Maria didn't look away, drinking the contents of her own glass as he drank his own. She almost didn't even taste it, her attention focused quite intensely on the man. She almost didn't breathe, waiting for his reaction. Maria really was a ruthless lover, so much so that even her warning was an understatement. She as the sort that took, and took, and took. She used, and abused, until she got her fill. And now that that part was awakening, it was like a starving lion. God, she hadn't thought she wanted to company tonight, but here she was, with someone that wanted to use her, just like she wanted to use him. And up until now... It'd been completely and totally chaste and tame.
He spoke, moving even closer. Maria couldn't help the almost dark smile. "Be careful what you wish for," she breathed. His hand found her waist, soon followed by his lips on her own. And the dam broke. Maria leaned in him, her hands roughly taking fistfuls of his shirt to drag him even closer. Her lips moved against his own. Most the time, first kisses were hesitant, innocent, as if trying to feel the other person out before pushing more. This was not that. It was rough, aggressive, hungry. As if she would consume everything and leave him in ruin in the end.

Her hands were in his shirt, he felt her hunger and even in his foggy brain it was clear they were on the same page. They were both willing, both consenting, both desperately wanting. Rhys had always wondered what effect his lycanthropy had on his libido. Composure, self-control--the key traits that drove him though days like this took much more energy for that. Right now he just wanted her and that was his drive and that would overwrite any pressing need for that composure and right now was not about self-control. The force at which she pushed into him caused him to take a step back and into a side table that had their glasses and some picture frames as they shifted and one picture toppled off the side and into the floor. Rhys didn't even hear the glass break but it wasn't a priority and could be fixed later. Both his hands were at her waist and they slid down and pushed her into him.
As swiftly as he could manage at this state he spun her a bit so she was against the wall and he against her as he pulled back to catch a much needed breath. Rhys kissed the side of her neck near her ear and worked his way down as slowly as his frenzied self could manage. Her skin was like fire and while he knew he wouldn't come out of his unscathed he wondered if he would be burned or not. As he focused on her neck his hands wandered as if with a mind of their own and as he also wondered how to get her damn dress off. It was warm in here, just as it had been in the pub though less stuffy. Really, had he been more focused and it was possible he would have just ripped the damn thing off and been done with it.

The alcohol made Maria's blood feel like it was boiling, her head swimming. But she loved every moment of it. Because all her senses were being flooded. All she could focus on was the man. And the more she focused on him, the more she wanted him. Needed him. The alcohol had numbed all the unwanted emotions and memories. Now she desperately needed to feel something. She had to take a step forward as he took one back, refusing to let the distance between their bodies return. There was a clacker, Rhys must have knocked something over but Maria didn't care. A few broken household items wouldn't stop her. If anything, it made her push even harder. Because she didn't want him to get distracted by it.
Rhys moved quickly, spinning to push her against the wall. Rhys was much stronger then her, able to make the motion without Maria being able to fight it (though she wouldn't have wanted to). IT was almost a strange sensation, being dominated. Normally Maria was the one dominating the other (the other letting her overpower them, or being physically weaker), or it was a struggle (like when she was with Adonia, where both wanted to be dominate so it became a power struggle). But today she'd messed with someone that had thrown caution to the wind like she had, and would use her just as much. Maybe she should go after broken souls like herself more often. Because, like her, they had a void they needed to fill. She practically growled when he broke the kiss, catching his breath. Who needed air? But it only lasted a moment, his lips finding their way to her neck. Maria let out a soft gasp, and tried to lean into the kisses, tilting her head just enough to give him better access. Her hands moved towards his waist, trying to find the edge of the annoying clothing between them, as his own seemed to do the same. The moment was almost savage, both desperate to fill a void and not caring about self restraint.
Maria had found the bottom of his shirt quickly, her hands slipping underneath the thin fabric to the exposed skin beneath. She closed her eyes, letting out a breath as she focused on the sensation. His lips at her neck, her hands on his skin, his hands fumbling at her dress. Ugh, she loved it. And desperately wanted more. She grabbed the bottom of his shirt again, pulling on it, pulling it up, silently demanding he remove the annoying article. "Take it off,"' she hissed, demanding.

