The few days following the hot and heavy make out session with Simon were honestly the most confusing days in her life. Jessie didn't know where they stood. Being able to act on her feelings for him was unbelievable satisfying. Though it didn't give her any insight as to what was going to happen next. Were things going to continue the way they were before? Or was their relationship with one another going to change into something different. She found herself wishing she had more experience with this type of thing. It might give her some idea on how to proceed. So Jessie decided to make a plan for them to watch a movie tonight. At the least it would give her the chance to see how he felt. Besides, Sofia was with her boyfriend for the evening. It wasn't like she had anything better to do. She popped into his room around 9:00 that evening to propose the idea to him. Walking through his doorway, an odd feeling struck her. It was like some sort of Pavlov effect. She halfway expected for him to kiss her again. "Hey," she greeted, giving him a bright smile. "I was gonna watch a movie, do you want to join?" she asked, a nervous feeling flaring up inside her. She leaned against his doorway, waiting for him to answer. The worst he could do was say no. Though, that would probably crush her as well. simon sixten svendsen

Things had been weird since the night Jessie barged into his room, demanding attention from him. The Lioness expressed that he never gave her the time of the day and how it wasn't fair. Simon hadn't thought about it much until she mentioned it to him with a heated passion. The half vamp felt bad for teasing her, not realizing how much it could effect someone, even if considered it messing around. Jessie must've been obsessing over it for weeks. He was thinking about it but he certainly wasn't one to discuss such matters easily. Simon hated confronting emotions like that, it was like prying teeth from the lion. Everything got too real.
This evening Simon was in his room with music lightly playing, smoking a spliff, and leisurely sketching. The Svendsen Residence was peaceful tonight because Sofia was out with her boyfriend and his parents went on a date for their anniversary. Simon wondered if Jessie would come into his room again. As much as he dreaded it a small part of him hoped that she dared to. It was weird, right as he thought of Jessie she appeared at his door.
A spliff dangled from his lip, "Heey" he greeted with a small smile, closing the sketchbook lightly as she asked him if he wanted to watch a movie. Well, he wasn't really doing anything else... It was probably the least he could do for Jessie. Especially for all she had done for him in the last year. "Yeah, sure" he answered easily, "What are you watching?" he asked her, ashing the spliff in the tray by his window.

Jessie resisted the urge to scrunch up her nose, both from the smell and from the sight of him smoking. She definitely didn't want to rag on him for it. Not today anyway. There were more important things going on between the two of them. As she watched him close his sketchbook she felt a little guilty for interrupting him. She was thrilled, however, when he agreed to join her. She paused when asked what they were going to watch. "Hmm," she hummed aloud. Jessie hadn't quite made it that far into her plan, she honestly wasn't sure if he was going to say yes five minutes ago. "You know, I'm feeling generous. I'll let you pick. But nothing raunchy. I know how male brains work," she teased, giving him a playful smile. "I'm gonna get some popcorn and sodas, then I'll meet you down there," she said, giving him another smile. Jessie managed to stay cool and collected while exiting his room, but before long she was practically skipping down the hallway and stairs. Her giddy reaction wasn't just because she would be blessed with Simon's company tonight. It had been a long while since she had a proper movie night. The last time it happened, she was probably still on speaking terms with her sisters. Once she made it into their beyond gorgeous kitchen, Jessie hurriedly prepped their essential movie snacks. She even grabbed some chocolate, but that was more for herself than for Simon. Though, he was under the influence. He'd probably eat a little of everything that she brought. As she made her way towards the theater room, the Lioness realized she had brought way too many snacks. Her short arms were nearly too full. It was a miracle that she made it the whole way without dropping anything. Her arms ached with relief when she finally set everything down on the coffee table. simon sixten svendsen

Simon rolled his eyes to the back of his head when she told him no raunchy movies and warned him that she knew how the male mind worked. Well, little did she know that thriller movies was a surefire way to get the ladies to sit close to you. So he would go more that route tonight if she was going to make the mistake of having his choose what they watched.
Simon made his way down the stairs and into the movie room after a few minutes. He had a fresh spliff tucked behind his ear and he was dressed joggers and a hoodie, maximum comfort. Jessie brought an assortment of snacks for the festivities and Simon was a little impressed - the morbid stoner in him appreciated a good munchie spread. "Wow. Someone takes movie night seriously." he teased her with a half smile, nodding in approval as he plopped a piece of popcorn into his mouth. Simon didn't watch television or movies very often so he didn't really care what they watched, a part of him had a feeling like they wouldn't be watching much of it anyways but he turned to Jessie, "What about this one?" he suggested, flinging the DVD case of 'It' toward her for her inspection and plopping himself onto the puffy sofa, already hugging a pillow.

