October 2024 Emrys had graduated, and quickly become a vampire. After that he started to record his own solo album. Thanks to his amazing lyrics, music and his new vampiric voice, it was a hit, especially with younger witches and wizards. Even a number of muggles started to hear some of his songs. He was a hit. He had started his climb to fame. He had also been using his mischievous ways whiles to have a very exotic love life. Luckily his new manager had finally gotten the grip on wrangling the boy. Emrys wasn't one to be considered tame, but having recording sessions late in the evening, that often ran late at night, often detoured him from the tabloids. This was one such night. He was supposed to be meeting with some other celebrity for a calibration of some sort. He hadn't been told the name, a way of keeping suspense, and his mind off the club. Perhaps this was another way to help keep him out of trouble.
While he waited, he was working on recording one of his more favored songs in Dutch. He had adapted it, he had been told to use his bilingual knowledge. As he finished one take, he saw someone enter. He was splendidly surprised to see a familiar face. He had met Gus shortly after one of his songs really took off. He gave a toothy grin at his new friend.

Sometimes Gus just simply worked late. His manager had asked him to collaborate with another artist and that was all fine and dandy but the working late part bothered him a small bit. He'd planned to go out, have a few too many drinks and find somebody to entertain him. This plan was no destroyed because of work. Not that Gus minded all that much, he loved his job. It was one of the things he loved most in the entire world really. So he didn't complain a lot as he came into the studio. The moment he spotted a new friend of his a grin spread over his face. A grin that only grew broader as Emrys noticed him and grinned straight back at him. Gus instantly walked up to him with his arms spread. "Emrys!" He said cheerfully. "Good to see you! It's been a while." He said and gave his friend a hug. He was very much a person for physical affection with just about everybody.
He took a step back and looked the other man up and down with a faint hint of a smirk on his face. "I see you've grown in fame some." He noted cheerfully as he sat down and grabbed a smoke from his jacket. He wordlessly offered one to the other man before lighting his own. "Are you the reason I got called in for the late night session my darling?" He asked. There was no hint in his voice to show any dismay since there was none. He was glad to at least be working with a familiar face. It made it a lot easier if things happened to get late. Not to mention that both he and Emrys were both prone to a very particular kind of distraction that they could entertain together. He knew his manager would strongly disapprove since there was studio time booked but Gus tended to always have his own personal preferences above work as long as he could actually afford that. Right now he could, although he couldn't complain about actually making music either.

Vampirism was interesting. The night wasn't nearly as long as the day was. Over the past couple of years, Emrys had gotten into the habit of going to sleep around the time that the sun started to raise, meaning that he slept all morning and sometimes into the afternoon. Work hours were often late afternoon or after the sun had set. Avoiding the sun had become something that was second hand. His manager liked to schedule his recording times as late as possible, and because she owned the label, she could do what she wanted. He knew why though. It was to keep him out of as much trouble as she could. It was no secret that he liked to have fun. Emrys had no complains, he loved what he did. He planed to be a musician for a long time.
When Emrys spotted the smiling Gus, he smiled back. Emrys exited the recording room and walked into Gus' hug, hugging him back. "So glad to see you Gus!" It had been a while since he had seen the other man. After their hug, Gus mentioned how Emrys had climbed up the ladder of fame. "Hard not to get noticed." Emrys smiled, sitting down and accepting a cigarette from the man. He pulled out his wand and quickly lit his own and smirked "Shame we have to both work tonight. But, maybe we can also collaborate in other ways." He winked at the man. He could feel the eye rolls of the wizard who was helping with recording the music. Emrys didn't need to think about it, but his manager, and aunt, did not like his chaotic ways, but he wasn't going to change just because. He was happy being himself.

