Transfiguration - 7th Years Today’s lesson was going to be an incredibly challenging one. Her seventh years didn’t have long left at Hogwarts but she wanted to make their final lessons memorable. Human transfiguration was going to be interesting. It was going to take a lot of concentration to get things right this time. Paris stood next to her desk, hair tied up high, robes touching the ground and her hands clasped in front of her, waiting for her seventh year students to arrive, take their seats. A smirk sat on the corner of her lips. The black board behind her had the spell for the day and the students names written on it. They were all paired up randomly by magic, though she had a group of three there too. She would have offered herself to make up the last pair with Miss Longbottom but she couldn’t very well be transfigured in the middle of a lesson. That would be irresponsible. ‘ PullusPairs as follow: HAGRID, carcer / SHACKLEBOLT, abigail SHACKLEBOLT, adelaide / DUPREE, elaine NOTT, theodorus / ELRIC, alucard ROUSSEAU, desirae / POTTER, james EDGE, cain / CREEVEY, ava DAVIES, Liam / SAGEBRUSH, marcia / LONGBOTTOM, alice' @ava , @liam , @crystal2 , @cainedge , @alucard , @carcerronaldhagrid , @alice , @theodorus , @james , @desirae , @marcia , @abigail , @adelaide @corianderpepsi random pairing *NOTE pairs have changed in post below! Transfiguration had proven tough this year. Earlier in the year, Alice had successfully transfigured a desk into a sleeping bag with ease but that was one of the more tame lessons. Things only got harder. Professor Rose was nice enough in Alice's book. She didn't particularly go out of her way to speak with her like she would with Professor Jakebson or Professor Aminev but she liked her all the same. Mainly because her lessons stumbled Alice in a good way. She felt challenged and Transfiguration wasn't one of the Hufflepuff's strongest suits, but she liked a challenge.
Alice entered the classroom and her eyes immediately found the names paired up on the board at the front. She scanned it and searched for her own name. Then, Hell froze over.
Why did it seem her professors were always out to get her by pairing her with Ravenclaws? While Alice really had no opinion of Liam Davies, he was still a Ravenclaw and therefore a threat. As for Marcia, Alice didn't have much of a lasting opinion on her either. She was dating a Ravenclaw though, so there was that... Alice could not help but let out a deep sigh and a huge eye roll as she made herself comfortable near the back of the class. If she was needed, eventually her partners would find her if they needed her...

Alice was the first to arrive for transfiguration. Paris had very little thought on the girl. She seemed like a nothing to Paris, she was little less than a blip on the radar. Of course that didn't mean she wasn't full of life and drama, Paris just preferred to focus on the drama of others, at least for the time being. Alice did not seem overly impressed with her pairing but Paris did not care. It was just a lesson or two for the pairings.
A little magical twinkle came from the top of Paris' desk, some silver sparkles and a gentle little noise. She noticed the sparkle at once and looked over the student register. A slight curl pulled at the corner of her lips. So, she was back. Paris was pleased to see the new name added to her class. Coriander had been away for a while and it was time for her to continue with her magical education. Of course Paris had been informed of her current condition and as such whom she would be paired with for a few lessons, until she felt ready to stand on her own two feet.
Paris turned to the blackboard and used her wand to edit what was there. Nearly everything would stay the same, there were just a couple of new changes made. When Paris stepped away, the new pairings were visible and she stood next to her desk, awaiting the rest of her students.

Ava enjoyed Transfiguration. It was a subject she had a natural talent for and as such she didn't have to focus too much on her revision for it and that meant she could focus a little more on her weaker subjects. It also meant less weird dreams when she revised Transfiguration because it meant less stress. Less weird dreams were definitely good in Ava's books, especially after her most recent one with the guy in the library. That had made her nervous. It still made her nervous to think about it.
On the bright side, Ava was very good at temporarily moving on from her thoughts and entering the transfiguration classroom was just the distraction she needed. She made her way to her seat an noticed who she was paired with. Great. Another chance for him to turn this into a competition. Well she was ready for him. She noted the spell in her mind and thought through all the information she knew about transfiguration but couldn't get her brain to work out what 'Pullus' was. She seemed to think it was some kind of human transfiguration and if that was the case she was a little nervous as to what Cain might do. At least their little rivalry was a friendly one and she hoped it would stay that way through this lesson. Looking about Ava waved to Alice with a smile. "Hey!" She would rather have been paired with the Hufflepuff but she would make do!
