Ginny had been awake for several hours, seeing Harry off to work and attempting make him breakfast. The morning just turned into a happy disaster however when the happy couple got too involved in some morning kissing and the toast burnt. She had only been there with him again for about a week now, and she couldn't stop kissing him. Harry didn't have time to wait for a new batch of toast, so he had to leave home breakfastless. Ginny felt bad about that, but at least they had got some good snogging in before a long work day. The hours apart from him were agony, as she just wanted him in her arms all the time now that she was back.
She was relieved, however, that this was the day she was going to have lunch with her dear friend and sister in law, Hermione. it wasn't that hard to get used to Hermione being family. Oh, Hermione. The sweet muggle born girl had been there for her when Ginny thought Harry would never be interested, back in their school days. Hermione had helped Ginny get over him, only for Harry to be interested a little while later. Ginny chuckled at the memory, one she actually still had, as she got dressed in a navy blue shirt and black slacks.
Ginny arrived at the Leaky Cauldron early, being incredibly excited about the lunch date.

Hermione had felt a jolt of excitement when she had gotten the note from Ginny wanting to meet up for lunch. It had been difficult she knew for everyone when Ginny had lost the majority of her memories, including all from her happy marriage to Harry. However, lately Ginny and Harry’s romance seemed to be coming back, and Harry had seemed incredibly happy the past few days, despite the tragedy and tribulations at Hogwarts. She couldn’t help but be happy for her best friend; now if only they could get to the bottom of who had stolen Ginny’s memories in the first place, they’d all probably sleep better at night.
She Apparated from the Ministry onto the front step of the Leaky Cauldron as Hannah had suggested approximately five minutes before she was supposed to meet Ginny. Opening the door and stepping in, she spotted Ginny right away and smiled. Ginny had let her know that she remembered parts of their friendship from the school years, when Hermione would be her own personal cheerleading squad when it had come to Harry’s affections. It had worked out in the end for the two of them, and with her marriage to Ron, they had truly become sisters. “Ginny, I’m so glad you suggested this,” she said as she made her way over to the table. She stooped down and enveloped her in a warm hug, before sitting across the table from her. “How are you doing today?” she asked her.

As Hermione arrived, Ginny gave her a wave and hugged her back before Hermione sat down. "It's so good to see you. I'm great," she said, her smile growing at the sight of her friend. She had seen Hermione recently at the little engagement party she had, but there wasn't much room for one on one time there. "I suspect you're very busy, what with your job and all, so I'm glad you had some time," she said, chuckling a bit. She shuddered and shrugged, "it still feels weird to think about all the grown up things you all are doing right now. I talked to the Prophet, though, and I might try to do my job again..." she had a bit of learning to do before she could do it, however. Her old Harpies Quidditch team actually wanted to get together later that week. Ginny was both excited and terrified by this concept, for she only recognized one or two names of the ladies on the list, and she didn't even know them that well in school.
"How are your kids?" she asked.

Hermione was genuinely pleased that Ginny was going to give her job a try again. It had been a rough few months, which had cumulated with Harry coming to Molly’s house at the same time as herself and had spilled how he was coping with everything. The fact that she wanted her job back and was showing interest in it again must mean that her memories were slowly beginning to reform, which was something she wanted more than anything. “I’m so pleased that you’re thinking about picking up your column again, you really do a fantastic job of writing so that someone like me can understand what’s going on,” she said with a laugh. It was a bit funny; she had dated Viktor Krum for a little while when she was younger, and had married Ron, who came from a family who truly loved Quidditch and played with all of their hearts. “And I will always make time for my sister,” she said, reaching across the table and squeezing her friends’ hand.
She couldn’t help but smile when Ginny asked about her children. They luckily had gone unscathed in the attacks on the school, but she knew they had seen horrors she wouldn’t have wanted them to ever see if she could help it. “Considering everything, they’re both doing well. I think Rosie has a new boyfriend but she won’t tell Ron or I who it is. I expect she’s just not ready to step out with him,” she said with a half shrug. “How about your children? How are they doing?” she asked.

