Sebastian had not quite known what possessed him to actually attend this meeting... he had heard about it and was invited to attend. He appreciated the cause they were supposedly fighting but Seb had to wonder if it was really his place to do so. How would this affect his job? Could this put him on some sort of list with the killer responsible for all of the other deaths? He didn't know. But he knew Victoire would be there and that was enough.
Sebastian had arrived at Longbottom Hill and was entering the home when he really began to wonder if this was the right thing. Was he doing it for the right reasons? Or just because of Victoire? In the end, he supposed that Victoire was the right reason. She was young and full of promise and he believed that she was going to do big things. He had to do this for her. Even if his feelings for her and their relationship were totally inappropriate.
Standing outside the door, Seb could hear several voices inside. Clearly he was one of the last to arrive. He sighed, imagining the embarrassment he would shorlty feel because of that. Sebastian came in just at the end of Victoire's announcement. He looked upon her as she finished speaking, thinking of how confident she looked in her words. Seb glanced around the room at the well known faces. Harry Potter, Headmaster Longbottom and his wife; all people whose opinions would surely matter on the subject. Then Seb realized, as a member of the Minister's team - his mattered as well. "I think," he spoke up. "It is a very noble idea." He said, looking back to Victoire. "I have seen Miss Weasley at work and I can assure you..." he paused, his eyes not leaving Victoire. "There is no one better suited for the job."

calex couldn't help but frown a little when victoire annonced that she wanted to become the minister of magic. he had to admire her bravery but had to wonder what the motivation behind it was. of course it would be wanting to put a stop to the evil that was growing within their community but still. it was a massive step to take. one that wasn't to be mad lightly. he nodded slightly when neville spoke up. agreeing with him thinking that it would paint a target on her back. he ran his hand through his hair lightly. dropping his hand by his side when he did before folding them over his chest lightly, he was never sure what to do with his hands really. "are you certain you want to victoire? i mean. noble notion or not. neville is right. this would paint a huge target on your back. not just yours but your family too. they wouldn't be above using your family to get to you" he spoke up, concern in his voice. he'd known dark wizards in his time, worked at hunting them and figuring out what moves they would make next.

he was late. he knew it. he hurried through the rain to the longbottom manor, sure he had the right place when it had been so hard for him to find. even after being told it's location by neville. almost slipping up the hill he finally made it to the front of the house. he tried to tidy up his hair a little before he went in but the rain had made it almost impossible to work with and he looked down at his legs and saw mud on the bottom of his jeans. well he had come through the rain. still it was a good look wasn't it? proffesional. yeah right. he sighed a little as he walked into the house, took his jacket off and hung it up on a weird looking coat rack so that he didn't drip more water than he needed too through the house and he wiped his feet before heading to where he could head voices emitting from a room. he slipped into the room, wiping his arm over his face to wipe some drips of rain from it before a small grin slipped onto his face. "sorry i'm late" he said, moving more into the room and catching something that one of them said. he looked at them all, wondering who was trying to become the new minister for magic. he only knew five people in the room by name, harry, neville and calex and that was because he worked with them. or had done in the past. of course he knew teddy because they had been friends in school and vic for the very same reason but still it was a little daunting as he walked over to the two of them. "what did i miss?"

Several things happened in Victoires mind in the next few seconds. First, she was grateful that everyone was so worried about her and about her family. Second, that she was slightly offended that perhaps they thought she couldn't handle herself. Third, her heart stopped beating when Sebastian appeared in the room.
He had been offered to join the Order in the past but hadn't come, but today he had. Vic wasn't expecting that, and she was nowhere near prepared for the flood of strange emotions that came from seeing him standing so close to Teddy. Her throat started to close up at the sight. But, as he spoke, she gave him a grateful smile-her eyes almost pleading for him to be near her.
When Calex spoke up, she gave a firm nod, successfully snapping out of her emotions for the time being. "My family has been through worse, and most of them are here now. As for myself, I have no doubt that this is a very dangerous thing to do, but I also have no doubt that if I have your support we can be successful in fighting this growing evil at Hogwarts." Her eyes flickered to Teddy, then away again as she continued to speak.
"I'll gladly accept help with protection, if that would make everyone feel more comfortable with the idea." As stubborn as she was, she wasn't stupid.

Harry let the younger woman take control of the meeting as it made a bit more sense for her to announce the decisions that the two of them had made. And as he thought--there were concerns. He wasn’t foolish enough to think that everyone would be on board with it right away and that there wouldn’t be any problems. He was too experienced to be that stupid. Of course they were worried about her well being and her family. Most of them knew how cruel the darkness really could be. And how they wouldn’t think twice about attacking the minister’s family in order to get to the minister themselves. It was a heartless tactic but one he was well aware of. He let them voice their opinions without interruptions. That was what the meeting was for after all. There would be opinions and problems to sort out. And they would sort through them. They were all different and had different backgrounds but they did come together and work together. ”It wouldn’t matter who the minister is at this point-- they would all be under the same risks and dangers that come with such a powerful position. And we are all aware of those dangers and I am sure that we can all work together to diminish those chances as much as possible.” there would be no way to be protected 100% of the time and without fail. Spells and guards were fallible of course (unfortunately), but every minister who took up the position knew that. And plus with the last minister and his complete obliviousness to everything--Victoire was about the only one he would completely 100% trust with this. He knew her and knew that she would do something and not just sit there and let the title get to her head. She of course would accept help for protection. Harry had already discussed with her the different things that they could work on to help. She could handle herself no doubt but he did not want another ministry death this year thank you. Or in any year in the near future but that was neither here nor there. He paused his thoughts as he listened to what the others would offer... @superluigi64 @hannah Ginevra Molly Potter@teddy @sebastian @victoire simon sixten svendsen@jaeger @jacob (I think I got everyone lol)

