. She looked at a tall boy who had asked about the lollipop in her mouth she guessed. He had to be part vampire, she could see the desire in his eyes. She pulled it of her mouth, holding it in her hand and smiled "Friday had them out, I hid them so that none of them would go to wast by some drunk or high idiot trying them." She pushed off from her safe space and walked to the table, crouching down and opening one of the cabinets that were under the counter. There was a stash of blood lollipops, with a few cauldron cakes, chocolate frogs, along with a few plates of pies and pastries that the girl had manage to stash away. She pulled a blood lollipop from a box that they were in and she backed up, closing the door to her hiding place. She walked back over to the boy and handed it to him. "If you want more, your free to them." She licked the bloody sweet thing.
She stuck out her hand "I'm Thursday, by the way" She wasn't big into parties, but it was quite rare for her to find someone like her. Even though all her siblings were different (in their own ways) it was nice to know that there were people like her.

▲ Steve didn’t mean to glare when she pulled the lollipop out of her mouth to talk, but when it was literally the only thing at the entire party that would actually taste good to him, it was impossible not to stare. She said that Friday had them stashed somewhere, and Steve sort of understood what she meant by that. Friday was in Gryffindor, and he was sure that they had talked before. Following her like the lost little half-vampire puppy he was, Steve stopped a few feet away to allow her to dig into her stash. Where on earth had this girl been all last year? Steve was almost positive that he knew all the vampire kids at Hogwarts, but a new one always popped up now and again and it was always a surprise to him. He liked comparing notes with all of them and sharing his own weird adventures that he and Nora were always going on together. Some of the other half-vampire kids even had special powers, like Zen! Apparently this girl’s secret power was having a decently sized stash of blood lollipops all to herself. She returned with a lollipop for him, and Steve took it, nodding his head to show that he understood her offer to more if he wanted them. “Thanks. Steve Kolstad. And my sister Nora is somewhere around here too,” he said as he shook her hand. So she was Thursday Weekly, one of the family members he hadn’t met yet. That made a lot more sense now that he could put a name to the face. “So this is your party then? Definitely didn’t think I’d run into any other halfies tonight.” Unwrapping the lollipop, he jammed it into his mouth, the sweet relief hitting him immediately. He hated consuming blood until it was packaged into the lollipops. Something about it being candy and healthy made him enjoy it more than chowing down on a blood pack. “These are honestly the best. If I could live just off them, I would.”@thursday ● 340 ● I Could Have Lied by Red Hot Chili Peppers MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Thursday would normal be weary of someone being so vague, and obviously wanting something from her. But it became more and more obvious that he was part vampire, as he obsessively staider at the lollipop in her hand. She moved to the cabinet where she had stashed the lollipops, along with some other sweets she had stolen from the party guests. Their parents were very well off. And Friday had specifically stated that he got a surplus of sweets for her. In all actuality, it was to lure her away form her video games and programming in her room. And it had worked.
He introduced himself and mentioned his sister. Were they both part vampires? She smiled as they shook hands. "That's great. I'm sure you can guess most the names of my siblings. Their all around somewhere." Honestly, she could probably pinpoint the locations of most of her siblings. “So this is your party then? Definitely didn’t think I’d run into any other halfies tonight.” He said and she laughed "Well it's Friday's party. He did all the stuff himself. Well, probably not himself, but he's resourceful." She made another glance at the cake that she had been staring at "I'm not too much of a party person myself, but..." She gave a shy smile. She was here for the sweets. As far as it went for "halfies" she could count a number of other halfies in the area, namely her siblings, but she was sure that he was just meaning vampire "halfies"...so, she wouldn't correct him. She placed the lollipop back in her mouth to suck on it some more. She knew that there were some blood packs in the fridge, but something about seeing a pint of real blood being sucked up by a child sized girl just seemed to ruin peoples appetites. Speaking form personal experience. Her siblings were cool about it, but it was others that tended to have a problem with it.