His breath caught in his throat and his muscles tensed slightly when he felt her fingers on his skin, even though her skin felt like fire they felt cold against his abdomen. Maybe he was at the point of burning her as well. They had both dove in headfirst into this adventure. The higher the risk the higher the reward. Rhys felt her tilt her head, in invitation to continue. Even though they were acting rather quickly and ferociously the anticipation was killing him. It was so primitive, savage even and had there been a bystander I'm sure he would have wondered why they were attacking one another. Self-control, it was gone as far as he knew but he didn't know if that was because of the bottle of Bourbon or it was just her. For once in his life Rhys simply didn't care. He was used to spending so much time composed, responsible and forging ahead but for once he wanted to be who he really was--and that man could be frighteningly intense. A savage werewolf's spirit lived within him.
A voice pierced the fog and he pulled back though only as little as he needed for Maria to help him rid himself of this cloth barrier. Throwing it aside he still felt as if he was overheating but a bit less now and deep in the back of his mind he wondered what she would make of him and his scars. Would she ask about them? Most with werewolf bites had the scar of a magical injury that would never fade, magic could take away a traditional scar but not from a magical would. Rhys moved in again kissing her forcefully, his hands ran up her back searching for some kind of zipper or some kind of clasp until he found both. Silently he thanked Merlin as he pulled down the zipper the best he could from this angle. Rhys had a goal and he seemed closer than ever, now it was a matter of was he going to be a gentleman and take them somewhere more comfortable or just have his way with her. At this point he was leaning toward the latter. Rhys was a little shocked with himself but only in the sense that he had worked toward self-control for so long he forgot what having an insatiable need felt like, and he found he rather liked it right now.
With the zipper undone any tension in the cloth that held it up fell away and he hurried it along. "Thank Merlin, I thought I was going to have to rip this thing off you." He muttered, almost in relief.

Rhys was quick to react, moving just enough that they could get his shirt off over his head, and she blindly tossed it. There was a clinking as the shirt landed right no the glasses they'd discarded, but Maria ignored it. She was more focused on that first opportunity to see his body better. She leaned heavily into the wall, her gaze running up and down, taking him all that glorious skin, though annoying at the remaining clothing still on his body. She took in the scars, not thinking of anything of them past it being incredibly hot. It made him look just as savage as he was acting, and it was intoxicating.
Maria had only a moment to enjoy the view until he was back, his lips finding her own with a force that rivaled her own. She pushed back, hungry for more. Her hands moved to his chest, exploring every inch she could reach. As his hands moved towards her back, desperately searching for the zipper of her dress, she arched her back, trying to give his hands as much room as possible. The sound of the zipper cut through the air and she felt the tight fabric loosen. Immediately and quickly she shrugged her arms out of the sleeves, helping him push the fabric down. Past her chest, her hips, then kicking the dress away. "You should have," she breathed, desperately out of breath from their kiss but already desperate for more. She kissed him again, unwilling to wait for more, her teeth grazing against his bottom lip. She wanted the wild, uncontrollable passion.

the only thing that works for me help me get away from myself

Rhys never considered himself particularly vain but he cared enough about his appearance to stay in some shape, he supposed deep down he still held on to that childhood dream of being a Quidditch athlete, but that opportunity had never really presented himself and the time had gone for that. Still, transforming was such a demand on his body that being in shape actually helped. He suddenly felt overdressed in comparison to his current companion and the feel of her skin against his just fueled him even more. Her teeth went against his mouth and he grunted slightly in pleasure. His hands roamed and explored her body and the more he did the more heated he felt. Pulling back once more, as if to catch a final breath, he went back to her neck near her ear and even as far down as her collarbone one hand quickly going to the top of his pants so he could unbutton them as fast as he could with one hand.
Rhys pulled back and pulled her toward him he thought about relocating, the bedroom wasn't far away and neither was the couch nearly behind them but he almost couldn't even wait that long. Once more he leaned down to kiss her, biting her bottom lip before pulling back again. Very quickly he hoisted her up with both arms, it was just him, her and the wall. That would have todo for this round.
[ insert time lapse here ]
Rhys blinked, his vision still slightly blurry and eyelids refusing to open even with the miniscule lighting that entered the room. Laying on his back he tried to get a sense of where he was, what time was it? Where was he? His hands went to his face, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to gain his vision back but he figured that might take a second or two to come back. His head hurt, like really hurt and had it not felt so heavy he might have tried to sit up. For a moment he layed staring at the blank ceiling while his eyes adjusted and his hands went to his chest where he felt something other than his usual scars. Scratches? Rhys glanced down as quickly as his aching head would let him and confirmed that yes, he had scratches on his chest. In fact his whole body hurt and was even reminiscent of the days after he transformed.
Again he looked around now that his vision had returned to him and stopped very quickly as he realized he wasn't alone. Oh, that's right--he thought as various memories came flooding back to him. And as evidenced at least in his bedroom it had certainly been quite a night, it looked like a storm had come through here. Rhys laid his head back on the pillow, it had been a wild ride of a night and an unexpected end to a day where he had expected to fully wallow in his own misery but instead it seemed he and his new friend had wallowed together. Speaking of, he closed his eyes and put his hand over them as the pain increased when trying to think. What was her name?
"Maria?" He muttered. Yeah, that was it. He hoped anyway. What he would give for some coffee and some of his sister's hangover potion.

