Masin’s summer was already hectic. It was the beginning of June and she hadn’t spent any time away from the office except to sleep. She had written Casey here and there, but she didn’t really make time for him or anyone else. Not that she didn’t want to, she did, but when she got wrapped up in something she really got wrapped up.
Then something strange happened. The Minister of Magic had a meeting with her and some of the other new interns at the Ministry. Masin was expecting some sort of intense instruction and rules thing, and that was sort of part of it, but for the most part she just welcomed them and gave them some advice. That advice was to not let your career destroy what you had built at school. Friends and stuff. Masin was confused, was this really that important to her? It must have been if she brought it up to a bunch of newly aged interns…
This caused Masin to write Casey once again, but this time she actually set up a meeting time and place for them. They’d meet at Saint Mungos, since he was starting his training there. His training didn’t end until about midnight so she agreed to meet him there then.
There she stood now, in the lobby, eyes darting about for him amongst the other healers…

@delisle he kept looking at his watch for midnight to come. so far it hadn't been a very busy night for them. they had just started being allowed to go out with the qualified team. it was an experience, seeing how they worked and learning new spells that they had never even heard of in school. though these ones were more geared to healing where as magic taught at hogwarts was mostly basic, unless you wanted to start learning more. he ran his hand through his hair and tapped the edge of his quill against the pot of ink as he wrote a few things down on the parchment before him. they'd been called out to a quidditch game and he was starting to learn just hoe tedious the side of reporting the jobs he went on was.
though it helped pass the time, before he knew it his watch has dinged to let him know that it midnight and he could knock off. with a wave of his wand the light at his station turned off and the papers and desk made themselves tidy, the paper folding into a plane and flying off to where it needed to go. one of these day's he'd follow it so he could find out where it was, but today was not that day. he pulled on his jacket and zipped it up as he walked, hurrying to the elevators and getting down to the floor where masin was watiting. he spotted her there waiting and a smile spread onto his face. he wasn't one to hold back, not anymore and not with masin as he rushed toward her and moved to wrap his arms around her waist and he lifted her up so she was closer to his face. "now what's a girl like you doing hanging around a place like this at this hour" he said, tilting his head slightly as he spoke.

And then there he was. All of the hard work, the hard exterior, the coldness melted away at the sight of him. He wasn't even dressed up or anything, just wearing a zipped up jacket and looking tired from a hard day and night of work. She barely even had time to smile back before she was in his arms being lifted off the ground, her face just inches from his. "now what's a girl like you doing hanging around a place like this at this hour" even with such simple words and the slight tilt of his head, her heart beat came to a sudden stop in her chest. She loved that he had that affect on her, and she hated that she loved it. "I'm here to find someone. Tall, handsome, trouble maker. Have you seen him?" she replied, her voice low and mischievous. Her act was dropped quickly, however, when she realized how this must look. She was in her business best and he was in his hoodie and he was lifting her off the ground like they were long lost lovers or something. She probably looked completely ridiculous, and she was suddenly aware of all the people watching. She cleared her throat, looking into his eyes. "Do you want to get out of here?" once looking back at those eyes though, all she wanted to do was kiss this handsome fool. @casey hahah this pic looks like she's wearing that hoodie from your pic!

@delisle "I'm here to find someone. Tall, handsome, trouble maker. Have you seen him?" he chuckled as he looked up into her face and he wanted to just kiss her senseless there and then. but he knew there were some limits to the feelings that masin would have about that. he pretended to think, tilting his head and trying to look quizzical. "i think so? remind me again .. handsome? tall? and a trouble maker hey? maybe you should forget about him and come with me" he teased as he made to lower her back to the ground. that didn't mean he was planning on letting her go any time soon. he kept his arms around her slender waist and he looked at her. "Do you want to get out of here?" he nodded his head slightly and leaned his head down to brush his nose against hers before he dropped his arm from her waist and he moved to take her hand. "my place or yours?" he said as he glanced around them and smiled at some of the passing glances people were giving them. looking back at her. "we could get some take out"

"i think so? remind me again .. handsome? tall? and a trouble maker hey? maybe you should forget about him and come with me" the look on his face as he spoke those teasing words caused her own smile to grow and she wrinkled her nose at him, trying not to laugh. "I don't know, he might be a bit sad if I leave him..." she joked back, her voice get softer as she suggested they leave and he leaned his head down to brush her nose. Then, he took her hand and she found herself sighing with relief that he didn't pick her up to carry her out this time. "Take out sounds amazing," she said, gently tugging on his hand and leading him toward the door. "My place is fine," she added with a nod. It was just nice to have some time to spend with him, even if it was just one night after weeks and even if it would be the last night for a few more. If only there schedules matched up better, this would be easier... if only she wasn't such a workoholic and a comitphobe.... but alas, that was wishful thinking. @casey
