Sav sighed a little under his breath, that wasn’t what he meant at all. He knew that she loved him, he knew that she cared, he even knew that she cared way too much. That was more what he meant. He wanted her to stop caring, just a little, and give them the space to make those decisions in their lives for themselves. He knew Shreya would appreciate it too. But there was no use fighting. He didn’t want to make her upset, and he didn’t want to upset himself either. He was fairly hotheaded, though it had gotten easier for him to control his temper through the years. She added that she was still dealing with the things that happened when she was his age and he nodded, he knew how awful that must have been for her then, but surely she must know that they’re going through the same things now. Though, he knew she didn’t know how in the thick of it Sav was with his role in Heliopath. “I know it’s been tough, and I don’t blame you for overthinking or being anxious. I just think it’s time to acknowledge that you don’t have to treat us like we're kids anymore.” they were going through a war too. Or at least at the start of one. Plus, he was going to be a father.
Sav shrugged. “I don’t care that things have been hard. Maybe I did when I was younger, but it’s just a part of life by now.” he added finally. And he certainly didn’t feel the need to talk about it. He wasn’t an emotional guy. He wasn’t someone who wanted to talk about his feelings. Especially when it came to his family. He was strength, speed, and muscle. He wasn’t very emotional or empathetic when it came to most situations.

November 2025 "I know it’s been tough, and I don’t blame you for overthinking or being anxious. I just think it’s time to acknowledge that you don’t have to treat us like we're kids anymore," Sav told her. He and Shreya were always going to be her kids, even when they had children of their own. Sav was sure to understand that eventually, but Parvati understood that it wasn't going to kill her—or them—to breathe and try to let go a little bit more.
Sav added that he didn't care that things had been hard. "Maybe I did when I was younger," he said, "but it’s just a part of life by now.”
That did make Parvati hurt, that he was so used to things' being hard that he'd stopped caring about it. On the other hand, she supposed that at least it meant that he wasn't going to be crushed by anything, and at least Quidditch had taught him that he couldn't always win. Outside of flying around a pitch, though, it was a hard lesson to learn. No matter how good one's intentions were, things wouldn't always go well. Bad things happened to good people.
"Thank you for being patient with me," Parvati replied to that, swallowing heavily. It was better than apologizing again. She wasn't trying to play the martyr. "I promise I'll do better to remember that you're grown, Sav," she confirmed. "And promise me you'll talk to someone if you're ever feeling overwhelmed? I don't mean that you have to talk to me, necessarily, but…" She understood if he didn't want to come to her with his problems, but he at least needed to know that it was okay to talk about how he was feeling.

Sav wasn’t sure how much he believed that his mother would make the attempts that she was stating that she would, but that wasn’t really the point. It didn’t really bother him much anymore. He was on his own now, he didn’t have to worry about going home on Holidays and having to listen to her and deal with her protectiveness. He was going to be a father now, and he wanted her to be involved with the baby as she should be as their grandmother, but he didn’t want her to try to take control of the situation and feel like this was some mess he made that she had to take responsibility for or clean up. And that was his main worry. “I appreciate that.” he said nonetheless. She asked him to promise her that he would speak to someone if he was feeling overwhelmed. Sav nodded, though he had no plans to do so. Honestly he couldn’t remember the last time he really felt overwhelmed. He had been so used to stress and pressure from Quidditch and his social life for as long as he could remember. It was almost easier now that he didn’t have to pretend to focus on school as well. But he wanted to leave his mom feeling some sense of assurance. “I will. If I need to.” he said.
((wrap it up unless there's something else I forgot??))

November 2025 Especially now that he was going to be a father, Parvati knew that there was only so much influence that she could have over Sav's life and decisions. She couldn't force him to take the time to sit down with someone and work through his emotions or any issues that he might have been having, but giving him a little reminder that it wasn't a shameful thing if he needed or wanted to talk. Parvati was fully aware that it was something that she should have done for herself long before she had ever gone to see a psychiatric Healer at St. Mungo's, and she didn't want Sav to fall into the same trap. As much as she loved her children, she knew that parenthood—and impending parenthood—were stressful, even at the best of times.
Sav told her that he would seek out help if he needed it, and that was all she could ask. It wouldn't emasculate him, and it didn't have to signal that anything was seriously wrong. If he and Ana ever had a row, that didn't mean that they were automatically headed for the same hell that had been her marriage to Ernie, Parvati knew. It was normal to have stressors, yet she knew plenty of people who preferred to go the route of pretending that they didn't exist.
"Good," she nodded to Sav. "As long as you know that it's an option," she reminded him. "I just want to make sure that you're taking care of yourself."
