Victoire was pacing the room at Longbottom hill where the Order meeting was about to take place.
She had been seriously talking with her Uncle Harry, and they had come to the conclusion that he was going to back her in her decision to become the next Minister of Magic, if possible Her and Sebastian were practically running the department right now anyway, what with DW in Saint Mungos and Cain... well, the point was she knew she could do it. Sebastian had been offered, but he didn't want to do it. Now her and Harry were going to bring it up to the Order.
To say that Victoire was nervous about this would be a serious understatement. Victoire Weasley, the strong, independent, ambitious and intense person, was shaking in her boots. She was the youngest member of the Order. She would also be the youngest minister in history. So many new things would come about with this and the Order would know that. Harry backed her up, however, which meant that it was more than possible that it would work.
But, Harry wanted to run it by the Order first. Help Victoire build a trustworthy base around her so that they could finally get to the bottom of all this. Of the murders at Hogwarts, the murders of two Ministers in the last year, the attack on DW. Victoire knew she could do some good as the Minister but... would anyone else believe that?

Teddy had seen Victoire again for the first time in years at the first Order meeting of the year. When Harry mentioned to him in passing about there being another meeting about the most recent events in the Ministry, Teddy knew he had to attend. Victoire was bound to be there, and she had yet to contact him since their run-in that day in Diagon Alley when Victoire had first got word about the Minister. Teddy knew now that the Minister was dead. He had been murdered, there was no question about it. But by who? The same person who killed Kingsley? And is that person the same who has been attacking the students at Hogwarts? It wasn't just for Victoire that he was going, but for his family. Teddy felt it was his duty to stand up and fight, if it came down to it. This group of people had fought alongside his parents during the last wizarding war and if ever there were a war again, these witches and wizards would be the first to stand up to fight.
Teddy had arrived at Longbottom Hill by means of Floo Powder from the Potters' house. He knew Harry would likely be along with Ginny soon enough, but for now he figured he would go ahead and gather his thoughts before anyone else arrived. He walked into the same room the group had met in the last time and was met with that beautiful head of blonde hair. He stopped dead in his tracks, having not expected to see Victoire there so early. Why was she pacing? Teddy had known Victoire long enough to know that this pace was indeed her nervous pace. He raised an eyebrow at the witch and slowly walked over to her, still trying to keep his distance so as to not be tempted to want to grab a hold of her in his arms again.
"You're fairly early," he nodded a "hello" to her. But then that felt too harsh after all he knew she must be going through. He looked down at his feet then, hating himself for speaking so foolishly. "I'm sorry about... the Minister," he said, trying to break whatever tension the two were bound to have between them. Being in this room all alone together certainly wasn't helping. Teddy began to silently pray that someone else walk into the room, and he let out a sigh of relief when he heard the door knob turn behind him...

making his way into the house, calex glanced around the hall. judging by the lack of voices coming from anywhere in the house he figured he wasn't late. probably early if he was being honest with himself. he ran his hand through his hair as he walked toward the room that they had met in before. getting closer to the room he heard two voices, male and female, both young but not teenagers. but he wasn't close enough yet to hear them well through the door, they were muffled. turning the handle he pushed the door open, glancing in before stepping into the room. victoire weasley and teddy lupin. two people in the order. he hadn't had much to do with these two yet. of course he had worked with harry and had met ginny that wat and now he worked with neville at the school so he had more to do with them. "evening" he said, slipping his leather jacket off to drape it over one of the chairs in the room. he folded his arms across his chest lightly.

Even though he was relatively new to living in the United Kingdom, Simon was quite familiar with its history and politics. He'd been fascinated by it while growing up in America, and had followed the news anxiously during the late 'Nineties during the turmoil caused by the Dark Lord. He knew that there had been many who resisted the Dark Lord on numerous occasions, though had never before heard of an "Order of the Phoenix". Wanting to do something to help investigate or even combat the mysterious attacks and Dark Arts activity that had cost the lives of students and even two Ministers, he had reached out to his fellow professors and was instructed to attend this meeting and maintain utmost secrecy. Arriving at the address, Simon hoped that he wasn't too early. He felt a little strange, but he had done as instructed, and that was that. Before approaching the front door, he reached into his leather jacket and produced a small flask, from which he took a quick drink to settle his nerves. Shaking his head once, and clearing his throat, Simon approached the front door and knocked, only to have the door open as if expecting him. Upon a careful entry, Simon thought to follow a small number of voices that he heard just a few rooms away from the entrance. Trying not to be too awkward, he lightly knocked twice upon the door and entered, waving a hand in greeting. Inside, he recognized Professor Jakebson from School, though did not recognize the other two present. " Hello. I'm Simon... Pleased to meet you." he said, extending his hand to the two slightly younger individuals. @crystal7 Ginevra Molly Potter@superluigi64 @jaeger @teddy @crystal @victoire @hannah

