Sav nodded when she explained her current relationship with their father, however, he couldn’t disagree more. If someone told him that his father had died or been injured, Sav wasn’t sure he would bat an eye. Maybe that made him an awful person, but he didn’t see his father in the hospital when Sav found himself there after the explosion at the Quidditch match. His mother was there, of course, and Kathrine, but she was in the bed beside him, it wasn’t exactly the same thing. He hadn’t expected to see Shreya, since he was only there for a day anyway. But if he ever had a kid, which he didn’t expect to, he knew he’d be there if they were ever injured even in the slightest. Not that Sav would have wanted him there, but that wasn’t the point. However, he kept that to himself and ate his ice cream instead, taking a large bite out of the cone.
Though, he could understand exactly what she was saying about their mum. It was easy for him to feel that she was hurt just as much as they were, but it was likely true that she had known longer than they had - he had never thought to ask and he likely never would. “Yeah she definitely makes it hard sometimes.” he agreed. Their mother was entirely overbearing. Sav also figured it said a lot about their relationship with their parents before the scandal. He had never been that close with their father, not since he went to Hogwarts at least. He had been much closer with their mum. “I think it’ll be awhile too before I’m able to fully forgive any of it. Maybe never. I guess it’s just been harder to ignore mum.” he added. Though it was a lot easier now that they were adults and finally in control of their own lives.
((wannah wrap this up and do a newer one?)) @shreya

((Good idea.))
In a way it hit the nail on the head the moment he said that it was harder to ignore their mother. He was fully right on that particular problem. Their mother was harder to ignore because she was overbearing and despite the fact that Shreya definitively held a grudge, she also felt that her mother had tried to do what was best. She didn't feel the same about her father but didn't want any unpleasant surprises. She liked being in some form of control of the situation, otherwise she would have cut contact. Right now her maintaining it was mostly limited to sending birthday and Christmas cards and responding if he ever did check in with her. "It's the same for me though. I'm trying to forgive mum although that is more for my own sake. I just don't really trust her any more and I'm not sure if I ever will again." It was good to admit it to somebody, especially since it was far more likely that Sav would understand what she meant. They'd been through the same thing after all. It was hard to imagine simply forgiving their mother as if nothing had happened before going back to how things had been before everything happened. It just wasn't possible. There was too much dirt to dig up for that.

Sav knew exactly what Shreya was saying and he felt it within himself as well. He knew how hard it was to trust both of their parents over the past few years and how much of a strain that feeling of not being able to trust those who were responsible for you was on their relationships with their parents and with each other. It had caused sav to distance entirely from his family. He made minimal effort to talk to his twin, usually he tried to avoid his mother when he could, and he only interacted with his father when he was forced to. That meant spending Christmas and holidays with friends, or at Hogwarts, and moving out as soon as he was graduated and able to. “I’m not gonna force you to or tell you that you should.” sav shrugged, finishing off his cone. But we should do this again.” he decided. Shreya had done nothing wrong, it wasn’t fair of himself to distance from her as well. They used to be so close.
@shreya ((I think you can close it out in your post ))

It was nice to know that despite the recent distance between her and Sav, they still understood each other. He wasn't going to force her to forgive their mother because he understood it would never be that simple. Still, she was glad he was wanting to hang out with her more again. She smiled slightly and nodded as he said they should do this again. She figured that 'this' wasn't so much eating ice cream but more hanging out and rebuilding their sibling bond. It would be good for her at least to know there was one part of her family that hadn't disappeared or changed irreparably on her. Sav was still her twin and they were still close in some way. "We should." She agreed, picking up her purse as she too finished her cone. "Send me an owl or a text when you have some time again so we can figure out a place to meet up." She said, pretty sure he had her phone number. Otherwise their mum would have it for him, or one of their mutual friends. "It was good to see you again." She said in earnest before walking off again to take care of the other business for the day.
