▲ Steve had always assumed that generating laughs was his sole purpose in life. Whether or not that was because he had hundreds of stories of putting said life on the line to get those all depended on how stupid he was deciding to be that day or if his sister was involved as well. The mountain lion encounters were usually solo adventures, and while laughable in retrospect, he knew he was no match for the beast if it really wanted to throw down with him. He wasn’t nearly equipped enough in spells to scare it off without hurting or killing it, and any less than that would mean he would be gravely injured at the very least. “Yeah…I wouldn’t actually recommend that unless you bring your whole family along. Especially the really big guy.” What day of the week was he again? There was movement from the stairwell area of the hallway, and Thursday stood up and went through a door, telling him to grab the cake so they could move somewhere else with it. Not exactly averse to going somewhere quieter and more private with their spoils, Steve silently thanked the people hobbling up the stairs and scooped up the cake as he followed Thursday into what he assumed was her bedroom. “Hello Bast.,” he said giving the cat (kneazle?) thing a scratch on the head. “You look like you have the spirit of a mountain lion. Maybe I should be more careful tonight,” Steve chuckled as he squeezed past the door. The room itself looked like it was set up so Thursday could stay inside as long as she wanted to. Once upon a time, Steve had hoped for the same: black-out curtains with nothing but every video game and movie in the world, and a lock on his side of the door to keep Nora out. But that was impossible when they were so ingrained in nature up in the middle of Nowhere, Canada. “This looks cozy,” he commented as he set the cake on the table next to the bed, before struggling to push himself up onto it. Why was it set so high? After a few seconds of struggling to swing his legs up, Steve eventually managed to roll his shoulders around, pushing himself deeper into the monstrous bed and eventually dragging his legs up with him. “I see why you use the nightstand to climb up. Jesus that’s difficult. I think I need another bite of that cake.” But instead of retrieving his fork and cake, he stayed on his back in what he assumed was the middle of the bed, arms splayed out to his sides. “But in a second…” he mumbled as he decided to recover the little bit of energy he had just expended. @thursday ● 463 ● Satan Prayer by Ghost MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

“Yeah…I wouldn’t actually recommend that unless you bring your whole family along. Especially the really big guy.” Thursday couldn't help but laugh. Was he talking about Tuesday? He was as much of a book worm, and a teddy bear as anyone else could be here. But maybe that was her personal experience. She was sure that he could and wold if anyone was in real danger, but she just couldn't see it. But it she went into that, she would have to talk about her bad times, which was a subject she really wanted to avoid, especially now that she was having such a good time.
She opened her door and scooped up Bast, introducing her to her new friend. He greeted her and mentioned being careful around the creature. Thursday laughed again "Maybe you should" She said a little flirtatiously. She regretted it almost right after saying it. It just felt so awkward. She knew normal teens her age enjoyed heavy flirting, and it often to led to other things, that Thursday found that she just wasn't interested in. But she also felt that not many boys would feel the same way.
She entered her room, and watched from her perch on he bed as the boy looked around. “This looks cozy,” was that a good thing? Her room was a gamers dream, she knew. And the place where her personal sweet stash was, was still closed, but it definitely added to the appeal for her.
She watched as Steve struggled to pull himself up. It was a bit higher than normal beds were. She liked it that way. “I see why you use the nightstand to climb up." She nodded "It's the only way I can get up here." After he rolled up. she grabbed the cake and pulled set it between them. She didn't mind getting anything on her bed cover, she'd just ask one of her older siblings to clean it with magic after the party. She had a feeling that there was going to be a lot of that going on afterwords. She let him lay there as she pulled Bast up onto her lap and took a bite herself. "Take all the time that you need" Her bed was quite comfortable, that's one thing that made it so easy to not leave it.

