This was a pain. Orion was looking forward to Herbology. It was one of his favorite subjects. Half way through the class, his arm simply grazed a thorned branch. It could have been a number of plants, but fact was, he now had a cut on his arm. Any other student would just shrug it off. But Orion was different. He was hastened to the hospital wing for the nurse to assist in healing it. He was sure that Ocean was worried, but it was just about lunch time, and he would meet up with his brother in the great hall. He gave a sign as he left the room after hearing the nurse repeat about safety. He knew that he had to be careful, It wasn't as if he was going to tell woman that he and soem friends were goofing around a bit right before it happened.
Leaving the hospital wing, the boy was looking down at his arm where the cut had happened when he bumped into someone. "Sorry about that" giving a sly smile.

▲ Whoever thought it was a good idea to have Divination directly following Care of Magical Creatures was an absolute lunatic, and Charlie was already getting tired of it. She knew that it was partially her fault, with both being elective classes at this point, but there had to be a better way than forcing her to literally run from the grounds to one of the highest points in the castle in less than thirty minutes. And that was on a good day. It, for whatever reason, fell between one of the major lunch hours, which meant having to wade through crowds of students going in every feasible direction. Talk about getting punched when she was already down. Back to back classes the furthest distance from each other and during lunch time? The Divination classroom wasn’t exactly known to be the most energetic place in the world, and while she enjoyed the studies immensely, it was, at times, literally impossible to keep the Sandman away from her eyelids. Especially after running up all those stairs. She was practically asking for a nap at that point, exhausted and hungry. Thankfully today she had managed to make it up the hill from the grounds and through the entrance hall with little to no problem. Except that when she made it to the top of the stairs, she remembered that they needed their crystal balls for class today. Trying not to groan in frustration as she turned on her heels and jumped down the stairs two at a time until she reached basement level and the Hufflepuff common room, Charlie lost time that she knew she was going to need if she ran into a traffic jam at the moving staircases. The only silver lining she could find in all of it was that she had managed to remember she needed the crystal ball before reaching class. While the professor had loaners, she sort of preferred hers. It leaned heavily in her love life at times, and that was what she was most interested in. The school ones were always about doom and gloom, a rather depressing bunch of glass. Repeating her tracks back up the main entrance staircase and onto the first floor, she didn’t even see the person that she bumped into, at least not until she felt her grip on the crystal ball start to slip. She watched it fall in what felt like slow-motion, immediately expecting it to shatter into dust. Instead, it bounced on the marble floor with a thunk, and Charlie stared at it wide-eyed and starting to pull at her hair as the boy she had run into apologized for bumping into her. She couldn’t even manage out a word as she stared at the crystal ball, assuming that it was a trick of the light and it had actually smashed all over the floor. @orion ● 478 ● Chasing Dials by Blanco White MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Upon impact of this mystery person, Orion heard thump. After apologizing, he looked at the source of the sound. It was a crystal ball. Now, he wasn't the type who enjoyed the art of divination. But he didn't think it was a sham, like others did. If anything, being a druid helped him realize that. He could feel the connection he had with the earth, and other magical creatures. But it, also, wasn't a class that he felt like he could take seriously.
Before the girl had a chance to react, seeing as she hadn't even acknowledged his presence, Orion wiped out his wand "Wingardium Leviosa" He changed, giving an exceptional swish and flick that was required with the words. Instantly, the crystal ball started to float around above his head. His smile widened at the spell.

▲ Watching the crystal ball roll on the floor after she dropped it, Charlie immediately realized that she probably should have taken a look at her fortune for the day, because that definitely would have prevented all of this. She had all manners of objects and fortune telling toys that were required for Divination class, the crystal ball being only one of them. In her opinion, the crystal ball wasn’t even that great of one. Supposedly it helped channel things for clairvoyants and the likes (which she wasn’t), but all she ever saw was foggy clouds and maybe a brief flash of an unknown face or object inside it. Most of the time it was just someone walking by on the other side and the ball made it look like she was getting a signal. Her personal favorite were tarot cards because a lot of people liked them regardless of their belief in magic. It made it easier for her to practice reading them with less stigma. Slapping a crystal ball down on a table in front of an unsuspecting no-maj or one of her siblings didn’t always work the way she hoped it would. Speaking of the crystal ball, she heard the boy she had run into say an incantation and the ball floated up in front of her, and then over to him. Charlie had to get to her feet in order to watch it closely, and the ball ended up levitating over the boy’s head. Obviously if it was able to do that, she hadn’t accidentally smashed it all over the ground, so that was good. But why was he levitating it? “Thanks for grabbing it for me,” she stated, holding her hands out expectantly, hoping he’d float the ball into them. “Oh…and uh, sorry about running into you. You’re all good, right?” She’d never seen the boy before, but the same could be said about the majority of the non-Ilvermorny students at Hogwarts. Heck, she didn’t even know a good portion of the kids from her own school! Being busy staring at star charts or trying to dig up snakes in the woods sort of made it difficult to meet new people. Plus she really only needed her siblings and one or two others… @orion ● 377 ● Drifting Far Away by Mondo Loops MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Getting hurt wasn't anything new to Orion. But he was on edge, having to miss his favorite class for a trip to the hospital wing. Bumping into the girl was just a cause and effect. Having a naturally close relationship to nature himself, the druid boy wasn't one to discount any specialized or peculiar forms of magic. He had nothing against Divination, though the class was boring and dull. There were some people who had the sight and those who didn't. Normally, he would have just brushed past the girl and went on his way to find his twin. But the boy wasn't in the best mood. Then there was the girl, she had bumped into him, and dropped her crystal ball.
The levitating charm was easy. Taught in year one. He watched as the object floated, he watched it until it was satisfyingly above his head, and certainly out of the girls reach. He looked down at girl with his smile. What made her think that he was simply going to just give it to her? Did she not know who he was? "Oh, I'm fine." He said, smile still apparent the boy looked at the girls hand "And what is it that you're wishing to receive?" He asked impishly, already knowing the answer.