Emrys was one of the men that Gus loved seeing since they had quite a few shared interests. They both loved music, making it, singing and performing. They both loved the advantages of fame and indulged in expensive things they didn't need. They both had a list of vices they indulged in regularly and amongst those vices were those of a sexual nature. Since both Gus and Emrys were not too picky on who they slept with on average it stood to reason they would eventually find one another. It had been sooner rather than later. They had interacted in such a way before and well, considering they were recording it wasn't unlikely they'd end up tangled in more than just music this night. Gus chuckled as Emrys mentioned it was hard not to get noticed. "I can imagine." He simply said, both men knew they had an appeal that the general public loved and their similar reputations certainly helped. Where Emrys (from what Gus understood) had a manager that tried to downscale his reputation his own manager had more than once used it to gain traction and increase his fame. People loved small little scandals and stories of heartbreak were not uncommon to leak about Gus. He was a bad boy according to his reputation and his manager was keen on upholding that since it kept a lot of ladies interested, dreaming of one day being the one to steal his heart and change his mind. It was impossible, since his heart was stolen by a young woman that he didn't believe wanted it.
Gus laughed as Emrys suggested they could collaborate in more ways than one. "Well that would definitively make the recording a lot more interesting. If we pick the right topic we can no doubt use our chemistry to make it sound better. I think neither of us is generally patient enough, but that could add something to the sound." Gus said with a delightful little twinkle in his eyes. His music was very much fueled by his emotions and lust and desire were among them. While most of his music either spoke to the party vibe or the pain of losing loved ones and separation he loved to explore and dabble in several different musical themes and genres. Now with Emrys he was sure they could explore things that could lean into any corner they wanted, but using both their lack of restraint and the mutual attraction could make for something interesting. "I don't think my manager would like it much if we indulged too soon, but it's tempting.." Gus said in a low voice as he leaned closer to Emrys. Then a mischievous sparkle shot into his eyes as a horrible idea entered his brain. "Imagine the background noises we could create. We could layer the music over it and say that our... endavours were for the sake of work." Gus wasn't exactly that bothered with things such as privacy and he knew one specific lady that wouldn't make a fuss out of recording such a background track. It was playing with fire but oh so entertaining.

Emrys saw a lot of himself in Gus. They had plenty of similarities. They both liked the finer things, spending their money even if it may have been unwise. Both had made a successful music career out of their passions. Most importantly, neither were too picky with whom they slept with. It stood to reason that they would be good friends. While his manager frowned upon his promiscuous behavior, he was still well known for it. Though he was not nearly as bad as his famous father.
Gus played along and Emrys laughed. This was why he liked spending time with Gus The man, like him, had little holding him back. "Perhaps after the recording." Emrys winked. Like Gus' his own manager would not be too pleased with him shirking his responsibilities like that. Emrys was good at being professional while working, but that didn't mean that he wasn't willing to stop for a bit of fun. "That way, both our managers have something to work with. And we can celebrate"
That was when the other man got the greatest idea. Emrys gave an evil grin, showing his fangs off. "Your brilliance never ceases to amaze me." True, someone would need to help record said background notice, but Emrys was far from shy. Perhaps once they were done recording, they could invite the other person in for some more fun.

Emrys and Gus were perhaps too similar. They were both free souls that loved easily but rarely long term. It led them to situations their managers disliked but they didn't let it stop them, since they had their own agenda. Both saw no shame in using their fame to gain conquests and both of them had quite the reputation for doing so. It stood to reason that they would indulge with each other as easily as they might with others, while managing to maintain whatever professional relationship was between them. They both had a passion for music just as well as certain pleasures after all and Gus loved experimenting and trying new things with his music. Considering how spectacularly picky he was on what got released he could often try new things with low risk and he had stacks of unreleased tracks just waiting for him to die to be released. He'd made a deal with his manager that if he was ever foolish enough to get himself killed while he was still large, the things he didn't want released were free game. His manager had been quite glad to accept the offer, as it meant a world of possible released and a whole lot of money.
Emrys agreed to fun after the recording, but soon enough seemed to be on board with the idea of combining work and pleasure. The advantages of working in a creative field. Emrys smiled, showing off his fangs and Gus couldn't help but chuckle slightly at the sight. Yes, his friend was a vampire and it certainly helped his appeal. It wasn't the kind of life that Gus would choose for himself, but he could appreciate Emrys for his dedication to his choices. He grabbed his phone and looked over his contacts for a moment. "Should I call the help for recording or did you want to do some other work first?" He asked, his tone very much business but the smile on his face cheeky and more than ready for a little bit of fun in their flavour. He was mentally already imagining how they might be able to disguise the background track and blend it into the music in a way that only those looking for more would notice their little interaction. It certainly would bring up some fun parts in interviews.