“These are honestly the best. If I could live just off them, I would.” Thursday shook her head. "If I could live off of sugary sweets, pastries, and baked goods I would." Much to their vegan mother's chagrin, Thursday didn't hold to vegan friendly sweet options. She gave a wide smile at the boy. It was great that she was right. She hadn't had a close interaction with another half vampire before.

▲ Learning the days of the week in the Weekly household had to have been easy. Steve kept that to himself though, and had to briefly look away so that the stifled chuckle could come out as a small smile. He had learned a lot about wizarding culture in the last year, and the naming conventions were ridiculously out there with some of his classmates. And here he thought Jimmie Blishwick was the strangest of them all, being named after an alcohol. The Weeklys were on a whole different level from that. They wore their names with pride though, so he had to give them that. “I’ve been to my fair share in the last few years. They always end up being the same by the end. You’re not really missing much,” Steve said truthfully. The ones that left early would always be like that, and those that stuck to the end were almost always sloppily flailing around. Steve was positive that he had perfected the art of balancing drinks and socializing. The more he talked, the less he drank. But nobody would second guess if he held a cup in his hand and took a sip every now and then though, and that was his way of maintaining his head. Thursday added onto his bit by saying she would only want sugary foods. “From the looks of it, you’ll have a lot left over by the end of this,” Steve commented, staring across the room to the dessert table he had stationed himself at earlier in the night. There were still a few things untouched, but knowing most parties, that wouldn’t last long. “What do you recommend?” he asked her, pointing at the table. “I’ve sampled the cookies so far, but cookies are cookies. And I’m pretty sure the brownies next to them are the special kind…” He had yet to test them, but watching the partygoers attracted to them was enough to tell him they were a little more than the regular ingredients. @thursday ● 334 ● Land of the Living by Roo Panes MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Steve stated that he had gone to quite a few parties over some time, and said that she wasn't missing out. Thursday laughed. "Don't let Friday here you say that. You might be the second person to get hit tonight" She said it in a teasing manner. She had heard, a little late, that Monday had punched some girl around when the party just started to pick up.
She fantasized about only eating sweets for the rest of her days, and it sounded heavenly. “From the looks of it, you’ll have a lot left over by the end of this,” She gave a worried glance to the entrance, or rather as much of the entrance that she could see from her angle...and height. It seemed like there were always new faces. "Here's hopping" She knew that she had a stash, in her room, and under the counter, but it was hard to satisfy her sweet tooth.
She followed his eyes to the deserts. Dang, that cake had another piece missing, and it was a big one! How dare someone......eat a cake that was available for everyone. She really had a problem. That was when he said the magic words “What do you recommend?” He then went on to talk about what he had tried, and pointed out a mysterious plate of brownies, that hadn't been there all night. Probably one of Saturday's friends. But that didn't matter. She whipped her head back to look up at him with a wide mischievous smile. "Well, the Cauldron cakes are always one of my favorites." She had to be cautious, but she was hoping that a fellow half vampire would understand. "But in all honesty, the best thing over there is that two tiered tower of chocolate cake." She glanced back at it longingly, then back at him. "Honestly, I would have been gone long ago, if only I could get it safely away." She gave him a special kind of puppy dog eyes, one that she usually reserved for her parents or older siblings when she really wanted something, usually sweets related.

