There was a Sagebrush among the kidnapped students.
The moment Ambrosia heard the name she'd demanded the girl be put into her.... care. There was a blood thirsty look in her eyes, a bone chilling anger that would not be satisfied. It was a hatred so deep she wouldn't have hesitated to destroy anyone that got in her way. Maybe that was why the others didn't dare to object. Didn't even hesitate. Ambrosia didn't say why she wanted the Sagebrush girl, and no one asked. She was just led out o the room by one of the mercenaries, her request fulfilled.
The girl was brought to a separate room. Her hands and feet were bound. And Ambrosia leaned against the wall, near the door. Waiting. She hadn't spoken a word to Marcia, and wore no mask. She didn't care if the girl knew what she looked like. She wouldn't remember anything when she was done with her. But first.... she needed to be patient.
They were about to have a lovely family reunion....

What in heavens name was happening to her? Not that she really believed in heaven, but that was beside the point. One of the masked men came in, kneed her in the gut, and dragged her out of the room, leaving Cain, Adelaide and the others behind. What could they possibly want with her?
Well, she could think of one reason why they would want her. Her parents were incredibly well known dark wizards in America... did they think she was just as bad as they were? Did she want her to join them? If they did, why would they bind her hands and feet and drag her into a separate room where a terrifying woman was looking at her as if she was something to eat?
"Who are you?" Marcia said, shifting herself to get a look at the woman, "what do you want?" she spat. She wasn't going to go down quietly, no way.

To say that Ashley was panicking would be a large understatement. She was sjust about losing her mind. Her recently discovered Half Sister, Marcia Hawkins, formerly Sagebrush, was down there with the other kidnapped students. Ashley didn't know what she wanted to do about it. Marcia didn't even know about her and, well, she almost rather would have it stay that way.
But it seemed Ambrosia had other ideas. She hadn't told her why, but she told Ashley where to meet her that evening and Ashley arrived to find a young girl bound and lying on the floor in front of her sister. Ashley looked over at Ambrosia, "is this... is this her?" she asked. The confidence she generally carried had dissipated, for a moment, as she turned back to look at the girl.
They had the same cheekbones.

Ambrosia didn't speak to Marcia. Just tilted her head to the side and narrowed her eyes. In fact, she made no sound or other motion of she heard the door open, followed by the hesitate voice of her half sister. Slowly Ambrosia dragged her eyes away from the girl and to Ashley. "...." Still nothing. But there was a dark smirk slowly stretch across her lips. Pushing herself away from the wall she crossed the room, to where Marcia had been tossed.
She was positive this Hawkins girl was, in fact, a Sagebrush, and there was a way to tell for sure. You see, it was common for older pure blood families to have.... traditions. The Hongs, for example, were considered of age when they took their first unbreakable vow. The Sagebrushes had their own. She crouched down in front of Marcia, her expression going unusually still. "You do look quite a bit like your mother. You don't have much of her spirit though. Pity." She pulled out her wand. "Now which arm is it... Aquamenti." A jet of water rushed from her wand, dousing the girl, and washing away some of the makeup that covered the left silver. Ambrosia smiled, slowly standing and taking a step back. "There's your proof,." She wasn't speaking to Marcia, instead to Ashley as she looked over her shoulder at the young woman.

another woman walked in, asking if 'this was her'. Marcia had no idea what she was saying, or what she had done to these people. But, her eyes landed on the second girl and her heart started pumping. Wow, she looked a lot like her mother. With some sort of Asian blood mixed in, obviously. Marcia's jaw dropped as she slowly started to realize what was going on. Before she could finishing piecing it together, however, the first woman was crouching in front of her, saying she looked like her mother. At the word pity, Marcia spat in the woman's direction, but she had already pulled back.
'No!" she called out as the woman cast the spell on her arms, wiping her make up clean off. She couldn't do anything with bound hands and feet and no wands. Proof? What proof? She was looking at the other girl now, and Marcia was more confused than ever. "So, I'm my mother's daughter. Who gives a flying f-" she stopped, her eyes catching with the one who looked so much like her mother. Then her eyes flickered back to the one who had cleaned off her arm, then back at the other woman. Her jaw dropped. "What. Is. Going. On. Here?" she said.

Ashley new nothing about her mother other than what her and Ambrosia had dug up. She was apparently a big dark deal in America, and that must have been what Ambrosia meant by 'spirit'. Marcia didn't seem anything like a goody-two-shoes, but she clearly wasn't part of the Purifiers. If anything, she was against them. Ashley found herself hating her, before the proof even came to be. She found her heart pounding loudly in her ears and her gaze slowly turned into a glare. She nodded at Ambrosia when the arm was revealed. 'Dodged one bullet when mother gave me up," she said, moving closer to the girl on the floor and crouching down beside Ambrosia to get a better look at the girl, the arm...
"Where's the hair, Marcia? The flames? Don't you have those too?" the girl must have been keeping her emotions under control but Ashley wanted to see it, she wanted to see what their mother had done to her. She wasn't quite sure how to get a rise out of her... so she turned to Ambrosia with a raised eyebrow as Marcia asked what was going on. "Care to explain?" she asked her.