When she laid on Simon, she had to admit that he looked good in joggers. She never thought someone could make joggers look good. He did it well, though. A proud grin danced to her lips, "I do take it seriously. It's one of my favorite things to do. And it's been a minute since I've had one. Hey, don't eat it all yet," she said giving him a playful smack on his hand. A part of her was always shocked by how cold his hands felt. She figured that it was attributed to him being a half-vampire. Jessie was glad she was still standing when Simon tossed a DVD case her way. She didn't have the best hand-eye coordination, hence why she played American soccer back home. Luckily she caught it with ease, avoiding any teasing Simon might have given her for dropping it. When she examined the movie, she was pleased that she hadn't seen it before. The Lioness recognized it. It was a big hit back in its' day. She wasn't afraid of horror movies by any means. She was going to jump quite a bit, sure, but she loved a good jump-scare. "Sure. I've actually been meaning to watch this," she informed him, before sliding it into the DVD player. She placed the remote on the coffee table before grabbing one of the blankets off the back of the couch. She wasn't sure if her leggings and hoodie would cut it tonight, being cold-natured and all. Jessie then plopped herself down on the other end of the couch, leaning slightly on its' arm. She most definitely wanted to sit next to him, but it was best not to come off too strong. The numerous conversations she had overheard from her dormmates were echoing in her mind. 'Boys like the chase.' If he was interested, he still needed to do a little of the work. simon sixten svendsen

The lioness shared that she took movie nights very seriously and he snorted, "Yeah, but you take everything serious." he teased with a blunt tone, but he ended it with a wink. Simons hand retracted from the popcorn when she gave it a little swat, sticking his tongue out at her as he grabbed a piece of her candy instead. He was trying to maintain their standard banter that came easily after the camaraderie they'd built over the year. Jessie was easy to hang out with for the most part when she wasn't trying to boss him around. Kissing her wasn't what he expected. There was feelings and something deeper there, he was just very confused. Simon hoped that Jessie wouldn't bring it up because he didn't really want an emotional conversation right now.
Jessie approved of the movie selection and he couldn't help but smile. He wondered if she knew what it was. Simon knew it was a scary movie clowns...sounded kind of stupid to him. Simon ruffled his hair, "Oh? I didn't take you for the horror movie type." he challenged her playfully, not meaning to offend her, it was more of a fact for him. As the lioness plopped herself on the opposite end of the sofa, his eye brows quirked up, making a face at her...she suddenly felt so far away. But why did he want her within reach? That would result into trouble. Well, he liked trouble. The other night she gave him shit for not giving her attention and in a way this was him trying to give her attention. A laugh slipped past his lips, "I don't bite." he said more in a sarcastic playful tone, "Well, unless if you want me to." he said, the intentions surely flirtatious.

She shrugged when Simon said she took everything seriously. She wasn't hurt by it, and his wink confirmed he meant it in a lighthearted way. For the most part, Jessie couldn't help but to take everything seriously. She was very dedicated to her studies, her feelings, and her friends. Her studies were of the upmost importance because she didn't have a lot of money to fall back on her. Her parents would help the most that they could, but they weren't the wealthiest of families. The Lioness planned on staying in Europe after graduating, so making good marks and making a fair amount of money was the best way to accomplish that. As for her feelings and friends... she didn't have to sisters to support her or talk with anymore. It just wasn't an option. "Yeah, I like them. Remember, I'm not just kittens and rainbows," she rebutted, referencing their conversation in the park. She watched his face morph into a funny expression. Nice, one point for Jessie. The tables had suddenly turned, and this time it was in her favor. She rolled her eyes when he made the comment about biting, and set about getting the movie playing. She wanted him to fret, just for a moment. Jessie had the undeniable feeling that if she acted as though their kiss wasn't superb, Simon might be a little offended, or at least have something to prove. "I think I'll pass," she commented, a neutral expression on her face. "Ready to watch the movie?"

