SINCE THE WEEKLY PARTY WHICH simply felt so long ago, Bryelle felt like she was completely out of the loop. Hearing from gossip as well as note sharing from others across the houses, Bryelle had heard Jimmie had gotten a right hook to the face. And it was then Bryelle knew she was stupid to decline the request, instead spending that day in particular to study over the summer break. Regardless of the rumours, whispers of the party never seemed to die down and with curiosity crawling down the Goyle's back...She simply wanted answers.
Strolling through the Zombie island with a bunch of other students, Bryelle hit up the stalls first, obtaining as much candy as she could. Stuffing a few into her mouth, her tongue circling over a particular sweet flavour, a recognisable face almost walked right past her. "Thursday? Thursday Weekly?" She called out, hoping to get the girls attention.
@thursday & hopefully this works! sorry for the long wait!

Zombie Island wasn't something that appealed to the little half vampire. She would much rather be studying, or doing extra credit, or working on coding for her video game. Those were her top priorities during the school year. They only slightly shifted during the summer. When some of her siblings approached her, wanting to go together, she wanted to say no. But they made two very compelling points. First, she was in fact ahead when it came to required assignments for her classes, having completed everything earlier in the day. And second, they would buy her sweets. Thursday had a sweet tooth that only another half vampire could truly understand. She was perfectly able to purchase her own sweets, and in fact she even had a hoard to herself up in her area of her dorm. But getting more, and at the hands of her siblings was enough to bribe the small girl to go. But they had all wanted to go into the haunted corn maze. That was too much. She didn't want to get scared, and with a bag of candy, pastries and other sweets hanging on her arm, there was little they could do to convince her to go. So instead she wondered on her own.
She was just finishing up her third chocolate pumpkin cupcake when someone said her name. She wasn't surprised at being recognized. She had a unique name that was easy to remember, she was shorter than most of the others in her class, and she had soft pink hair. The girl knew that she wasn't hard to miss. She looked around, and soon saw who was calling her. Bryelle Goyle. If she remembered correctly, Bryelle was in the same house as Monday and Friday. "Hi Bryelle." She said, wondering what the seventh year Gryffindor wanted with her.

BRYELLE HAD HEARD THURSDAY ENJOYED a few candies here and there. The rumour was Bryelle's own attempt to get some kind of information out of the Weekly, only so the Goyle could spill the information onto her friend Lily. "Hey." She smiled softly, noting the small cupcake in the pink-haired girls hand before raising a small bag of goodies she had got for herself. With slightly full cheeks, she waved the bag in front of the Weekly girl with a warm smile. "You like candy right?" It sounded like a weird question, something a creep would ask if they were trying to get something out of someone else...And yet truthfully, Bryelle was trying to learn new information.
Sighing quickly and getting over her nice act, she opened the bag to share her sweets with the younger girl. "Okay, I'm actually offering some just for...Some information...Gossip I guess." Bryelle didn't go to the party for her own reasons, mainly to brush up on her study materials and prepare whatever stupid exams she was expecting to face.

As Thursday walked up to the girl, she wiped her mouth, seeing some frosting coming off on the back of her hand. So, what did she do? She licked it right off. Why waist perfectly good frosting? With a sugar high, Thursday didn't care too much who saw, or what they thought. The girl seemed really nice, right now, but she wasn't so sure about her. Did she want something? The two had never talked before.
It didn't take long for Bryelle to raise her bag. It was obviously what was in it. "You like candy right?" She watched the bag, then looked suspiciously at the girl. "Yeeea. I do." Maybe more than normal half vampires. Many would say that she had a problem. But that wasn't all she was. She had been taught, probably stricter than others, not to take candy from strangers. When she was young, her parents learned quickly that she could be bribed by sweets. So, the message was drilled into her head well from the time she joined the Weekly family. It wasn't a question that she heard very often anymore. Those who knew her, or that she was a demi-human, just knew.
The friendly act didn't last long though. The girl opened the bag and moved to as if to share with Thursday. The suspicious look grew stronger. She really wasn't sure about this. So, she did what her parents told her. She didn't take any candy from the practically strange girl. She wanted gossip? About what? Thursday wasn't really the gossiping type. Thursday took a step away from the girl, finishing the treat in her hand. "What kind of information are you looking for?" Thursday was a quick study, and a smart girl. She helped some of her siblings prepare for their exams. But she was positive that Bryelle wasn't looking for study tips.