Maria leaned into each touch, her body moving as his hands roamed. She wasn't shy. Between her work, and her Veela blood, she damn well knew she had a very attractive figure. She just couldn't get enough of it. Being touched, wanted, kissed. It was like a drug, almost as intoxicating as the alcohol running through body. Despite the few words between them they both knew what the other wanted, and they were both desperate for more despite having the entire night ahead of them. Maria bit his lip a little harder as he pulled away, almost angry that he dare break away like hat, but she wasn't left wanting for long...
-They got up to a lot of trouble, all you need to know about the rest of their night-
Maria hurt. In more ways than one. Her head pounded like it had been hit with a sledge hammer, and her entire body was sore and throbbing from last night's antics. She knew she'd be finding bruises and days before she even opened her eyes. The soreness was a welcome pain however. Maria was quite the masochist, given the chance. It was just hard to find someone that would hurt you like that. The head pounding though.. Far less welcome.
It was the hangover from hell. Hangovers weren't new, but this level was.... intense to say the least. Maria lay in the bed, not moving for a long time, fading in and out of sleep. If she could sleep for the next week, it wouldn't be enough. What she wouldn't do for a hangover potion, or some ibuprofen....
Maria had been half asleep when she felt movement beside her. Just a little. The guy she'd spent the night with must be awake. She ignored it, not concerned. Most the time she didn't stay the night when she had a one night stand, but tonight had been a special case. After a few moments though, she heard her name. Maria groaned, unable to stop the sound considering the pounding in her head and aching of her body. "Rhys," she answered, his name muffled slightly by the pillow. "God, how much did we drink last night...?"

Rhys groaned, he had drank a lot and with how awful his body was feeling right now he supposed it was enough to probably take out a hippogriff. The more he became fully awake the more he felt how different parts of his body ached. His body as a whole was sore and as he thought about what he remembered of the previous night's antics it had been a good long while since he'd really just let go as he had. He almost hated to admit how much he liked it, loved it even. Having been bitten so young his entire persona and personality had been driven by being a werewolf, it was who he was as much as he hated it. He was an animal but that also drove his compulsive need for self-control and to maintain a composure. Surely, he didn't have the energy for that right now and Maria had already seen Rhys in some raw form of himself.
The body next to him stirred slightly and he heard his name, followed by a muffled question. Rhys closed his eyes again, he recalled drinking fire whiskey and then the shots and was there a bottle? "I honestly can't remember." He muttered, rubbing a hand over his face again. Rhys slowly sat up in the bed, a sheet was covering his lower half but in this condition even that felt heavy on his legs. As the air hit his back he felt more pain there as well and he tried to reach back to feel what it could be. Just as it was on the front, more scratches. What in the hell had they gotten up to? Rhys wasn't sure if he'd been attacked by some animal or he had really let all go of any and all restraint that he had. "I think I have some hangover potion in the kitchen, but I at least have some coffee if you care for some."
Slowly he moved his body so that he was sitting on the edge of the bed and he paused for a moment. If his sisters or friends like Nell could have seen him in this state they probably would have said something him doing this to himself. Which wasn't wrong but why rub his face in it. Rhys reached for some black pajama bottoms that were haphazardly laying on the night stand and slipped them on. Between work and traveling he didn't often wake with a woman in his own bed though traveling did have its perks. He'd let her rest while he got up slowly, grunting involuntarily at moving his body so much. Rhys walked out of the room and into the living room where he paused for a second to take in the sight. There were a few broken picture frames, the table near the entrance had fallen over, the two glasses from last night also were shattered near the couch as a few points of the total wreckage he observed. Deciding to deal with it later he went into the small kitchen where his wand had also ended up and began searching the cabinets for the miracle potion his sister had brewed for him and some coffee. "Coffee's ready." He announced as loud as he could with how dry his throat felt.
He at least found some coffee and after finding some mugs and little bit of magic, he had two fresh cups of coffee. The one smell that didn't make him feel at least nauseous in the moment and he continued to search for that potion.