Ginny shrugged and blushed a bit as Hermione said she was glad she was going to pick up her column again. "I don't know if I'll be any good at it but... it's worth a shot," she added. She chuckled as Hermione said she was good at explaining how things worked to non quidditch savvy people. "Well, that encourages me," she said with a smile. As Hermione squeezed her hand, Ginnys shoulders slumped slightly, dropping the act that she had herself all together at the moment. She simply tightened her grip back before pulling her hand away.
Ginny raised an eyebrow at the next part, "a boyfriend? A secret boyfriend? That sounds fun," she chuckled. At the mention of her own kids Ginny blew air out of her lips to move hair away from her face. She shook her head, "I don't know what's with this family... I mean James had to find that poor girl on the train last year and Albus blew up a tower. Lily," she half scoffed, half chuckled, "seems to be the most emotionally calm one which is strange since the wolf attack and all... she almost seems pleased with herself," she sighed. "I'm not sure I even know them well enough to actually help. I'm just doing what my mum would do and it's seemed to work," she started to smile now. "I really like those kids, though. Albus is unexpectedly the one I've grown the closest too so far."

Hermione smiled, trying to hide the sympathy she felt for Ginny. She couldn’t imagine not knowing her own children, and she only had two. “Don’t worry Ginny, we’re all working to find out how to get your memories back. In the meantime, your children and your husband love you unconditionally and have your back at all times. As do Ron and I,” she told her reassuringly. It had been quite the turbulent year for the Potters, first with James, then with Albus’ incident, and now Lily. It seemed that Rose’s secret boyfriend was just a tiny topic compared to what the family had been through.
The waiter came by then, and Hermione ordered a chicken salad sandwich with crisps and a pickle with an ice tea for a drink. She waited while Ginny put in her order, taking a sip of water. When she was finished, Hermione waited for the waiter to walk away before resuming their chat. “So...Lily is a werewolf now? How is that going?” she asked her. She had been at the Ministry when Harry’s message had come in about Lily’s bite, and she had contacted Ron before rushing to the hospital wing herself. Ginny hadn’t been kidding; Lily had seemed quite calm and even more confident than ever. She had even wondered if perhaps Lily had been bitten on purpose.

Ginny simply nodded as Hermione spoke of the support she had and of how they were trying to get her memories back. "It's strange... it doesn't feel like they're gone just... out of reach," she explained, shaking her head and looking down at the table for a moment, "it's like I know their there, I do but... I can't access them. It's unlike anything I've ever heard of before, you know?" she continued. They had discussed it before, but now Ginny felt like she was sensing even more that the memories weren't entirely gone... it hurt her brain to think about it.
At the question of Lily, Ginny sighed and leaning back again. "I have no idea. She's just so... intense, that girl. I see a lot of myself and Harry in her but there's... something else. Something I don't understand," something she was a little afraid of, "they're going to have the wolfsbane administered by the nurses now and keep the werewolf student separate on full moons. She won't like that. Being kept apart, I mean."

Hermione nodded, frowning slightly. “I can't imagine how frustrating it must be – sensing familiarity but not being sure of it,” she said softly. “Do you have any idea what may have happened? Do you think it was something you ate or drank, or maybe an attack?” she asked her. She took a sip of water to clear her throat as the waitress put their food in front of them. She took a bite of her sandwich while Ginny went on about Lily and her new condition.
“I can't believe it still. When Rosie told me I thought she was pulling a prank...and then I remembered that it's not Rose's style,” she said with a nervous chuckle. “There are a few werewolves up at the school though right? So maybe she won't be totally alone. And they have the Wolfsbane potion as well; it'll make it easier for her,” she mused. She took another bite of her food before changing the subject. “So, with some of your memories...sort of coming back, what's next for you and Harry?” she asked. She had never known a more stable couple than Harry and Ginny (she and Ron had certainly had their turbulent years early on) and she knew the past few weeks had been really tough on them both.

Ginny nodded her head, ”it gives me a headache,” she admitted, sighing slightly. At Hermiones next question, her head shook, ”Harry said there was some sort of attack that myself and Constance were in, she’s a healer at Saint Mungos, but how they did it… I don’t know. It’s some pretty advanced magic,” she said
”I think she’ll be all right. Heavens knows she’s acting fine,” Ginny didn’t know much about the other wolves at the school, but she was sure it could easily have been one of them. But the school was pretty careful about that stuff, which mean Lily must have done something really stupid… Ginny pushed that thought aside for now. Ginny shrugged, ”well, I moved back in so that’s a start. It’s harder for him than it is for me, I think, considering things are… well, I’m just not used to being married,” she admitted. ”How’s Ron? How are you and Ron?”
