Injuries happened to Quidditch players all the time, but that didn’t make them any less annoying. Hadni was fine, but no one seemed to believe her on that front. She had been kind of brutally smashed by a bludger during Qudditch practice. They were supposed to be practicing with non active bludgers but somehow a live one got thrown in the mix and they weren't prepared for it. It flew toward Hadni and everyone sped forward, but it managed to make rather nasty contact with the left side of her rib cage and, of course, everyone was rushing to her side and then she was being rushed to the hospital.
She groaned as she was led into the admittance room, more out of annoyance than actual pain.. She hoped this wouldn't take long but apparently she had some sort of whiplash and possibly a concussion or something like that according to the teams on site medic. They also figured now was as good a time as any to mend all the other bumps and bruises she had accumulated but just not bothered with.
She was not a happy camper.

Sabina stepped into the room cautiously as she always did before visiting a patient. You never knew what you were quite walking into and she wanted to make sure it was 'safe' before actually looking at the patient. You never knew what you saw sometimes. Spleens oozing out, second arms, these were the kind of things that were the 'worst' of her problems. Unfortunately for Sabina St. Mungos was rather booked like every Summer and she had to pull extra shifts and cover other fields than her own. Enter blood, brains, and vomit. Lots and lots of vomit, mostly her own.
Please don't be bleeding.. please don't be bleeding she chanted in her head as she focused her eyes on the clipboard in her hand, her steps slow and steady, she just barely saw what was before her but it was enough for her to put together that there was in fact no visible blood at this point. There would have been some droplets on the floor.. or smears. Still, she didn't trust herself enough to look up and so she kept her eyes trained down.
"Hello I'm Ms. Zephyr, I'll be your healer for today. May I ask what the purpose of your visit is?" she asked rather formally, quill in hand poised at the ready. These formalities weren't normally necessary but she liked them. They served as a barrier to her problems, and helped her treat the patient without quite looking at them. She loved her clipboards.

As a healer came in the room Hadni was a little confused as to why the woman didn’t make eye contact with her, but she brushed it off. She was too annoyed, and in pain, to care. The bruise on her ribs under her clothing was no doubt getting darker and redder by the second, but other than that she just had some minor scratches and injuries. ”I was pummelled by a bludger,” she answered, her tone oddly cold as she said it. Then she took in a deep breath and looked down at her hands, ”I’m sure my ribs are broken and my shoulder might be out of place. It doesn’t hurt that bad,” she looked back up at the healer but didn’t seem to be getting eye contact from her just yet.
Hadni chose to turn her head to look toward the window nearby. Sadly, the way she turned was the same was as her troubled shoulder and she felt a sharp pain go through her back, she jerked back but didn’t make a sound. She wasn’t one to really complain about pain.

Sabina scribbled as she listened. Quidditch injuries sustained, possible fractures. Minimal pain.., well okay. That wasn't too bad. Confident that she wouldn't face anything particularly gruesome, she finally looked up from her trusty clipboard. As expected, she seemed in reasonably well health. Reasonably. She knew what kind of injuries came out of quidditch, sure there would be no blood but she knew for certain it wouldn't be pretty. A salve would work best, she thought to herself before taking a look, there was no need for any unnecessary wandwork when the damage wasn't all that crucial, and she preferred topical treatments before going for the more extreme, internal sorts. You never wanted to mess with the inner molecular structure of the body too much, plus the side effects were gruesome. Still... she had to see before making the decision herself.
"Would you mind lifting your shirt so I can get a better look at that?" she asked while pulling at the curtains that divided this half of the room. Currently no one occupied the other beds but she didn't want someone popping in while Ms. Carver was undressing. While she waited, she placed her clipboard down on the table off to the side and looked out the window, thanking the gods for not giving her a bloody mess. praise thee...

