To say that the turn of events had put Gus in a sour mood would easily be an understatement. He didn't blame Emrys, nor did he blame Sienna. They were very different people and both important to him. Emrys was a good friend but Sienna was his partner, and she mattered more than anyone else. Yet he also knew that he couldn't make her the centre of his entire universe. It would end badly for both of them. She just was one of his highest priorities now that they were together, even though she always had been. He waited (a little impatiently) for Emrys to help out with the phone. It was very easy to communicate that way but it just felt stupid to talk into a box. He was a little old-fashioned that way, he supposed. Yet Emrys had made the mistake of putting a drink in his hands, so that was gone within seconds. It'd be easy enough for Emrys to get a new one regardless. This wasn't the sort of party where one had restricted champagne use.
He shrugged. "She's not used to any of it. We both all had plenty of time and we chose this profession knowing the press can be... irksome." It was the most polite word he could manage in his current state of repressed anger. "She just fell in love with the wrong person, I suppose." He muttered, a tired note to his voice that betrayed how personal he was taking the fact he'd failed to notice sooner. Failed to stop it from getting to this point. He should have known better and been better, yet he'd fallen short. He grumbled slightly. "Call. I don't think this is a possible waiting situation. I think texting was for if it wasn't a disaster to wait, right? I need to talk to him now." He said and waited for Emrys to hand him back the phone so he could speak to his manager. He almost missed the flirting his friend pulled off due to the stress he was experiencing but he chuckled slightly as he relaxed a little, knowing he'd soon be speaking to his manager.
"Merci, Emrys." He said, his French accent thick as he kissed the man's cheek fondly. He was very French, after all. He quickly also gave Camila a peck on the cheek. "I'm so sorry but I need to take care of this. You look absolutely gorgeous, I hope you find good company." He absent-mindedly grabbed another glass of champagne and downed it in seconds before handing a full one back to Emrys in trade for his phone. "I will contact you both tomorrow, probably. Enjoy the rest of the night and find somebody fun to take home." He said with a wink to both of them. He glanced quickly at Emrys and nodded to his phone. "Merci again." He muttered, putting to phone to his ear and walking off as he waited for his manager to pick up. As soon as he did, Gus started speaking in rapid and highly annoyed French. This needed to be fixed yesterday.