▲ Steve had whipped his head around when Thursday agreed that he should be careful, making eye contact with Bast, the cat-thing. He definitely seemed like he was the main boss of Thursday’s room, always watching over it and only letting Steve pass because he had been scooped up by his owner on the way in. “Maybe I should,” Steve repeated, still maintaining his staring contest with Bast. He had no idea if he could defeat the creature in that, but he did know that the introduction of the cake on the bed was the true evil in all of this. Thursday was digging in again, and Steve took that time to pull himself all the way up onto the bed, regaining enough energy to pick up his fork and take a bite as well. “So based on the way you flawlessly executed the cake heist and tactically retreated to your room, this must be the best hideout ever,” Steve commented as he looked around the room again now that his eyes had adjusted to the light. “Are you more into movies or video games?” he asked, though it seemed to be more of the latter, which he could totally get behind. There were definitely a couple of consoles he didn’t recognize too, which screamed collector. Considering the size of the apartment the family had and the lack of parental advisory, Steve didn’t need to ask too many questions. They had been answered hours ago when he showed up at the party. "Show me your favorite," Steve added through another mouthful of cake, interested to see what her choice would be. @thursday ● 270 ● Something by Julien Baker MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Thursday never thought of Bast as a danger to her or others. But the creature was quite smart, and really helped her on her bad days. The sweet creature really helped her out, especially during the school year when she didn't have close access to her siblings. Though, she had never thought about she would react if someone got physically close to Thursday.
Thursday settled on her bed with the Kneazle on her lap and taking bites of the cake, she waited for Steve to regain his strength after climbing up on her bed. It didn't take long for him to pick up his fork and continue in sharing the cake.
He mentioned that her room must have been the best hideout and she laughed. "That it is. Honestly the sweets were the only thing that got me out into the party for as long as I was there" Which she realized hadn't been a very long time. Her brother Friday definitely knew how to keep her from hiding in her room. For a time.
“Are you more into movies or video games?” She glanced to the large television mounted on the wall, with a number of gaming systems and blushed a little bit. "Definitely games. Though movies are great background notice when I'm working on scripting." She took another bite of cake and stroked Bast as she did. She defiantly was a video game girl. "Show me your favorite," She thought for a moment, which was her favorite "I guess my favorite would depend on my mood. And if I wanted to play online or not. If not online, I'd say Horizon or the Kingdom Hearts games." She set the creature aside and crawled down, turning on a PlayStation console and grabbing two controllers. Crawling back up onto the bed, the only sound that was made, was the sound of the console activating. "But we can play a multi player game if you want." She enjoyed playing video games with people, it was one of her favorite ways to socialize. But she hadn't done it too often lately, if you didn't count playing online.

▲ Steve couldn’t argue when it came to dipping into the sweets. His parents had held plenty of holiday parties where he and Nora were supposed to be on their best behavior, tempted with candies and high-sugar content sodas if they did their best. Having that as a motivating factor definitely helped in keeping him where he needed to be. There were also plenty of times where he grabbed what he needed and ran off with it, back to his room like Thursday had done, or out into the woods behind their old house. Not too many creatures out there were keen on messing with him. He was positive they could sense the vampire in him. Clearly Thursday’s pet was used to it, because he had barely given Steve a second look once his owner was in the room. Being given the cold shoulder hurt his feelings only momentarily, as everything was better with the next bite of cake he had. He watched Thursday hop down and start to move around one of the game consoles, turning it on before hopping back up on the bed and handing him a controller. “Sure! Can’t promise I’ll be any good at whatever it is. We only had Mario Kart at home.” And Nora always beat him in it. She barely even played the game, and was still better than him at it. As for the other games Thursday had listed off, he had heard of one of them, but couldn’t really picture the other. He was pretty sure they were older, by game standards, but that only made sense if they quality games. Since she was apparently a collector, obviously she had the best of the best. @thursday ● 284 ● Moon's Tear - Remixed by Theophany MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Bast was an excellent companion for Thursday. The creature was perfect at knowing when she needed extra attention. They had done what they could to train the creature, yes, but there was an instinctive love that Thursday felt from the beast. It was as if the creature had adopted her as a kitten.
Thursday navigated the ups and downs of her room like a pro. It was her room after all. She could get up and down from her raised bed no problem. She was small, quick and quiet. This came naturally. Also, she had always loved heights. After turning things on, and bringing the controls up to her bed, She settled down again, the and the Kneazle found her way back onto Thursday. “Sure! Can’t promise I’ll be any good at whatever it is. We only had Mario Kart at home.” She gave a chuckle. "I have a party game similar to that if you'd like to play that." She said as the television came to life, and the console started to wake up.

▲ A party game was definitely preferable. Whether it was one of the ones where they’d play mini games against each other to see who the best was, or a racing game, Steve was positive that he’d have a better chance at winning, or at the very least, having fun while playing. The single player games always left someone watching while the other played, and that never worked between him and Nora. If he was playing, she was poking and pestering him until it was her turn, and vice-versa. He had a feeling it was probably the same with Thursday with that many siblings. Probably also why she had everything safely stashed in her bedroom, away from the rest of the family. Steve unfortunately had never had that luck, both in Canada or in London. And definitely not in the Gryffindor dorms. Even at school Nora still found a way to get to him in his dorm, because why wouldn’t she? “Yeah that will probably be more enjoyable for both of us,” he laughed as he watched Thursday climb around the room without missing a step. And here he had struggled to climb onto the bed! “I wish I had the space to have a collection like this,” Steve sighed, falling back on to the bed, his eyes still not fully focused in the dark room. “I think the most I have of anything is baseball cards. But I just keep them in a shoe box.” He had even brought them to Hogwarts with him, assuming some of the Ilvermorny kids would understand his hobby, and while some did, there were still plenty of odd looks when he tried showing off his cards. Apparently non-moving pictures was weird, and they couldn’t understand why a half-vampire would like a game played outside, and mostly during the day. @thursday ● 305 ● Song by Artist MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Thursday understood that she was lucky, and maybe a bit spoiled. Her and her siblings usually got what they wanted, while simply having to tolerate their mothers fad crazy mind. It was a good trade off, if you asked Thursday.
“Yeah that will probably be more enjoyable for both of us,” with the agreement, the girl hopped off her bed and moved through the room like a cat. This was her world. He commented her on the collection that she had in her room. She moved up on her bed, as smoothly as she did previously. "I've always been more attracted to games." She shrugged. "Some of them, I like to call 'research'" She laughed, but afraid that he wouldn't understand she added, "I'm actually working on creating my own game."

