Mazie was in St. Mungo's. She wasn't happy about it, but she understood. She'd been lucky. The fact that she'd gotten out, especially after getting her leg broken, was a miracle. She still tried not to think about it. The smell of the pitch burning down, the sound of people screaming. Those memories were a thing of nightmares. She sat in her room, eyes closed as she tried to rest. Then the door opened. She opened her eyes, smiling when she saw who was coming in. "Jack. Hey, how are you?" she asked. She didn't want him to be worried about her, but then again ... how could he not be? She was glad he came though. JOHN ELLIOT CLARK

Lee had actually been the one to call Jack. He wasn’t even sure how she got his number, but of course he knew who she was: Mazie’s sister. She said that she just wanted to let him know that mazie had been hurt in the Quidditch explosion and that she would be in the hospital for a little bit longer today if he wanted to come and visit her. Of course he wanted to see her. Besides being his girlfriend, she was his best friend. And she was the most important person in the world to him. He told his employers that he had a friend in the hospital after having an accident and they were so accommodating in letting him have the afternoon off. He made his way into the city and finally into the hospital. Lee was in the hallway when he found her room, on the phone. She waved him in and he entered.
Mazie saw him fairly quickly and asked how he was. He laughed a little. “Doesn’t matter how I am, matters how you are.” he smirked, going to stand by her bedside. “what happened, maz?” he asked.

Mazie smiled. Just seeing Jack made her feel better. She loved being around him and seeing him smile. He made her happy when a lot of other things (like where she was and how her leg ached) didn't. "I'm fine," she answered after a second, looking up at him before opening her hand and extending it to him. "I was pretty lucky, I guess. There was ... an explosion. I don't remember everything, but people were running and pushing others around. The blast knocked me off my feet, but as I was running away a beam fell on me and broke my leg." Mazie shook her head, trying to not remember everything about that moment. "I got out, passed out and work up here," she added, looking at her hands instead of at Jack's face. Would he think that she handled it well or poorly? She wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to know. She felt more uncertain right now than she normally did. JOHN ELLIOT CLARK