▲ People were getting into fights here? Steve looked around him, despite knowing there hadn’t been an all-out brawl since he showed up, but was still curious to find out what exactly caused that. So far everything seemed chilled out and fun. There always had to be that one person that caused a ruckus though. Usually it was Nora, but tonight she had seemed to be more on the tamer side. Plus, even if he did get clocked at any point during the party, his partner in crime would go feral on them. Even Steve feared his sister at times. He was the talker and she was the action. “I’m not too worried,” Steve said as he turned his attention back on to Thursday. “This one is already getting better.” He shoved the lollipop back into his mouth as she said that she was hoping there would be leftovers from the dessert table. That was always the optimal outcome, wasn’t it? Leftover food was great for the hosts, sure, but these hosts were like, millionaires or something, if the rumors were to be believed. Thursday had said it herself that she wanted there to be sweets left, so she was one of however many Weeklys there were that would keep some. The rest though? From the ones Steve sort of knew about, they definitely gave him the feeling that it would all end up in the trash at the end. He had no problem holding his sister here long enough so they could steal some late night snacks for the walk home. Apparently Thursday had a target on the dessert table, but had yet to put together a plan of attack. The two-tiered chocolate cake. Admittedly, it was a thing of beauty. And she wanted to make off with it like a bandit. Steve contemplated her musing while he twirled the remainder of the blood pop around in his mouth. “I can be the distraction,” Steve offered before he even saw the look that she was giving him. Apparently they were on the same wavelength here. “But I get a decent sized chunk of it. And another blood lollipop after it. Just tell me where to meet you once you get it.” Running a distraction was easy enough, but he had to make sure he got everything he wanted out of it too. Making himself look like an idiot for someone else came with a price. A giant slice of chocolate cake was good enough for him. @thursday ● 416 ● So Far Away by Avenged Sevenfold MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Thursday wasn't phased by fights breaking out. She lived with seven other siblings, and all eight of them were between teh ages of fifteen and seventeen. There were fights. And if not with each other, some of her siblings were predisposed to fighting more than others. She gave a shy smile as he looked at her and said that it was getting better. She shouldn't had acted that way, it wasn't because of her, right? Was he flirting? Should she flirt back? "Oh, um...yea"She was really bad in these situations. By the time Thursday thought of something better to say...the moment had already passed.
Thursday's fear that there wouldn't be any left overs was defiantly apparent, if one thought about her stash. She had spent a good portion of the start of the party, lingering there. Once she was sure no one was looking, she would stash what she could away. So, she would either have to hope that no one found the hidden snacks, or stay and guard them all night. She preferred the former. She did have a personal stash, and she knew where all the good sweet shops were from here to Diagon Alley.
The small amount of remaining blood lollipop that Thursday had was all but forgotten, now that she perhaps had a partner that could assist her in stealing her prize. But she shouldn't get her hopes too high. She could always go find Tuesday and give him the puppy dog eyes, as long as he and Mo weren't off on their own. She watched her new friend as he thought. Please agree. she begged, internally. “I can be the distraction,” Her face morphed from begging to delighted in almost no time. The ear to ear smile only grew as he gave his demands. "I'll do you one better." She moved to a drawer and pulled out two metal forks. Then, like a dance, she moved gracefully and silently slid the drawer closed and twirled around to her hidden cabinet. Taking the box out, then returning to him "Bring the box, and we share both it and the cake" She showed the forks and offered the box to him. "I'll take the cake up those stairs" She motioned to an area that didn't seem too populated. It lead to their rooms, which Friday was nice enough to lock for them. "Go all they way down the hall, I'll be at the end." She looked back to him, unable to stop smiling "Deal?" She had thought this through.