Neville stepped out of the bathroom feeling much better. He’d spent all morning elbow-deep in grime and some of the most dangerous plants in the world. Even with the Ryutoki there to enforce control, the plants he’d grown all over Longbottom Hill were highly dangerous. It was the manor’s final defense, if the Fidelius Charm should be dispelled either through Neville’s death or by simply lifting the Charm because they believed it was no longer necessary. Even for someone like Neville, who had home-grown and trained these plants, who had the most powerful plant in the world to keep them from attacking him, taking care of them was dangerous in the extreme. For an enemy assault…well. Let’s say the safest route was in the air, right where the Ryutoki liked its enemies to be. Add to that the effort needed in maintaining his greenhouses—and only Neville maintained the greenhouses on Longbottom Hill, unlike at home where he had Philip helping him—and he’d been working a good eight hours already. He loved Herbology, but that didn’t magically make the work less difficult or dangerous. Now, after a nice shower, he felt quite a bit better. He summoned a bottle of pumpkin juice from the kitchen, pulled on a white t-shirt and black pants, and made his way downstairs, sipping at the cold juice. He reached the side entrance to the drawing room just after Callahan introduced himself to the others, quietly opening the door and peering in. Only a handful of people here already. Teddy and Victoire, his oldest “kids” as it were, and Jakebson and Callahan, two of his professors. “No one else here, then?” he asked, walking over to sit down in one of the older armchairs in the room—the one his Gran had always sat in when she entertained visitors. “I’m sure they’ll be along shortly. How’re you feeling, Victoire?” This couldn’t have been easy on the girl. And he doubted Victoire was exactly thrilled by there being a secret meeting to discuss the Order supporting her bid for Minister. Victoire believed in the system, and this probably didn’t feel exactly right to her. Unfortunately, the system had failed them all once before. Neville remembered. When the next oldest person in the room was riding a toy broom around their home, he was wading through a sea of blood and bodies because the Ministry would not act when it needed to. And it was happening again, with the last two ministers. What they were doing was nothing illegal, though the meeting place made it seem that way, since very few people could even get to Longbottom Hill. And it was needed. Victoire wasn’t afraid to take a stand when it mattered. They needed that force of will to be in charge, now more than ever. He eyed the girl—he had always been willing to listen to her when she was a student, and that hadn’t changed just because she was an adult. @crystal7 Ginevra Molly Potter@jaeger @teddy @crystal @victoire @hannah @jaeger simon sixten svendsen

Hannah prepared a pot of hot choco in preparation for the guests to arrive. It was still cold out there, after all. When she began to hear voices in the room, she made her way there with mugs following her in the air. She entered after her husband did and let the mugs land softly on the table. "Feel free," she said, giving a smile to Calex, Teddy and the other man who she hadn't met. She lifted a mug off the table and walked it over to Victoire, placing a gentle hand on the blonds elbow before summoning a mug of choco over. She moved to her husbands side in order to kiss him lightly on the head before straightening up to glance around the room, making sure everything was in order before stepping beside the other Professor. Victoire flipped around when she heard someone speak. Of course they were the first ones there. Fate had a funny way of messing with Victoire even when she was already incredibly stressed. He had moved closer to her, but not too close. Good. She didn't have the brain capacity to deal with 'too close' right now. "Yeah," she replied, raising a slight eyebrow at his nod of greeting. Then he went on to say how he was sorry about the Minister. Well, she had heard that plenty of times, hadn't she? Still, the word Minister caused an excited lump to shoot up into her throat, and she cleared it. "Thank you," why was he looking at his feet? "I'm sorry I haven't contacted you since-" before she could finished her sentence the door opened, and Professor Jakebson walked in. She let out the breath she had been holding and gave him a nod, "Professor. Glad you could make it," she smiled, turning away from Teddy. Neville walked in after that, follow by Hannah and Victoire smiled at him, her face filled with relief. The two hadn't been incredibly close by any means, but she trusted him and that was enough to help her heart stop pounding in her ears for the moment. "I'm sure they will," she said with another short nod. As he asked how she was feeling, Victoire hesitated, taking the cup of choco that Hannah offered her. "Well enough. Still breathing," she answered with a bit of a shaky laugh.