There were definitely some gaps in her memory from last night, and parts she remembered quite vividly. A normal person would probably blush at those memories, scandalized by just how... wild the pair had gotten. It really wasn't often that Maria found someone that could match her intensity. Someone that could be violent, and rough in all the right ways. Though, her body wasn't too happy with her and Rhys' night... But hey, she'd accomplished what she'd wanted. A damn good distraction from her self wallowing and misery. "Neither can I." she mumbled. The earlier nights memories were the haziest. They'd met at a pub, she knew that. But which one? How much had they drank? Somehow they'd ended up at his place though she couldn't remember how they'd gotten here specifically. Bourbon. That's what she remembered. A lot of bourbon.
The bed moved, and Maria held back a grumble. What was he doing? She forced an eye open. It took a moment for her gaze to focus, but when it did he was sitting up, trying to feeling at one of the scratches on his back. If her head didn't hurt so much she would have smirked. She'd recognize her handiwork anywhere. And, considering how she felt, he'd left quite a few marks of his own. She also noticed that he was still very attractive. Oh good, at least that hadn't been the alcohol talking last night. The mention of a hangover potion immediately got her attention though. "Oh god, I hope so." And hopefully he had enough for two. But, if not, coffee was a welcome suggestion. "Yes please."
Rhys moved first, sluggishly getting up, partially dressed, and headed out to the other room. Maria didn't move for several moments, tempted to just close her eyes and god back to sleep. But... the smell of brewing coffee was too tempting. Oh, it was absolutely heavenly. What better way to combat a pounding hangover then some nice coffee? Hell, it didn't even have to be anything fancy. Struggling, she rolled over and sat up, her body practically screaming at her at the motion. A quick scan of the room, and she couldn't find any of her clothes. Well.. They definitely hadn't started in the bedroom last night. So, taking the next best thing, she took the bed sheet with her, lazily wrapping it around her shoulders, holding it closed with one hand as she stumbled to her feet and followed the direction of his voice. There was just as much destruction in the living room as the bedroom. Well, it had been a wild night, it seemed. "It smells amazing," she mused softly. She hadn't bothered to really take inventory yet of the damage, to her body or his apartment. No, she needed caffeine first.
Still keeping the sheet closed around her shoulders with one hand, she lifted one of the mugs with her free hand and took a deep breath, breathing in that heavenly coffee scent. She took a tentative sip, testing how hot the liquid was. It scalded but... Dear god this was exactly what she needed.

Rhys kept opening cabinets, gently moving things around to look for those damn potions. Had his head not hurt so he would have moved faster but everything he moved made a noise and right now the volume of all that noise was at about a fifteen out of ten. As he moved a few bottles of wolfsbane to the side he could have yelled with joy, there they were. He'd forgotten Jamie had delivered them with a recent stock of Wolfsbane and since he hadn't been home they had slipped his mind. Grabbing two vials he shifted the other potions back to their original position. By this point he heard movement behind him and he turned around and immediately paused. His memories were still coming back to him, but the sight of a probably one of the most beautiful women he's ever encountered in person and to add a cherry on top she was only clothed in a thin bedsheet.
The image was enough to make him completely forget his hangover until his head pulsed again and brought him back to Earth. He saw she already had grabbed a mug the look of pure pleasure on her face as she took that first sip might have riled him again if his body was betraying him in such an awful way. Rhys instead moved closer to her and his own mug of coffee and placed the potion on the countertop as on of her hands seemed dedicated to holding the bedsheet in place. It made a little more sense now, even sober such a woman would had an effect on him let alone after a full bottle of Bourbon and maximum need for self-indulgence. "Good morning, beautiful." He smiled, having found the potions put him in a better mood but so was waking up to this.
One thing he did remember from his blurry night was that attraction, that pull, that allure. It was still there so it hadn't been all the whiskey. For having been such an awful day filled with painful memories he supposed having made a new friend was the best he could have expected. Rhys pulled the cork out of the vial and drank the potion almost in the same motion had it been that shot of whiskey the previous night. The formula certainly wasn't the best tasting but he knew in a minute or two he would physically feel better. "Oh God, thank goodness for these." Rhys picked up his mug and stood next to Maria leaning against the empty counter and got a better view of his flat and the surveyed the extent of the chaos. "You know I can't say I've met many women who made wearing only a bedsheet look so damn sexy." Rhys commented playfully, the potion was helping immensely though he was still tired. He sipped the coffee hoping the effect would be quick.