Emrys got along well with Gus, the man fanned his ego and they got along famously. Unlike his other close friend, Maria, they didn't burn as bright. But then again, they didn't burn out half as fast. Both could be professional and get to work, but they also both loved to have fun. Had his manager been there, he would have been better behaved. But with the woman not there, he was free to indulge. There was someone there ready record them on a professional manner, but Gus offered to call the person in mind for their other idea, and Emrys smiled wider.
He couldn't ignore the mans smile and suggestion. "Call them up, I think we can get our work done while we wait." He winked, not wanting to wait too long to have their fun, but he did know that they had to get something recorded tonight, the two of them were busy, and they couldn't just get together whenever they wanted. It would be an amazing addition to their product. Along with making a great easter egg and interview topic.

Gus nodded and instantly scribbled a quick note which he enchanted to fly out the window. The woman in question happened to live nearby, which saved him the trouble of needing to find an owl to carry the message. He didn't own a phone because well, technology was just too difficult for him. He gave Emrys a look, telling the younger man not to try and judge him. "I'm not getting one of those phoons." He said with a wriggle of his nose. "I don't really get all the muggle technology stuff." He admitted with a careless little shrug. As long as he could do without, he planned to do so. He knew that Sienna could probably change his mind, but he enjoyed doing things the oldfashioned ways. "I expect she'll be here in about ten to fifteen minutes since she lives relatively nearby." He said as he quickly grabbed his guitar and some paper and started writing an outline of what he considered the best options for this new song he and Emrys were planning to record the background track to.
He looked up at Emrys for a second, a hazy sort of smile on his face. "Hey, think it could be cool to like... use our heartbeats as part of the percussion and base line?" He asked the other man, sketching out several options with his quill as he had about a million different options racing through his head already. Amplified heartbeats could bring the track to a whole new level and they could probably ensure that the heartbeat of the track matched the actual speed of their hearts as they recorded their endavour in the booth. They were interesting as options but ultimately Gus needed the math behind his various ideas to actually pan out. He could be a very critical thinker that caculated at least half his songs as much as he felt them. It was part of what had made him so utterly famous. Experimental tracks and algorythms he'd found within music. Science and passion, all in one.

Allowing time for his friend to make a note and send it out the window. Emrys had imagined Gus pulling out a phone and sending a quick text or call, but no. He chuckled as the older man justified himself. "Hey, I get it. But I'd be more than happy to give you a one on one lesson." He said, winking. If that ever did happen, he was sure there would be littler learning. Given a time frame, Emrys pulled out his phone and checked the time. He wasn't one to keep it, but it was good to know about how long they had. "Let's get started"
The man started righting out ideas, and Emrys pulled out his notebook that he jotted song ideas in. Some completed, others may never see the light of day. Some, old songs in the process of being translated into another language. The man suggested using heart beats as a form of percussion or base and Emrys smiled. "Mixed with the various other sounds will be making, I think it'll bring a nice..." Emrys paused to think of the word, "...carnal tone. Something like..." He set the pad down and picked up a guitar, rhythmically tapping it in tune with his heart as he strummed a few cords. Emrys did his best thinking when he was playing. He let the idea and the rhythm lead him. The young man played a few cords, then changed it up, trying different sounds to the tapping, seeing what sounded best.

