Hadni had always wondered what it would be like when she ended up retiring from pro-quidditch playing. But that in no way meant that she was ready to do that right now! No way. However, she did have a dear friend who had recently retired and was now teaching at Hogwarts. It was pretty amazing in her eyes, the fact that he was going to be a part of instilling the love of Quidditch in so many young hearts. What a fabulous opportunity! She wanted to ask him all about it, which was why she wrote Parker Preston and asked him to meet her at the Three Broomsticks to chat.
She arrived, all bundled up against the cold and took off her gloves, glancing around the pub for any site of him. She had sort of invited him on short notice, but she was sure he would probably still try to make it. She had made sure to choose a weekend when there weren't any quidditch games going on at Hogwarts. She stepped further into the pub and crossed to the bar, having a seat and ordering a butterbeer before taking off her scarf and glancing around one more time to see if she had missed him.

When Parker had received Hadni's message, he had replied at once to tell her he would meet her. It was always nice seeing her, out of all of his quidditch friends Hadni had always been one of his favorites. Though he did have to move some things around to make sure he'd be there on time. Probably the worst thing about being a teacher was having to do things like assign homework. And even worse than that was having to correct homework, and read essays. But he was going to put that off today, his students could sweat a little more over what grades they could have gotten. Plus it had been forever since he'd read Quidditch Through the Ages and since he really needed to reread it in order to grade the papers, meeting up with her was a very good excuse to not have to do it.
Stepping into the Three Broomsticks, he looked around for her. It didn't take him long to spot her, after all how could you not spot a pretty girl at the bar? He made his way over to her, it had definitely been far too long since he'd seen her. "You know, you do look a lot prettier out of that silly uniform," he said with a smile as he took a seat next to her. Parker had always enjoyed poking a little bit of fun at her about the team that she played on. Even when they had played against eachother, Parker had loved to tease her and have fun, even though he really wanted his team to win.

When Hadni heard Parkers voice she turned to face him with a large smile on her face. "Yeah right," she's teased as she lightly punched him on the arm, "you like the sweat and messed up hair that comes from a good game," she winked. Soon, she was slipping out of her seat and pulling him into a hug. She held him for a moment, just filled with utter happiness that she was able to see her best friend right now. They didn't see nearly enough of each other!
Parker really was one of her closest friends, and she couldn't deny that they had a strong connection between them. She knew that they really were kindred spirits and they understood each other. She released him from the hug, "Should we get a table?" she gestured. She kept her hand on his arm as she spoke, pulling him slightly towards the tables.

"True, though you'd look a lot better in my old colors." Yes, there was something definitely attractive about a female quidditch player. A girl that could get dirty and play well was something amazing. Though he didn't like being beat by them, but then again he didn't like to be beat by anybody. He was far too competitive for his own good. Hugging her was nice, it wasn't until that moment did he really realize how much he'd missed her. It felt good to be back together with his best friend, and it made him miss not being apart of quidditch even more. Hopefully he'd be able to get back into it, he missed all his quidditch friends, and he missed quidditch even more. Teaching was fine, but still it wasn't the same as actually playing.
"Sure!" He said as he let her pull him over to a table. "Then you can tell me why you've dragged me all the way out here when I could be grading papers." He said, trying to sound serious though it was very hard to keep a straight face when he was around her. Sitting down at the table, he looked around for the waitress, he supposed it was too early to start drinking anything strong. Plus he still had to grade papers so the last thing he needed was to drunkenly have to grade papers when he got back to Hogwarts.

"I will slap you," she chuckled and glared as he stated that she would look better in his colors. She was quiet happy with her team, and Parker knew that, but they still managed to banter often. They had played on the same team while at Hogwarts, so they knew what it was like to play together and it would have been nice to do that as adults to but, alas, that time was over. He was retired, so there was that. Maybe he would get back into it someday, but she wasn't entirely sure what his plans were in that aspect.
As they reached the table they sat down on the same side of the booth, not bothering to separate themselves with a table. She linked her arm through his as they sat there, pulling herself closer to him. "Heeey, Papers are lame." She mused as a waitress came over and they quickly ordered their drinks. She could tell that he was trying hard not to smile now, which is how it usually was between them. "So, how is teaching? How are the kids? How's James?" she had played with James potter a little in school as well. They were both seekers, but she had switched to chaser for a time in order to let him get into the swing of things. He was a good kid!

"Hey no bar fights! I want to remain one of the badass professors, I can't have my reputation be tarnished when my students hear I got slapped by a girl!" Of course he was joking, he had always loved to joke with her. It had been great when they played together. Perhaps they would have to have a friendly game of quidditch one of these days, he would love to play with her again. He was sure he could round of some of his friends, they knew enough people to get two teams going.
Parker couldn't stop smiling whenever he was around her. "You're right, they are quite lame. Definitely the worst part about my job." Reading the same things over and over and having to correct things and then having to give somebody a grade, it wasn't fun at all. He ordered a butterbeer from the waitress, it was still a bit too early to be drinking fire whiskey. Plus fire whiskey usually led to bad things, like being brutally honest and all that. "Teaching is..." He paused as he tried to search for the word. What was the best way to describe it, it was certainly different than anything else he had done before. "It's interesting. I assigned the kids a book I haven't read since I was in school. So we'll see how well that works out. I'm still trying to figure out what to teach them." It seemed like forever since he'd been in school, he couldn't really remember what he had learned when he was there. "The kids are pretty good, so far I haven't murdered any of them so that's good I guess." And that was saying a lot since usually Parker's tolerance for kids hadn't been too great in the past. He enjoyed some kids but there had been some of them that he really wished he could smack upside the head. "James is good, the whole Gryffindor team is doing great, of course!" Though he was quite biased, he would always say his old team was the best.

"Well, you're students are going to hear that eventually if you ever introduce them to me," she stuck her tongue out at him from the side of her mouth before giggling. She really thought it would be cool to visit the school, but it had only been three years since she graduated, so much probably hadn't changed. But, it would be fun to tell embarrassing stories about Parker to those that he was teaching. She understood needing to keep up the rep, though.
She nodded vigorously in agreement that papers were the worst part of his job, "That's why I'm never retiring. I don't want to look at a piece of paper ever again," she chuckled, but only lightly. She knew it was probably a touchy subject for her dear best friend. She couldn't imagine being a professor. Especially since she was so young. She listened as he talked more about the job, about assigning a flying class a book to study. She cocked an eyebrow at him, "Why don't you just teach them how to be as devilishly handsome as you?" she chuckled with a little wink. She had to lighten the mood, it was getting far too professory up in here. "I'm glad though, that you were able to get the job," she added on a serious tone.
"That is good! Yeesh," she took a swig of her butterbeer. She perked up at his response about James and the rest of the team. "I'm glad to hear that! I would love to come see them play sometime, that is, if you'd let me?" she said.