"There's no need for foul language." Ambrosia tsked at the teenager, a sadist smile on her lips. Obviously she wasn't here just to talk to Marcia. you could tell by the look in those dark eyes. No, Ambrosia was out for blood, but she was patient. She wasn't going to rush any of this. They had plenty of time, after all...
"I find the Sagebrush traditions vulgar and barbaric. They serve little purpose other then for show." Was her response to Ashley's remark. If Ashley had been given that metal arm.... Just the thought made her blood boil. Twirling her wand between her fingers, the woman considered how to best get an emotional rise out of Marcia. It was emotions that caused the flames. She was still deciding when the teenager demanded an answer. Ambrosia raised an eyebrow, with a look that looked slightly bored, as if a response was beneath her. But then Ashley rephrased the demand into a question. "Not especially. There's no fun in giving away all our secrets, is there?" She slowly raised her wand again, pointing at Marcia. "At least, not before we find out all of her's."
"Legilimens...."

So, they knew about her hair, too? Dodged one bullet when mother gave me up, one said. Marcias eyes widened even moreso at this and she couldn't stop her hair from bursting into flames at the thought that this girl was obviously and clearly related to her. Marcia didn't know of any aunts that she had, however, so that really could only mean one thing...
She opened her mouth to speak but closed it again, turning toward the first woman as she spoke of the Sagebrush traditions and their uselessness. Marcia agreed, but she didn't know what to say. But they weren't going to explain? What? Suddenly the wand was being turned on Marcia and she gasped loudly as her brain was being penetrated by the woman's spell.
She was kissing Cain in the abandoned classroom//She was helping Cain fight off those vampires in the forest//She was hearing the rumors about the man he had killed//She was moving to London, meeting the old couple the 'Hawkins' that was adopting her// She was listening to the shouting, the spell casting, things crashing and breaking as she hid in a closet while her parents were being taken away by the law enforcement, her own metal arm shiny in the dark space.//Her parents were kissing her goodbye and locking her in her room while they were gone, barring the door and windows like they always did.//Their maid Rosa left and never came back.//She was receiving her metal arm.//Her hair was catching fire.//She was looking up into her mothers eyes-
"Stop!" she screamed, kicking back, away from the lady, "get out of my head!" she cried.

At the gasp Marcia made, Ashley found herself reaching out to the girl, but not touching her. She waited as Ambrosia watched the girls memories, leaning forward with anticipation for what was going to come next. The girl was struggling against it, that was clear. She seemed to be rather strong willed as far as Ashley could see. The girl wasn't even in any real pain and Ashley was already wanting to stop it, but she shook off those thoughts. They needed something from this girl, something that was much more important than any sort of sentimental value that Ashley had for her. She was a stranger, after all. They had abandoned her. The Sagebrushes. The Hongs didn't even know about her, otherwise they would have come.
When the girl screamed for her to stop and cried for her to get out of her head, Ashley turned to Ambrosia. "Did you see her?" she meant her birth mother, of course.

Well, that was one way to make her hair ignite. Just mention her mother. Good to know.
Ambrosia's head tilted as she saw the memories, flashing before her. Processing it all with the skill and precision developed from performing this spell hundreds of times already. As it got farther and farther back, Ambrosia felt more resistance, the girl, Marcia, trying to kick her out. Her eyes merely narrowed, and she concentrated harder, refusing to leave. To end her search until she found what she wanted. At last she saw her though. Marcia's mother. And that was what finally gave Marcia enough strength to mentally shove Ambrosia out. The woman let her, and was smirking as she lowered her wand a touch. "You have interesting friends, Ms. Sagebrush." Ambrosia slowly said. "You're little vampire friend is here... isn't he?" She leaned forward, speaking softly, barely a whisper. She'd recognized the boy in her memories. They'd snatched him too. What an... interesting individual. Vampires were rare, to begin with. But a Dhampir? Even more so. And Ambrosia was curious. She'd satisfy her curiosity later though. Vengeance came first.
"I saw her." Ambrosia responded, finally standing up and taking a step back. "No mention of you, but the family resemblance is undeniable though." She looked at Ashley, still smirking. "Why don't you say hello to your half sister."

Finally, her mind was released and she gasped loudly, flattening her cheek against the cold floor beneath her. She let out a few more shaky breaths, not registering what was happening outside of her for a moment, until Cain was mentioned. She turned to face Ambrosia again, her jaw clenching. She opened her mouth as if to speak but then closed it again. What could she possibly say that wouldn't make things worse? If she lied about him being there she was screwed, if she told the truth she was screwed. There was literally nothing that she could do... so she closed her mouth and tried to remain stoic. She had to protect him any way she could, even if it meant going against her character and keeping her mouth shut. Her hair was still ignited, however. She couldn't stop that.
Half Sister? Marci's heart sped up about a million beats per second at the sound of that. "I- I don't have a sister," she said, though there was not a single ounce of confidence in her voice. She looked to the girl who was supposedly her half sister and began to chew on her lip. She saw her mother in that face, and that made her body started to shake with rage. "I swear I knew nothing about this," she said, jerking her head back to Ambrosia.

Ashley knew in that moment that she needed to learn Legicmacy, if only to see Marcias memories of her mother. She leaned forward as Ambrosia said that there was no mention of her, but that the resemblance was undeniable. Then she introduced Marcia to her and Ashleys face refused to show any emotion as the girl spoke of not having a sister and how she knew nothing about it. In a way that made Ashley hate her even more. She was useless to them, really, having no information on Ashleys past.. "She's just as in the dark as I am about all this, Ambrosia," she said, gesturing to Marcia with a look of disgust on her face now. That hair, that arm... the girl was a monster. Just like this vampire that she so clearly cared about. Ashley wasn't stupid, she had seen the way the girl had reacted when Ambrosia mentioned the vampire.
"Now what the hell are we supposed to do with her? The only thing she's good for is that pure blood in her veins but that does us no good if she's sleeping with some half breed," Ashley said, pushing off the ground to stand again. "What a waste."
