School was about to end, which meant that Hestia and her dear friend Haymitch were going to meet for one of their regular 'Wine and Whine' sessions. What this was, really, was that the two of them would get together and discuss the foolishness in the world and laugh about people behind their backs, pretty much. Occasionally it would get deep and they would have some well thought out discussions about some real emotions, but that was a rarity. Mostly it was so they could vent and laugh with someone who didn't really know anyone else in their immediate circle. Hestia waited outside the Fountain of Fair Fortune which would be there meeting place this time around. She was rather excited about this today, what with he having just taught during one of the craziest school years ever! He was sure to have some good stories on him. And she, she had been working at the Ministry last month and still hadn't had a chance to talk to him about it! @haymitch

To say Haymitch needed a good drink would be a little bit of an understatement. the last few months at Hogwarts had been more than hectic and now that everything had finally calmed down after the return of the kidnapped students, Haymitch could finally break away to Horizon Alley with one of his good friends, Hestia Carrow, to have one of their old "w(h)ine sessions." The two worked in almost completely different places, so whatever they had to whine or complain about; it was unlikely that the other could go telling anyone as they didn't have any mutual friends or coworkers.
Haymitch had finally arrived in Horizon Alley and he had spotted Hestia outside their meeting spot, the Fountain of Fair Fortune. He quickly walked up to her and greeted her with a casual, friendly kiss on the cheek. "Evening, dear," he greeted as he did so. "Let's get a table, shall we? I'm dying for a little relaxation." He held the door open for her to enter before him, as a gentleman would. He followed her to a table and held the chair out for her to sit before taking his own seat. Haymitch had always been a gentleman where it counted, but when it came to Miss Carrow, it was strictly platonic. "On me this time," he said as he flagged down a waiter.

As he arrived and kissed her on the cheek in greeting, she returned the gesture and stepped through the door as he opened it for her. "I'm sure you are. Dealing with all those teenagers must be exhausting," she mused. She took a seat as he pulled out her chair and nodded at him in gratitude. The two had always had a very high level of class surrounding their relationship, it was just what they enjoyed. As he flagged the waiter and declared it was on him tonight she nodded and grinned in approval. Once they had ordered their drinks, she turned to him, ankles crossed under the table. "So, how is that little club of yours doing?" she asked. @haymitch

"You have no idea," Haymitch rolled his eyes at the idea of his many students he had to humor day after day. It wasn't like Haymitch hated being an educator, as there were certainly many students that made it enjoyable but there were just as many that made it miserable as well. "I'll certainly be glad when this year is over with." He commented with a sigh. The end of the school year could not come fast enough, especially after all that had occurred. He hoped for an easier year in the fall.
When the waiter left them, Haymitch took off his glasses to rub his eyelids out of exhaustion. "It's going fairly well," he said as he placed his glasses back on his face. "Not meeting as much this year, as I'm sure you can imagine." Of course he was referring to all of the happenings in their world. The school had cracked down on activities that weren't exactly relevant to learning and unfortunately the Slug Club was one of them. All in the name of keeping students safe, of course. "What about you? Any new fascinating projects I should know about?"

Hestia couldn't help but chuckle as Haymitch agreed that the students were... well, his comment and his eye roll said enough as to what he thought about them. He obviously enjoyed some of them though, considering he still worked there and he had that club. She nodded, "this year has been quite the insane endeavor, hasn't it? I don't know how you professors are handling all the drama," she said, rolling her eyes as well now. She couldn't be a professor, no way. She did not have the attention span for that many kids in one room to look after.
"Awe, that's a shame. Any new students in it I would like to hear about? Anyone incredibly interesting?" she asked, leaning back slightly in her chair though her posture was till upright, of course. Then he asked what she was doing, if she had any new projects. She shrugged. "I've been working with Alastor Draven on some new details for the Hotel and Casino. Have you been by, yet?" she asked. It had been her biggest project yet and if one of her dearest friends hadn't seen it, well, tat would just be sad!