When Jessie reminded him that she wasn't only kittens and rainbows, his head cocked to the side, "You will always be kittens and rainbows to me." he smiled smugly, icy blue eyes attempting to catch her gaze, more to challenge her. And read her expression. Merlin, he enjoyed challenging the lioness too much, it almost wasn't fair!
Simon was half expecting Jessie to turn him down right off the bat just like she had. The comment wasn't necessarily a romantic one. She told him that she would pass and Simon actually felt his ego deflate a bit. Simon scoffed lightly, left with a crooked half smile, "Oooh, hard to get now, I see..." he jested with a playful eye roll. Simon wasn't offended, he just found it funny that suddenly she was being hot and cold with him. The only reason any girl would want to watch a movie was to suck face, right? Okay, maybe not.. "As ready as I'll ever be." he nodded his head up and down, "Are you ready?" Simon asked her, a part of him was still convinced that she didn't watch scary movies.

Jessie quickly frowned and flipped him the bird. She knew he was teasing, but the joke was starting to irk her. Especially coming from him. Simon was probably trying to get a rise out of her. It was working, but she wouldn't let him know that. Well, unless her facial expression gave it away. She didn't respond at his 'hard to get' comment either. Jessie was entirely too eager to kiss him again, but she didn't want to be the one to initiate, or seem like she was in fact, very eager. Jessie whipped her head towards him, "Of course I am. I'm not a 'fraidy cat.... Besides, I've read the book," she admitted sheepishly. Simon was sure to tease her about that. In all fairness, movies rarely followed the book perfectly. It was still a new movie to her. When the movie finally started, Jessie made sure to grab the popcorn and snuggle deeper into her blanket. She had to admit, she was hog when it came to movie snacks. It was a well-conditioned trait. The joy of growing up with three other siblings. And being the youngest. It was a wonder she got any food at all really. As she watched the heavy rain scene, Jessie was feeling nostalgic for a good rain storm. However that feeling was quickly dashed when she watched the little boy on the screen being basically devoured by the clown. Okay, maybe she had overestimated how okay she was watching a horror movie. It was a lot more terrifying compared to the book. simon sixten svendsen

Simon had seen this one as a kid. His dad used it on him and Sofia to make sure they would behave, always threatening them with 'It' as if he was their child eating friend. Well, he threatened Sofia more than anything because Simon wasn't afraid of clowns. Clowns were stupid. Jessie informed him that she had read the book and he gave her one of those knowing looks, "Of course you have.." he drawled, the corners of his lips lifting upwards. His eyes stayed on her a little longer this time, he was trying to asses the situation with Jessie to play his next move.
The half vamp sat comfortably on the sofa pretending to watch the movie for a couple of minutes. He knew another jump scare was coming, so he would use it to his advantage. Jessie actually looked a little taken aback by the kid getting eaten, maybe she underestimated it. Wicked. The music on the surround sound was rumbling and very suspenseful, even his heart rate was going a little bit. The moment he anticipated as the bloody clowns face came onto the big screen Simon turned to Jessie and bellowed loudly suddenly, "BOOOoO!!" jumping toward her on the couch so that they were sitting side by side now, closing the distance that was separating them.

She cast him a look as if to say, 'Did you expect any different?'. He knew how often she read. Simon clearly should have anticipated that admission. Although Jessie was absolutely horrified by how graphic the movie was, her eyes were glued to the screen. A loud yell resounded in her ear just as the clown popped up on the TV, and the poor lioness nearly jumped completely off of the couch. Jessie only managed to let a small squeak of terror out, despite the mount of profanities sitting on the top of her tongue. Popcorn went flying in the air, scattering across the couch and theater room floor. Feeling the couch sink from Simon's couch relocation, Jessie stared at him with wild eyes. A hand lay across her chest in fright, and her mouth hung slightly agape. Once she was able to gather what had transpired, Jessie glared daggers at the boy. Too annoyed to even notice their proximity. "Oh my god," she started, placing the bowl of whatever popcorn remained on the coffee table. "Are you five years old?! You made me spill all of the popcorn!" the lioness stated, clearly grumpy. She pulled out her wand and cast a quick cleaning spell. A pout was now residing on her lips, as she crossed her arms and snuggled back into the couch. "You know I love my movie snacks," she sniffed, shooting him another dirty look. She was devastated to have lost one of the most essential movie snacks of all time. "And now I missed what happened in the movie."