▲ The plan was sort of set. All Steve had to do was come up with the perfect distraction so Thursday could sneak away with the goods. As he thought it over, he watched her pull two forks out of a drawer and then produce, what looked to be the cake box, from another cupboard. She then laid out her half of the plan, detailing how she would go upstairs after snagging the goods. All he had to do was go to the end of the hallway up there once he was done with his part of the mission. “Sounds like a deal to me,” Steve nodded his head, grinning back at her. “See you in a few then.” Sliding around the kitchen island, Steve weaved himself closer to the dessert table. His first step in the plan was to get people to back away from the entire table and give Thursday ample space to do her thing. If he had been the one doing the snatch and grab, he would have just manhandled the cake and made a run for it. But they were trying to get as much as possible, so that wouldn’t have worked. Still holding his drink cup in his hand, he purposely spilled it on the table, close to where the cake was. “Whoops!” he yelled loudly, exaggerating it with comedic effect and bobbling the solo cup around until it clattered onto the ground and rolled under the table. He quickly pushed the cake to the other side of the table, trying to get it as close to Thursday as possible, before spinning around to face the few people that were now eyeing him suspiciously. “Sorry, I just ran into you man,” Steve said to the closest person to him. He looked vaguely familiar. Also looked kind of like a rock star from the way he was dressed. “Wait…you play in that band, don’t you?” Steve slapped an arm around the guy, trying to draw all attention onto him now. “Think you can sing one of your songs for these ladies?” He glanced over his shoulder briefly to see if the cake had made its exit yet, before giving the guy a soft punch in the shoulder to see if he would play along. He agreed to her plan and it seemed like her smile would never leave her face again. “See you in a few then.” And just like that, she was off. Thursday crouched down so that she wouldn't be as noticed as she got into place to snag the cake. She felt like a bandit. Getting ready to steal the the treasure of all treasure. The other boy moved smoothly, while she waited, she moved an almost empty tin of pie into her secret cupboard, better safe than sorry.
“Whoops!” he said as he purposely spilled his drink. He slid the cake over to her side. She waited until the onlookers were distracted with him, and just like that, she pulled two tiered masterpiece off the table and got a good grip on it. There wasn't no point in doing this if the cake was going to end up on Tuesday's shirt, or worse...the floor. She took a keep breath and readied herself for the detraction to start. As soon as she saw the attention slipping from the table to the boy, Thursday took off. She was blessed with a soft step, and the loud music guaranteed that no one would hear her, but someone would probably see her. But that was what her height was for. It was easy not to be noticed in a crowd.
Up the stairs Thursday flew and down the hall way. Luckily there weren't many people there. She moved to the end and set the cake down. The floor felt cold to her bare legs. Thursday looked down the hall, and didn't see the boy coming yet, so she quickly slipped into Tuesday's room again and grabbed a nice large jacket and pulled it to the end of the hall. Setting it up, like a blanket, she put the cake on it and waited for the Steve to join her.

▲ The cake was gone! Steve didn’t think she was going to be that quick, but apparently he had misjudged her. Of all the other half-vampires he had run into, it was starting to seem like only him and Nora were of the loud, obnoxious sort. The rest tended to be light-footed and sneaky. Apparently the Kolstads were doing it all wrong. “Well, great talking to you again, friend,” Steve patted the guy’s shoulder. “Ladies, don’t go easy on him.” And off Steve went, departing his new friends and around the dessert table, back to the kitchen side. Thursday wasn’t there either, so he assumed she made it upstairs, quickly checking the cupboard where she had been hiding her other snacks just in case she had hidden there instead. She seemed the type to hide in cupboards, and was definitely small enough to pull it off. Content that his part of the plan went off without a hitch, and maybe to his bait’s advantage as well, Steve skipped over to the stairs and crept up them slowly, so as not to draw any more attention to himself. It looked like the party had returned to normal by now, so he climbed the last few steps and went down the hallway, spotting Thursday stationed at the end of it just like she said she would be. “We’re going to eat it right here in the middle of the hallway?” he asked, looking back down to where he had just walked from, noting that there were a few people quietly talking on the other end. “Good job though. I didn’t even see you run off with it. I had no idea who that guy was, but he seemed to like the attention I left him with.” Steve shrugged and then took a seat on the floor across from Thursday. He was hoping his body would at least block the cake from the rest of the people in the hallway. “So partner, I think you get the first bite. Running off with the cake was infinitely more difficult than me just being me as the distraction.”@thursday ● 352 ● You Missed My Heart by Phoebe Bridgers MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Thursday was not one to mess around when it came to sweets. Her light footed nature came in handy as she stole the cake. She was careful not to scar any of her siblings with her gift, but this was a big party, with loud music. She was not going to be heard.
