@hadni "It's probably pretty embarrassing to have your dad at school with you. Especially when he's so young and not mature enough to really understand how lucky that is," ha laughed a little and nodded slightly. he knew that his son would eventually not think him being at the school was lame but that wouldn't happen till the kid was about 30. he rubbed his hand over his neck and shrugged a little. "eh, i'm not going to hold my breath on him reaching that point while he's in the school" he said with a smile. "As for the people reading the paper not being able to look back at me, that's a really good point! But wow, Deputy Head? That's a pretty serious job. I don't know if I'm mature enough for this relationship," he nodded a little. he'd thought of his job as important but not very serious. he dealt with serious issues that neville didn't deal with, which with a teacher like neville leading the front there wasn't much that was unturned. "serious? yes. enjoyable? definitely. and i'm sure you are. if i am you have to be" he said as he leaned his arms forward on the table. "I'm a Quidditch player for the Harpies. Do you follow Quidditch at all?" his face tightened a little at that question, how did he answer that. his wife had died during a quidditch game. he didn't hold anything against the game but he hadn't gone out of his way to watch it. "uh .. not really" he said as he took a sip of his drink and composed his thoughts. there was no reason to hide what happened so he caught hadni's eye as he spoke. "my late wife was killed in a quidditch match. she was struck by a stray bludger while trying to get a photo" he said as he turned the glass in his fingers. he smiled slightly, sadly at the thought of her and took a moment to look away before hadni's next statement hit him. he glanced back at her and nodded slightly. "i don't think so. i graduated .. twelve years ago" he said as he realised how old that made him sound. twelve years .. wow.

She chuckled as he mentioned not holding his breath for his son to be stoked to see him. She shrugged, "I don't know. I'm pretty good friends with some kids at the school who are ecstatic to have their parent around. Okay, maybe ecstatic is a big word for it," she chuckled again. She leaned forward on the table to match him as he said he was sure if he was mature enough then she must be. "Awe, well, I guess we can be immature together then?" she raised an eyebrow at him and her lips broke into a half smile. Then he went on to explain why he didn't follow Quidditch and she felt her heart stop in her throat. Great. She was a professional Quidditch player and... wouldn't that mean she would remind him if his wifes death at every moment? She leaned back, frowning. "I... that's a terrible way for..." she cleared her throat, reaching out to grab her drink and taking a long sip as he said when he graduated. Her eyes widened and she lowered the cup. Then she smiled, "well, guess that makes us about ten year apart then. That's not that much," she said, biting her lip for a moment. She couldn't let go of the fact that Quidditch her baby, her muse, her life was what killed his wife. She took a deep breath, taking another sip of her drink. @jaeger

@hadni "Awe, well, I guess we can be immature together then?" he grinned and nodded a little. at least they were on the same page about that. why couldn't they be carefree and immature at some times? just because you got older didn't mean you had to be rigid. well sometimes but this? was not one of those times so he had to admit he was looking forward to seeing where the next few hours, days, weeks possibly took them. when he told her what happened to his wife he saw the look on her face and without thinking he reached across to place his hand on her arm. "I... that's a terrible way for..." he didn't disagree but while it still hurt him to think about he didn't think anyone else should feel bad about it. his wife had died doing what she loved, she had died knowing that someone had loved her more than anything and that she had brought a son into this world to be her legacy, calex was going to make sure it was a good one. "well, guess that makes us about ten year apart then. That's not that much," he nodded and grinned at her slightly. ten years wasn't a huge number, not to him and clearly not for her so why should he think it would even matter. "not when you think about it no" he said as he reached to sip his drink and he looked at her. "what position do you play in?" he asked her, curious about her flying and the team she was on.

"Oh, I'm Seeker. For the Holyhead Harpies," she said, her smile returning but only just. She lifted her drink and took a long sip, trying to calm her nerves. She placed the drink back down on the table and after a moment she took in a deep breath, shaking her head a little as if trying to shake the nervous thoughts away. "So, you teach then? What subject?" she asked, realizing that he had only mentioned being deputy head, not what class he was teaching. She hoped it wasn't something boring like Divination or History of Magic. But even if it was, she would respect that. She might just laugh at him though. @jaeger

@hadni "Oh, I'm Seeker. For the Holyhead Harpies," calex let out a low whistle as she told him what team she played for. in conversations he had heard about the harpies they were good, had a huge following and he was almost sure there was also a picture of the team hanging up on his quidditch mad son's wall. while calex wasn't fond of the sport anymore his son, since attending hogwarts had thought it was the best thing since the beginning of time and he was already talking about trying out for the team the next year. calex was dreading that but he refused to be one of those parents who stopped their children from doing something just because they were afraid. "i've heard of your team" he said with a slight smile as he sipped his drink. "So, you teach then? What subject?" he smiled a little. "yes i teach. defence against the dark arts. this is only my first year though. i spent twelve years as an auror" he explained, encase she wondered why he was only just starting the teaching now. though he did feel a little like he had tried to give her to much information and he hoped she didn't find that annoying like some women did. he smiled a little and sipped his drink. "did you like that class in school?"

It was a little strange talking to someone who didn't know that much about the Harpies, but it was kind of a nice breather. When he said what class he taught, her jaw dropped. And he was an auror for twelve years? Her eyes widened now and she pushed back from the table, pretending she was about to stand. "That's it. You're too awesome. I can't compete," she pushed off her chair a little bit, mocking as if she was going to leave before laughing and sitting back down. "I did! I'll be honest, I wasn't very good at it. I wasn't a very good student," she admitted, shrugging. "I spent most of my school years messing around and practicing on the pitch," she continued, "I stayed for seventh year even though I was pregnant. I couldn't play on the team for a few months there, that sucked. I actually had to focus on class a little so I didn't die of boredom"Why was this guy so easy to talk to? @jaeger