It was swell to meet everyone that had gathered so far. There was even offered hot choco! He didn't go for the inviting fluid immediately, though, as he was sidetracked by the introduction of one 'Hannah Longbottom'. Hoping that his obvious American accent didn't throw her off, he spoke. " My name is Simon Callahan, recently established Professor of Alchemy at Hogwarts." he said. " Ah! And many thanks for the hot choco... April seems much colder here than I am used to." Simon realized that she might have no idea about what he was talking about and corrected the moment. " Forgive me... most of my life was spent in either the States or New Zealand, though if I can be of any help, don't hesitate to ask! It would do me well to become more acquainted with the 'Order." @hannah @superluigi64 @jaeger @teddy @victoire @crystal7 Ginevra Molly Potter

Teddy looked up when Victoire then apologized. He kind of shrugged. "Don't worry about it... I know you have been..." He struggled to find the right words. "Busy, and all..." His voice fading as someone else entered.
The first person to enter the room after Teddy, he did not recognize. He was not at the last meeting, but he seemed like he meant business. Plus Victoire called him "professor." Teddy nodded a 'hello' in return to him. The next man was another that Teddy had never met. For some reason he suspected these two to know one another already, as the newest man came over and extended his hand to Teddy and Victoire. For a second, Teddy glanced at Vic but then returned his eyes to the man and offered up a slight, polite smile and shook his hand. "Teddy Lupin. Glad you are here," he said, nodding at the man. It was good to see unfamiliar faces at the meeting, different from what had been there the last time. This meant their plea was being heard.
Teddy could not help but straighten up a bit when Neville Longbottom entered the room. Neville was much like an uncle to him, and he respected him immensely. He seemed to know the other two men there, and that seemed to hint to Teddy that perhaps he knew them from Hogwarts. Then Neville asked how Victoire was, and instinctively Teddy turned his head quickly to look at her. He didn't even notice that Mrs. Longbottom had entered with the sweet smell of cocoa.
Teddy knew that shaky laugh well. Victoire was nervous. Understandably so; her boss had just been murdered. Who knew what kind of stress she was under from the chaos at the Ministry? But something told Teddy that there was something else... Like... why they had all gathered there today...

He didn't mean to be running a bit later than usual. He would have liked to have been there first so that he could have talked to Victoire and made sure that she still wanted to go through with this. And to talk about exactly what her plans were. But alas -- it didn't work out like that. Then again not a lot of things were working out for them in general anyways. He was still having to deal with his wife's memory problems and his daughter's werewolf problems and of course his younger son wasn't hardly speaking to him and that wasn't helping either. Nothing was helping him right now. And of course the evil forces weren't helping him out either. Ugh this was getting entirely out of hand. It was ridiculous! This was getting to a point where no one was safe--not them, not students, not teachers--no one. And that was unacceptable. thankfully though if things went well--then their new minister would actually care more about this then saving face and then do something about it. And he had faith in Victoire. Yes there were going to be forces that worked against her -- forces that wouldn't want another female being minister and let alone such a young female. She'd be the youngest minister ever if things went their way. If that was...But Harry was confident -- the order would back them up. They would understand the situation and what was going on. They would back them up... ...or at least he hoped they would. He was at the meeting place and he heard the voices and it seemed as if most of them were already here. Good. That meant that he didn't have to wait too terribly long for a lot of other people to show up. He walked in and saw Neville and Hannah -- Victoire and Teddy and then two professors from the school. The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and then the Alchemy professor. He knew Calex well but he wasn't sure who the newer professor was but concerned he was not. Clearly he was to be trusted if he got into Neville's house with all of its defenses and what not. "Evening everybody. Sorry I was late. Things have been quite hectic lately." that wasn't even the word for it and he knew it and everyone else here probably knew that but he didn't have to go into that... @victoire @teddy @jaeger simon sixten svendsen@hannah @superluigi64 Ginevra Molly Potter

running a hand through his hair calex watched more people come into the room. hannah and neville. "evening"he reached forward to take a cup of hot chocolate as he listened to them talk and make introductions. "hey victoire" he nodded his head a little to victoire when she greeted him. he turned his head to neville and hannah when they had finished talking to the other people in the room. "how's things in the greenhouses?" he asked the headmaster of the school. he wondered how many people they had to wait for before they could start the meeting. things at the school had been too quiet for a moment and it was a little unnerving. he glanced up as someone else walked into the room. "evening harry" he spoke, putting the cup down when he had finished the chocolate liquid and went back to his spot of leaning against the table while waiting for the meeting to start.

