The idea of knocking Cain out and tying him to a tree if anything were to go wrong excited Marcia.
What, that's not that weird, right?
Anyway, she had agreed to go on yet another midnight walk to who knows where with her now close friend. This time they were venturing into the forbidden forest, because that was the safest place for a possibly rampant vampire, right? She had dressed warm, wearing dark colors under her robes with her green scarf around her neck. She generally didn't mind the snow that much, but she wasn't sure how long they would be out here.
After a moment of moving deeper into the trees, Cain turned to her, holding a hand out and asking if she was warm enough. She nodded, "could be warmer," she smiled. Suddenly Cain stopped and clutched his stomach. "Hey, hey you okay?' she asked, stopping to look at Cain, placing a hand on his shoulder and reaching the other to cup the side of his face, and not even noticing the layout before them. That is, until he asked about it. "Tea? What are you-" she turned to find the table.
Something about this made her stomach feel sick.
"No... that's not mine," she said, reaching her hand into her pocket and wrapping her fingers around her wand.

Marcias wand was out the second the first being made their arrival. She held her ground, waiting to see what Cain would do first. As the woman began to speak Marcia took a defensive step toward, but a little in front of Cain. Marcia had figured out the vampire thing before Cain even said it, but she was still glad he did. Although, she was also a little sad that she was right. She nodded once as he muttered it, waiting to see how the conversation would play out.
Cain didn't want to avoid conflict... but conflict was something Marcia was familiar with. Still, this seemed to be his party. She nodded, replacing her wand in her pocket but keeping her hand wrapped around it. "I have to be honest with you, maam," she started, her eyes narrowing slightly, "I don't play nicely when things turn sour."

The vampire lady was being condescending now, something that Marcia didn't condone in the slightest. She felt her entire body tense up, and she was about ready to pounce, but she knew that she needed to wait. Wait it out. As the bottle came to her, Marcia started to pour it, a clear liquid fell into her glass. It looked familiar, but she didn't think Capri Sun would come out of an enchanted bottle in Britain...
She didn't take a sip though, of course not. She didn't trust this people in the slightest. As Valeria continued speaking, Marcia found herself slipping her hand under the table and gently resting it on Cains knee. She felt a comfort in the gesture, and hoped that he felt the same way, because she wasn't going anywhere.
Her grip on his knee tightened at the womans mentioning of his mother. "One of us be default," these words made Marcia tense up even more, if that was even possible. Marcia leaned toward Cain as he whispered to her, and she felt her throat start to close up. What the heck was she supposed to do now!?
Valerie caught the whisper though, and Marcia tried to contain her horror as she continued speaking of a proper family. As Cain lifted the class, Marcia wanted to protest for him not to touch it. Suddenly, he was spitting crimson colored liquid across the table, and she pulled her hand away from him. She looked down at her own cup as it slowly turned into blood. Her eyes widening at the sight.
When Cain started to speak, her head snapped in his direction. As his face started to change, Marcia tightened her grip on her wand. The moment was coming... she just needed to see what the other vampires would do. Finally, Valerie pulled out her wand and in a second Marcia was aiming at another vampire nearby, causing him to fly into the nearest tree, she whipped around to face another, managing to block her spell at the last second.
She felt a sharp pain in her side as another spell hit her, but didn't turn to see what had happened. "Bombarda!" she cast under the table, sending the table flying outward in multiple pieces.

Everything was happening really fast, and Marcia was countering the best she could until, suddenly, she was being taken from both sides by some of the lovely vampiric people. She screamed once before kicking one square in the chest and sending a hex at the other. One, however, had managed to lock its teeth on her metal hand. "Oh brother," she muttered, lifting her arm up firmly, tossing the monster aside and glancing down at the slight metallic shimmer shining through her now muddled make up.
Cain was at her side again, and Marcia turned her head as he dealt with Valerie. In that moment, a strange memory burst into her mind. A memory of her parents dragging someone into the house screaming. She was dragged upstairs by the maid, but before her door closed she saw the most horrible amount of blood she had seen in her life. She gasped at the memory, right as Cain asked if she was hurt.
She whipped around to face him, barely noticing him lifting her hands into his. At his reaction to the metal, she was nsapped back into the present. "Erh, yeah. That's because it is," she sounded muddled, losing confidence, and not at all like herself.
She snapped out of it by literally shaking her head. "It is metal, Cain. The whole arm is. Don't worry, I'm fine."

Marcia raised a slight eyebrow at him as he apologized, and claimed that he was a fool. She didn't say anything as he moved his hand away from her, sitting down and drawing his knees up to his chest. She looked down at him for a moment, letting him continue speaking before she made her next move. She felt her stomach clench and her throat tighten as he began to call her out on her past, while bringing up his own. She bit her lip as he said he was afraid, and that he owed her for being there.
As he rested his head at the side of her knee. She froze, unsure of how to proceed. She was feeling a lot of... unfamiliar emotions. She felt herself relax with the silence though, but her entire body tensed up as he started speaking again. He'd like to be closer than good friends, he wanted to make it better... to really feel for someone else. For her?
She slowly moved then, finally kneeling down beside him. She reached her hands up, slowly again, and placed them on either side of his face, lifting it slightly to face her, "I've never thought about anyone like that before but... this is different. You're different," she took a deep breath, saying something afterward that she had never said to anyone in her life. "I trust you," her voice was soft, almost a complete whisper as she leaned in, pulling his face toward hers.
She had never kissed anyone before. Was she doing this right?

Once the kiss started, the uncomfortable feeling was whisked away into the night. She knew her hair was alight, but she wasn't thinking about that. She was thinking about his hand in her hair, his lips on her lips, his smile on her smile.
Marcia hesitated in opening her eyes, but was pleasantly surprised to find him looking into them. She let out a quick breath, almost a laugh. He stroked her hair, and she kept her hands on his face for a moment before gently lowering them to his shoulders.
"I guess this means I'll have to restock my 'midnight cola' stash a lot faster than usual, huh?"
She chuckled as he spoke, nodding. "You bet you will," aw, what an American thing to say. She chuckled at herself, looking down for a brief moment and her eyes fell on a broken tea cup. Her eyes widened, "we should get out of here."