▲ Steve was still caught up in the hilarity of magical people not understanding baseball, laughing to himself as he watched Thursday moving throughout her room quickly. While baseball was an outdoor sport, as most of his classmates accurately assessed, the big games, the professional ones, were almost exclusively played in the late afternoon or at night. So he would be able to go if he really wanted to. And he had! They were also forgetting the fact that television existed, but that was a completely other tangent he could go on, on another day. There were times where it amazed him that some of his new peers were completely oblivious to technology and modern no-maj things, and then there were others like Thursday, who had an entire room dedicated to one of the largest media collections he had ever seen in his life. His dad told him stories about how there used to be stores out there where you could rent whatever movie or video game you wanted, and that honestly sounded like heaven to him. It would probably be Shangri-La for Thursday. Or competition to her castle here, it was sort of hard to tell. “How do you manage during the school year? I doubt any of these work well in the castle. I’ve heard some people say that certain kinds of cameras don’t even work,” Steve asked, remembering then that he had to leave his phone at home the previous school year as well. He could understand the no phones thing for the sake of keeping students on track with their studying, but apparently that rule was being changed for this upcoming year. It was sort of confusing. While mulling this over, Thursday added that she was working on her own game, and Steve looked up at her. An actual video game! “Really? Dang…that’s impressive.” He didn’t even have any goals in life. Or maybe his goal was to find a goal? There were so many cool things he could do out there, only limited by the sunlight and need for blood every so often. Other than that, there really weren’t too many other things limiting him from what he wanted to do. “You’ll have to show my some time. I could make a pretty good test subject if you need someone to play it.” He was bad enough at games that he probably wouldn’t break the whole thing immediately. @thursday ● 402 ● I Know The End by Phoebe Bridgers MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Each Weekly child configured their own room according to their wants and desires. Thursday did her room so that she could hunker down and live without leaving if possible. She had all she needed right here. She loved her video games, and sweets. Add in a comfortable bed with pillows and stuffed animals and the room was perfect. Once she graduated, Thursday would have no need to leave the house until her game was done.
He mentioned the castle, meaning Hogwarts and Thursday gave a sigh, looking lovingly at her masterpiece of consoles and games at the comment. "It is a shame. I have an enchanted laptop that I bring. But there's only one or two games downloaded on it that's not apart of an external source. Everything else doesn't work. So I have to make due." She gave a shrug "I tend to focus more on school work and my game while at the castle." she admitted, a bit bashful. She was, as many no-maj's would say, a nerd. She knew that normal technology didn't even work on school grounds. But enchanted ones were a little different.
She beamed as the boy said that her making her own video game was impressive. “You’ll have to show my some time. I could make a pretty good test subject if you need someone to play it.” She laughed, swallowing another bite of cake "Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Though right now it's just shapes and lines upon lines of code." She should start looking for an artist, but it was hard to put your self out there to a group of people. But having a list of potential testers when it got closer to being done was great.