Hadni nodded as the healer asked her to lift her shirt and winced as she did so, revealing her side that was all bruised and beaten. ”Here ya go,” she said, letting the lady know she was ready to be examined. She sat still and glanced out the window herself then. She could just hear all the people who were going to be waiting in the hall for her when she was done. No doubt her mother had already called her step dad and her three step siblings. They tended to worry a little too much for Hadnis liking. And why ever for? She was a quidditch player! Injuries were a part of life! Still, there was the mystery as to who let out that bludger when the team wasn’t prepared for it....
”Do you play? Quidditch, I mean,” she asked the healer. Clearly she didn’t play professionally, since she had a job here, but people still liked to play for fun after school still, right?

Sabina winced as the patient revealed her wounds, sure it wasn't bloody but it didn't make the view any less gruesome. She held herself for a moment to keep from dizzying over.. or vomitting and tore her eyes away, Focus... Focus.. okay salve.. defintely salve.. perhaps with a bit of witch hazel bark inside.. and peppered mull beetles.. she thought to herself to keep from thinking about what she'd seen and pulled her clipboard back up and scribbled away absently what she'd thought, she was about to ask Hadni to put her shirt back down when she was asked a question.
Quidditch?
She looked up disgusted, although she couldn't discern if it was from having to see the wound once more or because she simply hated quidditch. It was hard to say, both were equally unpalatable to her.
"no" she laughed "I don't find dodging death particularly enjoyable. Honestly I think Quidditch was just invented to give healers something to do" she joked.

The look on the healers face when she mentioned Quidditch was a little disheartening. Clearly the woman was not a player and that was solidified when she answered. Hadni tilted her head to one side, "well, you're welcome," she joked back, seeing as she was in the hospital now for a Quidditch injury. She lowered her shirt on her own, sure that the girl was done looking at the wound. "So, what's the verdict doc? Will I last the night?" she joked, but in all reality she wanted to go ahead and move on with her life and was sick of being in this small room. Plus, this healer was a bit... odd. Not that Hadni normally minded odd people, but this girl almost seemed like she couldn't deal with the bruise, which was weird. She wasn't that great at eye contact, either, which was not ideal for good bedside manner.
"Do you like your job?" she asked bluntly.

"do I.... like my job?" she repeated the question, hesitant and almost confused by the very question it posed. Sabina began fiddling with her clipboard in hand, turning the edge of the paper over and then back as she considered the question carefully. well. There was certainly a lot of things she didn't like about the job. The blood, the magical accidents she had to view, dealing with patients who carelessly displayed their wounds. She certainly didn't like fainting or having to run into a closet to heave her meal of the day, a closet of so many secrets she wondered to herself how it was that no one ever discovered it. When it came down to the matter of it all, no, she really didn't like her job. But what else was there to do? She'd been building her career for years, to give up now would make everything meaningless. Irritated that this person caused her to reconsider her profession, Sabina quickly exchanged a scowl and then quickly added, "Upon further thought, I believe a salve simply wont be enough. The blood seems to be clotting and we must remedy that fast before it messes up your internal organs and you die a horrific and violent death. A shot will have to do." or rather a series of shots she added in her head. and with that said she began carefully removing a supply of rather large and menacing needles. The needles were pretty medieval at best, but she was feeling particularly vengeful. Having never been one for needles, Sabina couldn't help but think to herself that she might actually enjoy this more than she'd have imagined in her life time. "Lay down please" she stated rather quaintly as she held the first menacing needle in her hands, it almost looked as if she were smiling a sinister sort of smile. (ooc: MWAHAHAHA .. er.. sorry )

As the woman seemed to lose her mind at Hadnis question, Hadni tilted her head to the side. She watched as the Healer talked about how she needed a shot for her internal organs and her horrific and violent death. When the woman asked her to lay down, holding out the needle, Hadni tried to hold back her laugh for a few seconds before bursting out into loud laughter. She clutched at her side where her wound was because the laughter was incredible painful, but she didn't stop. Not for several minutes.
Finally, the laughter died down and she shook her head, "if you think I'm letting that needle anywhere near me in your hands you're kidding yourself. I think we need a second opinion. NURSE?" she called out, knowing that someone could be coming any second. She turned back to the healer, "what's your problem, anyway? Are you like a crazy person?"
(Hahah she's crazy I love it)