▲ Well, she supposed it was alright if neither she nor the boy were hurt, and her crystal ball managed to stay in one piece. There were a million possibilities where that whole series of events could have gone worse. Obviously she was starting to think this was retribution in the strings of fate for not properly reading star charts over the last month correctly, or forgetting to get her palms read by a professional before the start of the term. A lot of this could have easily been avoided had she taken proper precautions! But, once again, it could have all gone much more awry than it actually did. So somewhere along the way she had done something correctly. Whether or not it was taking two classes back to back at the furthest points on the grounds from each other, she wasn’t sure, but today she was spared a little bit of misery. “That’s good,” she said, eyes going back up to the crystal ball floating over his head. Why was he taking so long to give it back? That didn’t really make a lot of sense, at least not until he asked her what she was ‘wishing to receive’. Charlie looked at him funny, confused at first by his choice of phrasing, then realizing that he wanted her to ask for it again. Maybe she hadn’t been specific enough when thanking him for lifting the ball up? “My crystal ball?” she asked, still confused on what he was getting at. “I’m sort of in a rush. I have Divination in like, twenty minutes. And that’s all the way-” She made a walking motion with her fingers to signify having to climb the dozen or so flights of stairs between here and there. Charlie wasn’t particularly slow moving, but having to carry her crystal ball and her books up all that always took her awhile. She really didn’t want to waste any more time, which was the reason for her rushing in the first place. “So if you could just lower it down a bit, I’ll grab it and be on my way,” Charlie added, flashing a smile at the boy, still holding her hands out in anticipation. @orion ● 368 ● 7 O'Clock News/Silent Night by Phoebe Bridgers MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

The girl seemed glad that he wasn't hurt during the impact, and honestly, so was he. Ocean would go simply mad if he found out that Orion got hurt not just once, but twice in one day. luckily there seemed to be nothing to break his skin. He would have to watch out for excessive bruising over the next few days, but he didn't think that the girl had hit him hard enough, and the crystal ball had missed him. So he was sure he'd be safe. Merlin help the girl if she had caused some internal damage to him. Ocean would go on a rampage looking for her. His brother wasn't the most level headed out there, it was Orion's responsibility to manage, and perhaps focus his, and his brothers pent up energy.
He knew all too well what the girl was wanting. But he lunch now, and hadn't spotted his identical twin yet, so what else was he to do? He held his wand up, still levitating the object out of reach. Her confusion sparked his mischievous side. Did she really not know who he was? Was she expecting anything different? “I’m sort of in a rush." she continued. That made since, she did seem to be in a hurry. He knew where the Divinations class room was. She defiantly had a ways to go. Perhaps he could stall her just a bit longer. "Divinations you say. So you either have the sight, or wish that you did." He smirked again "Which do you way you have?"

▲ Her crystal ball was still being levitated just out of arm’s reach. Charlie stared at the boy, quizitive at first, and then realized that getting back her belonging wasn’t going to be nearly as easy as she initially thought it was going to be. While it didn’t happen nearly as often as it did growing up, she wasn’t unaware what teasing another person looked like. She had seven siblings and it had definitely happened more than once in her sixteen years of life. If this was retribution for accidentally running into him, it was beyond being petty. Charlie didn’t think she had a vindictive bone in her body, but she had siblings that could be at times. The boy’s scarlet and gold tie told her he was a Gryffindor, and she was sure Monday would be more than happy to have a few words with him if given the chance. Her crystal ball was expensive, and she didn’t want to lose or break it even if her parents did have the money to replace it a hundred times over. The boy was asking if she had the sight, which Charlie assumed to mean being a seer. She shook her head side to side, starting to eye him a little more suspiciously. “No, I don’t have it. Why? I didn’t know it was a crime to like the divine arts.” Her voice came out slightly more aggressive than she would have liked, but it was becoming abundantly clear that this boy had no intention of giving her the crystal ball back right now. Just because she wasn’t a seer didn’t mean she was completely incompetent when it came to other divination forms. She could do all of the mundane things, like reading tarot cards and tea leaves, and she occasionally caught glimpses of things in her crystal ball. This guy was giving off the feeling that he only believed true divination masters were those that were gifted, which was so incredibly untrue. There were still a few things she could do, and that was good enough for her. @orion ● 347 ● 10: 16 by Spiritbox MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Levitating the girls crystal ball away from her wasn't what Orion would consider petty. He was mostly board, and she was there. He could tell, by her uniform, that she was a Hufflepuff. He knew that they were mostly harmless, and were less likely to cause a fuss. They were fun to mess with.
He asked the girl if she was a seer or just enjoyed the divinations class. The girl shook her head. He signed, bringing the crystal ball into his hand. "Never said it was a cram, just curious." He respected all types of magic, but he figured that divinations was near impossible if someone didn't have the sight, even a little bit. "Heard the old divinations professor used to be something of a nutter. Is that still the case?"