BUYING CANDY SEEMED TO WORK in Bryelle's favour as within seconds of speaking and announcing of said candy, she had the Weekly girl's interest. Bryelle's smile only grew a little wider as she watched Thursday's eyes move from her own, over to the bag and back - eyes now filled with suspicion. It felt like a muggle drug deal, when really Bryelle simply wanted to catch up on things she had overheard. It was her own fault for not attending the Weekly party and now she was regretting every aspect of it. But as Bryelle opened the bag, she noticed Thursday's glare grow worse. "I promise I'm not gonna...hurt you or anything." She smiled, offering the first piece of candy to her.
"Everything about your party! Well...Yours and your siblings party. I heard there was fights! Jimmie Blishwick?" Bryelle's eyes widened then as she spoke, filled with curiosity and interest. "That's it I promise!...I didn't have the chance to go so I'm truthfully trying to...catch up."

"I promise I'm not gonna...hurt you or anything." Thursday didn't trust this girl, she even took half a step back. She wasn't afraid of getting hurt, she just didn't like where this was going. The young part-vampire wasn't much into gossip, or telling secrets about her family members. The girl offered a piece of candy, but Thursday didn't take it. She felt that if she did accept, there would be an expected information exchange. She wasn't above bribes, being there proved that. But she already had candy and sweets, and it was from her siblings. She wouldn't take part in just any situation of quid pro quo.
The girl then began to elaborate about the party that Friday through. She called it "their party" as if all the Weekly's partook in the planning and throwing of it. She shook her head. Thursday had heard of some altercation, but she didn't recognize the name that the girl dropped. The younger girl waited until Bryelle was done before talking. "I think you have the wrong person. I stole a cake, along with the blood lollipops, and then spent the entire night in my room playing video games." Well, that wasn't entirely true, but it was close enough. The girl had spent some time at the party, devising the perfect way to steal the cake. She got help from a new friend, and they spent the rest of the night talking and playing games. But just as she was loyal to her family, she felt the same way about friends. The girl gave a shrug "Sorry Bryelle, guess you miscalculated."

NOTING THAT THURSDAY WASN'T OPENING up to her at all, Bryelle decided to stop pressing at the matter. Instead, Bryelle stuck her own hand in her bag of candy and pulled one out, eating it quietly to herself. It wasn't her intention to make the Weekly girl uncomfortable but with some time passing since the party and Bryelle still fairly clueless on all of it, she was hoping someone would catch her up to speed about it sometime soon. She nodded in understanding as Thursday responded to her, showing she was listening as well. "So you know...Nothing?" She clarified in question, digging around in her small bag for another piece of candy.
"That's fine I guess. Maybe I'll ask Jimmie or something next time I see her." She shrugged, admitting her defeat. "What about you then? What brings you here minus the candy?..All alone anyway?" If she couldn't get the knowledge she wanted off of Thursday, why not try to make conversation with her instead? Bryelle could always use another potential friend.

The girl seemed to, in a small way, give up. Starting to eat her own candy. Thursday smiled at that, slightly relaxing as the girl tried to clarify what the little Ravenclaw had just said. Shaking her head "Except for the snacks table and my room, nothing." Again, there were things she wasn't telling the girl, but this stranger had no business knowing anyway. Taking some sweets from her own back, and popping the small pieces into her mouth. Happy that the girl gave up on her inquiries she smiled as she continued to speak. "I came with some siblings, but they wanted to go to the haunted corn maze. And this is good enough for me." She said, noting to the candy and pastries she had in her position. "Guess it's nice to get away and clear your head. Instead of reading through the books, or double checking finished course work." She shrugged. She wished that teachers would give out assignments for the entire semester, at the start, instead of one at a time throughout.

GIVING UP SEEMED TO BE the best course of action for now, especially since Thursday refused to talk about her own siblings party. Even if it was true and the Weekly spent the night cooped up in her room with a friend - how do you miss all the drama? That's usually the best part about house parties and rival groups/people in general! "Okay...Noted."
Bryelle found herself nodding at Thursday's response before quietly laughing in agreement. For this year alone she had finished the majority of her work weeks before the deadline and submitted early, but there were various moments the Goyle doubted herself in the days that led up to the final submission. "I agree..My brother is the same plus I haven't really seen him since summer..So doing the haunted areas together will hopefully be fun. But I.." Bryelle paused for a moment, thinning her lips as she tried to find the words. "I'm sorry for essentially bombarding you to..help me fill in some gaps. While attempting to bribe you with candy.."

The girl seemed to drop her question. The small Ravenclaw was happy about that. Thursday wasn't one for parties, or large groups, usually. It was easy to miss out. She would much rather eat sweets and play video games, maybe even work on her own.
The girl then apologized, which Thursday wasn't sure if it was genuine, but it seemed like it, more or less. She gave a wary smile and shrug. "No problem." Just being a member of the weekly family meant that many people had questions about the family, siblings, or their situations. But it also meant, especially for Thursday, the less sociable one of the family, that many people knew her siblings, and therefore felt they knew her. She looked around the park, not quite sure what to do next. She was awkward, and didn't quite know what to say next. So instead, she bit into a pastry, filling her mouth with delicious fluffy carbs and soft sweet cream, absorbing the awkwardness.