It really didn't take long for her to see Steve creeping up the steps. Their plan had fully worked. “We’re going to eat it right here in the middle of the hallway?” She shrugged and sat against the wall, sticking her legs out in front of her "We could hide in my room if you really want, You allergic to Cats or cat like creatures?" She knew her Kneazle Bast was in her room, probably happy to not be around the party goers. Thursday laughed as Steve mentioned how well the plan had gone off. "Thanks. That was a good distraction on your part"
Thursday did not need to be told twice about digging in. She moved the second fork closer to him and stabbed the cake with her own. Moving the forkful of cake and frosting to her mouth she smiled "Totally worth it too." She grinned with delight as the first bite went down. It was heavenly. "I don't think I could have gotten away with it if you didn't help."

▲ She had a cat-like beast in her room? Steve was more interested in that than he was the cake now. There had been a lot less wildlife in his life after moving to London last year, and an animal of any sort was cool with him. “I used to try and wrestle mountain lions back home,” he stated as if it was an impressive fact, when he knew that it was incredibly stupid to do that. “They usually ran away though. Big scaredy cats, all of them.” It was better that he didn’t get mauled by a big cat though. What would he have done if his hair was damaged? Magically repairing the epic poof of hair on his head would get rid of its all natural charm. “The best way to sell a distractions is acting like you really mean it. Pretty sure that guy was actually famous, so it worked out.” And if he wasn’t? It didn’t really matter because every person that turned their attention on Steve was one less person that was paying attention to the cake. Anyone that did see the heist in action would probably find it funny and keep their lips zipped. That was how it worked at parties. Plus Thursday was a host, nobody in their right mind would come up to her now and tell her to return the cake. It was almost easier to go out and buy another one at this point. By this point, Thursday had pushed the second fork over to Steve and he picked it up, watching her dive into the cake first before following her lead. He wasn’t huge on chocolate on chocolate, but there was something about this cake that tickled his taste buds in all the right ways. Maybe it was because they stole it. The thrill and adrenaline only amped up the flavor. “Yeah…” he tried to respond through a mouthful of cake, “…those normies don’t deserve it. They can’t appreciate it when they’re drunk.” He swallowed and immediately went in for a second bite. @thursday ● 343 ● The Middle by Jimmy Eat World MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Mountain lions? Really? This guy was more interesting by the minute. She obviously would never try to do something like that, but it was intriguing. It wasn't a smart thing, but Thursday was still impressed. "She laughed when he mentioned that they would usually just run away."
She nodded and thought about how what he said about a good detraction, she probably would not be able to pull one off. Not that she was lacking in confidence, it's just that she lacked the confidence to pull something like that off. This party wasn't really hers, even if she agreed to having it. But the only person who would be able to tell her to put it, and any of the other sweets she had hidden, back would be one of her siblings. But they knew better than anyone else at the party how strong her sweet tooth was. No one would be surprised by her actions.
“…those normies don’t deserve it. They can’t appreciate it when they’re drunk.” Thursday laughed. Thinking back to the pie that she shared with Saturday on one of her bad days. They both enjoyed it, but it was much better to enjoy something this decadent, being completely sober. Some people started to sit up on the stairs and Thursday moved. "I think you're right. Let's move where we can't be spotted." She stood up and opened a near by door, instantly scooping up a dark furred Kneazle. She turned to face her new friend. "Steve, this is Bast." She fully opened her door and looked a the cake "Could you grab the cake?" She asked as she entered and placed Bast on her heightened bed.
Her room wasn't that dirty, but not entirely clean. She didn't mind. There were a threw extra large coats on the floor where she had dropped them, and her bed about four feet high, making it easy to a normal size person to jump up on it, Luckily their was a tall bedside table, with a shelf at just the right size to use as a stool up onto the only sitting surface. She climbed up. Her large bed was filled with pillows, and blankets, with a few stuffed animals, and on the furthest wall from her bed, there was a large TV with a number of game consoles attached to it. She crawled up on her bed and patted it. "Make yourself comfortable."
