Sander raised his eyebrows when Callie said that most people didn’t realize she was taking their picture. He wasn’t sure he believed that – even when people pretended they didn’t know there was a camera around, they were definitely aware of it. It took an exceptional photographer to make a subject feel as if they weren’t being photographed, and while Lysander didn’t doubt Callie’s talents, he didn’t think that any student was capable of work like that. At least this conversation was making him think more about joining the paper, though in the end his answer was still more or less the same – unless it involved writing about magical creatures, he wouldn’t be interested.
“I hope you have a good time at your meeting, Callie.” The Ravenclaw said when the Gryffindor girl excused herself. He was glad to have the table to himself now. Sander had enjoyed Callie’s company, but there was only so much interaction one person could take when they weren’t used to talking to people on a regular basis. Maybe when school came he would wave to her in the halls. Then again, maybe not – he wasn’t sure if he’d even see her, in a castle that big. Only time would tell.