Zach had been there and had simply let the others do the talking and the socializing as he waited for everyone to arrive and for the meeting to start. Let's be honest here though -- he had far too much on his mind and wasn't actually paying attention at the moment. He was thinking about that conversation he had with that student not too long ago. Elaine Dupree. His suspicions of her started that day in the hospital wing when he had come across her and the other girl. They had been up to something then and there he knew but he couldn’t be sure and his questioning had gotten him nowhere. If it hadn’t been for the death that had happened the night before--he probably wouldn’t have thought much of it. This was a magical school after all -- accidents happened here far more often than they would in a muggle school probably. But this wasn’t the case and something was seriously setting wrong with him. This wasn’t the case though. Her being injured the morning after the attack on the chaser -- it was suspicious. Very suspicious indeed.
But he wasn’t sure. Should he say something? He was facing a serious dilemma right now.
He should say something and voice his concerns but -- what if he was wrong? What if she was innocent like she said she was? What if the injury really was caused by a slip on the moving staircases (that story if it was a story actually made a lot of sense but still!)? There would be trouble. A lot of trouble. More trouble than he wanted to deal with right now. They had enough problems to deal with than him getting into an argument over someone because of differing opinions. Ahh but what if he was right? And she was responsible for these acts? And what if someone else got hurt--or worse killed? He would never forgive himself for not opening his mouth then.
He snapped out of his mental train wreck as Victoire took the reigns as told them all why they were here this stormy evening. She wanted to become the newest minister of magic eh? Interesting. Any thoughts of Elaine and his suspicions went out the window as clearly this was a much more important matter to them all. They all needed a minister to guide them--to lead them--and to actually do something to stop these atrocities.
His own concerns were already voiced by several of the others. It would be putting a huge target onto her back. And her family's’ backs. The killers didn’t care who they took their aggression and angers out on. As long as it got them to their own twisted goals. Oh but Victoire and Harry had good points themselves. Who else would step up and do the job indeed. And it wasn’t like they didn’t know of the risks and dangers all around them...they weren’t stupid after all. ”I agree with everyone--it is dangerous but we all know that. And we can all work to diminish that danger and I will offer my help." and that was that -- at least for him...

Victoire wanted... to be Minister? Teddy had a difficult time masking the surprise on his face. But then again... was it really a surprise? Growing up, Teddy could always see Victoire in a position of power one day. She was practically there already! Teddy stood in silence for a moment, his eyes on Victoire as others around the room took turns voicing their opions - most unsure about the idea.
A newcomer then entered the room. At first Teddy did not notice him - then he opened his mouth. Teddy's head snapped his direction and he saw the man who was staring at Victoire as he expressed what a good idea it was. That was when Teddy recognized him; he had seen Victoire with him at The Leaky Cauldron a few months ago. They had come in and gotten a private booth in the corner. At the time, River had described them as coworkers out for lunch but Teddy knew the look that Victoire was giving him in that moment. It was hard to forget. She used to give him that look.
Teddy's feelings began to boil up inside of him. He felt angry... angry at everything. All of the murder, the doubt circulating Victoire... He needed to say something.
Teddy took a step forward, looking around at everyone briefly before looking at Victoire. "I will," he said, nodding. "I will volunteer as a guard." He made eye contact with Victoire. Teddy would lay down his life if protecting her was what it meant.

Vic nodded as Harry and the Professor said they understood the danger and would help. She didn't have time to respond before Teddy was suddenly speaking up, volunteering for this 'Victoire Guard' that seemed to be forming. Her jaw dropped, only slightly, as Teddy made eye contact with her. Pushing all emotions aside the best she could, Victoire stood up straighter. "Then it's settled. No matter who takes the job, they'll be in danger. And who better than one of us? And who better than one of us who is already a part of the Ministry? I'm the best choice," she turned to Neville, "and I hope you'll all support me as I go forward with this plan. With Harry, Hermione and their department backing me up in this dangerous time, I have no doubt that I will be Minister within the week. I plan to be one hundred percent involved with the Order as Minster, and I believe that what's best for everyone will come from the minds in this room and I expect to be meeting together even more often than we have been. Things are getting serious, obviously, and I plan to make sure it doesn't get worse." Her confidence was clear, her ambition unquestionable. The meeting was adjourned and Victoire was ready for the next step. She avoided Teddy and Sebastian, slipping out quickly in order to clear her head for what was to come.... le end
(Short meeting but I did extend the deadline BAHA. Suckers)
