Starting September 2027, all wizarding children aged 4 to 10 attend a day school where they are taught basic skills such as reading, writing, mathematics, and history. McGonagall Academy for Gifted Illusionary Children (MAGIC) is the secondary school in which wizarding adolescents complete their general magical education. They complete their first through fifth years here and graduate after their OWLs. After graduation, they can go out into the world and begin their working life. The dormitories are only available for MAGIC and LIFE students and are separated by House through the end of NEWT studies.