Gus didn't really care much about muggle technology. He'd lived his entire life without and had never really needed it either. He didn't miss it, need it or generally desire it and he planned to keep it that way. He shrugged as Emrys offered a one on one lesson. "I doubt you'll be doing education, knowing us. Besides, if you're starting to get that pressed for time that I need to buy a phone to get some I think I'd rather go to the club for random entertainment. Buying a phone seems a hassle to me." He said, joking easily. It wasn't all that difficult after all, they liked the same kind of entertainment and that was all there was to it. No commitment of any kind, no desire for more. It was a matter of living in the moment, while the moment lasted. It was better that way.
Gus grinned a wicked little grin at the current pace of Emrys' heart. "Well I do hope we'll be picking up the pace during recording." He joked easily. "But it should indeed give a nice carnal tone quality to the rhymth. There are naturally some other parts we could use for determining pace in case the heart beats don't work too perfectly." He mused for a moment as he grabbed his guitar, picking up the heartbeat line that Emrys had set. It would be far too messy to see if they could use both their beats to begin with. Perhaps if they had a perfectly matched pace they could have them play off each other to shape the pattern but that wasn't something they could count on at the beginning of it all. "We should see about measuring the beats per minute while we're at it. Could set us in the right direction." He said, strumming the beat of the other mans heart while he tapped his foot, adding in some extra depth. "I want to see if I can get something on the piano for this later." He muttered, although mostly to himself. He was having fun. "Lyrics wise, obvious and on the nose or do you wish to keep it more mysterious since the music itself should betray more than enough of our actions?" Gus asked Emrys, although his eyes had long since gotten distracted as they wondered down the body of the other man. Now this was an interesting variation on the concept of foreplay, that was sure.

Offering to teach Gus about muggle technology was fairly genuine. Though it deed seem like the man saw though the vampire. They knew each other well enough to know that very little serious work would actually happen. He laughed at his friends remark. "Well that doesn't mean we cant have our fun now." He didn't mind. It was true. Even if they had gotten together in attempts to teach, it wouldn't take long for that to turn to alternative forms of communication. Emrys already had a phone, and hadn't realized that the man didn't. Though it didn't take long for him to move past that. They had quite a night planned. He wasn't one that preferred to plan for the future anyway, he lived in the moment. Once the moment was done, he was gone.
Tapping to his heart beat on his guitar and strumming the vampire thought. Gus mentioned the rhythm picking up and he smiled. "Naturally, passion leads to a higher heart beat. Plus, we're both quite athletic. I'm sure we can get a good range of speeds going." Gus also moved to grab his own guitar, mirroring the beet that Emrys had created. He strummed some notes quickly to the rhythmic sound, seeing what sounded good to him. Gus mentioned measuring their heart rates while enthralled, and he smiled. "Perhaps we should give it a go now, just to have a base line in mind." Gus enhanced the idea by tapping his foot and playing some. Emrys played off of that, strumming a few rhythmic tones, still playing of a fairly carnal and animalistic tone. "Why tell them? Let's keep things cryptic. We could even mix in a few other languages to on top." Both men knew multiple languages. It had the potential of adding more layers of complexity. Even if the lines were simple or repeated, it would sound different in a new language. Emrys knew this all too well as he worked on translations of his own work. Emrys had closed his eyes, listening to the music the two were starting to work out, changing cords and notes to see what sounded better. Slouched in the couth, he leaned his head back, totally relaxed but fully working. Emrys could feel the eyes of the man moving over him and he gave a wicked grin, not moving from his position. "Touching is much more fun than looking you know. I'm perfectly open." He spoke softly as he strummed to the feeling and anticipation of the moment.

