CW: Druid mushroom use
October 31, 2025 The barrier incident had put something of a damper on their usual Samhain celebrations on the island, but Sadhbh Wormwood was determined to have a good time nonetheless. Festivals were glorious, and she felt absolutely amazing. Some of that might have been due to the magic mushrooms that she had already consumed, of course, but that was fairly typical of her and of Druid celebrations in general. With the wreath of leaves that Fiona had crafted for her atop her head, she had played her harp earlier in the evening.
Now, though, Sadhbh was just enjoying herself, the wreath atop her head slightly askew from how much she had been dancing as she mingled about. So many of the tourists, it seemed, had been more interested in attending Zombie Island, which sounded to Sadhbh like the furthest thing possible from Hy-Brasil. That was okay. She didn't miss the tourists, but—under the influence of mushrooms—she really just loved everyone.
The music being played was so vibrant that she could almost see it dancing and shimmering in front of her, though her coordination was too far gone to play any music for herself. It was so beautiful, and she smiled over at Fiona. "Thank you again for my crown, Fiona!" she told her in Brasilic, her voice even more airy than usual.

It had almost been a month since the barrier incident, and it certainly did put a damper on the girls little booth. But Fiona wasn't one to let anything bring her down. She knew that both good and bad things happened. You had to take each thing as they were, pause, respect, then move on. If you dwelt on things for too long it tended to have ill effects on the person. Just look at their young council member Fae. Now that was a Druid that didn't know how to have fun, according to the twins at least. There was absolutely nothing that she could do, so why wouldn't she relax and have a good time. Now was the time to celebrate the beginning of winter. They also celebrated Yule. There were less tourists, and while bad for business, it meant that Fiona could relax, rather than make new things. She had made plenty over the last few months in preparation for another celebration, that likewise had less guests than normal.
Fiona was going to have fun at this festival. She had already decided that. Did she partake in the mushrooms? Yes, yes she did. She had hapily made flower and leaf crowns for fellow Druids, along with plenty to sell to those who wanted to join in the spirit. she, herself had one of sticks and leaves. She had also encorperated some small stones, along with a few small sections of mistletoe, which had many tales around this time of year. While she loved everything she made, the girl tended to keep her favorite for herself. Occasionally she will give one away, but normally to a Druid with a fair trade. It made Fiona happy to see many of her made items around as she roamed the celebration. She had brought her panflute, and had played along to the songs as she wondered around. She knew the tunes by heart. Fiona danced around while playing her panflute, which was the reason she was careful not to take too much mushrooms. She needed some level of coordination to do this. The impish girl danced and played like the namesake of her flute. The ancient muggle story of a deity satyr of rustic music and the wild. There were times when the girl stumbled, but she just made it look like part of her dance. Not many people seemed to notice. That could be in part that many of them had taken quite a bit of magic mushrooms.
As the song she was playing with concluded, she stopped dancing for a quick break. "Thank you again for my crown, Fiona!" Fiona looked to the way of the sound. Fiona smiled when she saw Sadhbh with the younger girls creation on her head. "I'm so glad you like it Sadhbh. Have you enjoying the festival?" By the sound of the woman's voice, it seemed as though she was.

TW/CW: Druid mushroom use
October 31, 2025 Fiona asked her if she had been enjoying the festival. Why wouldn't she have been? What wasn't there to enjoy? The troubles that they had had with the barrier and with the interference of the Ministry because of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy were a moot point. Mushrooms were the easiest fix for that. Sadhbh didn't know how many she had consumed or how long ago it had been. She had lost track of time, but she didn't need to keep time. No one needed to keep time. They just had to follow what nature dictated for them. They were Druids. It had been a part of their lives for as long as their collective memory stretched back. Eons. Eternities. Sadhbh wasn't in any hurry to go anywhere. She was present. She was where she needed to be physically.
Mentally, she might as well have been on a cloud or among the stars and not on Earth. She was really dancing somewhere in the galaxy, far above her head. From childhood, she knew the constellations well. She knew how the position of the sun and the moon could determine so many things. The gods had willed it to be so. The harvest was good, and she was so grateful. She could have waltzed among the stars or tiptoed from planet to planet. What time was it? "Early" and "late" were nothing but relative terms. When it got too late, it became early again. Why it did, Sadhbh couldn't have said. It just did. The gods would have known. Maybe someone should have asked them. Could she ask them? It sounded like a good idea. The gods were always receptive when asked kindly.
Everything was ethereal. Everything was light. Even without music to guide her movements, Sadhbh swayed a little, following her instinct alone. What was her physical person, anyway? It was just a form. It was her human form, rather than her hare form. She couldn't imagine life confined to just one. That was the beauty of choice. It was the beauty of everything. She could see the world from multiple perspectives. Maybe she couldn't see the entire world from every perspective, but she felt as though she could.
"Yes. Blessed Samhain," Sadhbh smiled. It was truly blessed. They were always so blessed. "Should I get you some wine?" she offered. Oh, was there wine! There was more wine than they knew what to do with. The best thing to do with it was drink it. Sadhbh wouldn't have been opposed to that idea at all, but it was too much wine for any one person to consume. And she had to keep in mind the rituals. She always followed the rituals.