Standing made Maria's head pound. The sound of his rummaging through the cabinets hurt her head. Hell, the stupid sunlight, peeking through the windows hurt. It seemed all Maria really knew right now was pain. That's what she got for getting so wasted... But hey, at least she had coffee. Coffee and a damn good looking shirtless man. Her eyes trailed after him, just casually taking in the sight as she took another sip of the scalding coffee. Though, her interest temporarily turned elsewhere when he moved to the counter, two vials in hand. Was that..? It had to be. "Good morning, handsome," she answered, practically mimicking him. Though... he was handsome. Now that she was, unfortunately, sober, though she couldn't help but... Feel a hint of familiarity. He reminded her of someone, just a touch. But... who?
Maria took another sip as she mulled it over. Trying to think of what was so familiar about him. She set her own coffee down on the counter, uncorked the other hangover potion, and dumped the contents into her coffee. She wasn't in the mood for trying to drink them separately. She needed caffeine, and she needed the hangover gone, now. Thankfully, the coffee helped mask the bitter taste of the potion. She picked up her mug again, sipping tentatively. Yup, could still taste it a bit, but the coffee made it much more tolerable. "Get drunk often?" While hangover potions were a godsend, it wasn't exactly something everyone kept in their cupboards (Maria obviously did though...). She was mid sip when he leaned on the counter, gaze wandering, and commenting on her attire. Maria couldn't help but feel smug at the compliment, a coy smile gracing her lips. "I doubt you've met many women like me." She followed his gaze, they really had made quite the mess. "But, from the look of things, I think you enjoyed it quite a bit." She supposed she'd have to help him clean up. It was the least she could do, since she'd been a part of all the destruction. But, not before she finished her coffee.
Maria finished the rest of her coffee. Partially for the caffeine, but mostly for the hangover potion she'd dumped into it. It'd take a few to kick in, but the idea of relief exponentially helped her mood.

Rhys smiled, evidently she had noticed his stash of potions in the still empty cabinet. Was it a great habit? No, of course not but it wasn't the worst thing he could be doing and in these chaotic times it was less and less such a bad thing. "It doesn't hurt to have around." He replied, sipping the warm liquid. As soon as the liquid touch his tongue he felt a sense of relief. Coffee was one of the few substances that crossed into all communities magical or not and he'd been intrigued when he was first introduced as a boy. Naturally, tea was more popular and he liked a good cup of tea but coffee was merely another silent addiction.
Rhys nodded his head, she certainly was not wrong in that department. They were still recovering from the previous night but he surveyed the damage as commented on their activeness the night before. She wasn't wrong there either, and it made him glance down at his chest and near his shoulders. "It looks like you did too." If anything Rhys would definitely make an effort to see her again, there was something about her and he felt positively drawn to her. She was beautiful but she also was witty and if last night was any indicator she was someone he wouldn't have to restrain himself around--at least in that department. The idea was terribly inviting.
He shrugged and drank more of the life-bringing liquid, between that and the potion he was feeling better. The headache fading away though still lingering lightly and the scratches could be taking care of simple healing spells. Rhys was hardly a trained medic but enough basic first aid to account for the things that popped up while working. "Don't worry about the mess, its nothing that can't be easily fixed." With all his time away he hardly kept expensive things out even as decoration even the few photos he kept around could be placed in a new frame.