Ginny wasn't sure if she was even going to come to this meeting. Because really, she'd been trying to get into Order meetings for years and was never allowed. Now all the sudden she was supposed to be used to the fact that she was actually invited? The idea excited her, but it also freaked her out. She was one of the adults now, with her own kids wanting to eavesdrop on the meetings. Harry had told her she didn't have to come, but he knew that she would enjoy it. At least, that's what he said. It had been two months since her attack and she still wasn't used to calling Harry her husband. She liked it, no doubt about that, but she was overwhelmed. Hannah Abbott-erh-Longbottom met her on the grounds before the meeting. Ginny arrived early, still astounded that Neville was married and own this house and all. She was hoping arriving early and talking it out with her friends would make her feel more confident about it... but it didn't. So now everyone was inside the room, greeting one another and exchanging pleasantries while Ginny stayed in the kitchen next door. She leaned against the counter, chewing on her lip, unsure of whether or not to go in. ---
((what's our excuse for Ron and Hermione not being there? Business out of country? Should we just pretend they are there? I still need to talk to my friend about finishing her Hermione App...anywho, thoughts?))

Vic bit her lip at Teddys worse, taking a step forward before the others started entering. She turned and gave the new Alchemy Professor a short nod, "Victoire Weasley. Junior Assitant to the... Minister for Magic," she hesitated, of course, because there was no Minister for magic at the moment. She and Seb had basically been running things and it was all unorganized and messy. Hence why the running for the next Minister for Magic was a hot topic and the ball needed to get rolling.
When Harry walked in, Victoire felt a surge of relief sweep through her. She almost moved to him, but she decided to hold her ground. "Thanks for coming everyone. I know it's a bit unconventional for me to be speaking up but... Harry and I had a proposition we wanted to discuss with you all," she felt like her throat was dry, but her outward appearance tone wasn't affected at all. She gave an air of being just as confident as ever. Though, most people in the room knew her incredibly well and probably could tell the difference but she didn't dwell on that.
"As you all know, Minister Cain was murdered and the Senior Assistant, Dwight Winterfield, was attacked in his home over Christmas break and has been hospitalized, possibly indefinitely," she took a breath, "the ministries head office has been run solely by myself and Sebastian Rockefellar. The ministry is in a hurry to replace the missing members of the department, of course, and so are we." She took another pause, preparing herself for the words she hadn't yet sad out loud, at least not in this fashion.
"The purpose of this meeting is to announce to you all that I will be running for the Minister position. I, myself and Harry, are asking for your support in this."

Neville lifted a hand to run through his wife's hair as she kissed him on the head, smiling at the simple touch of her lips. He absentmindedly summoned a mug of hot chocolate to himself. Normally he'd have gotten up to get it, but Neville happened to be sitting in his favorite chair at the moment, one that could even make him lazy for a short while. Her hot chocolate was always good—though, admittedly, the kind she made for the family on special occasions was the best, with toasted bread cut into cubes and set to float in the chocolate, and crisscrossing lines of honey all over the top of it all. Too much effort for a simple Order meeting, of course, but what could he say? She spoiled him, after all.
He listened to the others talking, just enjoying the normalcy of it all. They might all be meeting for a reason that was far from normal, but it still felt like a small gathering of friends. They hadn't been able to do that this year, with everything going on. Hopefully they would figure out who the attackers were soon and be able to go back to enjoying life this way.
He raised his mug to Calex as a greeting, but let himself relax up until Harry showed up in person. Harry's arrival meant that, whoever was missing, the meeting would start shortly. Victoire sensed this too, as with Harry's arrival, she decided to go into her spiel. He listened calmly, but when she was finished, he voiced his major concern with it all.
“You sure about this, Harry? I'm well aware she's qualified for the job, but are we sure we want to paint the target on her back?” The target had to go somewhere, of course, which was why Neville had stepped into the role of Headmaster for Hogwarts. He had expected Harry to back someone with a history in war and combat, maybe someone from the DA. Let Victoire have the job itself, let her take the title once they had stopped these attacks, but surely someone could wear the title in her stead for now? Victoire was no child, but...well, there were simply people more qualified than she to stand up and ask to be used as live bait.

Hannah nodded at Professor Callahans introduction, "It's lovely to have you with us. London is quite a bit colder than America, I hear," she chuckled. Really she loved the British weather. It suit her, and it suit her pub well. As Harry entered the room Hannah gave him a little wave, gesturing to the kitchen in order to send a silent message that Ginny was indeed hiding out in there. Hannah had tried convincing her to come out but... it seemed she wasn't quite ready for this yet. Hannah felt bad that she couldn't help Ginny any more than she had already tried. Ginny had always been so headstrong and brave, even when she was sixteen. But, it must have been intimidating to feel like a child while everyone you loved was suddenly an adult. And to forget ones children... Hannah couldn't imagine something like that.
As Victoire started to speak, Hannah was slightly surprised that she announced the meeting over Harry. As she went on, however, it made sense that she begun speaking first. She had a rather serious proposal, and Neville beat Hannah to voicing his main concerns. She simply nodded at Nevilles words, understanding that there was no need to reiterate what he had sad.
