Christmas had been the hardest for Hargus. It was the first time he had to go alone, and honestly, that was the worst thing he had to do for a year. He was unable to find another situation in which he defined as the saddest he had ever had to deal with. Not being able to celebrate a Christmas with the family or even a potential partner had reached a point where he realized that he was not quite sure what his next Christmas would be like. After the new year, Hargus had set out to change things. Everything that had happened in the previous year had to improve for the better. The first step would be to change some of the habits that had hindered his progress in seeking a partner.
Another goal would be to change the decoration of his apartment, find new hobbies... And what better place could it be? In Diagon Alley. There Hargus could find almost everything he needed. That’s why he was here. His blue eyes explored the area, looking for something flashy enough to get his attention. The first store he decided to enter was at Flourish and Blotts, where he did a little digging around for a book that would catch his eye. But it wasn’t all he was looking for, it was also cooking tips — having set himself the challenge of learning some elaborate dishes in the kitchen. He was going to be a lot more independent. And he needed no magic for that.
After having bought some books, Hargus left the store and walked towards the end of the alley, until he ended up running into a quite flashy shop, which was quite known to the students. He himself had seen some of them enjoy sweets and mischief items. He was evaluating his options, thinking about what to really do. Until his stomach roared slightly, that meant he was hungry. Hargus had a sweet tooth, so he decided to go into the store and look around to see what he could find. It didn’t have to be just sweets, but he was sure they offered at least some food service. Instead of entering, he stood outside, in front of the window, watching and thinking.