Simon erupted with laughter at the display that Jessie had provided him when he tried to scare her. Popcorn flew across the room, raining all over the sofa, floor, and Simon. Jessie clutched her hand on her chest and made a small squeal. She was more annoyed than anything but now he managed to get closer to her.
His icy blue saucers dropped to the bowl to take a look, but he didn't take any, it was all Jessie's now. "Hey, there's some still in there!" he stated in a more optimistic tone, "If you want more popcorn I will get you more popcorn, Jessie." he offered because she truly did look sad about the snacks. Well, probably more grump than sad at this point but he was willing to make it right. She did take her snacks seriously.
The lioness was not happy with his outburst. His mouth twisted into a tiny smile, "Woow, don't mess with a girl and her snacks...." he mused, watching as she went from annoyed, to angry, to sad about her snacks. Well, now it was more of a mixture of grumpiness and irritation with that dirty look she shot him. It made him smile back at her, not effected by it. "You're cute when you're mad." he told her bravely, taking a breath in to rephrase himself to throw Jessie a bone for once. "Well, actually you're cute all the time but you're extra fiery when you're mad." he said in a more nonchalant tone but it was meant to flatter her a bit. Simon just pissed her off so he did have a little work to do.

Normally his laughter would incite her own giggles, or at least a smile. "Some is not as good as all," she sniffed, again. The brunette knew she might be overreacting a tiny bit, so when he offered to get her more popcorn she declined. "No, thank you." She had brought plenty of other snacks. Despite popcorn being her favorite, she would be just fine with the multitude of food that remained. She nodded, still pouting, "You really shouldn't. Snack are important. I figured you'd be the same way, since you like getting high," she admitted, shrugging again. As their shoulders brushed as a result, she finally recognized how close she was the icy-eyed boy. Her stomach fluttered at the thought. She shifted her head to look at him, searching his eyes for a hint of a joke.Another flutter occurred when their eyes met. "Whatever, you just feel guilty," Jessie said, facing tinging pink. Merlin, she hoped he had meant it. Despite her inexperience with boys, she knew it was dumb to assume his actions were spurred on by any romantic feelings. Yet she couldn't help but to hope for the impossible. He had moved closer to her, and had definitely agreed to have a movie night with her. Maybe she was being dumb, but hope was festering in her. Whether it was fruitful or not, it was there. She ached to ask him, and find out what exactly was going on. But she was scared, and unprepared to face a truth that she may not like. simon sixten svendsen

When she admitted to thinking that he would be one to respect food because he liked to get high all the time, he didn't even take offense. It was straight facts. Simon nodded in agreement at her statement, a laugh slipping passed his lips, "You're right about that, I am the Munchie Master," he told her solemnly, "But I am also willing to sacrifice a little bit of popcorn to get closer to you." he jested with a playful but charming smile, eyebrows dancing upwards to show that he was lightheartedly flirting. Maybe he shouldn't have started out by screaming in her face, but those were little things you learned over time. Sorry, Jessie.
The lioness called him out for only trying to flatter her because he felt guilty. His smile faltered ever so slightly and the half vampire turned his body slightly so he could look at Jessie's face, try to read her a bit. Jessie's face had flushed a bit, so he looked at her lips to see if she'd get redder. "You sure about that?" he asked her in a slightly challenging tone, possibly hinting about the other night. They were missing more of the movie longer they continued to talk. Honestly, Simon didn't really wanna watch a movie, he only agreed because Jessie asked him and he wasn't doing anything else.

A small smile slipped passed her pouty expression, and Jessie quickly attempted to cover it with her hand. The smile still resided on her face, but a quick eye roll acknowledged his words. "And why did you feel getting closer to me?" she asked, feeling her grumpy attitude starting to lift. Her flirty edge was starting to replace it. Things were falling into place, now that he had moved closer to her. Jessie wasn't one for devious plotting, but it seemed to be working in her favor. She had to admit, it was nice to be flirting with him again, after days of wondering what in the hell he must have been thinking. His intentions still eluded her, but she didn't mind not knowing for the time being. She had his attention for the time being. Jessie was just thankful to be the target of his flirting, rather than Claudia. She turned redder still, as he challenged her once more. She watched his eyes fall to her lips. Jessie, for the first in the history of their relationship, was able to dial back her pink-faced reactions. Reigning it in, she could slowly feel her face cool. Feeling urged on by her sudden composure, she grinned wickedly at him. "Well let's see if you mean it then," she whispered in a sultry tone, before leaning towards the half-vampire. Closer and closer she got, until their lips just barely grazed one another. At the last minute the young Gryffindor pulled back, her smile dropping from her face. "Actually, I don't really care to find out," she said, fixing her eyes back on the screen in front of them. Jessie felt smug. This was going to be a fun night. simon sixten svendsen