Teaching between the two wild stars was hardly something that Gus deemed plausible. He knew both himself and the other man far too well to expect anything other than the usual to happen. They both liked their fun and well, neither of them had any particularly strong interest in showing restraint. It seemed most likely they'd end up entangling a lot more than just charging cables. Mostly each other. While fun it didn't seem like the best kind of scenario to learn in. Not that such a thing was any reason to avoid it. It was more that Gus genuinely didn't care about learning to use muggle technology. He didn't need it, so why bother?
Gus resisted the urge to laugh as Emrys mentioned ever so casually that they were both athletic in nature. It was a bit of a stretch, considering both of them probably got most excersize from the company they kept and not any other type of athletic activity. Gus had never really been one for sports as he wasn't much of a team player. Well, unless it was in music but he adored the spotlight a little too much. He wouldn't do too perfectly in a band that wanted to have equal parts in the limelight. Besides, he was doing very well on his own so he didn't really need a band either. Rock and roll would never die. While his notes on the rhythm speeding up were ever so easily picked up by Emrys Gus wasn't surprised at all that he found himself hearing hte suggestion to give it a go now. He chuckled. "Let's save it up for later. First is usually most fun anyway and we can do as many takes as we want." He said with a sly little smile. If they were going to work with having fun he wanted to do it at full capacity, which did recquire having half a plan. He took half a moment to summon his quill and put it to paper as he softly started trying out a few lines. The quill had been enchanted to write down anything he sang so he could improvise freely and still have the music flowing. He never had to worry about forgetting a line that seemed brilliant that way.
Emrys mentioned keeping things cryptic and Gus nodded. "Very subtle background track over the voices could work nicely." He added. "Make those a rotation of all different languages except English that we have between us saying the same thing. If that is a little more on the nose it'll be more fun. The Brits tend to be far too stuffy anyway." Not to mention prudish, but Gus had never paid much attention to that. He had his own life to live and there wasn't much space in it for those that wanted him to be anything other than himself. If he was going to go through this entire thing, he was going to do it his own way and unapologetically so. He expected his friend and their partner in crime to show up relatively fast so anything they managed before that was just an added bonus. He simply smiled as Emrys mentioned he was plenty open to touching. "Patience little bird." Gus said with a slight smirk on his face. "Soon enough. We best have something of an idea for the music before we start the first part of our performance." He joked easily, winking, even if the other man had his eyes closed. It just came naturally to him.

Gus did have a point. Emrys wasn't a good one to learn from. It wouldn't be long before the task was completed. It would be fun, but they wouldn't accomplish anything they had set out to. Both Emrys and Gus were not considered to be the "sporty" type. They kept their physique in alternative ways.
Emrys lounged in his seat, strumming his guitar with his eyes closed. This was how he thought. He didn't do well with a simple pen and paper, no, it was much better to see how the music felt and sounded. He did give the suggestion for a practice round, though Gus did have a good point. the first time was usually the best. "I'll hold you to that." He teased cracking his eyes open to see the smile on the mans face.
They continued to work on their sound ideas. Keeping things cryptic seemed more fun at the moment. Let their audience guess. It wouldn't be hard. Especially for those fans who knew exactly what kind of people they were. Of course they would create something like this. It was only a matter of time. And between the two of them, they cold have quite some fun with languages too. "We could even mix languages with some of the lines." He suggested, speeding up his guitar playing, adjusting cords and tone. He gave a exaggerated sigh "It was such a shame I had to got to school with those Brits" Though the two were a few years apart, it was fun to think of what sort of fun they could have had when they were younger. Though, Emrys had plenty of fun himself while a student.
Gus mentioned patience as Emrys played, perfectly open. The boy pouted slightly, but did know that sometimes half the fun was held in the anticipation. He put that mood into his guitar, speeding up some of the thumping beat to an active heart rate as he strummed, picking out a tune that he liked. His pout quickly turned into a smirk. "What about this?" He mentioned, in reference to the beat and cords he had changed to. Depending on the words, he thought it may lead nicely to their idea.