TW/CW: Druid mushroom, and substance use witnessed
By the appearance of the woman, it seemed obvious that the she was enjoying, but it was a good segment of small talk that could lead to a conversation. And while Fiona believed in fully enjoying the good moments, some Druids still seemed stressed about the recent events and the ongoing project to retrieve all the missing creatures. But their celebrations where beyond that. The Druid culture had some modern aspects to it, but for the most part, it was ancient. The old customs and ideals that they held were beyond modern society. Fiona dreaded the full modernization of Hy-Brasil and preyed that it would never happen. She just hoped that the council could keep their ways as they were, and still appease the Ministry's demands. In Fiona's opinion, the Ministry didn't really have much power over them, and should be allowed to overstep what they already had. The kids regularly left for their standardized exams, and could come and go from the island as they pleased once they were old enough. But the freedom that she felt on the island was the thing that she never wanted to go away.
People celebrated in their own way, together. There were many who had settled down, so influenced by substances that they probably didn't know what they were, let alone where they were. All the way to those, like Fiona who had consumed enough to feel happy and good, but still able to keep her faculties to play and dance. That was an important thing for her to have fun. It wasn't every day that she acted this way, their festivals were the best excuse to do so. While she wasn't one to pay much attention to time. But that was normal for her. She did what she felt she should do when she felt it. You could call it intuitive movements. Because of this, she spent many nights in the wildwood, on Dragon's Tooth, or out with the centaurs, rather than in her own bed.
Sadhbh exclaimed in response to Fiona's question. The girl smiled back at the woman, who seemed to be in and exceptionally high state of mind. The girl was so glad that things had been balanced out. There had been something tragic, earlier, and now the good times of the festival helped bring things back from a stressful time. "Should I get you some wine?" Fiona nodded, it was the best offer that she had all night. She knew that their harvest had been great this year, even if there were some concerns earlier. Now they celebrated. It was now the time of Winter and Yule. "Is there any better way to toast to the festival?" She smiled, what a time it was.

TW/CW: Druid mushroom use
October 31, 2025 Getting much of a proper conversation out of Sadhbh when she was in the state she was in was a challenge, but it didn't matter much when most of the other Druids were also under the influence of at least one substance, if not another. It couldn't be called a "vice", in the way that some of the tourists to Hy-Brasil viewed it, when it was a normal, accepted part of their culture. It was just a shame that outsiders couldn't see it from their point of view, which was something that Sadhbh had always held to be true. But under the influence of Druid mushrooms, when everything was a feast for the senses? That was even truer for her than it typically was.
It was nice not to give things very much thought. Joy and merriment were the order of the day. There was nothing more. It was beautiful to see things so… clearly. Everything had such stunning auras. If she could have been in that state of mind perpetually, Sadhbh thought, she wouldn't have minded it.
Even some of the younger Druids, such as Fiona, were partaking in the mushrooms—not that Sadhbh was one to judge. Fiona was old enough to be enjoying them responsibly, and she also agreed to some wine. "Is there any better way to toast to the festival?"
"Of course not," Sadhbh answered in English. Biased though she might have been as a winemaker, she couldn't think of any better way, at least. She motioned to Fiona to wait for her, and she went off to grab a bottle of wine.
Not long after, she returned to Fiona with an uncorked bottle of red wine held by its neck in one hand and a wine glass—which she balanced precariously by its stem—in the other. A sommelier while intoxicated herself Sadhbh was not, but it didn't matter to her. She held out the glass to Fiona and waited for her to take it, poised to pour her a glass.

TW/CW:Underage druid mushroom use
Fiona enjoyed her wine, and partaking mushrooms on occasion. This was a celebration, an occasion to have fun. She hadn't had as much as many of the other druids that surrounded her. And some tourists would think that it was wrong to allow children to partake of said substances. But it was apart of their culture, their relation. It also helped milder Fiona become much more outgoing, and simply bubbly. The girl was in a good mood, feeling simply radiant. She found that the mushrooms assisted in her natural desire to follow the natural flow of things, or rather, do what she wanted when she felt it was right to do it. The girl lived her life like that, the druid friendly fungus just helped things flow blend together.
Now was a time for celebration. While there had been some bad things, there had to have also had quite a few good things. This was a time to enjoy, and have a good time. Fiona also had started to see colors dancing off of people. The more she took, the better she felt, she also loved to look at the vibrant colors that surrounded her.
"Of course not," That was the best way to tribute the coming of the season. But it was interesting that the woman spoke in English. The girl gestured for Fiona to stay there, but sitting still wasn't quite possible for the moment. It didn't take long for the girl to start to sway to the music again. She hadn't moved too far from that spot when Sadhbh had returned. Fiona saw the bottle, with red and purple color leaping from it. Slowing her movements, the girl took the outstretched glass. Finally managing to steady herself with anticipation for the colors to fill inside it. "Is this one of yours?"
