This was getting ridiculous.
Everything was getting entirely out of hand!
Harry grumbled as he walked along the streets. Things continually got more and more stressful for him--for everyone since this new darkness had appeared. Whoever was behind these going ons was smart and clever. He had general ideas of who it could be but nothing that screamed of one person over another. And with the minister being oh so helpful -- they hadn't managed to get very far in their investigations. He still could not believe that the man could ever say that nothing was going on. He would never understand what could ever be going through his mind. And sadly he never would be able to figure that out either. He sighed--it must have been quite the shock to his system. To realize that he was deluded only to them be murdered and unable to make amends for those errors. He felt for Cain and his family--as much as he had felt for the family when Shacklebot was killed. He truly did. He may not have agreed with anything the man had said or did in his time as minister but that did not mean that he had to get murdered.
And so now what? They were minster-less. And in some respects perhaps a new minister would be a good thing and in other ways they were lost. They weren't exactly sure what to do now. And everyone was looking to him for answers now. Answers he didn't have and yet he couldn't tell them that. He had to act like he knew what to do and to be that leader that everyone half way expected from him when in reality he wasn't exactly that confident in himself. He didn't know which direction to go in now. And he was almost as lost as some of the other people around. But he had to keep that to himself--they expected things from him and he had to deliver. He could not and refused to let them down.
And of course there was the entire disaster with Will's father Chris. He had a feeling the man had given himself up to save his son. Even though he couldn't say for certain he had that gut feeling. He had told him not to do that! Not to give himself up! They needed his help--his knowledge--his expertise in fighting...they had already lost so many to the killer and their cohorts...they couldn't afford to lose him too. And yet within the week--he was gone. No note, no trace and no nothing. Harry sighed softly--he had been looking for any sign of the missing auror ever since but he hadn't gotten too far. Okay let's be honest he hadn't gotten far at all. It was like Christopher had disappeared off the face of the planet! Of course that wasn't true. He was somewhere and they had to find out where.
Which was why he had walked into the leaky cauldron--well that and a small drink. Hannah and Neville were both observant people and not a lot got past either one of them. If either of them had seen Chris since he disappeared or even before he vanished then they would have known. And that was partly what he was counting on. He sat up at the bar and was quick to spot Hannah. He gave her a small smile as she noticed him and acknowledged him,
"Hey Hannah. Uhh do you have a moment?" he asked not wanting to interrupt if she was busy but at the same time hoping that she wasn't busy enough and that he could ask her what he came to ask her.