Writing songs, breathing and the interaction between the two men all came equally easily. They were cut from the same cloth, at least in terms of their preferred pass times. They were equally wild and free, although it seemed Gus had different impulses than Emrys most of the time. He himself at least had never considered becoming a vampire. The entire drinking blood thing wasn't exactly up to his speed and living longer only seemed like a burden to him. He still had his dreams of one day living a different life, although he had trouble admitting that from time to time. With how poorly that had gone for his mother he found it almost impossible to imagine he'd be different, or better. He knew it held him back, but that was a lot more comfortable. He didn't want to risk a broken heart. It was all fine to write about it, but to feel it was a different story.
Gus wasn't usually one to hide the blatantly obvious, not in real life nor in his music. He could be very obvious but usually did avoid making it too on the nose in terms of crudeness. Even something as simple as sexual attraction could be made to sound beautiful and intricate, which was a fun enough game to play. There was the fine line between poetic and just kind of disgusting that he loved playing around. He realised his fame gave him more creative liberty in that sense, which helped with a few of his songs but since most were based more in love of various kinds and often tragedy it wasn't overly common for songs based on his sensual escapades to actually make it to the public. He wasn't even fully sure if he was actually going to release the song they were currently working on any time soon, if at all. He wanted to grow a little more first as an artist. That was never a bad thing to do. He chuckled as Emrys said he had to go to school with the boring Brits. "I'm sure it would have been a lot more difficult to graduate if we'd been in the same school. I already considered dropping out now." Gus admitted honestly. He'd struggled through it, but that was more because he'd considered becoming an auror first. The thrill and the posibility of having a heroic story had appealed to his younger self a little too much. After having a taste of the option to make music for a living he'd been reluctant at first because all the music he wrote back then was deeply personal and all for his mother since she'd loved making music with him. Then came the fame and he'd been sold to hell.
Gus listened to the beat and lines for a moment before he actually replied. They were exactly the right kind of catchy and he loved the rhythm of them. He smirked a little. "Yeah, that sounds great. We ought to consider doing the riffs first actually. Maybe even get the beat in. We can play that during the escapades." He said, musing for a moment. "I don't know if you have the same problem but if any music is playing while I'm having fun I tend to get distracted just enough to try and time it to the music. Natural instincts I suppose. I usually make a point of not letting people play music during so I can actually concentrate on the fun rather than matching it to the music. This time it would actually come in handy that my priorities are totally out of wack though." He said with a bit of a smirk. Normally it was irritating, especially to his partners, but he felt that this was actually the perfect opportunity to use his failings in terms of music always seeming to have priority in his brain to his advantage. All they had to do was get the music going while they were having fun in the booth and the two would automatically weave together without any added effort.

It was clear that the two of them were different designs, but the same fabric. Similar but different. That was why they got along so well. Emrys didn't invest in relationships like Gus did. He preferred to enjoy himself and move on. With the purposes of the collaboration being a delicate subject, and some people would prefer that it never be released. Emrys seemed to lack any amount of shame. It if didn't go out, no problem, they still had a good collaboration. If it did release, all the better. Emrys thought about if he and the older man had gone to the same school. Emrys was never a bad student, but had he and Gus known each other then, he might have been. He chuckled. "You're probably not wrong." Though Emrys did get into his own brand of trouble, he did try doing it the way everyone expected. Finding a girlfriend and being together. He tried, really he did. But that never lasted long. After her big blow up, that was it. Then once he left school, and he had become a vampire, Emrys was ready for the limelight. True, his surname helped him get started, but he showed his talent and skill off with every song.
It seemed that they finally got their rhythm and Emrys smiled at the man. Gus mentioned matching the music if it was playing while having fun and Emrys laughed. "Guess I hadn't thought about it before." He said in a very nonchalant manor. Though he probably would start to think about it now. "Don't worry, I wont hold that against you." Emrys winked. The more they seemed to talk about their plans, the more Emrys was looking forward to this recording session.