FINALLY REALISING THAT BOMBARDING SOMEONE she barely knew with a hoard of questions about a dumb party...Bryelle knew wasn't the best way to strike up a conversation. She felt bad, but now that it was out of the way, Bryelle smiled small as Thursday shrugged and replied to her.
With the awkwardness filling the air, Bryelle opened her mouth slowly, considering to choose a familiar topic that they would probably would both enjoy talking about. "Have you tried the new candy's yet?..." She noticed Thursday was chewing into a pastry which only led to Bryelle getting the same pastry out of her bag. "Is that pastry...This one?" She asked, a slightly wider smile on her lips. "Everyone says its so good but I haven't tried it yet...What's it like?"

The older girl seemed to have calmed down, but Thursday was still quite tense. Hoping that the sweets would help calm her. They did, a bit.
The subject changed, thankfully to sweets. Something that the half-vampire knew a lot about. "There's a pumpkin spice éclair that was good." She softly squeaked. Bryelle then pulled out the same pastry that she was currently eating. The girl nodded her head. "Not too sweet" She shrugged, speaking as if it was a shame or a bad thing. The girl's sweet tooth was no joke.

BRYELLE KNEW SHE SHOULD EVENTUALLY take her leave, especially since she started the conversation on such a high, on an attempt to find out information that didn't really benefit her but instead fill in gaps of knowledge. But as Thursday's attitude slowly changed, the Goyle knew that sweets was a topic of conversation the Weekly loved. "Pumpkin spice? Which flavour is more overpowering in it?..The pumpkin or the spice kind of thing?.."
'Not too sweet' was something Bryelle liked to hear. She loved having a sweet tooth but most times, she didn't want to oversaturate her palette with a sugary taste. Taking the pastry out of the bag she held around her wrist, the Goyle took a slight bite into it, humming at the taste of the pastry almost immediately. "Wait..This is actually pretty good.." She hummed again, before taking another bite. She looked up at the Weekly once more and with slight concern, Bryelle let out a quiet sigh. "I really am sorry. For bombarding you for no reason...I should have been more respectful."

Sweets were always a topic that Thursday could talk about. She was not above bribery, that is, if she felt it worth it. Her parents and siblings usually were the only ones who could bribe her. Perhaps some friends too. She mentioned a popular autumn flavor, pumpkin spice. "Well, in general, pumpkin isn't a super strong flavor, compared to the spices." She shrugged. "But the éclair has a good balance." She almost felt like one of those judges of a sweets baking competition. The girl did know her sweets. She knew what she liked, and she knew what was bad.
The pastry wasn't too sweet, which meant that many seemed to like that aspect. To Thursday, it was a bit bland. The flavor was there, but the sugar wasn't. The grl pulled out the pastry that Thursday had mentioned. The small pink haired girl nodded at it when it was brought out. Bryelle took a bite and instantly liked it. While the older girl ate some of the sweet, Thursday pulled out something all chocolate. It seemed more like something that would be the final bite to a sugar-coma. But Thursday was different. She took a nice bite of it, happy to have the sweet chocolate flavor fill her mouth. Finally Bryelle looked at her, giving what seemed like a more genuine apology. Thursday swallowed what was in her mouth. licking her teeth just in case there was residue before giving a wide smile. "It's ok." Switching to a bit more of a serious look. "But if you really want to talk about parties in the future, I'm not usually the best one to do so with." It was true. Thursday much preferred sweets, her room, and gaming to large gatherings.

WHILE BRYELLE STARTED THE CONVERSATION between the two of them rather awkwardly, she was seemingly enjoying the conversation of candy and sweets altogether. Known for her terrible but moderate sweet-tooth within the Goyle household, Bryelle always found her way with convincing her parents to buying her whatever delight she wanted. The person she struggled the most with however, was her brother. He never put up with the nonsense she tried to pull on their clueless parents.
Though with the Goyle enjoying the pastry in her hands, she listened to when Thursday spoke, nodding in understanding and agreement. "I'm honestly sorry. Someone mentioned it was just best to ask any of the Weekly's who had been there and obviously...You were the first I saw today." Bryelle knew one simple apology wouldn't be enough for the embarrassment she had caused (mainly to herself), but it was a start. "Do you have the time on you by any chance?..." She asked, knowing that she would need to meet her brother soon enough.