Maria chuckled under her breath, relating to that statement. She wouldn't call herself an alcoholic, but she did enjoy her liquor. So, better safe then sorry, right? Setting her now empty mug on the counter she leans forward, elbows on the countertop, and adjusting her grip on the bedsheet just a touch. Her gaze wandered back to Rhys, slowly looking him up and down once more. Despite all the activity last night, she had a sultry look in her eyes. It looked like most his "injures" were just scratches, and a few blossoming bruises. No burns, as far as she could tell. So she must have at least exercised some restraint. Maria rarely burned people for pleasure, but there were a few instances... "I most certainly did," she mused, still eyeing him. After a moment, she smirked and looked away. While she would have loved to go another round or two, she didn't think either of their bodies was quite up to it yet.
Well, while she didn't have work until the evening, she couldn't exactly spend all day here. She pushed away from the counter, her gaze dropping to the floor, searching for her discarded clothing. She spotted her dress first, tossed to the side by a side table. She was kneeling to scoop it up, when she froze. There, on the ground, was one of the broken picture frames. He was just in the middle of saying not to worry about it, and she would just ignored the frame, but a familiar face caught her attention. Actually. a few familiar faces. At first, Maria felt a flicker of anger. Jamie and Maxima Greyback. Ugh, what bitches. Why did Rhys have a photo of those "holier-than-thou" freaks? Then, her breath caught in her throat.
Elias.
There was a roaring in her ears. The reason she'd been drinking all night to begin with flooding back. Dead. Elias. And next to Elias in the photo... Rhys. There wasn't a huge resemblance. But, seeing them next to each other.... She saw it. The family resemblance. The Greyback resemblance.
Maria tentatively picked up the frame, not caring about the broken glass, but careful not to touch it. She didn't know this photo. But she knew when it had to have been taken. During the tournament. Probably towards the end of it, considering Jamie and Elias hadn't gotten on (because of Maria) the first half of the year. "Why do you have this photo..?" Her voice felt small as she spoke. She wouldn't say it herself, couldn't bring herself to utter the words aloud. But she needed to hear them. "Why do you have a photo of Elias?" God, let her be wrong.

She didn't respond when he spoke about the damage and really it looked like she had frozen in her spot. Shifting to face the living room properly he furrowed his brows wondering if she had possibly stepped on some glass or something. Instead he watched as she picked up the broken frame with a picture in it. Even from this distance he recognized which picture it was since really he had all of three of them visible in his flat. It was them, his family. Rhys had been confused, shocked and then elated to find out he had younger siblings. Growing up an orphan he really had never imagined this was remotely a possibility but he had to wait until he was seventeen to learn this new information. Jamie had been in her first year. And then the following year Adrian (Jamie had owled about that) and then Maxima and lastly the twins.
The interesting part was if you really paid attention you could tell they were related but genetics had been kind to them in that they didn't resemble the literal beast Fenrir was, although who knew what his appearance had been prior to his physical transformation. "Why do you have this photo?" Rhys stepped forward as she continued to stare fixated the photo of of the seven of them. Rhys had come to Hogwarts one Jamie had owled him about Elias knowing very well he wanted to meet him. Rhy was confused and his face showed it, why did she care about a photo?
"Why do you have this photo of Elias?" She demanded although her voice not very loud and he paused, how did she know his name? After yesterday it still stung to hear his name spoken out loud and he hadn't been prepared for that. "Elias is..." He paused again "...was my younger brother." He explained, since the coffee his hand was now forgotten and not a priority he set it down on the coffee table and stood crossing his arms now. The mood in the room had clearly shifted and he sensed it, he sensed her newfound tension and his own defensiveness coming back. The self-control, the composure. "How do you know Elias?" He asked.
Who was this woman in which he'd found a partner in misery? And how did she know his brother?

Elias was his younger brother.
The words were like a bucket of cold water. The hangover was still raging in her head (though slowly going away from the potion), and her body was still horribly sore but she momentarily forgot all of it. His brother. Her dead cousin's brother. Well, half brother. Elias had only had siblings on the Greyback side. But the point remained. Maria had just slept with her dead cousin's half brother.
Maria didn't answer immediately. Just stared at the photo. Emotion started to return. Anger that Elias was dead. Depression that Elias was dead. Hatred of the two Greyback girls who'd, in her mind, tried to take Elias away from her. Helplessness of losing one of the few people she'd ever trusted. Elias looked so... happy. In the photo. He'd had a real family. Not some broken psychotic bitch, like Maria. Maybe if she hadn't been such a bitch their seventh year the explosion would have ended up differently. Maybe he would have survived somehow. He'd been her only family. But he'd had more. He hadn't needed her like she needed him. "That's why you were drinking yesterday... wasn't it? The anniversary of his death." She didn't answer who he was to her yet. Her mind was still reeling. And slowly.... she could feel the fire inside starting to burn. The building pressure of emotions.
Then, the fire inside her chest burst, as if gasoline was poured on top. She dropped the frame, scooping up her dress and trying to find the rest of her discarded clothes. "You're his-" There was a string of clearly expletives that follows, though in Bulgarian instead of English. "brother. How does that work.... Does that make us... No... But oh my god..." She wasn't talking to him, instead trying to compose her own thoughts on the situation. She'd found her underwear by that point, and was now trying to find her shoes.