▲ There were enchanted laptops too?!? Steve almost jumped off of the bed in surprise, but caught himself on the edge, remembering how much difficulty he had at the beginning with climbing onto it. The remainder of the cake shook next to him, sliding a bit closer to his hand when he put all of his weight down to keep himself from falling off. According to her, nothing else worked except for the few things she had downloaded on the computer, but just that was a game changer! Steve immediately started thinking about how he needed to convince his parents to let him get one of these enchanted phones (and not a laptop, because they didn’t understand those). He could download so many movies on it! “Dude, where do you buy these things? Because I totally need to get one of those phones,” Steve admitted, completely glossing over Thursday’s comments on how she was more focused on her school life. “Do you think I’d be able to download the entire Buffy the Vampire Slayer show on one of these phones? My mom never let me watch it, because, you know, being a vampire and all,” he added, laughing a bit as he leaned back onto the bed. Even if it meant having to share with Nora, he would totally fork over half of his allowance to get one of these things now. Even though he was caught up in his daydream, Thursday agreed to let him be a test person on the game once it became more of a game. “Yeah, I don’t really understand any of that, but you’ll know where to find me once it’s done. The Gryffindors are all cool people, so you can just walk right into the common room and no one will bat an eye.” Or ask one of her siblings. He was pretty sure there were some Weeklys in Gryffindor with him. Was it Monday? With how overwhelming and insane everything had been the previous year, he still didn’t know too many people. There was a lot more catching up in terms of learning spells and magical history than there was hanging out with people and having fun. Hopefully that would change this year, since it was technically his last chance at it. @thursday ● 379 ● She Pale Waves by Artist MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Thursday felt the ripples of the bed when she mentioned her laptop. she couldn't help but laugh as the boy seemed to get super excited. He asked where to buy them and Thursday shrugged. "My parents bought me mine in California. Not sure where around here....sorry..." She felt a little guilty about it, but she honestly didn't know. Ask here where to purchase any type of sweet, and the best places to get certain pastries, she was your girl. Anywhere she went, se was sure to learn that. Thursday took another bite of cake as he asked about downloading a show. She shook her head "As long as the device has the memory space for it. If not, you should still get at least some." She didn't know how many seasons that show had, but she had heard of a spin off of it as well. But she too hadn't ever watched the old show. "Mine have always been sensitive when it came to those types of things too." Practically her entire family was filled with demi-humans. Almost everyone seemed to be part something.
She wasn't suppressed when he said that he didn't understand that stuff. Not many wizards did. At this point, she was fairly self taught, and that was because she had a passion. Well, some would call it an obsession. Thursday nodded to his comment. If she ever were to try to get into any common room other than her own, she could always get the help of a sibling. "I've heard about it, Mo and Friday are in that house too." She was very much a Ravenclaw, much preferring to study and work on a project, then party. But, to each their own. She took another bite of the demolished cake.

▲ If California already had magic phones, then there was no reason London didn’t have them. Steve now had a goal for the remainder of the summer: to be the perfect child, so that he could convince his mom to buy him a phone. He knew the argument that everyone at school had one wouldn’t work, since she would only counter by saying that everyone he needed to contact would be at Hogwarts as well. Which was pretty valid. There weren’t any friends back in Canada that he wanted to talk to either, with Cameron being the only one and now she was at Hogwarts as well. That only left him with a few options, really. He would need to maintain his grades, or at least promise to – or he could try and get one as an early birthday present. The latter was the most likely solution, as he never really asked for much. Nora was always the greedy one, wanting new guns and knives. The funny part about that now was that those sorts of things were harder to come by here, and it wasn’t like she could run into the woods anymore to use them like she could back home. A phone would be infinitely more useful these days. “Ok. If I manage to get one, I’ll download as much as possible, and then we’ll watch it together. That way we can finally say we’ve seen it.” And it wasn’t like their parents could stop them once they were at Hogwarts. The school was only going to take away technology if it became a problem, similar to what they had done in his no-maj school back in Canada. His plan felt fool proof, but that could have also been the lingering side effects of the drinks he had earlier. Or the sugary-iron intoxication of the blood-pops he had been chewing on all night. Sometimes they did that too. Steve assumed that Mo meant Monday, who was in his year he was pretty sure, and Friday definitely sounded familiar as well. “Yeah…I mean, I think everyone I’ve met at Hogwarts is pretty cool. It beats going to no-maj school and learning magic on the side,” Steve explained. He did miss living the double life in Canada, and being able to go to their little magical community places was always fun. It never came close to Diagon Alley, but there were still times he longed for the quiet wintery nights of Canada. Everything in Scotland was wet and cold. “What was Ilvermorny like? I have a friend from back home that went there as well, and she used to tell me stories every summer about it.” All he really wanted to know was if Cameron was embellishing her stories or not. Either way, they had been captivating enough to get both him and Nora begging for more. @thursday ● 476 ● Heavy Weather by Billie Martin MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

The boy promised that if he was able to get an enchanted device, he would store as much "contraband" as possible and they could watch it together. She laughed and nodded "That sounds great" She took another bite of cake as she contemplated the prospect of watching vampire shows at school. She figured that they couldn't get in trouble for it, and she was always good with keeping up with her studies. She could take a break and have some fun too.
He mentioned goin to no-maj school and the girl cringed a little. There was no way that the Weekly children could manage no-maj school. Especially Thursday. "That sounds hard." Though she couldn't help but think about the prospect of learning more about coding and computers. But she much preferred being around those who would understand her issues and needs. Honestly she didn't know how Steve had done it. She thought back to her time at Ilvermorney. "It was fun. But not much different form Hogwarts." She shrugged. Going to school always was hard on Thursday, and it seemed more of a her thing, than a vampire thing. "Less accents, a few differences in courses." She took another bite of cake as she thought. "I don't have a lot of of crazy stories. I mostly focused on my studies, and research." Saying it made her feel so boring. But that's really mostly what she did at school.
